Belinda the hiring manager is clearly a RACIST!! The way she treated my mom and myself was definitely dismissive. On 09/08/2023 I went into the store on San Jose as I always do at any TJMAXX and my first stop was the jewelry counter. Belinda was assisting other customers but she walked right pass without saying anything or acknowledging me and my mother. She could have least said I’ll be with you in one second but she looked us right in the face and kept walking. I decided to walk away because I didn’t want to let my emotions get the best of me and I wanted to respond in a way that wouldn’t make me look bad. I went to the shirts area which was right across from the counter. Like 3 minutes later another lady walked over and yes she was caucasian, but as soon as that lady got to the counter she asked her if she wanted to look at something and the lady said yes then she said give me a second I’m finishing up with some customers and I’ll be right over. She could have easily said the same thing to us but she chose not to. I thought for a second that I could have been overreacting, but she did the same thing to the next customer that was black. She saw those ladies looking and didn’t say anything to them, she just starting hanging up clothes, so I went and asked her did she work at the jewelry department and her response was that she worked everywhere and then I said well I’m sure those people at the counter need help then she walked over. I’m saying all of this to say I spend a lot of money in T.J.MAXX and if this is the type of things they support I will gladly take my money elsewhere. I will also spread the word on all platforms because everyone needs to know if they do. I don’t support racism and she needs to realize that black people have money too. If she can’t help ALL people then she needs to find another job.

The lady at the jewelry, Tiffany is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was the only customer and I wanted to make a purchase at the jewelry section since I was getting an item from there, and she yelled at me in a very low manner to go pay at the long line at the main register. She saw that I have an infant and I am in a hurry, and still was very disrespectful to me. This is not the first time she acts this way, I am surprised how TJ Maxx hires people who take out their frustration on customers, please take this feedback constructively and avoid this location.

This location has had their A/C broken for at least a month. The first time we noticed, it wasn’t a big deal because we assumed they were working hard to fix it but it’s been a month since then and it’s so hot in the store. We couldn’t stay for very long because it was so hot and stuffy. I’m very concerned about the employees who work there because it is over 80 degrees in the store and with no air circulation, the employees are forced to work in an extremely unhealthy environment.

They refused to accept the shoes we bought from them, saying that they were worn, but that's not true, when I bought these shoes they were in the same condition, I think many people tried them on in the store, so they could say that they were worn, it's not fair. The cashier at the checkout was rude and argued with me. It is a pity that we are regular customers and we have never had any problems. I don't think we'll be back.

The A/C has been turned off for over a month. This leads to a terrible customer experience. All the other buildings have A/C so not quite sure why you all don't. Other than that the store is great. The employees are absolute heros for working in that humid, sweltering building. Absolutely shocking working conditions. If I worked there I'd sue for sure. Shame on you guys.

Many great selections at this store, from clothing, accessories, jewelry and decor! It was my first time at this location and I wasn’t disappointed. The decor section has many different styles, and they have a bunch of Christmas decoration options as well! It was very well organized, with a very stillness environment with extremely helpful and friendly employees!

Good selection of items, but some of the clothes they have for sale have holes in them. Lots of seasonal items and the store was clean. The attendant at the dressing room was a bit rude however. Went in at 1PM. She ignored me while I was entering and then yelled at me for not having a number tag when I was walking out. I was never offered one in the first place.

Omg it is so hot in there. Uncomfortable to shop. Issue has been since early summer. I realize it is a landlord issue…. But where as I used to love shopping in there and was easily a every week shopper… I dread it lately and have been avoiding this location and shopping elsewhere

Forever finding great buys here, most of the other stores are usually cleaned out, you can’t find any of their new products but this store is laid out beautifully and well kept up, especially with stocking.
