My wife and I went to the waterdown location our first visit. We were very happy to find they had gluten-free options as my wife is celiac. We purchased a GF brownie which was amazing, we also bought a frozen GF chicken parmesan with pasta. Sadly, the Chicken parm was NOT GLUTEN-FREE! MY wife was extremely sick for five days after eating half of it. I contacted Liddio the owner and advised him of this issue at first his response was sympathetic and understanding he promised to remove all the rest GF chic parms from the freezer. A few days later, I talked to him again at this point he told me that they pulled all of the items. He said his staff tasted them to see if they were GF he claims they were....I felt slighted as I am sure that no one who sampled the items were celiac. You can't just taste to be sure, you need to ask anyone who is celiac. They did offer us some more meals, but why would we ever trust a place again after they made my wife so very sick. We would have enjoyed being long term customer's but when a minor mistake can hospitalize you ...all trust is lost.

I was so torn how to review this place. On one hand, I love the huge selection of dinner items and desserts, most of which are delicious and fresh and keep me craving more. Their lemon cream pies and various cookies are delicious. I also haven't experienced any customer service issues like others have noted here. My one big problem is the consistency on freshness and quality items - when the baked goods are fresh, my goodness, it's 5 star quality all around. However, when I stock up on a box full of assorted items, everytime there is at least one or two items that have been clearly been behind the counter for too long and it shows in taste and texture... when you are paying $2-3 for one small cookie, or $3-4 for one very small price of cheesecake or brownie, you expect the quality and freshness to be there and sadly this place can be hit and miss depending on the day you go and the products you buy.

Second location and it is close to where I live so that is a bonus! Awesome spot to grab some fresh or frozen authentic Italian food. Today's purchases were one slab( it is huge) of fresh lasagne, fresh dinner rolls, small container of Greek pasta salad, cple of Portuguese tarts and 2 cake pops. I also grabbed some frozen sauce with meatballs for the freezer. So many things to choose from as you can walk out with a fresh dinner meal or some to savor at another time. It is not as big as the Hamilton location BUT it is packed with lots of goodies and the deli serves up some awesome sandwiches and other lunch options. Who knows, maybe they will open up a 3rd location in the town of Dundas...smack dab in the middle of both locations.

Honestly speaking, I have tried returning to this bakery multiple times after a few months break as it is right across our home BUT I HAVE ALWAYS always always been disappointed. Recently ordered half a dozen croissants and they were burnt from below and not fresh at all. All their pastries with creme taste stale. One time we even ended up with a box of eclairs that was moldy from the bottom. I believe most of their baked items come from the other bakery and they let them stay on shelf for as long as they sell out and honestly it shows. The goods are consistently stale tasting and never fresh. I think they need to rethink their business model here. They would do best being a full functioning bakery.

I went to get my mother a cupcake to celebrate her birthday and asked the person behind the counter what the different flavours of cupcakes that they sold were. She went through each one and then I decided on a chocolate cupcake with vanilla butter cream icing with chocolate filling in the middle and a sour cherry on top. When my mom went to eat the cupcake there was no chocolate filling, the icing was whip cream not butter cream and the sour cherry on top was a maraschino cherry, nothing sour about it. The staff member basically lied to me about what kind of cupcake it was and it was stale on top of all that. It went straight into the garbage and I will never purchase bake goods from them again

Asked for deli meat and the girl behind the counter was putting the meat on the dirty counter and also touching her mask as she coughed at the same time. Also the meat was off as It had a old taste to it like it had been hanging around in the counter for quite some time. Some of the baked items are very good ( definitely overpriced). We had the chicken sandwich. Not impressed as it was very dry. Won't b returning sadly. Customer service here is extremely poor! Not friendly and very slow .You need to hire more staff so people aren't waiting 45 minutes to be looked after.I want to support small businesses so improve your staff.

Fantastic number of choices. Large clean store qith knowledgeable staff and helpful with suggestions for different types of prepared pasta dishes. I was rushing around getting last minute shopping for Christmas, however, I was so tempted with all the fresh goodies that I choose to stay longer to purchase more items. It was busy but service was excellent and fast. Now it's a weekly place to go for fresh baked goods. Also the choice of cold cuts was excellent. They had every type of cold cuts to satisfy anyone's taste. Would recommend it to friends for sure

The food is amazing. That being said, if customer service is important to you, you won’t get it here. Of the dozens of times I have visited, I can count on one finger the times I have been treated friendly and kindly by staff. Often staff act like you are a bother to them when asking for deli or bakery items and I have NEVER been thanked for my business or even smiled at while paying. So if you enjoy good food and being treated like you’re a bother by the business that you’re supporting, then absolutely give this place a try.

Update - has improved since opening up. Disappointing - they are often out of stock on fresh baked items by mid day with no plans to restock until the next day. I have gone there a few times about 4 or 5 (they close at 8) to be told they are out of stock on a lot of different items. If you're open until 8 you should have stock on the shelves to at least 6:30/7:00. There are plenty of other establishments similar to this nearby that don't have this issue and have just as good, if not better fresh baked products.

I find most of the staff very friendly contrary to some other experiences posted here. I go often for the delicious slab pizza and really enjoy chatting with one or two of the lovely staff there. In terms of quality, I think many of us would agree that I wish they did fewer items really really well instead of a ton of different things basically or with lacklustre. There are definitely enough great items to make each trip worthwhile, though. I will always be a customer since this is a local small business.

My 4th wife and I pulled into the parking lot here as we're looking at properties in Waterdown. I was adamant about moving the family to Wellend until we stepped foot into Sweet Paradise. This place sold me on Waterdown. I ordered an assorted Sub and my wife grabbed a slice and some biscotti. Hopefully the Waterdown education system is as good as their customer service because we bought a row townhouse right nextdoor.

My favourite at the cold deli counter is the lasagna hands down some of my favourite I've ever had. Massive piece, reheats really well. I got 2 pieces of chicken Parm and 1 slice of lasagna and this fed 3 adults. Great deal. And of course the pastries are not to be missed as well. I'm normally a Sicilian cannoli lover but got a venetian one this time to and it was delectable. Light, flaky with gorgeous pasty cream.

My mom spent 500$ at Christmas time on preloaded gift cards for me & my siblings and I’ve called numerous times asking if the problem with accepting and honouring the gift card’s they sold to people is fixed, and the employee tells me every time that there’s no one available who knows anything about it, zero updates and seems like they scammed a bunch of people out of money at Christmas time.

Why make dinner when you can pick up some delicious lasagna and treats?! First time here and happy I stopped in! I got a piece of meat lasagna, two rice balls with cheese and some canolli - delicious and plenty for two adults! Lots of frozen options too for future dinners - great idea. And leave some room for dessert! So many good cakes, pastries and pies. Yum!

I ordered a black forest cake and it was dry and the whipped cream didn’t taste real even though they said it was a fresh ingredients. The donuts were just ok and the fresh pizza had a weird flavour but nice crust. I drove from out of town and was hopping for more. Not as nice a product of what I remember years ago from their Hamilton location.

Forget about Subway, Mr. Sub, Firehouse subs and the rest of them!!! If you want a real sub/hoagie or what ever you call it just get one here. Real bread, everything fresh, well built and loads of filling for a delicious filling sandwich .... also a better price for what you get than the big chains - Beats them by a long shot!!!!

Honestly wasn't what I expected. We have one on Upper Paradise and thats way better, more selection. The waterdown location just wasn't for me. I also had to go up to the meat counter since no one was at cash and actually had to ask for someone to cash me out. 1 star is being generous ( The chili isn't that wonderful either )

This is a great little place. The food is all fresh and delicious. Their donuts are amazing. The sandwiches are tasty. I can't get enough of their potato salad. I've had their custard tarts and cannolis and they're soo good. The staff are always quick and friendly. Even when it's busy, you're in and out in a timely manner.

This place is great! It has everything you could ever want in its deli and bakery sections. You can get a complete meal from soup to desert, the portions are huge and lots of variety. I go there whenever I am in the area. Would highly recommend going there to anyone who asks. I would tell anyone I know to go there.

Received cupcakes this morning in celebration of a staff’s birthday and all the cupcakes were moldy!!! The situation was rectified, but staff need to pay closer attention to the products they are selling to their clients and disposing of products that are beyond an appropriate shelf life…

Disgusting Cakes. I just bought a raspberry cake. It was a waste of $35. I don't know how they're still in business. This cake was disgusting and I had to throw it away. NEVER buy cakes from this nasty place. DON'T BUY anything from this nasty bakery. DIsgusting!!!!!!

small establishment with plenty to offer - nice freshly baked breads and treats, they make their own bottled sauces, we love the prepared baked dishes and often stop in to buy the veal Parmigiana or eggplant parm which are delicious, The lemon meringue pie is amazing!

Ordered a meatball sandwich today , I was disgusted. Low quality it’s more like a breadcrumb ball, can’t taste any meat. Also purchased a Buffalo chicken , no salt also almost $12 with tax . Over priced bakery with low quality . Won’t be back and do not recommend .

I love this little bakery and deli. Ive been coming here well over a year while working in Waterdown. I love their Lunch sandwiches and my family loves all of the ready and frozen dinner options. The lasagna and veal are favorites and all the treats.... SooO good.

I can't even think where to begin! The food is absolutely incredible and made with that little thing called love. It truly makes a difference when the people that work their enjoy what they do and love the smiles their food puts on the faces of their customers.

Good selection. Great breads and pastries and deli counter. Take out salads and pasta are outrageously priced. Better to get frozen lasagna. Some of the frozen goods are pricey too as is the jar/can goods. Expect to pay 2-3x what you would in a grocery store.

Been a few times, love love love the eggplant lasagna, service has been great each time with a happy to serve u attitude so far, food quality has been fantastic from what I have tried, I look forward to going back for gnocchi. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, Rick

Being new to the area I was hoping this would be my default go to bakery. I bought a couple rolls (sausage and beef) and a turkey samosa. I'm not sure if these are freshly made but it tasted like it was under cooked and have been there for a few days.

Amazing apple fritters. Lots of good options for deli meats and baked goods. Nice selection of snacks. Very friendly staff. Good selection of well known brands and fun things from Europe to try for the first time. 4 small tables outside under shade.

Our first visit to Seeet Paradise and we were very happy with the products and especially the service. Pretzels and doughnuts were delicious and the lemon meringue pie was scrumptious with its marshmallow type of meringue. Definitely will return.

Staff are always kind and welcoming - even if it is busy. I have only had their baked items, but they never disappoint. Sometimes there is a wait or product is out (very high demand) but it is always worth the wait or early morning visit!

We love this place, so many amazing pastries, delicious breads and buns, baked in hose and a great selection of cheese and meats. Plenty of parking and the staff is very nice and friendly. We stock up in the beard and buns and freeze it.

Amazing baked goods. The butter tarts were amazing, the Apple fritter was to die for and the cinnamon roll was absolutely divine. Next time I am in the area I am definitely getting one of their deli sandwiches. They looked amazing

Overpriced. Selling expired items. Constantly changing hours or closing before listed hours. But good Apple fritters (if they have them). The hot food section is good if you don’t mind waiting for them to take their sweet time.

This place never lets me down. I ordered a cake for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. Not only was it decorated like a wedding cake and looked amazing but it was all my guests could talk about. DELICIOUS!!!! as ALWAYS!!!!

I usually go to the Hamilton shop which is very busy and crowded so this was a welcome change. Cannoli donuts are amazing. Tried the creamy mushroom sauce tortellini family tray. Only cooks 20mins was a delishes meal for 4

So happy with our experience! They helped me organize a delivery of treats to my niece's crew on her shift at a local hospital. They were accommodating, the treats were incredible and I'd absolutely order from here again!

Fresh and tasty doughnuts! Everything is reasonable priced but I do wish the fritter was a tiny bit crispier and that the pumpkin pie doughnut had a bit more cinnamon. BUT that’s being picky - overall a really great spot!

Picked up a number of items for a small gathering of 8 people and the portions and suggestions were perfect. The food received a number of very good comments. Will definitely make it a regular stop for dinner ideas

Was so happy when they opened up new store in warerdown few years back.. nice combo of fresh or frozen Italion entries.. baked goods are typical ... top shelf Italion. Make special trips for the coleslaw alone..

Stay away from their "hot table" Wedges tasted days old and when I called to ask the lady confirmed they don't cook fresh ones every day. Chicken parm tasted old aswell but never asked if that was cooked daily

Excellent selection of delicious hot and cold food. We bought a hot sandwich and a slice of pizza, and both were tasty and very filling. The staff are helpful and very friendly, making for a great atmosphere.

Just an outstanding assortment of fresh baked goods. The best fritters - quite possibly, on this side of the Atlantic. I found the prices were really fair. I'm always in the mood for my next Sweet P doughnut

Great selection of baked treats. Try their Portuguese tarts. Frozen entrees are very handy to have in the freezer for quick dinners. Their chicken noodle soup was especially handy when the flu season set in.

Only had a few things. Cannolis are phenomenal. Pies are meh (canned filling.) Haven't tried anything else, so maybe the rating is off, but a bakery that doesn't make from scratch is a sticking point for me

Was told they make amazing donuts. Decided to stop by on my way to niagra and they where excellent. So good I was eating in line. Very good for bakery style donuts. Need to go back and try apple fritter .

Same as any other Sweet Paradise. Taste was good for the price. We picked some frozen food ...pasta meatballs and chicken pasta and both turned out good. Would go back and day and will recommend.

Cake was amazing!! Super delicious and worth the trip into Hamilton for it! Huge selection of treats and breads and everything. Definitely go here if you want something very mouthwatering.

Very typical Sunday at 2 and not one bun in the building..its called a bakery and their stock is always very low or nothing at all..this is why we end up shopping at grocery stores.
