What a beautiful place to visit. You can rent a chair on the lawn for 3£ an hour. Then there are the beautiful swans on the lake. There is a vast variety of trees. It is a place that is soothing to the soul.
Playground
There is a lot of room for children to play around.
Dog-friendliness
All dogs are welcomed. They can run, and play with enjoy themselves. Very good place to bring your dog.
Picnic area
Look around, any place you would like to sit by you can. There is a lake, willow trees, ducks, and lots more to enjoy while you have your picnic.
One of the most beautiful parks in London. Stunning, beautifully maintained flower beds, lots of people friendly wildlife and the lake. A serene and peaceful place of true beauty where you can just lose yourself to your surroundings. A place to visit time and again at any time of year. Perfectly located as it's within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Admiralty Arch, Piccadilly etc.
An amazing park that is a stones throw away from the Buckingham palace. If you are in the area, it is definitely a must see as the pelicans you find here are a sight. Interesting fact is that these birds were gifted by previous counties to past kings and they have remained in this park since!

St James Park is on the other side of the street from Buckingham Palace. Its a great place to stroll around specially with kids. They would love watching so many birds and squirrels so close. There is a specific tree which has flock of parrots and if they like you they will come and sit on you :-)
One of my favourite places in London ❤️ always beautiful and calming. The animals are wonderful; squirrels, pelicans, ducks, and lot of other birds I don't know by name. Such a good experience! Definitely recommended.
Restrooms
It was busy on sunday, but clean. 20 p, contactless payment.
Nice park to go for a walk after visiting one of the nearby attractions —Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards Parade, or Churchill War Rooms, all around the park—. What makes it stand out from other parks might be its birds, especially the pink pelicans. So keep an eye out for them.
Lovely park with a lake in central London with many tourist attractions around. Good place to have some relaxing time in this beautiful atmosphere between walk. We can witness squirrels and ducks along. To use the park chairs, need to pay based on hours of usage. More
Loved walking through here. Loads of birds and if you hear closely, you might hear woodpeckers chipping away at the tree trunks. And the trees!! they are so huge and majestic! Kinda make you wonder all the history that they have witnessed over the years. More
St James Park is nature's paradise. You can spend a whole day watching squirrels, ducks, birds & greenery trees all around. It's a place to relax & enjoy nature. I just loved this park as it's so big you can walk around leisurely. There is
A wonderful park. Buzzing with visitors, a very large lake inhabited by a variety birds. Beautiful flower beds and green space to take a stroll or to spend time relaxing on your own or with friends and family.
Situated close to Buckingham Palace, St James's Park is the city's oldest royal park. It is a green lung in the heart of London, a beautiful London tourist spot, with several interesting attractions inside.
A gorgeous summers afternoon out! Lots of brits and American tourists are always visiting here, beautiful to walk and watch the herons, squirrels, pelicans..you can get ice cream and drinks on site!
A really beautiful and well cared for park. Definitely worth a visit, especially given its proximity to the palace it's hardly out of a tourists way. Make sure to grab an ice cream on a hot day.
Really nice park leading Westminster buildings into Buckingham palace. You see lots of people having picnics and chilling in the shade. There is a nice lake and children playing area.
gorgeous ponds with cute pelicans! quite crowded so not very relaxing but enjoyable walk. no bathrooms anywhere so you gotta hold it. park is well maintained and near the palace
Great way to see the palace and London eye from the bridge in the middle of the lake... Also plenty of ducks to see a variety I was not ready to see, but loved all of it
Very nice and big park, full of squirrels, pelicans and many kinds of ducks walking around with you. Some of them are even friendly. Nice place for your morning walk
