Went in on a Sunday 10/1 to pick up shoes for a wedding next week and this is probably the worst Steve Madden location I’ve ever visited which is sad with the amazing location they have. Two employee’s (African American female w/ glasses was talking extremely loud and had headphones in the so I’m assuming she was on the phone and it definitely was not professional at all and a male w/beard was strongly focused on his cell phone behind the register) there were two other females who were very attentive to customers (a red-head female and a short Hispanic mix looking female) they were working and seemed very professional with what they were doing. Thankfully. Higher ups definitely need to overhaul some staff as that is just poor customer service in every manner to leave just two employees to help large groups of people and have a lot of people just walk out because of not getting any service at all. African American female and male need to be replaced as soon as possible if that is what they have to offer in the customer service industry. I will not be returning to this location and will take my business somewhere that they care about paying customers. Hope this reaches the right people in there right places and they make some serious changes.

Me and my wife went shopping with our kids here. Right when we walked in the store the welcoming vibe was horrible. Not a “welcome we will be right with you” there was only 2 people in the store & me and my family . There was a Angie & Caitlin. Angie being the manager wast the worst. Very rude, shady, acted like she was better than the customer. All her attention was on one customer while Caitlin was up and down doing everything. I asked her for help and she snapped back and said “you will have to wait for Caitlin” I was Appalled how she responded to a customer. How can you have someone so rude run this store. It was not busy at all!!! My wife has worked in customer service sales and not once have I been greeted like this. Angie should be taken a looked at. Her customer service skills are disgusting. Steve Madden being a well known store I thought I would have gotten better customer service but first time here & it was horrible!!! Angie should not be a Manager. Please demote this lady if you want a good reputation And we still bought purchased a pair of shoes without her help! She is very lucky my wife didn’t snap back at this rude lady!!!

My experience with Steve Madden at North Star was beyond horrendous. I tried to exchange a shoe I had tried on slightly at home to get a bigger size. Angie took over my transaction from another employee (who was very sweet) and continued to harass me about how dirty the bottom of the shoe was. Mind you, the shoe had been tried on and had minimal dust on the bottom. I did not want a return, i just wanted a different size and I was not going to walk away with a $100 shoe that did not fit quite right. She got her assistant manager who spoke to me very calmly and respectfully while Angie stood beside me with a look of disgust. She is a poor excuse for a manager and after all the business i have given Steve Madden in the last 5 years this was the WORST encounter I've ever had with an employee. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location. That manager needs serious training in customer service. Her behavior was ridiculous and disrespectful. Will be contacting corporate and hope she does not treat another customer like this again.

My partner and I recently stopped in looking for some new shoes. At first we had to wait to get in but totally respect the capacity rules. Everyone was fun and friendly. But what we thought was fantastic and needed mentioning was that when the Mgr heard we were looking for size 11, she immediately told us to wait for her while she goes to the back. After a few mins she comes out with a stock of choices all in women’s size 11. We were in shoe heaven! She kept bring out choices and mentioned that she keeps size 11’s in a special spot above her desk. We walked out with several shoes and most were even clearance! We will be back and let our friends know they have women’s size 11!

Was given a very difficult time about shoes my daughter got me for Christmas boots that were a size 7 when I wear a size 8. She had a gift receipt and was told I could exchange for a different size or buy something more expensive. I can’t squeeze my foot into a size 7 boot for the life of me all I did was try them on and they didn’t fit. They made it seem like I wore them all around town and basically called me a liar. They finally said they would exchange my shoes for a bigger size but didn’t give me the box as if I do this for a living go around exchanging shoes cause it’s super fun. The store manager called me “honey” and not in a nice way.

Venus is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! she truly gave me such an amazing experience and went out if her way to find what style i needed and what shoe care items i needed, you can tell when someone is truly enthusiastic and she is a great representation of that, she tells me about how hard shes been working and honestly i wouldn’t be surprised if she becomes head manager of the store! her professionalism is top tier! she truly deserves recognition and will be coming back to her if i need shoes! everyone must go see miss Venus for the best shoe shopping experience ✨

This shoe store is always clean and the associates are very helpful. Just make sure to hold on to your receipt at all costs. Even when you get these shoes as a gift, OR if the person who got the shoes cannot find the receipt. No matter what the situation...get that receipt. Because without it, not even a simple exchange for the same shoe in a different size will be possible. Then you'll be stuck with shoes that don't even fit. But this is a great place to shop though.

I love their shoes! I honestly got my first pair at the flea market but ever since then i was in love with their look and feel. They go with almost everything you wear, casual or business casual! The staff is pretty aloof in a good way from when i visited but i think it just adds to the charm

Came to do an exchange, the associates who helped me were so friendly and provided great customer service. Will be returning soon!
