Firstly, all Swift staff ticked 'pleasant' & 'polite' boxes. What follows isn't criticism of the individuals per se but understanding our experience will help choose for your pet. We landed as they do the out of hours for our vet. I explained Bumble’s problems & was transferred where I repeated it. I was told we’d need to wait 30 min to take her in as so busy. Hmm. Took a few minutes to get in & shown to consult room & waited. Young vet came in & explained yet again. She took Bumble out & came back while later to take notes. During that she was broken off to go elsewhere. Back about 10 mins but seemed more. During note taking she surmised about testing, potential treatments & costs. Truth is, we felt bombarded as with no formal diagnosis she seemed to be conditioning us to the potential costs involved & probing whether we were insured! We explained that dog had had recent bloods & nothing had been found but it was ignored. Focus solely on ongoing treatment at Swifts & all queries about how Bumble would be passed to our vets sidestepped. 1 of 1st things mentioned was that the 'evening', depending on what was administered, was estimated to cost us £1-1.5K & they needed 50% deposit before we left. Eventually fact we were not insured sank in. We insisted that & that if she was suffering she was to be let go as she was 14. Presented with 3 pages of paperwork to understand & sign. Aside from our details, focus was formal agreement to pay for whatever they deemed necessary & payment related issues. All this occurred happened over about 90mins & every time vet left consult room she locked the door. If felt more like double-glazing sales pitch! We eventually left at around 02:15 having paid £500. 4 hrs later same vet called as Bumble wasn't responding & to go in. Nurse bought her to us, explaining she’d come off oxygen, and said to "take our time with HIM" & then locked the door behind her. Bumble was in awful distress so within 60 secs I was banging on the door. I told nurse who came that she needed to be let go ‘now’ as she was suffering. The vet came 5 minutes later, more papers about cremation choices & costs, then she put her to sleep. Vet was genuinely upset at doing it & said sorry for our loss. When deed was done (just gone 07:10) we left through smiling owners & their pets. At 16:30 same day they chased final payment. When I called back they'd no details! Again payment was chased so I told her I’d pay when I had the invoice. Nothing about our loss. Next day they chased payment again. When I paid the final £96, I asked about her ashes. “Now the balance is paid the ashes will be collected & be ready in around 10 days.” The callous b4st4rds were holding our dead dog 'hostage' till they got their £96... I suspect their response to this will be something like, "We will retrain people". That’s ALWAYS the response of greedy, money grabbing businesses whose sole focus is their bank balance. Their employees are under intense pressure to deliver financial targets & I suspect this is why no one expresses normal human emotions. Our encounter with Swift was perfunctory with staff driven to operate in an almost inhumane manner. Not something any of us want for ourselves or our pets. Make up your own mind.

I’ve thought long and hard about this. I’ve just read all of the positive reviews and, yes, I’m not having the best day, but I have to do what I feel is right and offer some balance to all of the happy stories in the reviews as our experience was nothing like the others you will read. I can’t say this business is bad, but unfortunately, money is the driving motivation for this business. I have never known another business charge you a fee just to decide if your insurance is ‘good enough’ to cover the costs that will be incurred. This should have been a warning. Our basset hound has severe disc disease and I have to say the surgical intervention was excellent from what we can tell. Unfortunately that was the last positive memory I have of Ernie’s time at Swift. The advice we received was incomplete and unbalanced. We really were not given all of the facts to enable us to make the right decision. The aftercare was extremely lacking and it is really important to point out that they are simply a referral centre. They cannot and will not assist in rehabilitation or after care. It is all on you as an owner to navigate the greed and misinformation that exists in this industry. I realise that this is a very serious allegation so I do not take lightly the accusation that there are staff working here who are either incompetent or downright liars. We were told our boy was able to control his bowel and bladder. This was untrue. As you can see from the picture, he is wearing nappies a year later. They would get confused and miss things out. I had the worst weekend of my life when they discharged him early. Every day is still a struggle and despite many sessions of physio he still can’t even take a few steps. As it stands Ernie’s care has cost in excess of £11,500. He can stand just, he can’t walk, he pees without control, he isn’t even aware when he opens his bowels. He has no quality of life other than the happiness we do our best to offer him inside our home. This is not progress. It’s sad and it’s cruel. I’m sure Swift may have helped a number of animals. But it’s not always like this and you are completely on your own when it happens. Unfortunately unlike Yorkshire Vets who we were always happy with, having moved home, we have ended up with a poor practice who were also money driven and have done nothing to make Ernie better. But that’s a review for another day. I did raise many of the issues with the Practice Manager. She bothered to speak to me once after the early discharge. I never heard from her again. No one has shown the slightest interest in Ernie since he left Swift. I will be interested to hear what they have to say here publicly in reply. worldofvetinarary

We were referred to Swift at Wetherby after our dog Nell had a terrible cliff fall, resulting in some serious injuries. We were distraught, there was a good chance that our beautiful dog was going to die. She had unknown internal injuries, collapsed lung and a very badly broken thigh. We had been told by the original referring vets that she may have to lose her leg and that her injuries were as yet unknown, they prepared her for the journey. When we arrived at Wetherby, we were met by a team of people who were highly professional, sensitive and kind. It was explained to us that they would take Nell's care hour by hour, a step at a time and whilst being highly professional and not making any promises, they tried to offer us a degree of optimism. We appreciated this honesty as at this point we thought she would die from her injuries. We could call any time, we received updates, the communication was second to none. As the hours progressed, not only did they pull her through, but they stabilised her further so eventually she was operated on and her leg saved. They put our dog back together, but they not only saved Nell, they saved me too. She has been such an important part of my life this year and I was devastated I may lose her. We cannot praise them highly enough for their professional integrity, kindness and honesty. At every point we have been more than impressed, every visit we made to her, every phone call and subsequent appointment has been conducted with exactly the same professionalism. Nothing is too much trouble, no explanation is too much. We really appreciate everything they did. Nell continues to go from strength to strength. Thank you doesn't seem enough, but we thank them from the bottom of our hearts and cannot praise this team highly enough. We have no hesitation highly recommending this amazing centre.

My dog was refered for continuing issues with a conditioned called Immune Mediate Polyarthiritis (IMPA). Control of the issue was a problem, so we sought an Internal Medicine Specialist to help on my dogs case. We had seen vets, we needed an internal medicine specialist on his case. Initially they tried to book him into see an orthopedic specialist but after persuasion they assured me they had booked me into see there Internal Medicine Specialist (IMS). After paying £3,000 for tests based on the opinions of this IMS. He decided to conclude my dog doesn't have IMPA and advised to STOP his meds after a dramatic 50% taper for 1 week- advising my dog is healthy. This is not in line with any traditional handling of medication tapers for dogs with Immune issues. My dog relapsed and the IMS refused to accept he relapsed. Refusing contact from myself and other vets on Arkles team- saying Arkle needs to see an Orthopedic specialist. Shortly after it came to my attention the vet i saw was not an internal medicine specialist!! A vet qualified in certificate of internal medicine only. Not the same as an IMS, nor a resident nor in training. I had been mislead on qualifications of who I was seeing, something that initially they apologized for, but retracted later. I would not have paid money for a staff member not qualified to handle my dogs complex case. You expect a referral centre to have specialists. This is a general and basic expectation. There was a complete lack of understanding of my dogs medical issues , no follow up support, and my dog came away more ill then he arrived due to poor advice. Edited to add: Their reply says it all. Not interested then- not interested now. Funnily enough their defense is that a taper should take 4-6 months. So they must agree a week taper is not acceptable.

Cannot praise Stuart and his team highly enough. From our initial consultation they have been professional and compassionate. You are left in no doubt that the welfare of your animal is at the forefront of all they do. Having had negative experiences with another ortho practice I was reluctant to entrust my dog to their care but Swift have been amazing. From first contact they have been fantastic. Everyone from the reception staff, to the nurses and surgeons have been supportive and helpful at every stage. Nothing is too much trouble. My vet was so impressed that Swifts is now her preferred Ortho Referral service. Lily is a Leonberger cross and a big girl. Having been diagnosed with HD at an early age we always knew that Total Hip Replacement was required. Stuart talked us through the procedure and answered all our questions honestly. Due to her size there was an increased risk of complications but she came through the procedure amazingly well. She came home within 24 hours supporting almost all of her own weight. My sister; a veterinary nurse of 30 years had come to lend a hand with her recovery. She was VERY impressed with the surgical site and Lily's overall demeanour. My sister is not easily impressed and if there was fault to be found she would of found it. She even admitted that she would allow her own dog to be treated at Swift. High praise indeed!! Lily has gone from strength to strength and has just had her 7 week post op xrays. She is healing well and she should make a full recovery. She will need another THR on the other side in 6 months. I will not hesitate to entrust Lily to their care again. They have been amazing. You cannot put your animal into safer hands. I cannot thank them enough.

I could not recommend Swift Referrals highly enough. My labrador Vince was referred to swift with severe bilateral hip dysplasia so we decided to proceed with bilateral total hip replacements while he is still young and able to be the goon that he is! The vet nurses, vets and surgeon Stuart Cooke not only gave my precious boy VIP treatment, they were endlessly kind and patient when I was so desperately anxious and terrified of breaking him! They put you at ease while always being honest and factual. They answer any questions with facts and compassion, no matter how neurotic and silly it is! Their admin and response to emails is always amazingly efficient and they give you all the information rather than reserving bits of it for the regular vet and keeping it from you. They were on the end of the phone 24/7 and were able to advise me with everything from pain management to keeping him calm in the crate and everything else that you can imagine. Even a year on from his most recent hip replacement, they are still happy for me to keep in touch with progress and with worries and any follow up x rays etc are included in the original price. Vince has progressed amazingly since his hip replacements. He used to lie like a mermaid whenever lying down and now he doesn't do that anymore and has been much more able to gain muscle, as his stamina has gone up massively. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Vince loves them and I'm so thrilled with what they've done for us. Choosing them for my boy is the second best thing I ever did (the first being adopting Vince!)

I couldnt recommend this place more!!! I was referred here for my baby boys over night BOAS surgery. I was SUPER scared and anxious as hes never been under anesthesia. His surgeon Jonathan reassured me but gave me realistic information needed. He spotted my boys struggle to breathe instantly. Unfortunately my baby had every worse case scenario that Jonathan mentioned and he was with Swift for 2 weeks. The staff sent daily photos of him which i LOVED. Being away from him for so long was hard, so this helped ALOT. I used to call 3-4 times a day to check up on my boy and the staff never made me feel like i was a burden (which at times, im sure i was). They where all kind and caring and always reassured me. They did everything for my little dramatic boys recovery and thankfully i got the phone call to pick him up. But it didnt stop there, He got sick again and they didnt hesitate to readmit him for a few more days. He came home again and the staff still to this day deal with my Phone calls, Emails and videos of questions regarding his recovery. I truely applaud ALL the staff at this clinic. They go above and beyond what i could have ever expected. I thank each and everyone of you for the help in getting my precious baby boy back to me as healthy as to be expected after what hes been through... Oh and hes no longer scared of the vets lol, so thank you for that.

If I could give zero stars I would. The emphasis here is all about how much money they can make. I felt pressured to proceed with the procedure. I had no time to consider what was being said or what it all meant. I was called at 9pm and told he needed surgery. Our beautiful boy died after his procedure. We went to collect him. We had to ask to speak to the vet to try and understand what had happened. We drove for over an hour in complete shock we were not offered so much as a glass of water. We were not given an explanation that was satisfactory we were told it could have been this or that or the other no straight answers. We then had to carry our boy out through the main reception where other people were coming in to the building with their pets one person had to help hold the door open for us none of the staff made any attempt to help us. The receptionist just sat there laughing on the phone. I accept there are risks and possible complications with any surgery what I don't accept is the lack of compassion and empathy. The sign above the door says it all "don't forget to pay before you leave"

Due to an accident our family border terrier was referred to swifts from park hill vets. Bailey is six months old when she had this accident. The staff from the receptionist to the vet were truly top professionals. I could not thank them enough for what they have done for Bailey who had two operations. Bailey will go on to make a full recovery which considering we the owners did think putting her down was the only and best option. But both staff from park hill vets and swift were confident of the outcome from the operation Bailey had. Fracture to the pelvis four broken ribs, puncture to the lungs and broken front left shoulder which had come out of socket. Bailey is now home and is back to her normal self albeit in a dog cage till everything heals properly.Im sure swift will post some picture of this possitive out come and show all animal lovers what potentially be done . So once again from the Senior family and Bailey a massive thanks to all who helped Bailey you are a credit to your profession merry Xmas and a happy new to all see you in January

Just returned home from here with our baby springer spaniel, after being referred for knee surgery. Where to start?...our experience has been positive right from the initial phone call! Every member of staff I’ve dealt with has been great, the ladies on reception were friendly, professional and informative, and made our insurance claim a doddle. The nurses kept me regularly updated with progress reports, and even sent an email with a lovely picture of her, which I thought was a really lovely personal touch. The lovely vet Alister, examined our girl in less than 24hrs of being referred from our vets in Middlesbrough, (Id say that was Super Swift), and it was certainly worth the drive, he was so informative about problem with her knee, and thoroughly explained the surgery, I left her feeling completely confident that she was in good hands. The staff all made me feel at ease and reassured during a difficult time, which I think I really important when our beloved pets are poorly. I’d definitely recommend Alister and Team Swift. Thank you all!

Very expensive M.R.I failed to diagnose what was wrong with our dog Alfie. Yet was offered another M.R.I scan claiming steroids could of masked what was wrong. Different vets different options. Within hours of leaving hospital became very ill. Confusion over what was causing illness. Looking back maybe undetected cushions disease. Nurses who looked after Alfie fantastic loving and caring. Today we lost our beautiful bichion Alfie. He was such a brave little dog who loved life and fought until the end. No one replied to this review. No complaint proceedure on web site. Requested notes another dogs name on Alfie notes. Tests carried out not enough samples taken to do tests. This was 19 days after been referred and 4 days before having to have Alfie put to sleep. I and my family are devastated. Still waiting for my emails to be answered. Way too upsetting to return to the practice in person. Left with loads of unswered questions. Alfie notes and records not making any sense.

Sadly we noticed our dog had an issue with his back leg and couldn’t walk. We took him to our usual vets who advised he had a spiral injury & needed to be referred to swift. We was told the diagnosis fee would be £3500 & half would have to be paid upfront. And if he needed surgery it would be £8500. We couldn’t make the decision straight away as that was a lot of money. And the surgery may have not even worked and it wasn’t guaranteed. We made the heartbreaking and very difficult decision to have our Hugo put to sleep. However been pestered and rang and chased up by them didn’t help the situation. They even rang for the 4th time & said oh did you decide to go somewhere else then until we told them we had had to let him go. I think this situation could have been dealt with with much more consideration towards us in a very difficult time rather than been very pushy on us to make a quick decision.

We were referred to Swift in July 2021 following our dogs diagnosis of diabetes which at the time, despite many things done by our current vet, we just weren't able to get the diabetes under control. We saw Rory Bell who was amazing. He explained what they did and why and we were always given more than enough time for our appointments to get all our questions answered. Unfortunately for us, despite the tremendous efforts of Rorys expertise, our Bella didn't make it and was pts in October 2021 due to severe complications with her diabetes. As a family we were, and still are heartbroken however we live in the knowledge that because of Rory and his team, we did everything we could to save Bella and that helps ease the pain. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Swift to anyone needing specialist help and support with their animals' illnesses. (Pictures are of Bella before she became ill)

Our boy started having seizures and was referred to these as a matter of urgency. Swift is the other side of the country to us, but they were able to take our boy on the same day the alarm bells were ringing. They were thorough with identifying what the issue was, and went above and beyond to ensure the little guy was getting the right level of care and treatment to get him back on track to hopefully live out many more years. They had our little sausage for over a week and provided daily updates and pictures. We've just got the little man back yesterday when writing this, and although we're in an experimental phase of his recovery, Swift has ensured us and our local vets that they will support and provide guidance for such a complex condition. We can't thank them enough for all their efforts. Thanks again Swift Referrals.

  • Stewart Lowery

The Swift referrals team from front desk to the Veterinary Surgeons and nurses are professional with a personal touch. The communication and personal touch of all the team is first class, making us feel at ease with the process our Dog Ozzy would be going through and the care he would be getting from the Swift team during his stay with them. During the time Ozzy was with Swift we were always kept up to date with his progress and were always spoken to with respect and compassion as Swift knew how worried we were. After Ozzy was discharged Swift have kept in touch regarding his progress and general health, my wife and I cannot thank the whole Swift team for all they have done, and recommend this practice for anyone who may be seeking advice or treatment for their pet.

We were reffered to swift Referrals by our local vet in Durham when lenny our old tyme english bulldog was looking weak on his back legs at only only 1yr old, we couldn't of been reffered to a better practice, the whole team from top to bottom were100% professional, lenny had deformaties in the growth of his leg bones which constantly had his kneecaps dislocated also causing other problems, a huge operation involving cutting and removing bone then adding metal replacements was undertaken and 6 weeks after lenny is walking and running again, his leg is getting stronger everyday. we can't be anymore happier and grateful for the help and ongoing after care and support for lenny and ourselves that we have been receiving from the whole team at swift Referrals.

Swift referrals are very professional, efficient and good communicators, my puppy (English Springer Spaniel) came in to see Rory as an emergency with a sore neck, high fever and loss of appetite, they managed to get hold of the fever in less than 24hrs! We had constant contact with Rory and his team, them calling every morning giving us an update on how our boy was doing. After 6 nights, we had a diagnosis of meningitis and a treatment plan that he was responding well to. He is now at home and improving each day with the medicine he was sent home with. I cannot recommend Swift Referrals enough! I am so grateful for everything they have done for us, without them my boy probably wouldn’t be here today. Thank you so much Rory & the Swift Referrals team.

Special thanks, my 1-year old dog Odin was referred by Forrest House Veterinarian. Odin was diagnosed with a torn ACL and needed surgery, which is known asTPLO plate. I was devastated that my baby Odin had to undergo surgery. Swift Referrals where very professional and compassionate when explaining in detail Odins procedure. The surgery went very well, so much so, Odin wanted to go about his normal activities in just a week. I was very surprised. Veterinary surgeon Alasdair Frost, nurses and staff did an amazing job! Who knew, the most difficult part of all this was keeping a puppy from restricted exercise for 8 weeks. I highly recommend Swift Referrals for anyone needing orthopaedic surgery for their dog. Many thanks E. Brande-Ryan & Family.

Swift run the out of hours service for my normal vets based in Wetherby - I phoned them on a Saturday afternoon and they saw my dog as fast as I could get her there after she had ingested some poison. The care was super and they kept me informed as she had to stay in overnight. The bill was much less than quoted and they put the claim straight into my insurers on my behalf so I could be repaid quickly. I hope to not need their services again anytime soon however knowing my youngest dog it will probably be in the not too distant future ! Thanks for taking such good care of her and making sure she is still around - I love her enormously despite her penchant for dog suicide. Maybe I shouldn't have called her Kamikaze ‍♀️

  • Maria F

Was referred to, following our dogs sudden loss of ability to use his back legs. Stressful times, bank holiday weekend too. Was given an initial examination, made aware of the most likely diagnosis but told a MRI scan would be needed to make a accurate diagnosis. Following the MRI scan, it was confirmed that he had a ruptured disc in his spine, which was creating a compression of his spinal cord. An operation quickly followed, then hospitalisation, physio followed. The team rang us every morning, we rang every night, a brilliant rapport developed and following the initial physio, we got him back. Pain free and starting to build up his back legs again, Still in touch for advice, thanks Swift's

Just been for consultation with Stuart Cook. All I can say is fantastic. My dog was referred to have a hip replacement and I was very concerned about the whole thing. During the consultation everything was explained and it was clear that the dogs welfare came first. The consultant advised that a hip replacement was not the best thing at the moment but put a plan in place to monitor the situation. I left feeling very confident with the consultation and the plan for my dog. This sort of help is not cheap so don't go into this thinking about pounds and pence the dog come first. In my opinion I recommend Swift Referrals.

  • Izzy Thomas

I can’t thank Swift referrals enough for all they have done. My baby girl was referred by our local vet as she needed an emergency operation to fix her broken tibia. We took her straight there and within 5 minutes of being there the specialist orthopaedic vet came and explained everything to us about the surgery and was very re assuring. He made me feel very comfortable that my baby (5 months old) was looked after properly. He rang me straight after the surgery to say it was successful and that she was okay. I’m so happy with the service that we have received in ensuring that our baby is now happy and healthy again.

  • Mike Stephenson

We had our dachshund referred here from Yorkshire vets. We was told he needed a MRI and most likely a operation resulting in thousands of pounds to claim. Swift were brilliant in handling the insurance side of things and the vet we saw (Bob) was a True gentleman and honest. He told us he didn’t need a MRI and only a CT scan which is far cheaper and assured us he didn’t need a operation and just strict rest. This meant the cost was far lower and the worry of our dogs health was a lot less. For that I truly recommend this place for a honest and professional opinion for their pets health.

  • Valerie Thompson

This is the best vet hospital I have ever used in 30 years of owning dogs the vets are on another level from walking in to walking out every time plus the service you get when your home they are there day or night it is not cheap but worth every single penny if you love your animal I would go to swift every single time we drive 3 hour round trip and we would drive further our baby boy is getting looked after like a king by all the staff you get updates all the time you get to talk to your vet in person or by email everyone is so good there thank you all so much . Brooky Steven's mummy.

Took my cat as an emergency on bank holiday Monday was told to come almost straight away I was greeted by the lovely receptionist we were not waiting long to see the vet Steven who was lovely very gentle and compassionate with Lilly and told us what options we had we ended up having Lilly put to sleep I cannot fault the service we received the receptionist put me in another room to compose myself she was wonderful I have today received Lillys paw prints which was a wonderful thought thankyou so much for the compassion shown to both myself and Lilly

  • Ian Falloon

Our lovely Westie, Dexter, was placed in the care of Swift Referrals but unfortunately his ailment proved to be terminal. During the short period of time that Dexter was under their supervision he received the utmost professional attention and expertise. We were kept fully informed of the situation as it unfolded, and received detailed analysis of the test results. We always wanted the best for our lovely boy, and the service he received from Swift Referrals helped us provide him with that until the very end.

  • Emma Eustace

Our experience at swift couldn't have been better! The staff were amazing and friendly from start to finish. Lawrence the vet was so lovely and he listened to everything we had to say. We received a phone call as soon as our Nala had her Echocardiogram with the results and a full plan of what they suggested we do next. Despite Nala being a very stressed cat and how much she hates the vets - she came home very happy and unfazed by the whole thing. Thanks team!

  • Lizzie (Liz)

A big thankyou to all at swift referrals, scooby came in beginning of the year to have his leg operation due to his growth bone which caused him to be lame and often limped after walks and could not run, here he is enjoying his favourite game of ball, he's now able to run without limbing afterwards. And best of all he is no longer in pain after exercise! He is now enjoying full activities thankyou again and all staff was amazing with the care they gave to scooby

  • Julie

Absolutely disgusting service to say I am disappointed is an understatement. My dog was referred for an MRI. 3 times the appointment was cancelled at short notice as the machine was either broke or the vet was on a training course. I was referred to this practice as they had the quickest appointment available. I have wasted 7 weeks and my dog could have been seen by now by a local practice. When you have a poorly dog this is the last thing you need

  • Danielle Cotton

I would highly recommend swift referrals to anyone. They were great with my dog and after care was outstanding. Very caring and compassionate. I felt at ease leaving my doggie with them knowing she was in good hands. They are spotlessly clean and my holly came back with no horrible kennel smell. Whenever I ran for a update or advice they got back to me straight away. Amazing staff and amazing service. Thank yous all for what you done for my holly.

  • Elizabeth Crosland

They are amazing. My dog Jacki was referred by Beechwood Vets of Crossgates Leeds. It was a choice of a specialist vet or put to sleep. They tell you exactly what chance your pet has of survival. For Jacki it wasn't good. They keep you informed every step of the way and are very kind and caring. 5 plus. Can't thank them enough. Four weeks later Jacki is back to normal and when I left her I thought I would never see her alive again. Amazing.

  • Colette Appleyard

Swift is our out of hours emergency vet who we had to use recently to help our elderly Jack Russel Skip who needed putting to sleep in the early hours. The Vet was amazingly kind and caring at such a difficult time for us. We also had one of our other dogs visit overnight earlier this year. We were kept up to date with his situation and what treatment was required throughout his stay. We feel happy knowing they are there for any emergencies.

  • Alex Stubbs

AMAZING is the only word I can use for these guys! We dropped our border collie puppy off on Thursday for hip replacement due to hip dysplasia, we went to pick her up today. All of the staff have been absolutely incredible! they updated us regularly , didn’t mind us calling to check in, treated her so well and took us through everything step by step including what to do when we get home. We can’t thank you enough and neither can Theia!

  • caroline sarah taylor

Very efficient, very professional care. Swift were able to take our dog when no one else seemed to have capacity. From the first person we spoke to on the telephone, through the vets and nurses, to all the staff we dealt with - we had nothing but polite and compassionate care. We were very lucky and our dog's condition turned out to not be as serious as it looked - and still they were thorough and careful. Thank you so much.

  • Bsrru Stephenson

Cannot speak highly enough of the team at swift. Especially Shona the vet who has done a remarkable job with our poorly little pooch. Excellent service and really nice people. Nurses reception team and vets . All so lovely, wish I could make them my regular veterinary clinic but alas they are a referral clinic and do an excellent job. Big hugs and thanks from all of us and a special thank you from Bridie the pooch

  • Filip Jaszczak

As a veterinary professional myself i have used Swift Referrals since they have opened and I'm very satisfied with the service. I have asked my clients for feedback after they gave been referred and it has been excellent. Good, easily approachable team with great knowledge and experience between them. I have known the surgeons for several years and i have excellent opinion and trust in their professional skills

What can I say, we took our very poorly pup here to find answers to some difficult health problems and were greeted with the kindness and sympathy it deserved. Nobody made us feel pressured and no "extra" examinations were carried out, only what was needed. They are referral only but if you're in a position where your regular vet needs some specialist advice then I can't recommend Swift highly enough.

They were very friendly and helpful with looking after Tigger who had been hit and left at the side of the road someone found him and took to Swift vets. They checked his chip and then phoned me. He had a broken right leg and due to his age had to be put to sleep. I would like to thank the staff and the lady who found him and took him down to the vets which is about 15 miles away.

Excellent service. Our cat Thomas was taken ill suddenly. We took him straight to Swift where he was seen immediately and kept in for a few days. We were given regular updates and knew exactly what was happening. Unfortunately we didn’t get to bring him home but all the staff were absolutely amazing and we knew Thomas was well looked after.

Swift referrals is the only place I use, as a veterinary professional myself, to refer my patients to and recently when my personal pet, cat named Czesiek, had a problem, for which he needed specialist care, Swift referrals was the first and only place I wanted to take him to. If you are thinking about using their services hesitate no more.

  • wend batch

No real experience but being local once phoned them about a half dead rabbit that appeared on our driveway. Drop it round, we'll deal with it, they said. Couple of months later, an injured bird appeared on our driveway. Ah ha! I knew who to call. But nope, not interested. So guess rabbit was lucky ... or unlucky.
