My experience with Spedless was just the very best in every respect. Booking was so easy, a real person actually answers the phone here! The price was also fantastic compared to anything else I was quoted. On the day, I did not have to walk very far from baggage collection to where Simon, the lovely and helpful driver, picked me up in my car. I had booked a hatch especially to fit my triathlon bike, and the vehicle supplied was perfect. A very short drive to the office later, a few moments to sign the paperwork, and I was on my way. No waiting. Just so easy. The car was not totally brand new and had a couple of marks already; but I totally embrace that. It's a lot less to worry about. While I was on holidays, I received some really horrible news from home, so when I arrived back to return my car, everyone was really lovely and caring, and I was allowed to wait around the office until just before closing, rather than spend even longer at the airport on my own, complete with cups of coffee made for me. This is not just another car hire company. Here you get a car, and the human touch, that's so very rare these days. Thank you for looking after me.

Just loved dealing with this company, from Trudy on the phone to the owner James answering my calls to Simon changing cars for me. I have booked with many companies especially in Melbourne and I've never had this greater customer service. We had an issue with the immobilizer and gave them a call. I was so surprised to find out after that the owner answered my call. That is unheard of now. It shows he cares about his business. They swapped the car over for me. I was glad that the cars aren't brand new so I can relax in them like I'm driving my own car. I arrived and departed out of opening hours, but no problem at all. I paid a little extra for A1 airport parking to pick up and drop off, all organized for me by Spendless. A smooth transaction. Thank you so much for looking after me so well. I now, no longer need to look for a rental company when I come to Melbourne, I've finally found one that has great customer service AND fantastic prices. Thank you James

Absolutely wonderful people over here! International travel can be stressful and we chose this place over one of the onsite rental places at the airport based on the reviews and are so glad we did (definitely saw some nightmare reviews at the airport spots). Our flight landed shortly before they were set to close, but Danny was willing to stay a little late to pick us up and get us sorted out. While the cars aren't the most modern, they are excellently maintained and our rental was perfect for our first experience driving on the other side of the road. The after hours drop off was super easy as well—just take it to A1 Parking, give the people at the counter the keys, and then they shuttle you to the airport. Highly recommended!

The name says it all. I did spend less and received excellent, personal service that goes with a smaller company. Rented a small 5-speed manual Hyundai i20 saloon which was so economical. Nice to be able to still rent a manual these days. Not a new car but terrifically clean inside, it might as well have been near new. Straight after booking, received an email from James regarding flight arrival and communication was fantastic throughout. Danny was great and picked me up from the airport and dropped me off again at the end. Great service and great people. The fact that they also personally reply to reviews says a lot about the company; they actually care what people say.

Very efficient and friendly car rental. Fetching us at the airport pickup point takes less than 10minutes after my call. Just walk out of the airport and go to the pick up point near Royal Park. Collection and Checking out are fuss free. Helping to set up the Linkt for the toll, and checking all the defects and make sure it had been recorded and taken photo as it is. After I had returned the car, they will ask whether I need a lift to my destination. So kind of them. Too bad, I was just going to the nearby store, Cruisin Motorhome for my RV trip. It would be good if the car comes with reverse sensor.

We arrived in Melbourne on the Saturday and found Spendless Car Rentals after a disappointing experience with another rental company. We spoke to Danny and he got us fixed up and on our way to our hotel in no time. The cost was a lot less than the other place and the service was out of this world. Danny also advised when We got back with the car they would drive us to the airport which was fantastic. Will make sure that Spend less is my goto car rental company in Melbourne. Very good prize for the value of the car. Free airport pickup is easy, fast and conveneint. Customer service is very good: quick and constructive communication, good customer handling on the lot. Car was reliable and clean. Only thing to improve: you get picked up in your own rental car meaning that fuel is used on your own cost because you have to fill up the car later. This is only a minor thing and should not stop you from renting with them!

Rented a sedan with 2 child seats off them for two weeks (Feb 2020). The vehicle and child seats, while older models, were in perfect working order. Staff were friendly, helpful, and very easy to deal with. They promptly met us at the airport and dropping off the car was a breeze. They even gave me a coupon for the next time I visit which will definitely take them up on. Highly recommended.

This is a superb hire car company. The little Getz is a great runaround and as reliable as all Hyundais. You can hire at great rates and the attentive customer service is second to none including an airport shuttle if required. Many thanks to James, Trudy and Simon. Easy to contact, efficient pickup and drop off process and extremely accommodating when we had to make changes to our booking. The car was clean and tidy, exactly as described and fuel efficient. Great service and very good value for money. We hired a Nisan Tida for 4 days and it drove well without any issues. Pick up and drop off was a breeze and the staff very helpful, thank-you Matt and the lady who dropped us off at the tram stop. Would definitely use this company again.

We arranged for a large sedan and got a Ford Falcon which was clean, well-maintained and drove splendidly. Pick up from the airport was simple and after hours drop off using the lockbox was very convenient. Trudy and Danny were friendly and helpful.

The cheepest we could find. But very impressed with the serive. Free shuttle to and from airport (5min drive). Even after hours for a fee they provide a shuttle any time of night or eaely morning.

Though the vehicle was not new, it was very well maintained and reliable, and perfect for our needs, an 8 seater Tarago. They were very helpful when I left my E-Tag in the vehicle.
