Disgraceful customer service. Lady insulted me, my young boys and a friends boy, all because I made a joke (to my children) about them charging an extra 50c for toasting the banana bread. She then accused me of being neglectful because I hadn't noticed the counter had sharp edges and I wasn’t stopping my children putting their hands on the counter. I said she needed to put a sign up to say the glass counter was chipped and it was a health and safety issue and she replied it was my responsibility to watch my children, not hers to warn about chipped glass counters! She then proceeded to verbally abuse and insult me for about 60 seconds, calling me a ‘woman’ and a bad father! I was so taken aback at her attack that, before I had received the banana bread, I asked for my money back, but she screamed at me to 'get out' (I was already on the street!) and she wasn't going to give me my banana bread. My children (4 and 7 yo) were very distressed by her outburst. She may have been having a bad day but her behaviour was inexcusable in my eyes. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

"Don't come back". Owner was rude. When I glanced at the pork roll on the counter to ensure that it was mine, she took offence (as if I was checking her work) and in an aggressive tone told me "that's what you ordered you don't need to check if it's right". She then proceeded to rattle on about how I shouldn't have ordered it if I didn't want it. I was shocked by her abrupt escalation and asked her what her purpose was in speaking to me that way, to which she replied "don't come back". I'm a local and my friends live locally too. I ordered from this shop to support my local business during the pandemic. Rest assured we will not be returning for business as per the owner's request. Please do check out the other businesses on the Pacific Highway - their service remains phenomenal during this pandemic period.

Was waiting in line, and there were one person in line in front of me when the owner asked if I was also waiting for a roll as that was the last one, so none would be left for me. No biggie, I went elsewhere to get a roll. Walked past the store again (less than 10mins would have passed by) on my way back, and they were making rolls for a whole new group of people that were in line. Not sure why they didn’t want to serve me but it definitely made me feel discriminated against. If there is an explanation for this - would happily take the review down; but based on the few similar reviews I’ve seen on here, seems like it’s an ongoing issue.

This place denied me service because I wouldn’t buy a pork roll! They sell Breads, Cakes and Pork Rolls. I asked the attendant for a plain loose long roll, she told me she didn’t have any. I told her I can see them in the basket, with the tag that says 90cents each. She then asked me if I wanted a pork roll, I said no. - a pork roll is obviously more expensive - I just want a loose roll, like is advertised, I’m not asking for anything special or out of the ordinary, I just want a loose roll. She refused and would not serve me! She started raising her voice while others were behind me, such terrible service. Would not recommend!

Poor quality and bad service. Lady at the counter says “Do you want something?” With the tone of “what are you doing in my shop”. I am a professional dressed in a suit. And that is all she says throughout the transaction. Bought a fruit slice and chucked it after one bite. Steer clear of this place.

The rolls and pies are fairly priced and have got good filling. Its a one-man show sort of shop with quick service. Good option for a quick, filling and budget lunch if you live or work within walking distance.

Very nice Banh mi in St Leonards. Their crispy pork roll is amazing! I’m also addicted to their croissants always run out of them after lunch. Friendly service. …

Great pies and cakes! The person servicing was really patient when I was choosing. The cakes, brownies and others are really yummy!!! 5 stars well deserved! Thank you

It’s a great little shop on a busy road, the Bahn Mi is good & great value if you’re looking for a quick feed. They bake their own bread and everything is fresh

Had the pork rolls a few times. Classic one is the best -- good value and pretty tasty. Don't bother with the BBQ pork as it has no flavour and is rather dry.

You'd never guess it from the street, but surprisingly good banh mi! And good value too at $7.

Amazing selection for Banh Mi, ask if there is any radish, little secret. Also best service!
