A Tranquil Oasis in the Heart of the City - Regents Park Regents Park is an absolute gem nestled right in the heart of the city. As an avid nature lover, I was instantly captivated by the park's tranquil atmosphere and stunning natural beauty. This review is long overdue, as I have visited Regents Park numerous times and have always left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. First and foremost, the park's expansive green spaces are simply breathtaking. From perfectly manicured lawns to vibrant flowerbeds, every corner of Regents Park is a sight to behold. It's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful picnic with family and friends. The meticulously maintained gardens are a testament to the park's dedicated caretakers. One of the highlights for me is the stunning lake within the park. It's a haven for wildlife, and observing the graceful swans gliding across the water is truly mesmerizing. Whether you choose to rent a paddleboat or simply sit by the lake and enjoy the serenity, the experience is nothing short of magical. Regents Park also offers a wide range of activities for people of all ages. The sports facilities are top-notch, and I've had countless enjoyable matches of tennis and cricket with friends here. The children's playgrounds are well-maintained and provide a safe and fun environment for kids to play. Additionally, the park hosts a variety of events throughout the year. From open-air concerts to theater performances, there's always something exciting happening in Regents Park. It's the perfect place to soak up some culture while surrounded by nature's beauty. The park's convenient location is another major plus. Situated close to public transportation, it's easily accessible for both locals and tourists. Whether you're a resident looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life or a visitor seeking a serene oasis, Regents Park is an absolute must-visit. The only minor drawback I can think of is that the park can get crowded during peak times, especially on weekends and holidays. However, this is a testament to its popularity and is easily overlooked considering the park's vast size and the multitude of quieter areas to explore. In conclusion, Regents Park is a true haven of tranquility in the heart of the city. It's a place where one can unwind, connect with nature, and recharge. The lush greenery, picturesque lake, and well-maintained facilities make it an absolute delight to visit. If you haven't been to Regents Park yet, I highly recommend adding it to your must-see list. You won't be disappointed! Visited: Multiple times Date of visit: June 2023

Regent's park is one of the Royal Parks of London. It occupies 410acres of high ground In the NW inner London. In addition to its large central parkland and ornamental lake it contains various structures and organisations both public and private generally on its periphery, including Regent's University and London Zoo. What is now Regent's park came into possession of the Crown upon the dissolution of the monasteries in the 1500,and was used for hunting and tenant farming. In 1810 the Prince Regent proposed turning it into a pleasure garden. The Park is Grade 1 listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. There are several public gardens with flowers and specimen plants including; Queen Mary's Gardens in the inner circle in which the open air Theatre stands, the formal Italian gardens and adjacent informal English Gardens in the south east corner of the park and gardens of St John's lodge. Winfield House the official residence of the U.S Ambassador to the United Kingdom stands in private grounds in the western section of the park near to the capitals first large Mosque. Abutting the northern side of Regents Park is Primrose Hill another open space with a height of 64m (210ft) has a clear view of central London to the south east,as well as Belsize Park and Hampstead to the north. The public areas of Regents Park are managed by The Royal Parks (a charitable organization) At the moment there is a very artistic atmosphere to certain sections of the Park. Where they regularly have Art Exhibitions both indoors (purposely erected marquees) and outdoors (south east section of Park). The outdoors sculptures and models I think had everyone captivated with their bright colours and weird shapes. Columns, spheres, cubes even a semi naked man (sleep walking or in a trance) and what looks like a giant Continental Quilt suspended in animation in what seems to be a drift through the great Park.
Playground
There are at least 2 separate playground areas for young people to enjoy themselves.
Restrooms
The toilets and bathrooms normally require a small payment at an entrance gate. But they are very clean and tidy and disabled equipment is accessible.
Dog-friendliness
There are some signs up with a warning about dogs not being allowed in the park.
Picnic area
There are 2 small and 1 large cafés and a theatre in the park with seats and tables.

The name of the park is 'The Regent's' and is located in centeral London. It is one of the best local park in London as it is as enormous as Legoland. It is a paradise on the earth because mostly, you don't find such good parks in London because it is all polluted there. You can find lots of things in the park such as: baseball, tennis and skating courts, cricket and football pitches... It isn't that crowed as well. You can find different people playing different kind of sports or children playing on swings. The grass is cut and layed out stunningly amazing. The branches of trees don't pop out and is cut in really good way so that it looks beautiful and prevents any kind of hazards. You can find different kinds of colourful birds such as: green parrots, colourful parrots, normal bird, etc.
Playground
It was beautiful, the grass was cut nicely. Because it's autumn, trees falling leaves over grass makes it look awesome.Playground was vast and clean, lots of people walking, children playing. It was beautiful.
Dog-friendliness
It really was dog friendly, saw many people with dogs. Dogs seemed to love running over grass.
Picnic area
Picnic area is even nicer gives a spectacular look to the park.

One of London's most famou parks that also houses a private university - Regent's University London. There is so much to explore in this park that you might need to come at least twice ( and preferably during the warmer months) so you can enjoy all that the park has to offer. There are smaller gardens within the park such as the English and Japanese Island Gardens, the Boat Lake, The Open Air Theatre for drama buffs, and of course, London Zoo on the northern tip of the park, just before Primrose Hill. I personally enjoy sitting by the boating lake as I witness the park's wildlife in live action. You can also go on a boat ride that costs from £9.70 for 30 minutes but do check the Royal Parks website or other reviews as prices may change. ( Concessions £7.50 and children 3-15 years is £4.45). Best to dedicate most of your day if you want to explore this park ( as with other London parks) but once you visit, you'll definitely want to come back as often as you can! *There are decking chairs that start from £3.00 an hour, so do be careful if you are asked to pay or just make sure you use the chairs for less than a hour or....bring your own if you can!

Attended the taste of London event and to be honest it was such a lovely area to hold it. Used public transport to get there and it was easy peasy. To get into the event itself it was a bit of a long walk and could have done more with regard to signposting to give encouragement and inform that you were indeed on the right track. Otherwise, it was almost like being in holiday. Didn’t get to venture the majority of the park, but did notice there was a children’s play area that looked pretty cool. Think I would attend this even again, perhaps at night, just to see how it feels to be there at that time.
Restrooms
These were a nice upgrade to the usual portable loo, even had an accessible one available, which I was quite impressed by. These type of loos are usually only reserved for VIP guests at these type of festival events. As such, it was good to see everybody being treated fairly.

The best place for spending your day with kids. I have been visiting this park for many years and my children loves it. There is places to walk, beautiful garden, boating lake and best of all, can have a nice relaxing picnic. It’s our family’s go to place if we want to experience travel by train and just chill. Situated in central location yet feels like far away from the hustle. It’s a very good place to unwind and be yourself. A must for everyone. At times we have seen small music gigs in the open too. Highly recommended.
Playground
Plenty of green space including a small kids zone with sand.
Restrooms
There are restrooms available with a small fee to keep it clean
Dog-friendliness
It’s is absolutely pet friendly.
Picnic area
It’s entirely upto you and your family on when and where you can have it. There is abundance of green spaces.

The park in full bloom with sun seeking Londoners flocking (like the ducks and geese on the lake) to the abundance that is The Regent’s Park. This is a London park that has a dozen personalities from paddle boats to banks of rose gardens, a cafe, open air theatre, and many more surprises around every bush, tree and rockery. It’s impeccable maintained and well serviced with public transport. We only experienced pro-social and appropriate behaviour with more that enough space to accommodate the rolling “hoards”. This is the venue for relaxing with friends, a day out with the children, a picturesque stroll over bridges and around waterfalls, watching the sunset, and ample other ways to spend a joyful day outdoors in the middle of a metropolis.

  • Mos

Regent’s Park is a magnificent green oasis in the heart of London. Its sprawling lawns, vibrant flower displays, and serene lake make it a true urban gem. Whether you’re strolling along the tree-lined paths, picnicking on a sunny day, or visiting the world-famous London Zoo within the park, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The park’s beautifully landscaped gardens, like the Queen Mary’s Rose Garden, are a visual delight, especially in spring and summer. A visit to Regent’s Park is a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, offering a refreshing blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. It’s a must-see destination for both tourists and locals alike.

  • S. Alexandra

One of the most beautiful parks of London. I simply love this this park. I have been many many times and continue to enjoy returning.Lovely roses gardens, open air theater, amazing picnic areas, beautiful lake where you can enjoy paddle boats, miniature Japanese garden, beautiful " secret garden" and linden trees areas ( by the way this time of year are fully blossom and must enjoy the oarfume). It is also great for walks, running, cycling, has big playground and tennis courts. There is also a kiosk where people always dance on Latin music, restsurant, terraces and coffee place. I would say is a must especially if you like outdoor and nature. Can be quite busy ;)

I have been planning to visit Regent's park mosque since 2 years, and finally I took the time to go. One of the best things of my life is to visit this mosque. After entering, there is a big open area from this point, the dome really looks very beautiful and tower really add beauty to the mosque. After crossing through this area we enter the masjid there is food court which is down stairs, a shop where we can but islamic things like( janimaz, quran shareef, atar, and all arabic things). I've spend around 5hrs there my soul was very happy peace and fresh. I will definitely plan soon to visit again.

  • Azad Vahabzadeh

Public Toilets/Rest rooms are available.

This is a large and very diverse park offering a range of facilities for recreation. The northern part is more open parkland with less intervention in it's layout. It has wide open spaces for joggers, walkers and a large area of football pitches as well as a children's play area on the NE side. The area within the circular road towards the southern end has more formal design put into it with open air theatre, gardens, Caffè/Restaurant, Cycle hire and picnic areas. When I visited there was a wedding group there having photos taken. Then just beyond here you have many tennis courts.

  • Marcin Siwicki

This huge, clean, and relaxing park is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. You can hear the animals from the nearby zoo, and there are plenty of places to relax or to get some exercise. Whether you're looking for a place to have a picnic, go for a walk, or play a game of frisbee, this park has something for everyone.
Restrooms
There is few restrooms but not a lot.
Dog-friendliness
The park is absolutely dog friendly. Take your dog with you!
Picnic area
There is a lot of place to make a relaxing picnic.

  • Annie McDonald

Gorgeous park, felt very at peace here. Came here on a couple weekend evenings and saw a few people dancing and rehearsing dances, just a lovely place to be
Restrooms
The bathrooms were well cared for and fairly clean. A 20p fee was required to use them which was unexpected as a tourist but its small enough that I think it's a good scheme for funding the care of the bathrooms
Dog-friendliness
I saw a lot of dogs around, both and and off leash. It seems like a popular place to take them for a walk (or run)

  • Mohammed

It is a Beautiful park to have a stroll or just sit and relax in or a picnic, It was fairly busy due to sunny weather. Lots of places to see the park is very big, the boat rides are really nice but not a lot to see because the area to pedal is limited but lots of birds and ducks and few fish can be seen. Great for passing hours on warm sunny days, everywhere the eye can see the natural beauty is just stunning. It's really good to have parks in London to get away from the traffic jams and busy lifestyle.

  • Teju Br

Absolutely beautiful gardens ...loads to do with kids too. Weekends in summer has live music in the park which is just by the lake side . Has a cafe inside for a quick bite , cafe is a bit expensive. Restrooms are clean but charges 20p.
Restrooms
Charges 20pnfpr using the restroom. Could not find a changing table in the stalls which was a bit of let down. The disabled toilet was locked.
Picnic area
Lots of open spaces for picnics , can choose from next to the lake or next to beautiful flowers.

  • Catherine Ann Ababat

Regent park is a vast field, it's really beautiful and it has lots of various location that you can relax, take a stroll, picnic, have some coffee or breakfast. I went there to show my sister around. We didn't manage to tour the entire park but anywhere it's worth visiting. My favorite is the Japanese garden♥️
Restrooms
There is public toilet located near the entrance of Queens Rose garden. It's very clean and not crowded during our visit though you have to pay 20 pence via contactless card

For someone who appreciates mindfulness and is an author and podcaster on creating, experiencing and then leading with Joy (check out my podcast ‘Leading with Joy’ on Apple and Spotify), Regents Park has been a favourite since moving to London two decades ago! The English Gardens are a must for a weekend stroll or to bring your guests in town to! Nice and quite little cafe in the park. Open early with fresh pastries, sandwiches, coffee, tea etc. Then serving through lunch with beers on draft. Tables inside and outside so can enjoy the sun when it is out. Lovely park surrounding the cafe.
Restrooms
Not on site but park toilets within 2 min walk
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are welcome and have loads of dog pictures in the cafe. Water bowls provided near entrance. A lot of dogs outside at the tables.

  • Van Elle

This is a nice park, it is really big and it has toilets you can use. There is currently an exhibition at Regents Park as you can from the pictures below. It is so big that you can definitely go there on a hot day and have somewhere to sit and have a picnic with friends and family or even alone. There are restrooms you can use as well and a cafe there as well. There is also a playground for children as well. It’s just an all round nice and lovely park.

  • Rahul Ramchandani

Absolutely lovely park in Central London, reminded me of Central Park in NYC. Has multiple zones and a ton of things to do including the London Zoo. Lots of walking paths, quiet corners to relax and a couple of cafés although I’d recommend a picnic if visiting during the summer months. A few minutes walk from Baker Street station.
Restrooms
Paid service which is reasonable. The machines might not work sometimes. 4/5 on cleanliness.

  • Andrew Thomas

Beautiful large London park with plenty of open green space. Highlights include vibrant ornamental flowerbeds, an attractive Japanese garden with ornamental water cascade and eagle statue, and historic fountains. The park is well provided for, with cafés, toilets and good signposting. Easily accessed by train (Baker Street served by multiple Underground lines), and roadside parking is available on the perimeter road.

  • Citywealthmag

Great for a local walk and coffee. Don’t forget to visit the scarecrow “paddy pete” in the allotments if you walk around the inner circle on Chester road. Me and my friend rose dress him up and keep him in good condition. If you walk up the broadwalk and then go left onto the main bit and up to the right where the zoo is you can see the camels without going in. Lots of sport played in the week on the fields.

  • Simon Weiner

Regent's Park is a great park in central London. It's a great place to go especially if you are living in a flat and look forward to seeing some greenery and some fresh air. The Rose Garden in bloom is my favourite although there are loads of maintained gardens as well as open spaces. There is even an open air theatre which is a must have experience. Always looking forward to going back for more.

  • Sushmitha V

The arrival of winter heralds a change in the landscape, painting everything in hues of white and silver. Snow-covered streets and frosted trees create a picturesque panorama, turning ordinary scenes into works of art. The soft crunch of snow beneath our boots and the delicate sparkle of ice crystals under the sunlight add to the sensory delight, making every winter walk a memorable experience.

  • Tanya Abdul

A very open and spacious park where people can roam freely and go to relax or meet up with friends. Holding picnics there is very common for people and as did I have one there. A place of such beautiful nature and a well kept place, the regent park garden is a must as there’s an arrangement of bountiful of flowers and streams and waterfalls that create the most beautiful of sounds.

  • Birgir Magnússon

Love this amazing park. I walk through it on a very regular basis. The promenade. Peeking over the fence to see some of the animals in the Zoo. This time I saw the warthogs. Last time I saw the giraffes. The rose gardens. The beautiful trees. The canal running along and through the park. It's an awesome asset to central London. Cannot reccomend a walk her enough. Any time of year.

  • Minwoo Kim

Tremendous and beautiful park. It has a circular road where you can circularly ride a bike. Some buildings near the park look luxurious. In the centre of the park, it has a Japanese-style park and cherry blossom trees. Additionally, the lake can be used for sailing with boats. Very beautiful and famous during the spring season. Have an excellent time taking a break in this park!

  • Hasitha Manage

Lot of flower varieties. Nicely landscaped and maintained. It occupies 410 acres. This had been used for hunting and tenant farming before prince Regent proposed to convert this to a pleasure park in early 1800's. In addition to its large central parkland and lake providing home to bird life, it is home for many other organizations such as london zoo in the periphery.

  • S A

It is a large and very diverse park offering a wide range of recreational facilities. Nice and quiet environment even on the busiest days when the sun is shining. Regent's Park is one of the Royal Parks of London. It occupies 410 acres of high ground in north-west Inner London, administratively split between the City of Westminster and the Borough of Camden.

  • Richard Jones

This park, which contains an open air theatre is massive and beautiful and well maintained. There is a huge lake to enjoy as well. You can hire deckchairs but they are not cheap. Take your own chair. There is plenty of parking within at a reasonable rate, reasonable for London that is. Take a visit and you won't be disappointed but rather possibly awestruck

  • Ben Wiley

Lovely place to settle down and relax, perfect for picnics and you even get to see parakeets flying all over, you defiently feel like your in the countryside away other than in one of the busiest cities in the world

I could spend a whole day wandering around on this beautiful park! The lake, the ducks, squirrels and lots of other birds. I specially went to see how this park looked in Autumn! I was blown away! When I got there so early in the morning, lovely David and his team were cleaning up all the signage and boards! I got him to pose in one of my shots

  • Zubair Shehraz

Lovely park - one of London’s finest no doubt. Beautiful, peaceful environment even on busier days when the sun is out. I have spent many afternoons here and find it very calming no matter the season or weather. It’s also very well maintained and pruned, which means that you get to enjoy it in its full beauty. Hope to spend many more days here.

  • Daniel Gibson

On a morning walk with the sun shining down, not too hot, this is the most perfect place for a relaxing walk, or even a jog, or a bike ride round the inner circle. My morning walk round the park was spot on, very relaxing, and the ideal way to start my morning. I'd definitely have another walk round the park again next time I'm in London!

  • Luke

A very nice and very big park. Lots to do here for free such as rose garden and play grounds and also London zoo is here. Beware some irresponsible people here a lady walking her dog of the lease was uncontrolled and came took food from where we was sitting so be careful.

I didn’t know that a park like this exists… Congratulations to everyone who made and makes maintenance on it! The details are surprisingly and made with surgical precision. In the morning, two workers politely saluted us. In my country there are not such things… Congrats London, congrats Great Britain. Indeed great! ❤️

  • Mat Smith

I’ll spare you one of my rants here (to see one relating to this area, feel free to look up Queen Mary Rose Garden). Regent’s Park is one of the more lovely London parks, sunsets over the pond or walks under the cherry blossoms at the right time of year make for a far more enjoyable experience than some of the others.

  • Angela Saltos

Super pretty and peaceful to walk around, people are friendly and this time is the perfect time to walk around, a must visit if your coming to London and want a break from busy crowded areas!
Dog-friendliness
You see a lot of people with their dogs on leashes and some without but all were super friendly

  • Hannah Wild

Oh wow, what a lovely park! There is so much to see that you can easily, while a way a few hours, wander around this park. There's some lovely gardens which are very well maintained and lots of colour especially in summer. Lots of different paths to explore and a walk-up Primrose Hill is not to be missed!

  • Tharwat Amer

The Regent's Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Exceptionally clean and well protected. The smell of spring and flowers, the whole park is just "wow". This is a must visit especially in the spring. Look at the pictures and you will see why it is a must visit in London.

  • Nikola Kukobat

Another brilliant park in London, where you have a feeling that you're deeply in nature, not in the biggest city in Europe. Lots of space for picnics, taking a walk or just chilling in the green surroundings. During the walk you can meet squirrels and ducks wandering around :)

  • Alston Dsouza

Just been there a few days ago and the autumn season makes it just more perfect. The park is very well maintained by the staff and it's a peaceful place to go if you like to have some personal time and just sit there. Absolutely recommended to visit once if you're in London.

  • Ryan Hetherington

Beautiful park situated in the centre of London Whether going to sit with friends, a gentle stroll, a drink in the park or to take a breath by the water - this park is a great option! Sunset is beautiful across the water but sadly in summer it closes a little too early

  • Tim Husain

Stunning park right in the centre of London, one of my favourites, not too crowded. Lots of nice places like the rose garden. Very green and lush. Lots od nice plants and flowers. Places to play football. The theatre is amazing too. Easy to park for free nearby in evenings.

  • Raghuraman K S

A really nice breath of fresh air in the middle of the otherwise busy city. It was such a joy to walk through the different parts of the park and was very breathtaking to see all the tulips in bloom. Would definitely recommend the park during spring time. More

Lovely park, quite busy over the weekends. Loved the displays but me, myself... I preferred having a quieter place to walk.

The park area is dog friendly and the queen's garden area is not, even though she loved Corgi's.

I love this park with plenty to do. London Zoo is situated in the central of Regents Park. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town. Plenty of toilets are situated around the park. There is plenty of picnic areas if you bring your own food.

  • Adele Rey

Went for London Zoo lates, adults only, in the evening. There were food stalls (only tried one - bit disappointing), giant games and more. Only downside was it rained the whole time, and an evening really isn't long enough to see everything.

  • Nigel Forbes

It was a very hot date, but we had a good time. It was very busy, and many people were having picnics and having fun. One disadvantage was that the quee was very long at the coffee shop.

A very peaceful place full of various kinds of roses, they also had a free jazz performance which was a great way to spend a sunday. There are many benches and places to sit and relax.

Central park in London great for walking, running, playing sports (football & cricket) and visiting the London zoo. The outer ring road of the park is very popular with cyclists.

One of the best rose gardens in the country and a lovely place to wander in. Numerous vistas by the lake, the fountains and the formal plantings make this such a great park.

  • Big Hand

Lovely park with free live music. Perfect for picnics. The lake is pretty tranquil. Only suggestion for improvement would be a few more playgrounds for children.
