I came in today.. after walking a couple blocks to get to this location because my kid's requested they wanted subway . As we came in nobody greeted us . There were two employees working Julieta & Debbie . Debbie which from the beginning i can see something was bothering her because of her face expression. I waited for her to get done drying her hands and ask what we were going to get . The whole time she had a really bad attitude like if making our sandwiches was something she didn't want to do but julieta was currently with a guest who was giving her a hard time, After Debbie got our bread & what type of sandwich we wanted she ask julieta to finish our after it was toasted in a really nasty way like demanding her to do it instead of politely asking her . After julieta comment she was not done with her guest Debbie wasn't pleased and continued making our sandwich in a very unhappy mood . Just throwing everything on the bread very unprofessionally not caring . It really made me feel bad and was going to comment to her that whatever we have going on in our life . We are in our workplace and gotta get it together and give our guest the best customer service experience we can . My kid's both even looked at me with the face that they knew something was wrong . All i would like to say is Debbie i know sometimes we have thing's going on and there's day we just not feeling it but the only the i would have loved is A SMILE . GOD BLESS YOU. Now i only wonder if her name is really Debbie and she wasn't just using someone elses name tag

Here at the top, Google asks me to report what's new about this Subway: What's new is that the workers here were unaware today, 23MAY22, about John Oliver's rather severe review of all Subways on his show last night. Now, here below are my initial and very important thoughts: Subway is the restaurant without a kitchen. The employees have staked out a corner of this place and have stocked it with a bunch of vegetables, a few cheeses and a small number of sandwich "meats" that have been prepared for sale years ago in some distant factory run by dentists. I've heard that the owners are mostly dentists. There's a long line of small tables in the line of traffic to the employees' corner. Everyone prefers to sit over on the other side of the room at the few tables there. This has got to be a mind-numbing place to work. Some workers can take it. Others tend towards meanness but don't throw stuff like the ham from the black forest. ... Google asks me on 05MAR22: has this Subway changed? It seems to me that the bread is different and the sandwich, too, but very likely it's got less stuff in it by weight. Yet the sandwich I had today was better than usual. It could be because that nice looking kid constructed it in careful and rapid way.

This has to be one of the nastiest Subway restaurants I’ve ever seen. I went there to check it out now that they’re supposedly slicing the meat to order where it’s all fresh and I found a shocking thing. Apparently they slice it all in the morning and it’s still laying out in the air all day. And then to look at the slicer it had old nasty meat hanging from it where they never cleaned it after they slice the meat. The floor was dirty. The serving area was dirty. They hadn’t even wiped off the stainless steel. The restaurant was empty, except for the person in the back, which took about two minutes to come out front. This will probably be the next restaurant, leaving Hillcrest due to the fact that the health department will likely close them down.

Have to say first time I have felt rushed in and out and employee wasnt friendly at all like previous nights. I understand you run out of items but to make a sandwich look extremely lacking ingredients was just not pleasing. I normally write reviews unless they are good but today I was very dissapointed. I asked if I could stay and eat my sandwich and the gentleman said its almost closing time(1115pm). I asked him, " I thought you close at 12". He stated, I have an emergency and my boss is aware so you have 15 min. I ate the within the 15 min time limit and still had not closed past 1135. I have to say from my previous subway experience, this was my least favorite and least enjoyed. :(

Got stuck behind a family all with coupons.. they let their kids run around and tear up the place, the kids were grabbing bags of chips that other people would buy and throwing them around, lazy family wouldn't put them back nor control their kids.. the girl being the counter couldn't be more slow and of course she was the only person working.. so I walked out .. couldn't wait any longer . Service at this location use to be real good, but something changed everyone who use to work there disappeared and it's gone down hill ever since. I work near by and need a quick bite .. but starting to regret going.to this subway

Ordered from grub hub and it took 20 minutes to receive a text stating that the food will "be here" shortly. Then receive an update that it would be another 20 minutes. They kept suggesting an upgrade for an additional fee for quicker delivery. I elected not to upgrade and the delivery time turned to 15 more minutes then another suggestion for the quicker delivery options and after yet another 30 more minutes was added! Very terrible service and ended up canceling the order. First and last time ever using this service. Supremely disappointed in both parties. Subway and grub hub

Not happy with this location....STINGY ON THE CHEESE...Both times I have been here they have been stingy with the shredded cheese. I eat subway almost everyday, sometimes twice a day. I know what the ample amount of cheese looks like. The same lady has been stingy both times and this last time she charged me a dollar for what should have been a regular serving. THEN SHE WANTED TO ARGUE ABOUT IT. Again, I have been to a lot of Subways and go almost everday. And almost always get the same thing. This lady needs an attitude adjustment.

I placed my order online for the 1st time. I'll never do that again. They didn't follow instructions per my request. I had very few ingredients. Mainly bread. Disappointing.

i was picking up for ubereats and met Enily. For some reason, on subway’s end, when ordering the oven roasted chicken salad thru ubereats it doesnt specify that the customer wants either a salad or sandwich. Anyway, just wanted to let her know the customer was very grateful that Enily was actually eager to know whether the customer wanted the salad or the sandwich and made sure i was able to contact the customer first before making her order.

Another typical Subway restaurant. The subs (if you know what and how to order them) can be amazing. If you try to order anything that has a chicken breast or solid protein the meat appears to be questionable at best. The dining room on my last 3 visits has been dirty. Chairs askew, dirty tables, homeless people occupying and not eating. For a quick lunch or dinner this makes it uncomfortable to be honest.

Good menu choices, the Android app is screwy so I prefer to come in and order in person. Been coming here for over a decade,the businesses around it have come and gone, this is a survivor of the restaurant wars. Employees, owners and managers also come and go but for the most part friendly. This Subway has some much coveted off street parking, in this part of Hillcrest, tight but it's parking.

The employee that worked during the time I ordered my friend and I a sandwich was not too inviting or nice as usual. Last week she messed up my online order with a nasty attitude when I picked up my order and this week she got my order right with a nasty attitude. It was the Subway on 4th Avenue in Hillcrest.

Went in and two employees are making sandwiches and this guy isn’t wearing a mask and nothing was said. When I finally spoke up they continued to say nothing. This is beyond unacceptable and Subway needs to empower, encourage, educate, support, and protect their employees. This store is currently NOT pandemic safe.

Subway is excellent for a fresh, healthy sandwich. Whether it be roast beef,chicken, ham, or vegetables with their famous egg whites. Delicious is the word for Subway.

I’m not sure of the persons (male) name working tonight but I asked for a chicken teriyaki sandwich & they were out of chicken. He called his manager & im not sure what the problem was but he became semi aggressive and I had to leave the store. Very strange!! I will not be coming back to this subway.

This is my favorite Subway (on 4th in Hillcrest, CA) and despite others false reviews, the staff is actually very helpful and have always gotten my order correct! I definitely won't go to any other subway and neither should you!!

Right now is Grab & Go. Good for in a rush. Depending on who's running the cash register. Sometimes you get charged for heating the sandwich up. Sometimes you don't so be sure to ask. They are offering a two-for-one on sub sandwiches, but you have to download their app to get that.

It's a really good place but only reason I give it 3 is cause they don't have vegetarian options.

You know what you're getting at Subway. This particular location was clean and the lone employee working there at 8pm on a Saturday was friendly. He didn't know what this mystery, unlabeled red sauce was, but I don't really care. It's Subway.

The tomatoes were old that day. The skin was wrinkly instead of firm. The bread seemed stale, not as soft as it usually is at other Subways. There was no tea made either. For lunch hour, I would have thought to be able to expect better.

I eat here all the time but usually it's ok service but today it was excellent, I got an Italian BMT and it was the best one I've had from this location and it was made by sand which artist Ashlee

Always fast and friendly service which is 95% of what subway is. Fresh ingredients and employees don't skimp on them either like most subways. Very busy place but never a long wait.

This place is ALWAYS out of meatball sandwichs. I drove 10min the other day at 2pm and they are out, then again today at 4pm and they are out. This place never restocks anything

I have been going here since they opened and in the last few months they went from having a $4.99 meal, to $5.99 and now that meal is $7.35! They just lost a long time customer!

Very good location.Tuna foot long for the airport...googled location's near me,this one had the best reviews. Sandwich was totally satisfying, lady who made it a pleasure.

All I'm gonna say is that I could happily eat their soup everyday! I just wish they had a large instead of that one dam size but either way, you can't beat the price!
