I went to pick up a cake order today and was waiting for my turn to talk to someone. It wasn’t too busy when I arrived. Only one couple before me and a woman with her child after me. Kirsten (or maybe Krista? Couldn’t really see the name tag) was helping the couple before me so I waited as other workers also seemed busy. As soon as the couple was done, Kirsten made eye contact with me 2 times standing infront of the display case but did not say anything to me at all. She then walks over to the white woman (and her child) who walked in right after me (standing off to the side) and asks if she’s been helped, she says she has then Kirsten apologizes for the “long wait”. She turns around and then makes eye contact with me again as I am still waiting for someone to talk to me and she still says nothing and starts “looking busy”. Finally another worker helped me. She took 10 minutes to find my order (which I didn’t mind because sometimes things get mixed up) but then I noticed Kirsten and another worker go up to that other woman again and apologize for the long wait and they were chit chatting away. When I finally got my order nobody said anything to me. No “sorry for the long wait” or “have a nice day”, I had been there close to 20 minutes already. The girl helping me seemed too concerned about saying bye to her friend. I was the only POC in the store and obviously the service experience was a lot different for me judging by how others were being treated (friendly and being greeted) as I was standing there observing. I thought maybe I was reading too much into the situation but I scrolled through the reviews and found other Asian people who had a similar experience here too.

Covid Update: So this bday was a little different this year given Covid. I have to say, Sweet Impressions has handled the pandemic exemplary (other companies should take note). Their online system is easy to navigate and detail-oriented. It was a breeze to order a custom cake. I emailed for clarification and customer service was both prompt and courteous. They’re not doing the same level of customization as in pre-Covid times, but the quality is still top notch. We initially ordered here because of the nut-free element (school), but we continue to order from them as the cakes and cookies are top quality. I love that the cakes are not too sweet, but still decadent. Our most recent cake was stunning. It lacked slightly in the berry compote, but the individual elements were exceptional. We will continue to order from Sweet Impressions for our celebratory needs. Great little bake shop. Perfect for school functions and children’s bday parties as it is nut free. We have ordered our child’s bday cake and cupcakes from here for the past 2 years. We had custom cookie toppers of my child’s favourite cartoon on the cupcakes and they were adorable! Very accurate depictions of the characters and the children loved them! The cupcakes are great tasting as well. We always order extra for the parents too—all of whom had rave reviews of the cupcakes! Their cookies are very well decorated—very beautiful! My child loves them, although I’ve never personally tried them myself.

I recently bought a cake here for my sisters birthday. I was initially going to get a custom made cake from another bakery but they cancelled last minute. Luckily, sweet impressions was able to do a vanilla cake literally 2 days before the birthday. They charged me 79 dollars so I thought it was going to be worth the prize. The moment we pulled the cake from the box at the party, everyone was so impressed by the way it looked despite it being a last minute cake. My sister was so happy until we cut the cake and served it. I could tell the guests were trying to discreetly throw away their plates because when I opened the trash bin there were piles of barely eaten cake ( I thought they might have been exaggerating until I actually tasted it). My sister was thankful but I could tell she didn't enjoy it. It was super dense and dry and the cookies n cream butter cream was gritty. Not at all what I expected especially for the prize. Thank you for reaching out. I will be sure to try some of your other pastries as I originally choose this place because of a highly praised recommendation. I would have typed this under your response, but I'm not sure if its possible.

There are only wonderful things to say about this bakery ! They set up the dessert table for my wedding and it was as stunning as it was delicious. All the flavours and color palette were completely customized and the tablescape was perfectly executed...and let's just say I'm very meticulous. Working with them to achieve what I had in mind was an absolute dream. The red velvet cake pops are by far my favorite but all the selections they recommended were a total hit - heart shaped imperial cookies, caramel corn, mini cupcakes and the list goes on... The fact that they are 100% nut free was great because two of our wedding party members have severe nut allergies, so they could indulge without worry. I still swing by on a regular basis for freshly baked goods and of course because it's so darn cute in there !! The giftware is beyond adorable and they're always working on new recipes. Doughnuts are new on the menu and are hands down THE best I've ever had. Check them out, I promise you won't be disappointed !

We are so happy with the services received from Sweet Impressions for our wedding on 08/27/22! I was at the Wonderful Wedding Show back in January 2022 and was so amazed with all their beautiful work and how friendly they were when I was asking questions. We really wanted to a cake cutting ceremony to have as photo keepsakes! I showed them a specific design / inspo pic of what I really wanted for our small 6” cake, and they successfully replicated exactly what I wanted which matched my headpiece and necklace design! Not only was it so beautiful, it was also so delicious- Salted Caramel was the flavour we chose on the inside. The staff were so easy to work with and had very open and clear communication at all times. We had a few virtual meetings to discuss details of the cake and they were great at answering all questions and offering advice if needed! We got so many compliments from our guests about the design of our small cake! We recommend them to everyone!

I have tried their products on many occasions, mostly cupcakes. I’ll start off by saying that I don’t have a huge sweet tooth - I especially don’t like overly sweet anything. I find their icing to be very sweet, and the cupcakes are topped with HUGE amounts of it! I usually end up wiping half of the icing off the top. The cupcake itself is always oily. I have to wipe grease off my fingers after eating one, especially the red velvet. There is not much flavour to the cake itself either. I feel like they are really banking on their icing to carry them through. To me the cake is what makes all the difference. The icing on top is literally all that it’s supposed to be: icing on top of a great tasting product. Instead I always have overpoweringly sweet icing on top of a tasteless greasy cake. I gave three stars as they have a flashy store and nice employees that give good customer service.

I really wanted to have a donut wall at my wedding but didn't know how to make it happen until I saw Sweet Impressions Donut Shoppe display at the Wonderful Wedding Show. After that, I knew I had to work with Sweet Impressions on my wedding day desserts! The Donut Shoppe was perfect, complete with lots of delicious donuts (all custom designed to match my wedding decor), florals, and a tasty two-tier cake! The team at Sweet Impressions was so friendly and easy to work with, and they let my husband and I taste all the donuts during our consultation. These aren't just regular cake donuts, they are SO much better than anything I've tasted before. If you're looking for cakes and desserts for your wedding that taste as good as they look, then I highly recommend you go with Sweet Impressions!

My wife and I had Sweet Impressions bake and deliver our June 2019 wedding cake and mini cupcakes. Sweet Impressions was pretty prompt to respond to emails and was easy to work with. We worked out a design between us that worked. The cake and cupcakes were absolutely outstanding. They looked and tasted amazing and were exactly what we wanted. Being that Sweet Impressions is 100% nut free this make their food edible by everyone at our wedding. We had many compliments on them from our guests. The cake and cupcakes were delivered about 30 minutes later than anticipated, but still arrived in time and were setup quickly and perfectly. We highly recommend Sweet Impressions for their cakes, mini cupcakes, and cookies.

Sweet Impressions-the name says it all in the desserts you will get from this amazing local dessert boutique. The staff at the location are very warming, and I may be in my 20's but I felt like a young child when I first walked into this bake shop. If I could, I would buy everything in that store every Friday! my top suggestions would be the Cloud 9 cake. Omg! definitely feel like on cloud 9 when you eat it. Adults and Children who have peanut allergies, have no fear, sweet impressions is here! I have also seen them work with local charities and community events, which is great to see. Don't see many bake shops that invest time like that. If this was a franchise, I would invest in them.

I am beyond impressed and thrilled with the final products for my daughters Archery party. You and your staff are Magical baking wizards. Sweet Impressions never ceases to make a "WOW ! " moment for all occasions. You transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday and the customer service was excellent and the cake looked great, but unfortunately the cake which I ordered was very dense and a little dry (which I guess might be expected since it was a vegan cake), but the icing was too very sweet and I don't think there was one person who was able to finish even a very thin slice of cake. Although the service/look of the cake was excellent, we were very disappointed that the cake was a waste. I would like to add that they have gone out of our way to make things right since my review and have been very genuine about it. Their customer service is excellent, just beware of the icing it can be very sweet!

The dilemna . . . A perfact Birthday cake for my wife to meet her & our kids dietary needs. Regular bakeries & cakes don't cut it. Frosting / icing too sweet, not to mention dairy, gluten etc. What a dilemna ! The perfect answer / solution I found was with " Sweet Impressiong " ! Amazing cakes, & service ! I ordered two Vegan cakes. Chocolate Ice Cream Cake & Lemon Berry Sprinkle Cake. They were both outstanding in quality, presentation & especially taste ! The overall rating from our family of 12, ranging in age from 3yrs. to 71 yrs., was an unequivocal 5 / 5 ! Trust the kids, they're the experts ! We highly recommend Sweet Impressions. My friend and I just took a cookie decorating class with Lori for Valentine's Day. We were impressed with how much we learned and accomplished in the 2 hour class. The cookies turned out quite well and tasted amazing!! We were so impressed that we signed up for an Easter cookie decorating class :) On another note, one of my students has brought in sweet impressions cupcakes for 3 class parties so far this year and each time they taste just as amazing as the last! I have a student with an egg allergy and one with a nut allergy and I think it's so fantastic that they get to enjoy such a delicious and "safe" treat. Thanks for creating such delicious treats!!

We ordered their Sweet Shoppe for our wedding (the Mini Sweet Shoppe). They delivered exactly what we'd asked for and still managed to amaze us: everything looked and tasted amazing. I didn't get to try everything (the cake pops went SO FAST) but what I did eat was delicious! I'm normally very picky with cupcakes (I usually scrape off half the icing) but these were perfect. We also ordered cookies with guests' names on them to replace name cards at each seat. These were greatand I heard over and over the day after, "I'm so glad I remembered to take mine home and eat it!" Sweet Impressions went beyond expectations , and I'd definitely recommend them.

They made the dessert table for our wedding and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The consultation process was great, they sent over a tasting box delivered to our door and then they tailor made the table exactly how we wanted to fit our theme. On top of that it was all delicious! Everyone raved about how beautiful and tasty our desserts were. We also opted to use their Bake the World a Better Place cookies for our wedding favours as the local charity was one that really spoke to us and everyone loved their cookie to take home knowing the proceeds all went to a good cause. Would definitely recommend them for your wedding needs!

We had a great experience with Sweet Impressions! The owner set up a great tasting months before the wedding where we got to try a ton of delicious flavours. She was very detailed in making sure that we got everything we wanted with both the taste and the appearance of the cake. We got a petite two tier cake, which was more than enough to feed the wedding party and our parents (we had gotten a separate cake for the rest of the guests.) The flowers were a beautiful touch. Our cake was delivered to the venue and set up on the table, waiting for us when we arrived. It was fresh and delicious and everything we wanted!

Unfortunately I was not given the opportunity to try or purchase a cake as I was told that I missed the cut off time to order a small cake for my daughter's birthday by 3.5 hours. There was no attempt to accommodate the request by asking how large or small the event is or size of cake that I was requesting. Ironically, cup cakes were recommended instead. They have time 2 full days to accommodate making cupcakes but not a small 6 inch cake. As a business owner myself I'm very disappointed for the lack of willingness to work with a customer who was looking forward to a nice birthday celebration with a vegan cake.

First time here and was floored by all the options! I found it very cool how the products were a big part of the decor - they clearly care a lot about first impressions. The staff were super friendly and patient with me - I probably took 5 minutes to make up my mind and was greeted by 3 different people in that time. I can't remember it was called, but I had a slice of a layered cookie cake thing - amazing! Not too sweet and it had just the right amount of give to sliced easily with a fork, yet still remain the chewy cookie goodness. I'll be back :).

Great selection of gorgeous and tasty treats! They provided our doughnut wall for our wedding and the only regret is that we didnt get MORE of them! Their sugar cookies, cupcakes and cake pops are to DIE for. Wedding consultation was a really nice experience...we wish we had ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from them! Ordered a cake for my mother in laws birthday celebration.. and we gave no doubt that it will be delicious. I ordered a pumpkin flavored classic cake with creamy cheese icing. The cake itself looked cute. The taste was good except the icing part. the icing part was so sweet that I couldn't stand it. when I gave a piece of it to a friend of mine, she thought I made that cake by myself, so she pointed that for someone who doesn't bake a lot that is a good one, however when I said this is from sweet impression she was so surprised and said it didn't looked like it was baked by a professional. I like this place but I got disappointed some how.

This company made a "sweet impression" on me this week! It was a pleasure to communicate with Mary and her staff about our corporate order. What a great website! It was easy to place an order and I was confident that the company would do a fantastic job. The presentation and taste was exceptional. I was so proud to give these to our suppliers and clients. Cris of sweet impressions helped us with the planning for our wedding day sweets table and she did an awesome job. Although it's just a gathering of 12 due to the restriction, the sweets table did turn out looking classy. We did get a lot of compliments, from the cutting cake to the cupcakes, to the donuts (my wife's personal favourite). They were all yum and really look chic. Also, we don't like overly sweet and Cris made sure it's just the exact sweetness. All in all it was a great experience and we will definitely come back.

I’ve had so many amazing experiences with Sweet Impressions. Their donuts are my favourite and I love their new location with the adorable pink cafe! I took a cookie decorating class with my best friend back when they were located in st Boniface and I have been a huge fan ever since. Delicious! We hired Sweet Impressions a few years ago for our wedding cake. They were very organized. We sat down with the owner who explained the whole process and had us taste samples to select what we wanted. The cake was delicious. We were totally satisfied with their service. We visit from time to time, they have so many great deserts! Our favorites are the sandwich cookies. We also signed up with them to get free cupcakes on our birthdays. Love that they are nut free as my wife is anaphylactic to peanuts.

We had Sweet Impressions create a sweets table for our wedding last weekend. Not only was Cris so easy to work with (I was a long distance bride, living in Edmonton with our wedding being in Winnipeg) but she made COVID planning so easy and flexible. Sweet Impressions has been my go-to bakery for years. They created beautiful cookies for my staff Christmas gifts, friends birthday gifts and recently their cookie decorating kits for my friends kids to help them keep their sanity. I have taken their decorating classes too. I personally love their sandwich cookies and macaroons (the cinnamon ones are so yum). Thd staff go above and beyond. I have never been disappointed and would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion.

I always enjoy their treats and they make lovely gifts. With the lockdown you have to place your order in advance (very understandable) but I dropped the ball. I called in the morning and they said they could help me out if I ordered online. I had some problems placing an order online, not sure it it was on on my server end or perhaps due to a glitch due to the high volume of orders. Anyways, the staff was so helpful when I called and went above and beyond to help me out.

Always a great experience with Sweet Impression! Ordered a cake for my dad and had some changes with the pick up date. With such short notice they were able to accommodate me and even waited for me to come after their closing time and to my surprise they even gave me some small treats! Also, they provided the wonderful dessert table and cake for my sister’s debut which made the event more awesome as the guests have enjoyed the sweet treats! Keep up the great job!

I have been dealing with Sweet Impressions for just over four years and is always the most pleasurable experience. Krista, Ainsly and staff are always amazing and helpful. I pick up wonderful treats for customers on a weekly basis and everyone enjoys them leaving a lasting impression. My son and his girlfriend are vegan so we always get vegan cakes now for a special occasion. It was my birthday and I really like vanilla cakes so we ordered the vanilla confetti cake. It was amazing! I enjoyed the cake part a lot. The icing was a little bit sweet for me but still great. Reasonable prices too. They put a sugar cookie in the middle on top, that’s a fun touch. We will DEFINITELY be ordering from Sweet Impressions again!

I have picked-up baking from Sweet Impressions on numerous occasions. As someone with a peanut allergy, I much appreciate the peanut free business model. Sweet Impressions had so many options to fit a wide variety of budgets for weddings. We were able to choose from dessert options such as cookies, cupcakes, and dainty squares, as well as a smaller cake for my husband and I to cut and share. They handled all of the setup and it looked so beautiful! They also matched the florals on the cake to our wedding flowers which was an extra bonus!

My wife and I availed one of their dessert packages for our wedding last month. They were professional and quick to respond. For their desserts, they had a lot of options and have packages that were budget friendly. They also offered nut free treats if that is a concern. Their cake was amazing, as well as their cookies! We've ordered custom birthday cookies in the last few years for my son's school birthday and we are always pleased. We just received our Easter carrot cake and Easter decorating cookie kit this morning and WOW! It was both Beautiful and Yummy. A wonderful way to enjoy the quarantine with the family. Just had our wedding and the dessert table and cake we got from sweet impressions was perfect! Our guests enjoyed the dessert table and the cake was delicious! Everything was made to our request and had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommended! Great that it was also peanut-free as we had guests with peanut allergies! Melanie did a great job helping us with everything as well!

We ordered the Gluten Free Mousse Chocolate Cake, custom cupcakes, mini cupcakes and the peppermint patties. The staff was very friendly and communicated very well on the phone and via email. Everything was delicious except I think we will pass on the peppermint patties - they chocolate coating was too thin and the mint was not soft enough. Overall would order again!

Beautiful little bakery/café and excellent customer service! Even though it was quite busy when I went, Emily and Abby were incredibly friendly and helpful. They took time to give suggestions that they thought I would like and clarified how they were making my drinks the whole time in case there was something I didn't like. Will absolutely be returning.

I was excited for them to open their new shop on Corydon, with bigger space, plenty of room and perfect pit stop for coffee and dessert anytime of day, with great staff to boot! This is one of the most adorable bakeries I've ever been too! The shop is so cute and has tons of great and unique gift ideas. The cupcakes are delicious! Very moist and not overly sweet. They have great great taste! They had a nice selection of cupcakes plus tons of other treats as well!! A definite hit and we will definitely be going back!!

Love the new location. It was the first time we went just for a coffee and some nice cookies. The coffee was very tasteful, we all had cappuccino. There are quite a few options for different coffees. The seating are is cozy and bright to enjoy a cup with friends. Now we do more at Sweet Impressions than having fantastic cakes and deserts .

Sadly, I have never gotten to eat any treats from the bakery - I wish to one day. I have family in Winnipeg whom I love dearly and needed a cookie provider! We have had a number of parties topped off with their beautiful cookies as favours for the guests. They are always so creative and beautiful. Ordered a confetti smash cake for a one year old’s photo op-it was perfect! Their shop is adorable, and they gave me a cake with only a few days notice (they didn’t have to but they did, props for going the extra mile!). Nice decor, cakes are dry and too sugary. The blonde girl at the front had such an attitude and had to explain myself multiple times. ⚠️Just a white people business. Just bought a cake from them for my wife's birthday. And we loved them. I originaly wanted to buy a custom made cake but because it was a short notice. they were unable to do it. So I ordered the next day cake (chocolate mousse) instead, and it was really good.

Ordered mini cupcakes and custom happy birthday cookies for our sons 1st birthday and they were a hit! They received many compliments and one of our guests even made an order right after for another birthday! Cupcakes were so moist and just the perfect bite.

Great selection for Vegan cupcakes ! The staff is very welcoming as soon as I walked in the cafe . Tons of other treats available on display for to-go items (cookies, pretzels etc). I will be trying more flavours next time !

Sweet impressions bakery is my absolute favourite bakery to visit! They’re products are so good and the customer service is impeccable! I visited their new location and it is gorgeous. 100% would recommend. :)

Its a quaint niche little store, very inclusive to all allergies and diets. The store & customer service were at 10/10 while the food was about 6.5/10. Recognizing the limited ingredients it was to be 8.5/10.

Sweet Impressions made out wedding cake and it turned out beautiful. We were a bit unsure of what exactly we wanted but we explained the colours and the cake turned out better than we could have hoped.

Cute place, and would love to get a photo in the super cute pink booth, but every time my friends and I have gone, the owner is sitting in the pink booth all day, so no customers ever get to enjoy it.

This bakery is cute. It has the prettiest pink booth in the corner which is a great place to enjoy a treat. They have baking and specialty drinks. It’s great having a bakery that is nut free!
