However, the Persian inscription on the second stone was not clear. Officials said the script would be readable once the stone is cleaned. The two stones with Hindi and Persian inscriptions dating back to 1854. Four wells in four corners of the kund were also ‘unearthed’ during the cleaning operation, said Rajeev Kumar, OSD, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA).

Park is beautifully lanscaped on d concept of astronomy. I entered the park just to have a glimpse of it. But as I moved forward many new things unfurled before me. The pond on one side caught my attention. It is well maintained . However , adding some aqatic plants like water lily n lotus would enhance its charm. Due to paucity of time I could not explore d entire park. I strongly recommend this place for people seeking some peaceful time amidst d city husle n busle. Do add dis to ur tour buket if u r planning to see Residency n Plenetoriun which are in its vicinity.

One can reach this place from Charbagh Railway station by Taking a auto rickshaw to Dollyganj bridge and from there you have to walk back 100 m and then turn right from the Chauraha Second way is to take auto rickshaw for Qaiserbagh bus stand then take another one to Either Dollyganj or Nabiullah Road via Indira Gandhi Planetarium and Suraj Kund Park.

Place is too good. Well cleaned. Free entry. Best part of the park is peace and you'll find sun clock which is UPs first clock (Source- locals). In pond you'll find fish. Peaceful place for student you can visit and read/learn without any disturbance.

Neat and tidy place. You can wait here till your show starts in Indira Gandhi Planetarium. There's a lake. Very green. Good stopping point to rest for a while. Right on a chowk. And epitaphs that enumerate various planets and astronomers.

Park is spacious but due to lack of maintenance by government bodies it's condition is not good enough. At least drinking water and proper lighting should be maintained.
