Cool park with new obstacles and it’s right in fish creek so easy access!! You can play in the river and let your dog swim around or use the park to train your puppy, and throw a ball or explore the forestry. Usually busy near the entrance but you can wander and find a secluded spot in about 15 minutes. Best dog park in the city!
A great park; lots of different areas to explore with your pup including an off leash river. There's an enclosed area for training younger dogs as well. Most people pick up after their dogs. People come from all over the city because it's large so you sometimes lose the close-knit community feel.
Love taking my dog here it’s very large and she loves running around with all the dogs. There are some people with dogs that don’t have manners and they don’t get corrected which can be frustrating and I noticed a lot of people do not pick up after the dogs.
Well maintained and lots of space to roam. This is a great spot to take dogs who have good recall and play well with other dogs and kids. There are several sections to the park, including areas with access to the river for swimming in the summer.
Great dog park. Large with a lots of places to explore. It is completely fenced in with gates between areas. There are smaller gated fields if you can't let your dog roam free around the whole place but still want to let them run free a bit.
First time visiting this park! Brought my 2 little dogs and they loved it. There were a lot of big dogs when we went, not as many little but all were well behaved! On a cooler day the 10min walk to the water is very nice and lots of chances
Best dog park in town! My guy loves it! He’s still a pup and we’re workingon recall but no one seems to mind if he wanders off a bit. All really friendly owners and 95% of the time friendly dogs, none that are aggressive just a little shy
Sue Higgins Dog Park has it all. LOTS of open fields, hills, trees, shaded areas, and four separate river access points. I've read and heard stories about dog attacks but have not had any issues (knock on wood). Plenty of friendly people
I cannot recommend this place enough. It's huge and has tons of fully fenced area for the dogs to run. I really appreciate the smaller gated areas within the larger park where I can take my somewhat reactive dog and he can still run and
I love taking my overly energetic German Shepherd here. The river access is always so entertaining in the summer, and the area is really well maintained. The only issue I really have when going here is with other owners staring at their
Large park divided into three areas: north, south, and riverside. Access to the Bow River from the Riverside or South Loop. The park offers two fully fenced-off areas that are great for training or off-leash play time for dogs who have
This park is AMAZING! Being new to the city and first time visiting I'm completely blown away in love with it. The vast amount of space, trails and awesome friendly dogs and owners, this is a heaven for all to enjoy. Highly recommend.
This park is a fabulous open space for the dog to run! Lots of separated areas for dog and owners to explore, and access to the river! It gives us good exercise too. I love meeting all the other dog owners and dogs!
This place is awesome. I can't believe I've only just found it. Places to hit up the river. Huge areas to run. Sectioned off from the bike path. Fully fenced! Nice treed areas. Lots to love.
Love this park. There is a river access for the dogs to swim which is great. Also the trails are great as there is lots of shade for those hot days. Great place for the dogs to run around
We love this dog park ! Our favorite spot in the world, we have the best days here, even when we are having a bad day, we come down to the park and everything feels good again ! …
Amazing off leash space. Most dogs are playful… tons of space including bow river, forest and open areas. Some odd dogs can get aggressive but I guess that could happen everywhere
Large park with ample greenspace, lots of trees and shrubs, and river access. Only downside is the parking lot is a bit small for the size of the park.
Literally like an ice feild in the wintertime and when it melts it is so covered in water I recommend wearing waterproof boots when its nice out!
Favourite dog park in the city. It's huge and has river access. So many dogs and everyone is nice. Just look at my dog. This is her every time.
Title: Oreo's Happy Place: Sue Higgins Off-Leash Area Oreo, my crazy pup, loves the freedom to play, wrestle, and "borrow" balls from
Saw a bald eagle, doing some hunting at the Bow River. Always something to see and explore here. Great people and awesome dogs.
Clean well maintained park. Users seem to be responsible in tending to their pets too which is nice
An incredible dog park, but suffering a bit from it's popularity. It's a little over trafficked.
All things considered it's incredible how well all the dogs and most of the people get along.
