MESS ! So I decided to share my last experience on this place went to the store to purchase some stuff also bring back a dress that I bought from this store a week ago , after wait a long time to get into the cashier , i give her the dress to return with RECEIPT AND TAG and told her to put the money of the returned dress into some of my new purchases. When this cashier have the audacity to tell me LOWER that the tag no belong to the dress an also the RECEIPT NO match with the item .... so she need to ask her manager name Jen what to do about .. and for my surprise she came back saying that the her manager said they TJ max doesn't sell this brand so I immediately ask her to talk to this manager that was CALL ME A LIER and the cashier keep sLower WE don't seand this brand the ticket nor amatch the tag isn't of this dressI need to see other customers the line is getting longer ....so I said I'm not going anywhere until this get resolved!!!!!! She call the manager name Jen several times on the store microphone and she finally said she's not coming on the front of the store if you want you can wait for STACEY the other manager that's coming from the lunch .. long storie short Stacey show up 25 minutes and figure out all out that the RECEIPT MATCH THE TAG BELONG TO THE DRESS and the store for sure sell the brand !!!!!!!! She apologized for the " confusion" and inconvenient and finalized the transaction.

I always shop jewelry at this particular store on Atlantic Blvd..mostly the the women on jewelry recognize me. I picked up a ring and the spanish sales lady notice that it does not have a prize. She went to the office and a black lady came out and start talking to other customer then sold customer a purse where the jewelry dept. The spanish sales lady kept on saying that the black lady is the manager and will help me. The black lady mgr. looked at me and ignored what the spanish lady was saying kept on talking to the woman to the extend that their conversation went to she knows a person working there and the black lady called her on the phone and heard her saying "she want to see you but probably you don't want to see her." Then a lady came and she recognize me and she starts talking to me. Then she went to the cashiers. Then finally the black lady ack oledge me and she said " i have to put a prize on this. I jokingly said probably I will get a discount since I waited so long. She answered in a sarcastic voice " you should come back on Mondays. That left bad taste in my mouth. She went to the cashiers and I was looking at what she was doing and she again was talking to everyone on the floor and I started to go up to her and she hurried up back inside the jewelry and after she ring me up I ask for her name.

This Is a complaint for management not for the individual employees. The individual employees are wonderful and they try their best. They deserve a chair to sit on. They deserve livable wages and health insurance. Management at this store has them understaffed and overworked. I don’t know any of the employees personally but I did try to buy something today during my lunch hour. I work nearby. I wasted my entire lunch period waiting in line to check out ONE SINGLE ITEM and after waiting in line for 27 minutes I had to leave. I was only two people away from being checked out but thats a ridiculous wait time for one single item. Maybe if you offered them decent pay then the positions would be easier to staff and the registers could actually be used for checkout. I’ve gone into this store a thousand times and I’ve never seen a cashier at every register. There is usually only 1 register open. Now I’m going to buy my item online and have it delivered to my home instead of driving up and waiting in that ridiculous line again.

03/01/19 6:30pm TJ Maxx at Kernan Square in Jacksonville, FL has wonderful items in the jewelry but if you are African American, you can forget getting help unless you stand there waving your arms begging for help. It has never failed. After standing there over 20 minutes, no one came over. I called the front desk to send help, I waited, as soon as a young caucasian couple walks up and starts to look in the counter, help arrives and immediately goes over to them... and they don’t even say she’s was standing here first. But wouldn’t the correct thing for the clerk to have done was ask “who’s next”? The clerk told me when I spoke up “you should’ve said something”... OMG , I didn’t see her walk up. The really sad part is, this happens so often in this particular location, that I had stopped coming here and I couldn’t remember why. ‍♀️I remember now and I’m done.

This is my neighborhood TJ Maxx it is always so clean and organized always find something and even more. Now with that being said I went yesterday and as i was going thru the racks I seen this 2 young ladies marking down or doing something like that and this lady called Mrs Jean (their boss or coworker) approached them and said really loud to them: You have to spread up and pick up to do your production or productivity and I felt so bad for not saying anything at the time but It did bother me the fact that if you have to say something about their performance just pull them aside but don’t embarrassed them in front of customers. You can tell they were embarrassed. I’m sorry!

I purchased a pair of Kenneth Cole sandals and within 3 weeks the glue that holds the straps came completely unglued. My first attempt to exchange them went unsuccessful due to not having my receipt, my bad... So I retrieved my receipt and hattempted to exchange my sandals, only to be turned down. The store manager L. Zambrana told me that she would not return or exchange the item cause I had worn the product. I asked if the stood behind their products and manufacturing defects and she informed me they do not. Why didn't she tell me that the first time I attempted to exchange my sandals and what good business doesn't stand behind the products they sell!?!

It's good if you don't plan to go in for something very specific in mind. A genral catagory like "a pencil skirt with a pattern" or "new skincare" will turn up a lot of great finds if you're willing to hunt a little bit, whereas searching for a bite lipstick in a specific shade will probably leave you dissapointed. The makeup section is pretty picked over and a lot of the outer packaging is damaged, but of the couple lipsticks I checked seemed unswatched and new otherwise. The skincare section always turns up some interesting finds.

Place way to crowded. Not enough staff. The check out was wrapped around to almost the furniture isle. Manager standing there doing nothing but watching. Jewelry counter empty. Other employees working doing there thing on floor. 0 back up. Why not I must ask. I put my clothes back. Ridiculous in my opinion. I stood and watched for about ten minutes. The girls behind the counter working as slow as they could. Any slower they would stop moving. Not greeting customers. . I just have one question. Does anyone have a work ethic anymore.?

This place had good stuff time to time and can get messy because it is busy all the time, but the line gets way too long. However it’s a hit or miss with employees at the register. Some can be nice on a good day but today a man with long hair at working with register didn’t even talk or look at me. He only used his hand gestures to call me over to his register. Other than that there wasn’t any interaction.

Came to find Dr Bronner's Castle Soap (which is EXCELLENT for your skin), but couldn't find it ;however, I did find the luxury handmade bar soaps made in Italy, England and Portugal...Rose Hip oil (Nourish Organic). I love natural and organic products. TJ Maxx is a great place to find nearly everything...and this one is huge. Don't just take my word for it, go to a TJ Maxx and check it out for yourself.

Hit or miss like any other place similar to this, but today was a hit. Depending on what you're looking for, they have a lot!!! I gave it 4/5 because most of what they have is for women, but they do have a small section for men, even though MOST of that section is for young men. They have a small selection men's pants and some shirts, bit other than that, I would say it's for boys under 15-16 years old.

If I could give no stars that would be fine. I was treated badly and I would never step foot in there again. The lady forgot to give me correct change & let’s just say after it was all said & done her register was over 40.86 my exact change. No apology besides from a cashier that wasn’t even helping me checkout. Every person of color aren’t thief’s etc sold of us actually work hard for our money.

They have a little bit of everything you could need. The clearance sections are messy, but if you dig around, you can find some pretty good deals. I wish the cosmetics shelves were a little bit cleaner, though. I usually have to triple check to make sure the product hasn't been opened or used before I buy it. I see a lot of fingerprints all over those products.

Poor planning for a Sunday. The line of customers waiting to check out wraps around twice and goes all the way to the men's department and only two cashiers checking out. Waited close to 30 min in line. Definitely not the cashier's fault but management not assessing the traffic and reallocating staff that is available in the store.

Very well stocked and organized. I love the selection in the skin care and makeup section. I can always find a good deal here. I think they need to improve on their baby clothes selection, they do not have a lot of cute clothes or a great variety as Iv seen at other Tjmaxx. Check out line moved fast and staff was very friendly.

This store is a mess. I heard of of the associate was complaining about short stuff every day. Less money n not enough employees. Everything is off the floor. Too many stuff on the beauty, women dresses r big miss. I don’t recommend this store, one more thing one of the managers was alone in that big store, r u serious??

Still no place to try on clothes. Not a bad selection I do use the store regularly but it's tough when you constantly have to dodge the workers. it would be polite of them to step back to let you pass rather than you have to go around while they pass. Just saying. The young lady I had to check out was delightful though

I love the bargains. The quality is superb and the prices are terrific. Special items are easy to find, the store is well organized and the cashiers are friendly and helpful. They have very interesting home goods and great face creams and hairsprays in addition to the lovely clothes. I always come back.

It was a good experience overall. They helped me with the returns exceeding 1month duration. There wasn’t much variety in the products. Make up section was messed up. Home section products were faulty. We looked at 10 dustbins and not one of them was perfect. They were all faulty ( dents, faulty lids)

It's ok, carries decent brands at 30-65% off. I get my dog toys and treats here, sweaters when on sale. Jackets and nice sweaters range from 25-70 bucks. Lots of Michael kors purses, jewelry is over priced tho and can be found much cheaper on eBay. Good for stocking stuffers! Overall 4 stars.

It's not as good as it used to be. They used to have tons more to choose from with way better prices. I guess Because it's Christmas time everything has already been picked through. They had no clearance purses & their clearance shoes were just as expensive if more than other shoe stores.

My experience was good up until the register there was a lady next to me who trying to do a return or exchange I am not sure I noticed they were treating her really disrespectfully What made it worse was when the lady left they were talking about her That made me feel very uncomfortable

Nice store.....but I haven't been in a couple years to a TJ maxx ....they really don't have much for you if a plus size. They have it dwindled to just one full aisle/rack of 16w to 28w. This is what Marshall's did until they phased out all plus sizes. Now I know why I stopped going.

Great products in Housewares but... Was extremely disappointed that their were not ANY plus clothes at all. Then a team member said they were carrying that size anymore. If that's the case, size discrimination, I won't purchase any of needs for my 4 vacation rentals.

Name brand items discounted. I like the bath section. The clothes section has a good variety.thet also sell shoes and luggage. There is T.K. Maxxi. Europe which is the same thing. They have dressing rooms and you can get a small amount of specialty foods.

This store is usually crowded on weekends so expect that. It's otherwise pretty typical for the brand. This one does seem to feel less "picked over" than most even at busy times so the staff do a good job of keeping the shelves stocked.

I could literally give this place zero stars if I wanted to. I ordered a bikini and when it arrived, I only received one slip of paper that I'm assuming is the receipt. What a scam! I was tricked out of $40. Never shopping here again.

My favorite place to go! Found a pair of flip flops for $9.99. Great deal. I couldn't find decent flip flops for less than $20 anywhere else and I went to multiple places. Cashier was so nice and personable. I can't remember his name.

One star would be a lot but I have to give it to be able to comment. The manager is super demeaning to me when he saw that I was Latin, he treated me very badly, he didn't let me speak. If you want a bad experience, go to that store.

Nice selection of everything! Although there were tons of staff on the floor at 11am and only 2 cashiers with a line of people. I thought they stocked up over night. It was just the longest I've waited in line at any TJmaxx store.

It's a clean TJ Maxx for the most part but their selection isn't the greatest. I think I've found maybe one item there that I actually spent money on. If they had a good selection for men's clothes they would probably be a 4 or 5.

Visiting the Maxx on vacation. Didn't pack the comfortable cool clothing I should have for such a hot state. But I love it there. Found two cool outfits in the TJMaxx. Thanks, I always find nice merchandise in any of your stores.

No matter the time or the day the line to check out is always backed up!! The cashiers have no sense of urgency. I always find cute stuff here but I always end up leaving it because I hate waiting in line ‍♀️ …

Why wait for a sale? This is your one stop shop for brand names with sale prices without the crowds. Many items are still selling at the department stores, but they are already discounted here. More bang for your buck.

Great selection of new stuff....lots on clearance. BUT !! Very Few Jean type women's pants available;most were summery lightweight loose rather than straight leg jeans in good summer weights and shades.

Young lady that assist me at the jewelry desk was wonderful. She took her time and also made suggestions on what would work better. She sold me the perfect Michael Kors watch for men. Very pleasant.

I literally found nothing that I was willing to buy. I mostly saw overpriced items that appear to have been marked up and then "discounted' to about what they cost retail anyway. Hugely unimpressed.

Shopping here is a pleasure and I can spend hours in this place. Very affordable prices and a wide variety of options for home decor, branded clothes, perfumes, shoes, luggage, gifts, you name it.

Not much of my choice.. Lots of merchandise in departments.. Checking out was fast..Parking was easy.. T.J. Max was one of my favorite stores and still is..Sometimes I hit some times I miss..

There are a lot of interesting things that can be found here. The places is a little messy from sloppy customers. Hopefully, they will be a little more proactive in keeping the place neater.

You can always find a deal if you look hard enough. You just don't know what it may be. Staff is very helpful. Clean bathrooms, to me that shows the staff care about their place of business.

The first men's dressing room can be opened from outside (locked inside). Reported to the lady who's in charge of the dressing rooms but she's like I'm sorry but we won't fix that.

They are fully staffed, the problem is, the employees are to busy talking to each other instead of caring for the customers. They need to get it together. Our time is valuable.

It could be this location...University Blvd...but not a huge selection of items. Definitely overpriced for the quality. I went nextdoor to Beall's and got more for my buck.

Always THE place to find great deals and unique merchandise, especially holiday decor. The staff is super nice, but usually too busy to assist with questions on the floor.

Selections have definitely taken a hit since reopen during the pandemic. Everyone is always friendly but that is definitely frustrating.

Seemed a little sparsely-furnished although the prices are ok. Staff seemed busy, so merchandise availability will like increase.
