Lorena is sweet, she did my hair a bit over two months ago it was truly a good experience. However during that visit I made a hair and makeup appointment for a wedding I am to attend end of this week. End of October she informs me she needs a 75 dollar deposit for the appointment. To me it seemed like an afterthought on her part. I would have paid the deposit in person when I was there before if it was needed to hold the date. She stated in text I needed my deposit paid on November 1st which I tried a couple days before and on Halloween and she did not answer or return my calls after leaving a voice message , I even textEd her on Halloween after my kid tried to contact her with no answer as well. Late on Halloween she give me her cash app handle an app handle and I paid the deposit on November 1 three hours later she informs me she already booked my time slot for November 23rd. This was a pretty important appointment for me and if a deposit was needed it should have been stated when I booked the appointment in person. Getting to hermitage is not easy for me since I live in smyrna. I wasn’t going to leave a review I am a small business owner and thought nah I will brush it off. But her booking out my appointment has caused some troubles as to this day three days before I have not found a good hairdresser with open appointments as they are booked up many weeks in advance. So I pretty upset I going to have to use hair five o or something like great clips. I am very disappointed. It’s important for us small business owners to be upfront with customers and honest. Especially when customers live a distance away from that establishment. If you require deposit for an appointment telling them when making that appointment needs to be done on the spot. Not as an after thought. It’s a shame to because I really liked her but she fouled up an important appointment so I cannot trust her with important appointments in the future.

We love Lenora at Steel Magnolias salon! She is the only person my daughters and I will let cut and color our hair. She is fantastic with color and patient with blowing out naturally curly hair. My girls and I have been blessed with naturally curly hair and Lenora always gets our cuts perfect and gives the best advice. She is the reason we are comfortable wearing our hair straight or curly.
