This place is disgusting. The bathrooms are god awful and smelly, they quickly wipe under the seat but not the bowl or behind the bowl. the staff is rude and blunt, there is no sense of hospitality, they give an attitude for everything we ask for. Our Grandma has no choice but to die here and they are disgusting with care. They are disorganized and tell us they're coming at one time and don't show up for another hour (to clean her, to clean the room) they promised us they'll give us the single room and tRied to move other patients in twice. They are still bringing food up to the room though the doctors have written she cannot eat. What don't you get she can't eat ? after several requests to stop the disturbance they still continue to bring the food. Do not come to this hospital if you want To be treated. You will see ER patients in the emergency room for hours bleeding, seizing, sobbing in pain yet bedrooms are available upstairs. House keeping complains about the nurses being too lazy to fill up the rooms because they don't want to walk to the other side of the halls. The nurses here are all trashy students or unprofessional/Rachet/ foreigners. They are screaming at each other hellos and making rowdy noises at 11pm the intensive care unit. I asked a nurse to stop yelling for her other nurse friend quietly out of professional purposes and she got an attitude and turned away. She didn't even look at me, she kept her back turned and she said "what room can they hear us?". Um that's not the point. They bring in loud interns with random doctors into the patients rooms for "education" but my loved one is dying? Why are you bringing a bunch of kids in here to observe like she's an exhibit? They are coming in with contaminated masks from other rooms and when asked to take them off they get attitudes, except the protocol is to take off the masks when you go into different rooms. So now our whole family is at risk for contamination because they're being lazy? Unbelievable. Also the downstairs security guard is on a power trip, we have the hospice service for our family to visit 24/7 and he gives us a hard time coming in and out. This hospital doesn't even have real amenities, just plastic entrance doors and smelly hallways. Terrible. I wish my grandma wasn't in such awful condition or we'd never have chosen this place. Not even worth walking inside.

I had both my boys at St. John 7/2019 & 4/2021 Both of my experiences was Great. But this last time it was Absolutely Amazing! Due to Covid-19 I assume it would be a horrible experience. And was really hesitant on even having a hospital birth. I went to my regular 37weeks doctors appointment. Where I was told by my Dr. Stacy (she's phenomenal may I add) that I needed to go to Labor &Delivery. Once in Labor & Delivery I was greeted by a very nice Dr. That said "I was expecting you." After being given my very first Covid test (Which wasn't So bad) I met Dr. Marshall whom would be the one to Deliver my little bundle of joy. I was the Only One in the Labor & Delivery Ward. I had Red Carpet treatment! I felt like Beyonce when she had BlueIvy. The nurses & Doctors were super kind & patient. My Sister showed up a lil later, which I'm glad she was able to have the experience. And they were very nice & welcoming to her as well. After Delivery I went to my room upstairs at this time its around 3am, Dr. Marshall came up to check on me. Which I thought was Absolutely Amazing of her, she's such a sweetheart. All the Nurses upstairs were, extremely helpful and just so nice. I honestly didn't want to go home. And that's a First for me. Ms Linda the lady that works in the Birth Certificate office was Amazing, she came in and was helping me pick out names for my lil one. (because I swore I was having a girl lol 3 boys later) Kudos to the chef at St. Johns #HospitalFoodWhere The Food was Everythingggg!!! From breakfast, Lunch & dinner was AMAZING! Those red velvet cupcakes I can still taste and its been 6weeks. From my homemade French toast in the morning. To the bake Mac & cheese with BBQ wings for lunch and the pepper steak for dinner. Finger Licking Good! I definitely have to give St. Johns 5 STARS! Now the rooms aren't All luxury, But they're Clean. But I'll take the Amazing Service & Care I've received over a luxury room any day. It wasn't a vacation getaway that I was there for. Its the bedside manners, on call help, Service & Care that won me over.

I had my baby here 8 years ago. Small, dirty rooms. Saw a discarded syringe in my hospital room on the floor. I had an emergency c-section. Before my baby was born, the nurse had asked me was I planning on breastfeeding or bottle. I immediately said breastfeed as this was what I always wanted. After my c-section, the nurses took my baby for hours and didn't return him for the longest time until I asked. Therefore I got no skin to skin time with my baby. They ended up bottle feeding him in the other room during those hours that he was taken away. They told me I needed to rest and recover but I was awake and wanted my baby the whole time. When baby was brought to me, he wouldn't latch because he had already been given the bottle. I was in the hospital for about 3-4 days. Day 1 is when I asked for a lactation consultant because baby wasn't latching and I was a first time mom, had no idea what to do. They sent the lactation consultant to my room days later about an hour before I was being discharged from the hospital. Before leaving, they said to wait because they would send someone with a wheelchair to take me downstairs to the lobby. I waited for over an hour and kept going out into the hall and asking random nurses and the lady at the desk, "When is my wheelchair coming? Today I am going home" Nobody would give me any answer. I ended up taking my baby and slowly going downstairs myself, without a wheel chair. Nobody stopped to assist me. Nobody asked where I was going as I waddled slowly down the halls with one hand holding the heavy carseat (with my baby strapped in) and the other hand on my stomach. Each step I took was painful because my wounds from my stomach being cut open were still fresh! I walked out of the hospital. Never got a wheelchair, no assistance, just alone, me and my baby. Mind you, I just had a major operation (c-section mama) and they couldn't even assist me with a wheel chair! Very bad experience indeed. I'll never forget it. The only great thing to come out of this experience was my precious baby boy!

2/12/18 - I must say that I’m dreading bringing my elderly parent to the facility tomorrow for an Ortho appointment, I’ll see how it goes and post my experience, in the past the Ortho Doctor was very good, caring and concerned, however, it seemed that the Department was always chaotic, extremely overbooked and the staff overwhelmed with the volume of people waiting for service, I really hope that this issue has been resolved and much improved since the last visit 2 yrs. ago. I'm rating this hospital a 2 based upon past experiences and hope to be able to give it a 5 at my next visit. Until tomorrow! ______________________________________________________________________ Today, 2/13/18, was my Parent Ortho appointment at the 5th Floor Orthopedic Clinic. I’m changing my initial 2 stars rating to a wonderful 5-star one! They really deserve it. Thankfully, things have improved a lot since our last visit there 2yrs ago. The environment was clean, the ladies at the 5th Fl. Registration desks were professional, courteous, respectful and personable as well as the nursing staff where your vitals are taken, there a Nursing staff member actually took time to very thoroughly explain a question I had pertaining to Blood Pressure. The wait time to see the Doctor after registration was surprisingly pretty decent, not excessive at all like in the past. The Doctor, Anthony Horvath was as usual wonderful, I really like him, he takes time to know your prior history, listen to the current complaint then advises on what course of action are available to alleviate the situation. While I was there I went down to the basement to pick up a report and again, the experience was great, the ladies I interacted with were fantastic, I was able to secure what I needed in very little time. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff that made our visit go smoothly, stress free and extremely tolerable. Keep up the good work, I came in expecting the worst and received the very best of care. Thank you, St. John’s.

Decided to come here cause I’m having a minor stroke And if u Dnt talk to them. How they want answer how they want. Refuse. Anything. Then they will do petty things like. Throw out Covid test just so I can do it again or. Make u sign an rma or watever. If u Dnt they will call security Just to have you Start all over again Literally. Iv done Covid test blood wrk same question etc.. all cause they petty in here. And will threaten u wit psych ward and that’s Just low of them. Currently here. Waiting Cause they Dnt wanna proceed with out. Another other Covid test . Even tho I literally just did it and the petty man nurse. Thru it out cause I told him I Dnt want A male nurse Also Let’s talk about How long it takes to get in a room. N close to empty hospital Wit a bunch a lazy workers take hours to clean a room an. U get there and wonder really wat took so long. Cause this is not clean. And here some pictures. The nurses can get really petty. And if they Dnt like u. It will show Meaning they won’t Help u or not as soon as they should then u have the. Guy sitting at nurse station and Who is giving I hate women vibes. Cause he charger at someone just cause she said something. And it wasn’t even to him but though it may have. And. Got in her face. Yelling. Etc…. Until another women patient stepped in and told him Off. Those purple gloves. U see are there ice packs and they also had me clean the room myself. But. Gave me these wipes. How nice right. But would be nicer if they did there own job .now its 8:54 and these two mornin shift. Nurse. Just. Made life easier. And came in wit there good personality and was very helpful didn’t have to ask them anything or bother them. So it wasn’t all bad. But I still may come back with an update Later when they discharge me

My doctors in the emergency room get a 5star. The nurses get a 1 star extremely unprofessional, not attentive rude arrogant attitudes. A lot of nasty foreign nurse who clearly think they too good to clean up urine and vomit. Running so fast to take a break without checking on me. I had extremely high fever if it wasn't for the amazing doctor who was doing his job and his lousy nurses job. The nurses where taking a test for work in front of the patients totally unprofessional. One of them came back from break and it to her 30 minutes to log in before she gave me tynelon. In order for this hospital to be at the top of their game that need to train their unprofessional staff that peoples lives matter. To have emphaty and stop chatting and being rude to the patients. I even saw one of the nurse be rude to an outside social worker. This nurse was kinda chunky with short hair with glasses. Ever time one of the Dr ask her a question she was rude. Sad to say this why people don't want to go to St John's when sick and the nurses are bringing the hospital down. They all had on lots of perfume cheap smelling. Dirty uniforms. If it wasn't for me reminding them that I sat on a bed in which I urinate on they would have placed a person on the bed. One nurse was yelling at an elderly lady who couldn't speak and being rough. Once again my Dr had to get urine samples and send them off cause nurses where doing a test. Isn't there a testing room for staff

You know it's amazing how two to four years later and they haven't changed this at all. I've been waiting here with my friend who's sick since 3:00 It's 8:30 and they're very accustomed to ignoring people. It's gotten worse. And from the looks of all the bad reviews no one is listening. 5 hours I've seen two people. Like I said before I'm convinced that if I'm going to die it's going to be in here due to negligence and complete lack of caring. I'm literally sitting in a chair. I am completely convinced that the next time I go to St John's hospital for my friend that he's going to die. I have never dealt with anything like this before this is a hospital that I legitimately believe that it does not care 1. At night time registration is accustomed to not even seeing you. 2. The Doctors are legitimate liars and don't care and honestly that's the worst part. Far Rockaway seems to be a place where hospital trash is transferred to 3. The Nurses are understaffed and lazy and spend more time talking about getting boyfriends then taking care of their patients 4. If you are sick at night time DONT COME ALONE! They treat even full suited workers like homeless ppl. They will shuffle you off to fast track and act like nothing is wrong. If you have any other option.. please seek a better hospital. The mayor needs to do something about this place.

This place has gone down hill over the years. My review is personally based off customer service from front end staff. I received a call on Sunday from my elderly dad’s neighbor that they seen him being taken to the hospital by ambulance. I called StJohns they say he was discharged. I could not reach him by phone nor was he answering his front door for the neighbors. We were nervous calling around looking for help to locate him. My sister called St. John’s again and was transferred to ER. After answering questions with who, what, when etc; they say he was discharged. She also stated we cannot get in touch with him. The female on the phone says he was discharged. This is on Sunday. We were calling hosp everything. On Monday we found out my dad was in fact taken to St Johns and then transferred to North shore Manhasset Long Island the same day he arrived. We located him at North shore and he is in their critical care unit. He had a heart attack. His heart had stopped and was restarted by EMS. The doctor there says that at Johns Hosp sent him there they had no one to contact for two days. I wish they would have called a family member since he as been there before when he was conscious and alert and gave emergency contact info. I know it’s in the computer. Also, the rep should have told us his location HIS family called. So sad.

Nursing staff was exceptional during my stay. Many younger doctors here and medical students had a very difficult time drawing blood during my 10 day hospital stay. I would recommend asking for a nurse to draw blood if needed or if you have deeper veins. They were very inexperienced. When I was in my bed resting after surgery a doctor was consulting with the patient in my room. They knew each other and started joking around. The doctor then said, "I hate operating on men, they're such fags about surgery. " I immediately left my room because I felt uncomfortable. Next a nurse who was not working with me asked me if I was married and if I had a girlfriend. When I replied no she said, "don't worry, God has a plan for all of us and will surely send you a good wife." This hospital clearly stands by a very dated and Old Testament interpretation of the bible and this influences much of the culture here. I only came here because it was the closest hospital when I was admitted after an emergency surgery. I think this hospital needs sensitivity training and cultural competency training. Not everyone that becomes a patient here follows your beliefs. I am grateful for the medical care I received but also would not recommend nor come back to this hospital because I felt like my worth as a human being was diminished because of who I am.

I recently had the privilege of being under the care of Cathy-Ann Charles. Dr. Charles is an extraordinary Doctor who has truly left an indelible impression on me. Dr. Charles demonstrated an unmatched level of expertise, professionalism, and genuine compassion. Her ability to communicate complex medical information in a manner that was easily understandable was greatly appreciated, as it empowered me to actively participate in my healthcare decisions. Dr. Charles bedside manner is truly exceptional. It is with great pleasure that I share my glowing review. The Margaret O. Carpenter Women's Health Center has the latest medical equipment to, ensuring that every aspect of my care was up-to-date and aligned with the best practices. From the moment I stepped into the office, the entire staff created a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. I want to give a special shoutout to the Reception Team, Nurse Lana, Nurse Danielle, and the Imaging Technician Gail. Their efficiency truly made a difference in my overall experience as a patient. If you are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Doctor who will prioritize your well-being, then Dr. Charles is undoubtedly the one you should entrust with your healthcare needs. Sincerely, A Random Patient!

Went to the er with extreme chest pain. They triage me and told me to lay on the gurney just outside the er. 20 minutes later they wheeled me into the er and placed me near the nurses station. 30 minutes later they asked me my name and issue while sweating profusely and still in extreme pain. During the next hour I went to the restroom at least 5 times to throw up. My sister came and startedcomplaining.A nurse then gave me 4 aspirin and medication for the nausea and proceeded to tell me I should have said something. A doctor stopped by my gurney and said I don't like the way you look and then they started to treat me. They then informed me that they were not equipped to further treat me and that I will be transferred to another hospital. When my transport arrived the emts were upset that they had not started me on nitrate. I was administered the nitrate in the ambulance and felt the effects almost immediately. When I arrived at Northwell I had to clarify that the emt started the nitrate in the ambulance because st. John's told them they started the nitrate. Thank God for Northwell Hospital for saving my life. BTW, being placed near the nurses station all I heard was laughter from the nurses and how much they hated working there. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!

My grandmother went to the ER on Saturday, she fell and the ambulance took her to St. John hospital. They told her that she broke her hip and she needs surgery. My grandmother has been in the ER since Saturday they never put her in a room. They also made her sign papers while she was highly sedated on pain medication, she had no idea she was signing papers to have surgery done on Tuesday. I want my grandmother transferred from this hospital and they are giving us a hard time. My grandmother has eaten anything for 4 days, they don't give her medication that she needs to take. There is an intern Dr. Braun, all she talks about is how they order all these expensive test for my grandmother to do and how much is costing. This hospital DOES NOT CARE FOR THE PATIENT THEY CARE FOR THE $$$ THEY GET FROM THE GOVERNMENT. This hospital is for patient who does not have any loves to help them. Because instead for you to get better you get worse. My grandmother is getting worse and they DON'T CARE AT ALL. She does not want to have surgery and they forcing her to have the surgery by not transferring out of this hospital.

next to Brookdale hospital in Brooklyn, This is the worst hospital I ever experienced in my life. The only hospital in far Rockaway after they close peninsula hospital. You're treated by student doctors. The only time you see a tenured doctor is during rounds. The West Indians staff at the ER and the clinics are the worst. Very nasty attitudes when you ask them for something they act like you're bothering them. The only good thing about this hospital is the inpatient and out patient dialysis center's Which is run by nurse director miss cymbeline, very loyal dedicated hardworking Filipinos with excellent professionalism. and great work ethics, Other than that the hospital Services stinks all the way up to the security guards. (Ignorant security staff) this hospital is famous in the rockaways, for checking in but you don't check out. (Morgue) whenever I get sick and I'm in need of medical assistance. I take a cab all the way to South Nassau, potential patients beware if you don't want to die don't go to St John's. St John's Will give you a one-way ticket to the resurrection.

I was in here last night in the ER and had issues with migraines I had never experienced before. The nurse practitioner was incompetent when the doctor told me he was going to give me torodol for my migraines and after he left the nurses said it's not necessary. I asked why was it not necessary and they stated it was because I needed a pregnancy test. Why is it not necessary to give a pregnancy test if that's medication to help my migraines? I kept asking why can't I do the pregnancy test and they stated again it's not necessary. The doctor says I need it, why are you defying what the doctor says to help his patient? The entire time all the nurses were gossiping and spending too much time on their phones. They acted like they couldn't be bothered with anything. Anytime they discussed me, they kept saying "that girl" with their heads turned away. Why can't they speak to me about my health instead of discussing it with nurses who aren't even attending me? Very unprofessional and I will not be coming back here. I should have stayed away when I saw the low ratings.

My son fell in there peds department while being examined by a doc who wasnt paying attention. All i asked for was a written apologise. Not only was i denied that by patients relations who reached the choice that no one was at fault and lied that my sons doctor was alerted when i had to be the one to tell him. So i now ended up going to speak to the department head who didnt want to speak to me. I asked for an written apology again this time they agreed and my letter said the following. I apologize that you are unhappy with the hospitals initial response to your son's fall. We are encouraging doctors, staff, and parents to be watchful to prevent this in the future. Orginally before this i was told if i was unhappy with my services there i should look for another doctor. Its not my first negative encounter with the staff members. When i was pregnant i needed insulin, the nurse in labor and deliver refuse call my doctor because she had already been reported for making fun of me for needing insulin. So she retaliated by not calling the doctor for my insulin

I was taken to St. John's emergency room in an ambulance after passing out in a doctor's office. Fainting was scary, I was feverish and quite out of it, and I'm generally afraid of hospitals. The PA, the nurses, and the doctor were absolutely amazing. They all took the time to explain what they were doing and why, and to make sure I understood what was going on. They cared a lot about my comfort, not only asking me if I was comfortable but actively doing things if they saw I might not be (helping me orient myself better/ pull myself up on the hospital bed, providing medicine to ease soreness in my throat so that I could swallow, taping the IV drip so it wasn't as easy to mess up if I moved my arm, not hesitating for a second to gently take off my shoes for an examination when I couldn't reach them on my own, and so many more examples). They were also quite nice to my parents, who were very scared after seeing me pass out. The emergency room was neat and the patients around me were treated respectfully. I honestly won't forget that team.

Came here today by ambulance for a diabetic attack that caused me to be unconscious. I was in the hospital in less than 20 minutes and then they sent me home with no medicine, no follow up, nothing. They said to follow up with my PCP. My doctor refuses to admit I have diabetes. SJH says I have type 2. My doctor refuses that diagnosis. SJH couldn't provide any resources? I find that hard to believe. I find it much easier to believes however, that they just didn't want to. This place is lazy, dirty and unwilling to help the most basic case. It's especially telling that they respond to good reviews, do not respond to poor reviews, and most importantly never make any changes to create a better environment for employees and patients alike. If the doctors liked their jobs, they would be more driven to do their jobs to the absolute best of their abilities. The hospital takes advantage of being the only hospital in Far Rockaway. That fact does not make it okay to give people below average medical care.

Amen, hospital service like back in the days. Remember when the staff cared more about the patients than the check. Arena Harris was refreshing. We felt that it was necessary to mention her by name because my husband and I were treated in the emergency room two days in a row.Me on the first day and my husband the very next day. She introduced herself and asked us if everything was ok, she showed us how to navigate around the hospital, such as directions to the Starbucks now located in the hospital. She also returned to the bedside several times to assure that we were satisfied the hospital and the services that we were given. She was warm and very polite. She went to every patients bedside to make sure that they felt the same. Truly an upgrade in patient care. Thumbs up St Johns Far Rockaway we are looking forward to your many improvements in the quality of your patients care. Let's get that name straight Miss Adena Harris exceptional care and concern, truly an asset in any emergency room care.

My daughter was hospitalized on Tuesday May 2, 2018 because she is having heart and pulmonary problems. She was discharged with a guess as her prognosis aftee running tests for days on Thursday May 4th 2018. All they did was give her a bag of inhalers and an appointment for today Monday May 7, 2018. She gets there with an appointment slip and no one knows why there isn't an appointment in the system. So what does she do now??? I say SUE since the next appointment is in July? What kind of hospital is this??? Who is in charge??? There is no one to contact!!!!! I've been calling and this is my last resort. From my message to their eyes if my daughter passes out and God forbid something happens you will know when you see the name of the hospital changed to The Davis Hospital! I've had enough of people in white coats serving the community that don't give a damn! Do not go to this hospital if it's not necessary. I don't know the nearest but it's not worth it. They are just collecting a check.

I was admitted to St John’s back in late March of 2017 with a drop left foot. They did not believe I had it, and after 6 days they transferred me to their psych ward because “other people needed the bed”. At the end of April, I was set to be transferred to a rehab clinic in Brooklyn, and it wasn’t until a long ambulance ride that I was told that they weren’t expecting me. Apparently St John’s didn’t look into my insurance and whether I could be taken there, so they sent me back to St. John’s. If I had the choice I would have gone anywhere else. I finally left in mid-May. I was in that ward for 45 days, 15 above regulation; I did not receive any physical therapy until maybe my last week because this entire time the staff didn’t believe I had a need for it, despite my complete inability to walk. Because of St. John’s transgressions, I am turned away from physical therapists because it is too late for me to be able to recover from this injury. It is now permanent, nearly 5 years later.

I brought my wife in for breathing complications. Immediately upon entering the hospital, all hands were on deck, literally. From the receptionists at the front desk, triage and up until we entered the room. All this took less than 15 minutes. I’m truly grateful to God All Mighty then the staff at St. John’s hospital for assisting my wife in a manner that only one could imagine. Thank you Dr. Choe and ALL the other members of the emergency room. Forgive me for not taking all the names to thank you all individually. I have the doctor’s name in this review because it was on the discharge papers. WOE BE TO THE INGRATES IN THE COMMUNITY THAT DARE WRITE A BAD REVIEW. Perhaps your emergency will hold out until you get the next closest hospital. It’s better to say nothing than say something distasteful. Also keep in mind the hospital isn’t a restaurant, you came there in need. Humble yourself when in need, perhaps the experience will be just as good as mines if not better.

First let me say that when you walk into this place it's almost as if you're invisible, the ER area is full of unprofessional staff I thought I was watching a episode of The wire. They was giving each other pounds and talking about their private parts and talking about other patients in the ER. It took 6hrs just to even be notice and I was there for my 2yr old. Thanks to Gel the supervisor I finally got the attention of the doctor who was amazing Dr. Choe Dong that is. You can tell he was tired and over worked and needs help in there being he was the only doctor in the whole Er. He took the time to collect his thoughts and was excellent taking care of my baby. To the supervisor Gel and Dr. Choe Dong that hospital couldn't function without you too. Keep up the good job! cause people need people like you too. I just hope that the rest of the staff can get a refresh training on how to be professional and not act as if the work place is a hangout.

I went into st John's emergency room having trouble breathing. I was extremely nervous because I have had bad experiences before but I thought maybe it would be better. The nurse was incredible I felt no matter what happen I had a great nurse . The doctor came in , order test and we never saw him for another five hours . My husband kept asking about the test but we never got results. My husband asked did he forget about us . The next time we saw him he said he will discharge me but never told the nurse or paper work. Finally frustrated the Dr came back in and ask about send prescription s over . We told him we told you my primary gave me these meds and we where here because of a emergency. If he took the the time to pop in for a minute he would remember. I had people coming in telling me how great the hospital is but once again my experience I won't be back. I gave it a chance but once again it prove to be a negative experience.

*ER experience with mother* If your ever dying or feel like it.. dont come here because they dont care. The nurses dont know how to do critical thinking skills, they put patients who dont need medical attention right away over chest pain patients. The doctors who sit in the nurses station are lazy, have a God complex, entitled, and don't help patients. There was a guy calling for a nurses help in the er and all nurses ignored him. A man had a stab womb and was bleeding out no one did anything. You will sit in the er and not have any nurse or doctor come up to you to check on you for HOURS. Its crowded patients have no rooms for privacy.. beds are in hallways. People dont know their patient assignments or get the proper paperwork done. The only people who are helpful are the pct’s and PA’s. Dont come here because you will most likely die waiting for assistance. You have better chances going to nyu or mount Sinai

I’m still waiting in the registration area as I write this. It’s been a little more then three hours and not one person has spoke to me. I’m surrounded by active covid patients, vomiting patients, and a sick woman banging on the glass trying to break it yelling at everyone. I look up and there is a patient in a robe and barefoot walking out and there is no security at the door she walked right out, a nurse was yelling security!! And there was none. Not sure if they brought her back in or she wandered into the road. I have been skipped about 4 times now with people who came in after me. I have sever headaches and dizziness and abdominal pain and I am still sitting here waiting. This is so sad. Lord please help me and this hospital. Update * 6 hours now and STILL HERE WAITING. I’m starving and thirsty please send this hospital some help! Jesus take the wheel !!

St John’s Hospital could be the best hospital because the owner is trying his best to make the place great, but the staff does not want the hospital to be advanced; the Staff in general is not receptive to change. Management does not respect nurses, they punish them instead of educating them. Nurses aid don’t feed or change the patients timely and accordingly, they hide not to perform their duties. Hats down to the owner of the hospital who is going above and beyond to make the hospital a presentable place. Staff usually work short and the supervisors and people responsible for scheduling don’t make the effort to address this problem which affect patient care. Owner, be aware that they don’t provide enough education to the staff during orientation and throughout of the year. Have an open eye on those facts so patients can have better outcome!!!

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. Just saying how unorganized and uncaring everybody in this place was. A half of handful of people was helpful. Waited 4 hours for us just to get in to the triage for a 2yr old and 6 hours just to have a doctor look at my daughter. If it wasn't for a supervisor to come over and ask us who was here to see the doctor and found out it was for a 2 yr old I believe we will still be in waiting room. And mind you the place was empty. A few people there waiting 3 to be exact. When my daughter finally seen the doctor 6 hours later he was good and helpful. But it is his job but he was nice and caring so was the supervisor. Waiting room staff was loud and joking around like if they was in someone's apt playing cards and drinking. Or chilling on the corner with friends. Very crazy to be like that in a hospital.

The list of names will go on so I'll just go down the list of departments that assisted me. Registration, phlebotomy, podiatry, anesthesiology and within those departments 2-4 people helped me. Each and every person was an absolute pleasure. They all asked me the same question but it showed me that they are big on communication. It showed me that they all needed to know the same thing in order for me to have a successful surgery. I want to thank Doctor Gordon for sending me to this hospital and being one of my Surgeons. The level of customer service at this hospital is out of this world! Even the guy who rolled my wheelchair treated me like I was family and that to me is the ultimate experience when you go to a hospital. If you're afraid of hospitals go to this one! Your fear will go away! Thank you all so very much!

Officially one of Thee worst hospitals I unfortunately had to go to. It the only one in town, so I was forced to go to this God Forsaken place because my baby was complaining of stomach aches for days. I had to beg the Er Dr. To do certain exams on her. He kept down playing her symptoms, that could have eventually killed her. I know my child,so after nagging him, he eventually ordered tests. The results came back detrimental. I went to another hospital the next day because they didn't do much there at St. John's Episcopal. They had given her a temporary fix. And the ER doctor from there didn't follow up with me like he said he would. I don't care how Dire the situation is, I will never go back there, especially when it comes to the little ones, because they have no compassion for even the vulnerable population.

This hospital er department is truly disgusting in every way. The er nurse's are horrible, rude and dress very inappropriately trying to show shape and body. I have seen woman nurse with very nice shape cover themselves up appropriately at work. These ladies working at this er wasn't going to do that. It felt like uneducated strippers were my nurse and not educated women. Overall I was treated so horrible at this hospital that I left and sought out treatment from somewhere else. I have traveled the world and can honestly say this hospital er department is the lowest of the low. The nurse's and doctors are the lowest of the low in this ER department. Clearly far rockaway residents are being treated horrible from people who promise to do no harm. I felt like I was going to die in this hospital and I had to leave.

This review is for Ms. Michelle Burchette, she's the Lead Mammography Technologist. I went there last month for a Mammogram and she was absolutely AWESOME!!! While talking, I explained my fear of Dr's, hospitals, needles etc. She took the time to make me comfortable and talked me thru the Mammogram. I've been to this hospital and I've run across a few rude nurses, especially nurses asst!!! Not all are bad but some could definitely take lessons from Michelle Burchette l would definitely go back for my Mammogram with the hope Ms. Burchette will be the one performing this service again. Keep up the great work Michelle. Honestly they should have hired you to give lessons on how to talk and treat patients, they would definitely learn alot from you. I thank you again Selena Williamson

I had never heard of nor had I ever been to this hospital, I am a fairly new resident to the Rockaways. I found a friendly and professional Podiatrist in the area named Dr. Gordon who is affiliated with St. John's therefore, my foot surgery was scheduled there. The day prior to surgery I received a call from a nice nurse with pre op instructions. I arrived at 6:30AM the day of surgery, was greeted by friendly registration staff who were professional and ready to work. Shortly after, I went straight to ambulatory care where I was again greeted by professional friendly nurses once who were ready to diligently perform their duties. Every one that I encountered at St. John' s was extremely warm and welcoming. Thank you.

In the past there have been excellent wonderful ER visits with fantastic doctors and providers but this last visit was with Dr Amy Lee MD was nothing less of a narcissist rude nasty and judgmental doctor she left me sitting in agonizing pain she lied to me saying she would order strong pain medicine then she never did even the charge nurse and my er nurse sympathized with me then dr Amy Lee discharged me with a diagnosis of "drug seeking behavior" I am currently hospitalized at another hospital due to her negligence and judgemental behavior she acted like she owened the hospital and medication not the first time she belittled me in the ER I am filing a complaint with the nys dept of professional medical conduct!

  • Krista Rahmee

I am a few years late with my review. My mom had a stroke in 2015 and if it was not for the staff at this hospital, then she might have no longer been with us. Of course, like with anything else, you must do your part and follow specific instructions given by doctors. The nurses were super friendly and made my mom's stay comfortable. The doctors had excellent bed manners and were knowledgeable. They made a diagnosis and quickly transferred her to St. Francis for further treatment. This hospital has a bad reputation, but it is unfounded with our experience. The rooms are surprisingly big and clean. Note: This was through the emergency room. I do not know how the other departments run.

  • Alisha Bryant

ST. JOHNS HOSPITAL IS THE WORST. This place needs to be shut down instead of rebuilding. They don't even deserve one star. I witness too many people dying in the hospital. They do not have updated systems. My grandmother have been I this hospital for 3 weeks for heart failure, Kidney failure and UTI. You would think she would feel better after a week. But she has gotten worse. I've been trying to transfer her to another hospital but they're giving me run arounds and numbers to call. And they're suppose to make the call. So as of right now, my grandma is dying slowly I don't discharge her myself to another hospital. I would never recommend it to anyone

  • Kevin Love

Wait time is beyond ridiculous also many of nurses or clerks are sarcastic & rude when asking questions and doctors let you speak but everything goes in 1 ear out the other . Everything here is down played when you come for a medical emergency. People in pain all over are sitting in chairs they never even have beds or stretches to give to patients instead we sit in hard chairs and suffer very unpleasant and uncomfortable. People who do blood or iv works has very little sympathy to administer it painlessly. This ER is simply a place you don’t want to be this hospital needs new management and training on how to deal with the community which they serve.

  • Rel

The emergency room was small and the wait time to see a doctor took four hours after we got there. I was very disturbed about that wait time to see the doctor because my son hand was just dripping with blood from cutting his hand at home. But once we go to the back I seen why it took so long. This ER team was doing the best they could do with a pack ER. One thing I can say about this ER Team there staff was very friendly and very professional and that won me over despite being there all night. I just want to say thank to the staff and Matthew M that worked from 7pm until the next shift on 01-13-18 through 01-14-18. Thanks guys, you guys are the best.

I recently contracted pseudomonas as a result of an injury. Prior to coming to St John I’d visited some well known hospitals throughout the city who failed to diagnose me accurately. Their Podiatry department along with wound care are God sent. They’re bed side manner and compassion meant a lot during none of the most difficult times in my life. I will continue to seek care and support this hospital. *Pros: Remodeled ED, dedicates staff who are committed to turning this place around. Cons: Inpatient floor are short staffed, sometimes find yourself waiting an hour for someone to respond to call bell. Pain is sometimes not adequately addressed.

Worst hospital i have ever seen My mom was here aweek ago she had bleeding from stool and vomiting blood Hospital did endoscopy and said they didn’t find anything in her stomach as alcer or whatever but they see there is thick vein swollen in her stomach and they dont have the equipment in this hospital and they say that they stop bleeding now so They discharge her yesterday and this morning she again bleed First place when she was bleeding first place they should had transfer her rite away Currently i m in st johns hospital. I m trying to be very clam rite now If they dont do anything asap i m like about to sue this hospital period

  • Veronica McGinley

My family member was taken to St. John's after being found unresponsive. She had been ill for some time and sadly, there was not much that could be done, but the staff at St. John's was extremely caring and supportive. They did everything possible to make her comfortable and to give us a chance to say goodbye with love and dignity. They really were exceptionally caring and professional at the same time and we knew that they would have saved her if it were possible, but the reality was that it was her time and they helped us through the process every step of the way with kindness and support. They really cared about her and about us.

  • Natasha Williams

So I have to say I was very satisfied with the overall care and compassion my father has been receiving in the emergency room when he got sick. This place stabilized my father and has went above and beyond to make sure he's in a healthy condition. I'm glad that he's in great hands and I'm glad he's starting to get better. Continue with the great work that has been provided especially toward working hard on keeping our elderly and children especially in healthy condition and getting to the source of the problem. It's a very vulnerable and critical time for my father and I want him to be healthy and live I love him very much ❣️

  • jacob Guttman

Horrible hospital, my brother was living in a facility with people who had emotional challenges. One day I went to visit. I noticed he had trouble breathing. I took him to st john Within one hour he was released and no improvement. He looked sickly. I assumed he was examined and the issue was taken care of. Being the fact the he had emotional issues I assume that the drs. Looked at him as a low value patient. The next day he went into a coma. A few days later he passed. Lesson learned , evaluate the hospital and stand your ground . I believe he would still be here if the hospital did there job. This hospital has low rating.

  • suzanne scott

Here @ the E.R room and with all this new look my husband could not get a blanket but was given a sheet to try and stay warm cause they have no blankets. Really! God forbid they go and get one from someplace else in the hospital. Now since this happened, I was contacted by someone from the hospital in ref. to my comment about 2 wks ago from today, 6/20/19. I was trill to see that someone do pay attention to what is posted about the hospital. I was told that they E.R. staff will be spoken to and also it should not have happen and it will not happen again. So thank you for contacting me in reference to this matter.

  • Malika Susino

Now I see why this hospital ain't it worse than Brookdale in brooklyn and that hospital is terrible from some of the nurses to the PAs to the rent a cops. My aunt is a charge nurse and my uncle is VP administrator for a hospital. We will be reporting the heavy blk male security who was there at 4:08am he have no respect. He stand there after the iv line was left in my arm and remind u no1 was talking to him and said so pull it out with attitude after I told the other guard to get someone to take it out before I do and bleed everywhere which did happen after the kind nurse took it out for me. We will be reporting

  • Faith

The nurse manager Ms.Martine is very cruel and malignant. I couldn’t start working past my orientation due to her personal judgment against my pink hair and my piercings. I’ve come to learn that St. john’s is very conservative and has strict policies for their employees. However, I do not appreciate being judged and discriminated. “We don’t just hire anyone off street”. “You look like you’re going to a party”. My point is that someone with bright colored hair and piercings can be the most compassionate person. While at the same time, someone unkind is held in a leader position and left to take care of others.

  • P Smith

The Doctors get a rush when they PURPOSELY take THIER time and have suffering patients wait to make themselves feel better. They ALSO REFUSE TO SHOW THIER NAMES TO You, THAT WAY, THEY DONT HAVE TO TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT. IF I WAS ORIGINALLY FROM A YIDDISH BACKGROUND, AND HAD A J E W I S H FAMILY, they would've taken WAY BETTER care of me JUST AS fast as the other J E W I S H patients that they intake..... This bigoted hospital is PATHETIC. AS AN OIF/OEF VETERAN OF THE USAF, I should never have to go wait 5 hours in the E.R. WHILE STILL BLEEDING .....DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO LIVE...SMMFH

  • James Edward

This hospital was good for learning as a medical student but that’s where the positives end. It seems like a lot of the nursing staff did not seem to care much about the patients. Furthermore, I found several of the cafeteria workers to be rude. In one instance, a black female cafeteria worker waited on the person behind me, also black, in line before me(white). When I asked her why she said that I didn’t look ready to order. She never even looked me in the eye and never greeted me and I was waiting for her to acknowledge me before ordering. The food there is trash as is the customer service.

  • Sofi Fernandez Lowe

At first it looked like it was taking a long time and they weren’t really doing anything for my daughter but I spoke to a nurse and she helped us right away. They ran her test quick after that. We still had to wait a while for results because that’s just procedure and that’s just what’s going to happen. But her nurse aid Debbah was super good and very skilled at taking blood and giving her Ivy, very nice and attentive. I live in farrockaway and usually dred coming here to the hospital. But I see they have made many improvements and changes and it is getting better so I’m grateful for that.

  • Pooja Kalia

Dr. Farhad Gazi is the worst doctor in the ER room. He will laugh at your situation and be more interested in your previous hospital visit date (only the date not what happened and make sure you get the dates right before he gets confused) rather than why your in the ER to get checked. The job of a doctor is to be respectful and kind towards his patients. Made me feel like a complete fool and I left of embarrassment from his end. Ends up that I had ulcers in my stomach and found that from another doctor. All he did was laugh and that’s all no test or blood work were done.

  • Eunice Ramirez

I am happy yet surprised to find myself giving a 5* review bc my previous experience, which happened year ago, wasn’t the best. This time with my mother being ill every staff member was kind, professional, and attentive. Not only did they treat my mom well but I witness the same respect to every patient that was being treated in ER and in the main building. This hospital has truly changed for the better; and I do recommend it for your emergency medical needs. Thanks to all the nurses, doctors, techs, and receptionist - you really make this place great.

  • Malka Beth Wendy G-F

It's a place you voluntarily send someone if they're sick & you want them dead. My husband has been there a few times, they have few good staffers but by en large are a large death trap. Last time they did a discharge plan at first that included all their people more than a month after we told them we were moving permanently. They did schedule new appointments but never cancelled the original one's made. They also gave treatment via an IV after they filed the original discharge paperwork & before they told him they'd done said paperwork.

  • Michelle Brown

Nurse Rachel and Nurse Judy (Judy who I believe is administration, but was in the ER at the time pretending to care) are AWFUL. They are condescending and stuck up. They both need to spend less money on plastic surgery and spend more time learning how not to be trashy human beings. The nurse manager Wedson is also nasty. Aside from those losers, the ER is clean and housekeeping clearly stays on top of things. The PA and MD I saw were good as well. I gave 2/5 stars because of Nurse Rachel, Judy and Wedson each get one star subtracted.

  • Moses Powell

I'm sorry that I am a year late with my review. I was admitted to St. John's Episcopal Hospital after suffering a T.I.A (mini-stroke) at home on 4/20/2017. After a previous horrible experience at this hospital I expected the worse. But I was pleasantly surprised at how much the care had improved. The nurses, doctors and staff were excellent. Even the food was delicious! I especially liked my neurologist, Dr. Eneman. My 10 day stay here was comfortable and I very much appreciated all of the various chaplains that came to visit me.

  • Lilly Griffith

Not a good hospital,, they don't have a pediatric emergency room just general which means adults and children are seen together in the same area...it's ashame this hospital has been open for more than 30yrs and there hasn't been any improvement. My niece was born here 20yrs ago and this place is still the same. This is my second time visiting the e.r because my children's regular hospital is in bklyn. Y...smh if you can travel to a further hospital I suggest you do...I believe their a level 1 trauma care hospital

  • rachel thompson

Horrible. 7 hours in the ED waiting. Was told admitting to floor. Took 2 hours and complaining to get a resident to appear. Told me two hours before get to the floor. 3 hours later still sitting there. No aides on the floor. Took asking for who is in charge for the charge nurse to appear. It’s your floor. Why aren’t they doing rounds??? Pain is a vital sign and the doctors aren’t concerned if it is not reported?? They keep saying surgery. After this type of care in the ED? ST. John can’t operate on my frog!!!!

  • Ilona Mrozowska

my Grandma got allergic food and I will be happy to show you the photo. she is allergic to lactose and got milk and butter, can't eat red meat and got red meat. they are not interested in my grandmother, they do not come to her and I have not talked to the doctor yet after almost two days. as I told the nurse's that grandmother that she had given her food to which she is 90% allergic, she only said sorry and turned and walked away. it's not a hospital it's a joke !!!!! better to die at home than here!

  • LISA

I visited the ED in September for an eye injury and I was very impressed with the level of care I received. From front desk to housekeeping to discharge all of the staff was very pleasant and professional. I work for a best practice hospital, so I am fully aware of what exceptional service and care looks like. I was very satisfied with the level of care I received. Its rather reassuring to know I no longer have to leave my community to receive exceptional care. Keep up the good work St Johns!!

  • Felicia H

This is the worst hospital I have ever been too. I brought my father in to ER and we waited for a room over 9 hrs. The nurses ate talking loudly to each other dancing watching videos and not taking care of the patients. Some nurses are acting like they never been to school. If this hosptial would train their nurses go find people who want to work.the nurses need to stop flirting with secruity and check on the patients.St. John's need to fire the whole hospital and start all over again

  • Genal Moore

This hospital is definitely not a place to send your sick love ones. The staff is very unprofessional and they can care less about your well being. This is my mom second visit within 4 days. I asked the doctor to please treat her. They gave her a steroid and sent her home. Here we are back 4 days later with the same problem. You don't see actual doctors. They have medical students caring for you. Please dont bring your elderly person here. The state needs to shut this hospital down.

  • Tyson Lawrence (Tyson's Road View)

Told me they would post blood work results from an ER Visit on Saturday. It's now Monday, no results. First I log into the portal, and cant log in. The tech support was so rude. Then, I log in, still no results. Finally after a half day I call the emergency department directly. And I'm told they dont post results on the portal I have to COME BACK to the hospital to get them. All of this after based on those results I was discharged from the hospital after fainting. Unbelievable.

  • Kay William

05/23/15. Here is my story. My mother in law died last WK in this hospital. Today my father in law is in this hospital. I brought my daughter who is almost 12 all the way from CT to see him and they would not allow her to see him not even for a few mins. I think as a parent I should be able to sign a wavier. When we got here for my mother in law it was too late and now that we got here on time we are denied. I am beyond upset and hurt with all the grief experienced today.

  • Daniel Cain

Terrible... Staff walking around talking non sense. Nurse lost my sample I waited for 7 hour for 2 Tylenol I am discussed. I was place between a conflict and some lady bleeding out her face, I’m damn near shoulder to shoulder with the other patients in the ER and they talk freely about patient, like doesn’t HIPPA mean anything. Close St Johns hospital or bring in a director the everyone afraid of cause this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at the hospital

  • Kyle M.

The hospital staff are lovely, aside from one security guard, because my recent visit involved me trying to find out where the pharmacy was and I was in the emergency departments and the staff in that area told me where to go. Got to the main building some security person was briskly walking up to tell me to leave with my scooter when I wanted to ask where was the pharmacy before leaving but he just walked briskly away after so yeah I'm in no rush to come back here.

  • Ulises Ortiz

I rarely go to hospitals, but i went in with a pain in my side. It was honestly so bad i couldn't stop moving. As soon as i went in there, they took so much good care of me. My Nurse Nancy from the ER night shift was truly and angel. She took care of me. Made sure that i was feeling better. In all this with pandemic and troubling times it is beautiful to see that there are still people that care for every single patient. Truly amazing. Thank you for everything

  • DR.WILSON IYOKHO, PhD MS CASAC-2

The hospital is not bad as many folks have reviewed here. Is it because the hospital is located in the Blacks, Hispanics, and Jewish neighborhood? Please, give me a break! The hospital is very clean, neat, and the staffs are very friendly, and professional in their delivery of services. You could get same treatment from there as you would get from NYU or Cornell or from any other reputable hospitals in New York City. Please, stop the condemnation

  • Katsiaryna Miatselitsa

Love this place. Thank you so much for taking x-rays for my mother. She went there on her own without knowing a word in English. They gave her all of the paperwork in Russian, found an interpreter, located a referring doctor. She was seen right away. It was not her first visit. She was in ER before and got great care. I gave birth in this hospital and was thrilled with the care and love received from the hospital staff. THANK YOU.

  • Devindra Rupram

Very poor service once you are on the floor. The are rarely nurses on the floor. The pump will keep beeping for 2 hours and you press the call button and yet nobody will attend to you. Doctors are even looking for nurses and can’t find them. When you ask one for help they saying that’s not their patient , that they have other patients. I am very shock I don’t know what else to say about this place. It’s actually a shock!!!

  • Rebecca Lopez

Dr. Genack was very unprofessional, I could not ask any questions cause if I did he would yell at me. His nurse also was giving dirty looks and rolling her eyes. People go to the doctors for help not to feel like they are being judged or yelled at like a child.I will never go back to him again. I would suggest people find another Ear, eyes and throat specialist unless you want to be treated like dirt.

  • Patricia L.

I give 5 stars for the staff from the moment I entered the bldg until I left. It was my darkest hour and everyone right up to the nurses were there for me and it means so much bcz I trusted them. Thank you all As for the decision to release my loved one from the CCU straight home? ...he would have most likely signed himself out anyway so I understand now. Again ty to all.... I'll never forget!

  • Michael L. Rayner

17 years later this year, my mom passed away in this hospital in 2006. It's sad, because I felt negligence on their part to save my mom's life and she would probably still be here today. the doctors here didn't care, and my stepfather was devastated and to hear that the doctors couldn't bring her back after reviving her? it's sickening. I wouldn't recommend this hospital for anyone. Hell no!!

  • Harold Kramer

I know that this hospital has got many negative reviews and its not highly rated but I have to say this. I suffered a minor heart attack and the EMS brought me here because I live in Rockaway The level of service was 1st class. The staff were attentive and kind. They kept me alive and stabilized my condition until I could be transferred to Mt Sinai in Manhattan for an angioplasty procedures.

  • Myasia

If I could give 0 stars I would. THE WORST HOSPITAL EVERRRRR!!!! They DO NOT communicate with patients or patients families. The nurses are VERY RUDE, they act as if they hate their job. You would think with covid cases still being high they would do a better job at keeping it clean, but NO maintenance is just as HORRIBLE. I would rather have NO hospital in Far Rockaway than this one!!!!

  • Serenity Prayer

Is this a hospital or a circus? I asked to speak with the Chief of Staff and I was given the shaft. I will however file a formal complaint. This hospital needs to be shut down! Peoples lives are at stake. They don't even feed the patients let alone they don't manage their patients very well, the couldn't locate my dad. CDC, MAYORS OFFICE AND EVERYONE WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS ONE!

  • Cosita Linda

Nurses never know anything, they work slower when they have less patients, my mom was there from 10pm and they didn’t even give food for breakfast, 3:30 took blood and said was coming back within a hr no one went to her room to check even with all the coughing to see how she’s doing and it’s 11am! Went in with extreme high blood pressure and chest pains ! This is ridiculous!

  • julisa abraham

My daughter was in L&D for a few hours on Saturday 7/15/23. The hospital‘s new look is very nice but the service is even better. All the staff from the greeter to doctors were all great!! Kudos to all the nurses in L&D!! Nurse Melissa thank you for being a great nurse. You were born to do this!! Thank you all God bless you …

  • Kassidy Hicks

Worst hospital on the planet. Why are the still open? They gave me a c-section and never documented the description of the incision according to my new Obstetrician. Staff is ghetto. They talk so loud in the hallway that they don’t hear you scream nor see the call bell. Some of the staff are smoking outside. Like why are you in healthcare?

  • Lindani Setal

Doctor Raghid is a Excellent doctor..she guided me through my pregnancy & she delivered my child at StJohn Hospital. Did everything I wanted without me providing a birth plan.. ie: skin to skin contact with my baby right after birth. Although the hospital needs a little upgrade on the structure the Staff was great and tended to our needs.

  • Rikki F.

Dr Frank with the bald head, is the worst person! He has no heart for a little 3 year old making the kid wait from since early morning till 2:50pm for just documents and refuses to just speak to ACS on a matter. Don't be this nasty man, God don't like ugly. What you put out in life is get back in life! I told you the kid is hungry!

  • Isaac Alvarado

These hospital doesn’t deserve a one star. WORST HOSPITAL I EVER BEEN TO. IF YOU LIVE NEAR THE FIVE TOWN RUNAWAY FROM HERE. DOCTOR DONT EXIST HERE. Lady next to me they took forever to attend her and she peed on the floor. They didn’t let me transfer hospital so I sign out. My wife sickness spread more because of there fault.

  • Cyrus Kuria

I had an injury. I was seen in the ER within 1 hour, X-Rays were taken, MRI taken, and diagnosis was made. Referral was made, leading to proper treatment and complete recovery. I know that most people who get positive experience don’t post, but people with negative experiences are quick to post. So I give St. John’s 5 stars!

  • Jennifer Wilson

Please shut this hospital down. The workers are rude and do not care about patients, long wait times for little to no treatment. The emergency room is disgusting absolutely no privacy when a doctor comes to speak to you. On top of that there is no trauma unit which is unbelievable! Please go to another hospital if possible.

  • Doug C

I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews . Took my wife to ER was seen within 10 min , staff was excellent, attentive and caring, the doctors were on point and the medical treatment was excellent and thorough both in we and in patient. Do t believe the negative comment d, come see for your self.

  • Micksberrys (Berrymicks)

Mom (who's uninsured) went to the emergency room for high blood pressure, and she was supposedly prescribed meds but couldn't even get her hands on because they gave her false information about when/where to pick up. Now they have the nerve to charge a medical bill on her visit, when she was neglected!

  • Thess Babin

A very big Thank You to all the staff upstairs 2nd Floor delivery Room, everyone was absolutely wonderful especially the nurses.A Wonderful Thank you to Nicole who went above and beyond for us may god continue protect each and everyone of you. Thank you once again. …

  • Bernice

I was in the fast track and still was there for nearly 5 hours. It was a ridiculous wait and like 5 patients waiting to be seen. Originally wanted to go to their urgent care but was told that patient care express was closed on Saturdays but on the website and a flyer says otherwise.

  • Juan Blanco

Someone stole my mothers favorite shirt than sent meds to a pharmacy. We call the pharmacy the next day only to hear that they never received the prescription. Than the nurse got all sassy taking my mothers discharge papers. But their vending machine was pretty cool.

  • Alexander Prokopets

I called to make appointment for CT and Dexa scan. First person put me on hold and hang up on me. When I called second time the person put me on hold again and never got back to me. No wonder people in my appt. building not recommend (strongly) this hospital. Shame!

  • Lisa Wolk

The wound care department took excellent care of me, and unlike 2 other places I had been to, they were able to get the weeping sores on my leg to heal up. Everyone in the department went out of their way to to take good care of me. Thank you for everything you do.

  • Kemisha Isaac

I came into the Er with an issue with my eye. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The nurses did everything to make me feel comfortable and the Dr. explained every step of the procedure. St. John’s has definitely taken a turn for the better.

  • Jen R

A double edged sword with doctors like some are nice and some arnt but they saved my life and my baby. There's a lot I can say about the stink smell of the bathrooms on the first floor although I have seen massive good change that I like in

My experience was not so good. I had a seizure at a Ihop restaurant and was brought to the hospital by ambulance. When I have a seizure, my eyesight and hearing is extremely senzitive. Also there is the posibility of having another seizure.

They put people who have immune Disorders with people have have active covid. Now I have to Be worried to go home to my family? They ignore you so you walk out without being seen. I'll die next time instead of coming here.

Don’t ever come to this hospital. Zero time management from Doctors. Dr.Suraj graduated med school but didn’t learn time management. Miscommunication in the medical field is unacceptable. That is a fatal flaw.
