I wouldn't normally critique a Subway but this location is quite exceptional. You are greeted as soon as you enter the store. The store is clean and modern with usb plugs in the walls behind seats. We asked which was the freshest bread and the manager, instead of giving the expected answer "they're all fresh!", actually tested each type and declared the wheat to be the freshest. I had the chicken teriyaki and my wife had the club. Both were great. Fresh ingredients and meticulously put together. I have to remark on the music which is normally loud and obnoxious in such places, urging me to gulp the food down and exit, but this time it was middle of the road in taste and just loud enough so that you could actually have a conversation without raising you voice. The toilets were hygienic and maintained. All in all, a satisfying experience that will, without doubt, bring us back.

Not the one to complain often, but I just had the worst experience at this location. Pulled up at the drive through at 9:05 pm and there were 3 cars ahead of me. Waited in line for about 10 minutes when a lady came out and said, "there were cones there we're closed" and just put 2 orange cones between the car in front of me and mine. I tried to talk to her and she just went inside. I backed out of the lane and went to the entrance to see the hours of operation. There was a white paper covering the sign that says " closing at 9 today". The open neon sign was still on though, but the doors were locked. As I was driving away I saw the car that was in front of me backing out as well. So that person also waited in line for at least 10-15 minutes before they were turned away, even though the employee put the cones behind their car after they have been in line already. This would not be so upsetting had those cones been posted up in a timely manner and clearly blocking the drive through lane letting people know the store was closed instead of making us wait and waste our time. Also, the way the employee went about the whole thing was just plain rude.

What a weird experience. I walked in to some sort of customer issue. The person I'm assuming was the manager seemed pretty upset. The customer ended up leaving without their food. She then disappeared to "the back". I don't know what happened but she raved about it (loud enough for everyone to hear) for about 5 minutes. The poor guy left in front obviously had no idea what to do. Hr definitely needed training. He took the order. Then he seemed lost. When the "manager" finally appeared, she was awful! She said things like "this is completely wrong" and "no wonder my store is a mess". It was horribly uncomfortable. She continued to be unpleasant to the poor kid. She didn't even acknowledge I existed. By then I just wanted to get away. I took a picture of the specific store specials. She then freaked about me violating her privacy. ALL my sandwiches were a mess. This place needs some serious help. Find a different store...

Was debating just a drink or combo or maybe mcdonalds but i wanted fresh.before I could make that decision I needed to use the restroom, but my decision was made for me by your employee saying was I buying I answered yes..then I was asked what I would be buying..then I was told well as long I bought all was good but mind you , I haven't even made it even past 5 steps or past your chip aisle, I couldn't even look at the menu lol ...I actually don't frequent the place at all,last time I was there was month to 2 weeks ago..even then I bought stuff..I know it's the homeless that cause these problems but not even at my job do I tell a customer what was told to me unless that said customers has been problem and has been warned.i don't even go there maybe once a month or 2 months literally ..all great experiences before no doubt, but tell ol he/she to chill let me maybe look at the menu first ease up on the T injections it may be the root of your extra aggression.

These kids are absolutely unprofessional. This is why you should not have children acting as adults. They couldn't even handle being an adult when it comes to dealing with costumers. No manager on site, not even an acting manager. When asked to speak to one, they had excuses after excuses. After asking for the employees name and last name so i can make sure when i actually do speak with a supervisor (i would hope it will be an adult) i can inform her/him of the employee who had no phone etiquette. Trying to find out who the main person in charge was no point. After trying to get my point across, the child on the other end of the call hung up. I tried to call back, but it went to voice mail after several rings. Again, children should not be left alone to handle adult responsibilities. Do not waste your time going to this place. Keep driving, and find a better place to eat. NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!

This location is trash. The staff is rude and slow. Today was my last attempt to do business at this location. I went through the drive-thru today about 700pm. There was no-one in front of or behind me in line. I was asked to wait to say my order and sat in silence for 5 minutes. Once I started to finally say my order I was asked to repeat my first sandwich order not once, not twice, but FOUR times. I didn't even get to say the other 3 sandwiches i was there for because the girls on the other end were giggling at me having to repeat myself even though by the 4th attempt I was near yelling. I drove off and went to the nearby Bitters location where the gentlemen there were very kind and had great customer service skills. I'll be driving the extra miles to avoid the Thousand Oaks location at all costs.

My rating is based primarily on this experience. I don't usually do subway because there are better options but I decided to do something different. I ordered it online and got the message that it would be ready by 6:30. Got there just after the time and they hadn't made the sandwich yet. After waiting around over ten minutes I finally approached the counter and the girl asked if she could help me. After some explaining she found one of my sandwiches but there second was being held up because they'd run out of meatballs. She went to the back to make more and never said anything to me. A quick explanation of what was going on would've sufficed. I waited over 20 minutes, other food I'd picked up got cold and I had my son waiting in the car.

the lightskin girl with curly hair working the night shift is just a terrible worker . personally as a business owner myself i would not have her in the front talking to customers . she is just so rude and her attitude is terrible super bad energy overall it’s like she doesn’t even feel like taking care of the customer. i got a ppizza and a ham and cheese footlong and she put them in the toaster for 30 seconds and all of my food was still raw like seriously i even told her to put the pizza back in for longer and it was still RAW you can tell by just looking at it. Everything overall just bad service from her and the other black young lady.

Clean restaurant. Their attention to food safety was my first tell that they were professional. Very friendly and expedient. This was by far the cleanest and most squared away subway I have been to. Excellent job guys. Can't wait to visit again. Ty for a great experience and I am looking forward to seeing you again. Highly recommend this location.

Went there yesterday to order a sandwich and 2 very young girls were working. Super slow, place was FILTHY DIRTY, a homeless man came in and his poor puppy urinated all over the floor whilst the young girls watched and laughed. The homeless man wiped up the urine with napkins then proceeded to get his poor animals dog bowl and fill it with ice/ water from the drink/ice dispenser with urine soaked hands. I was already grossed out with how FILTHY DIRTY and FLY RIDDEN the place was and that was the cherry on top. THEY DIDN'T EVEN MOP THE FLOOR. Will never go back there again. Asst.manager Liz had very FILTHY attitude also.

I ordered the Turkey Bacon Guacamole Footlong and two more subs with the the promotion of "Buy 2 footlong and get 1 free". When I got home and took a bite, I noticed that the sub didn't have guacamole nor bacon. We called the store and they said they were out of guacamole. They could have said that before making the sandwich, while I was waiting in line for the drive through plus they charged the full amount of the sub; $9.59. We are regular customers. We like the drive-thru. They have a lot of good qualities. I hope this won't happen again because we truly enjoy going there. Healthy choices for a fast paced life.

This is for everyone who complains about the drive thru it is often closed because we are short staffed and sometimes it takes longer to get you your food because when theres a line inside we have the get them and also get the people in the drive thru. We need at least 4 people here to run a drive thru we need people on line to serve customers and someone to be at the drive thru so stop complaining. Its not up to us to open the drive thru its up to our manager and if we arent short staffed.

To the manager & owner: If I place an order online and you don’t have the product that I ordered, do not prepare my sandwich with a different ingredient and just let me know on my receipt, hoping I wouldn’t notice until I got home. If this is not your policy and rather your lazy employee not wanting to make any more food after 9pm ( a whole 90min before your store closes), then train your employees better, or hire smarter ones.

I purchased two sandwiches through the app. Drove to the store and picked up my order. Drove home and sat down to enjoy the sandwiches and found the bread was not what I ordered. Drove back to the store and spoke with the manager. She told me that they were out of the bread I requested and substituted another without my knowledge. They should have let me know before I made two trips to the store for nothing. The manager just kept smiling at me and said they do that all the time when they are out of a certain product. Very poor experience!

I have been having a problem of being charged a 2 dollar difference for the same sandwich. I finally found out they charge $1.80 if you ask for the cheese I get. Which is fine because it is what I want, but I wish they would tell customers . I also have a problem with a young man who works there in the afternoon. Although I won't say he is rude, I will say he is abrupt and lacks people skills. All of the other workers are courteous, helpful, and friendly.

Unfortunately the woman behind the counter didnt have her name tag on but she was rude and very pushy, not only to me but the other guests in line as well. I don't know if she was having a bad day but definitely choose your employees better, I've never had a single issue at the old location in the little mall but they just moved locations. Overall 3/10 because of her attitude, would walk out next time if she was serving. The only distinguishing thing was her lip ring/implant and forearm tattoos

This is the worst subway I have ever been to not only are they rude they close an hour early from what the sign says and the bread was hard after it was toasted that says a lot I would not recommend anyone to go there. The sad part was the one that was the most unhappy and rude and disrespectful was the manager I don't know if they're with River subs but I know they are not pleasant even if they were to give food away I will not recommend anyone to go there

I have been going to the drive-through at this location every week for over a year. I am elderly and the drive-through keeps me from having to get out of the car. The service has always been slow but that’s not my problem. My last visit I encountered a young wet behind the ears girl who thinks that customers don’t have the right to talk. I’m not going to be intimidated by teenage girl. Read the yelp reviews they are 90% negative. This place needs new management.

I thought going through Subway drive thru would be a good idea for lunch, NOPE! I ordered a Salad, the employee asked what veggies I wanted, I said “lettuce of course” then proceeded to add other toppings. I get my salad with NO LETTUCE!! When I got back to work opened my lunch and called Subway to ask, WHY did you give me a SALAD without lettuce. Don’t you think this would be a question someone would have asked

I’ve struggled with this Subway for years. The workers do not seem to want to be there, and are not pleasant, despite efforts to be friendly. Lately, the bread has been stale. The phone is not being answered, and this store refuses to honor online offers. I am now going to a different subway at Bitters, which proved to be better, but still not great. Shame, as I have been going here for years.

This subway is the best location for amazing customer service. One employee in particular has earned this five star rating, a girl with red hair and love across the top of her hand. She is super welcoming and very talkative, my sandwich was handled with care and toasted to a perfect crisp! I recommend this store to anyone who wants to be treated like a valued customer. Amazing job!!

I have been to this location on three different occasions and each time they never have any bread....NO BREAD at a subway sandwich shop so tell me how are you to make a sandwich without any bread. Absolutely ridiculous I have never had such poor service at a location before and this was a Saturday night at 8:30. Where is the manager some one needs to learn how to do their job.

This is my second time going thru the drive thru. First time they got my order wrong and I was compensated .This time had to wait to order from counter window hoping they would get it right, even tipped. Subway was over dressed with chipotole ranch and they did not give me pepper jack cheese but swiss cheese instead. Drive -Thru sucks will never go back again!! ! !!!

Counter prep window was spotless from fingerprints outside glass and inside glass after 2pm weekday, attentive quick service. Sunday afternoon visit after 1pm , service still good, but outside counter windows starting to look grubby outside due to customers' prints, and inside prep counter glass splashed.Tidy up beverage and sit in areas and you will be top notch.

I was served a sandwich with stale bread today. I ordered a foot long ham on Jalapeño Cheese bread. When I arrived home and ate it I could only eat half of it. The rest was stale - tough, chewy, as if it was baked several days prior and left out. Big disappointment. The bread has to be fresh.

This location is filthy. There were 3 employees working and all the tables were vacant and still dirty. Beverage area was a mess with wet tea bags just sitting on the counter. Bathrooms were dirty. Mold in the toilets. We had planned to eat inside but everything was such a turn off.

When I go there, they never wash their hands, never where hairnets, and manageement is rude beyond beliefe. One. Guy who made my sandwhich took 10mins JUST to get the meat (chciken) on the bread. And looked at me w a blankk stare.

Flys landing on the meat. Gross find another subway. They don't bother closing the lid to protect the meat.
