One of the worst experiences I have had. Everything started out great until they asked if they could move my stuff from my storage unit to the one next door in return for one month of rent. I agreed to this and called back a week later to see if anything was damaged during the move. They told me that they did not end up moving my stuff and I would not get a free months rent. Later when I returned to my storage unit I found out this was not the case. They moved half of my stuff to the next door storage unit and worked on my original storage unit without removing everything. Doing this they caused me over $500 in damages. I requested that I get my one months free rent that they promised and they finally agreed after 5 or so calls to remind them to credit me. After this due to buying the nicest insurance they offer I tried to get compensated for what they damaged. After about 10 phone calls I realized that they would not honor insurance and how shady of a company they are. I would not recommend anyone using this company. They have horrible customer service, a horrible manager and horrible company policies. The pictures show how they installed a box on the wall and destroyed my stuff.

If you are looking for inexpensive storage this is no longer the place thanks to new management. I've been at this location for 2 years and it has been great. It was actually affordable storage. The facility is bare bones and basic, no frills whatsoever, and by that I mean cement floor and shoddy door with cobwebs everywhere. This was fine for me, thanks to the price. Then, about a month ago, some new management has come in and nearly doubled all the rates. No courtesy for long time customers, just a "by the way, your rates are significantly increasing so pay it or move your stuff out." Needless to say, I'm moving out. A 5 foot by 6 foot by 8 foot is now 80 dollars to give you a frame of reference, which is about the size of a small closet. My advice would be to shop around. If you are willing to pay what these guys are asking I bet you can find a much nicer facility.

I returned a moving truck to San Pedro, CA location. After about a week, I realized I had left some important paperwork in the vehicle. I called and spoke with Nancy who informed me that they had already cleaned the truck but her team remembered the paperwork I was talking about. Nancy assured me they would do everything they could to recover the documents. She called me about 30 min later to inform me her team had jumped into the dumpster, but had found the documentation. She sent me pictures as well as mailed me the documents. Nancy and her team are top notch customer service. If you are looking for Storage, a Penske rental, or any other services offered, you would be a fool to not choose Uptown Storage.

So far, this has been a great place - especially with Jennifer. I had concerns in the beginning because one of my units had an opening in the side wall to the unit next to me. Before I put anything in it I showed it to Jennifer and expressed my concerns of the neighbor being able to squeeze through the opening as well as other weak openings. Jennifer got their guy to work on it. I was not happy with 1-3 screws being put in to hold the one opening together and poor quality. Jennifer got right on top of it and made sure everything was good and taken care of. Jennifer has been AWESOME! And I'm happy with the extra security precautions and equipment that this facility is adding and taking as well. Thank you.

I’d like to give a shout out to the folks here at Uptown Security Storage. I’ve been a tenant there for at least 3 years I believe. The office team, ***Nancy, Liz and Diana,*** have been great to work with me and are always attentive and friendly. I feel secure with the facilities and video surveillance. I appreciate the Manager who first welcomed me as well. The location is convenient and easy to access! Thank you also for last summer when I needed an extra space for just a few short months. You were accommodating and it really helped. I recommend your service with 5 stars! ;)

I was really in a pinch for space when I was moving into a new place with my girlfriend. I was looking into storage units up until moving day and found Uptown Security Storage. When I went in I met Diana and she was an absolute joy and really helped me feel like I was a priority. When I needed help with my unit, Liz and Diana would always step up with the upmost sense of urgency. I’m really grateful for their care and support at every corner. If you want to feel secure about your storage, there’s really only one place to go! Thank you so much for the peace of mind :)

Was great under old ownership. New owners immediately raised rents by 70% and more. Have outright lied to me on multiply occasions. Are automatically deducting rent against my request. And they are deducting before my pension check arrives causing many problems. I vacated my unit and they still took out a month's rent after telling me they had stopped payment. Which I have not been able to recover yet and may not be able to unless I sue them in small claims court. I despise liars and cheats.

I live in a small condo around the corner and found this place to be the perfect solution for me when I ended up having to much equipment and stuff for my business and it wouldn't all fit in my condo. Jennifer and Nancy have been very helpful and they are always pleasant and professional. They've made the whole process easy for me and always did it with a smile. The facilities are clean and have good access hours. I definitely recommend Uptown!

Jennifer has been so awesome. She's gone above and beyond to help us during an emergency situation. Give that girl a raise! The location is clean, decent lighting, other renters are friendly and helpful, all of them. I'd definitely use this facility again. Cant think of anything negative about it none are perfect but they're active at keeping the place up plus they have a moving van that was free. Can't beat that with a stick.

I’ve used storage units for my business in downtown Salt Lake City for the last 9 years and the best place I’ve found is Uptown Storage on 600 West between 4th and 5th South. The place is clean, lit up, with good security and close to downtown. Customer service is great there, especially the two sister ladies Diana and Liz! I recommend it to anyone who has interests in storing close to downtown Salt Lake City.

I called 15 mins before they were about to close on a Sunday early. But Jennifer who was working that day offered to wait 30 for me to get there. I had a trailer rented and had she not waited would have to have paid another day for it. After a long hard trip moving back from California. It was nice to have something easy! Jennifer did that! Thanks for being one less headache that day!

I’ve been a customer of this facility for over 5 years. Have gone through quite a bit of different managers and owners during my stay. You’ll find there’s no convenient place near downtown as well as secured. I’m glad to say now there is no better manager and employee for this facility than Nancy. She’s truly a gem and probably to only reason I’m staying with Uptown Security Storage.

I've been using Uptown Storage for 20 plus years off and on. Today I went in to update some things on my account and Diana and Liz were more than helpful and friendly. In all my time using this place I've never had a break in to my unit. Even one time I forgot to put locks back on and they called me that night and put a temporary lock on till I could get there the next day.

This was my first time using a storage unit and couldn't be happier with my choice of Storage Corner. I needed a place to store my car and their units were the right size but also laid out with plenty of room to easily maneuver and drive right into. Diana was great helping me check in and Nancy was wonderful with helping during my check out!

Emily was amazing! And that is an understatement. I was able to book an amazing unit at a promotional price past business hours and she got it done for me in less than 10 minutes. I am so happy and recommend this to anybody. I live in downtown Salt Lake City in this works out perfect. Again, thank you so much, Emily, you are awesome.

I was not looking forward to getting a storage unit but I have to say I am very very impressed with Uptown Storage. It is very clean and well kept. The staff is extremely helpful. It’s also a major plus that they have the truck rental at the same location. I dealt with Jennifer myself who again was extremely helpful and nice.

Had a Penske truck & trailer reserved for a Sunday morning. Two Mover crews, hotel reservations & a 2500 mile drive all hinging on this reservation. I showed up, no truck, no trailer, no call. I was angry/ panicked. They got me a truck and a dolly. I had to drive to Sandy but they made it right. My mist sincere thanks.

I’ve rented from here for many years they constantly raise the rent - what started at 120 month is now 196 per month and as far as I can tell the place is exactly the same -they make no improvements- you can get through the gate very simply - I’ve seen it done… where is the justification for all the rent increases?

Nancy was very kind and resourceful! I had a great experience renting a unit sometime ago during a difficult time for my family. Friendly staff and management, made it really easy for us to check in, and to check out when time was appropriate. If I ever need a storage again I would come back in a heartbeat.

I love this place! - the location is great! Dianna is especially awesome in understanding I can sometimes forget my gate pass code and or my key to the unit. Whoops also I love the are understanding that sometimes I don’t always make my payment on the first. But the are real people I can talk to

I had a unit here for almost a year. I never had any problems, the people that work there are very friendly and helpful and they didn't require advanced notice to close out my unit (which was great, because I'd forgotten to tell them until the day I was moving my stuff out). I highly recommend.

I showed up towards closing time, and Liz was still incredibly helpful getting me into the perfect unit for my belongings! The manner was very timely as well, and great information was received for my first storage unit experience. Thanks Liz, Diana, and the rest of the team for all the help!

We rented a Penske truck and assumed the closest rental return would have parking for the truck. There is none. Park it in the street next to the homeless encampment. "You should be okay parking it across the street for an hour." Use the West Valley Penske depot. They have their act together.

I would not even give them 1star to be honest with you. I went in to rent a unit and i get told that there are none available. But there signs say they do and online it says they do. But not for me is that because I am homeless. They racial profile people as they come in.

The staff was great. We just moved here and we needed emergency storage for some of our belongings. Not only was I able to get the size I want the day of, I got it at a convenient price. The staff member was also friendly. I feel that my belongings will be safe here.

I have rented a locker at Uptown for years and have always enjoyed friendly, good service. I just experienced losing my key, and Mariah was very helpful in dealing with my problem and getting me access to my locker again.
