It makes me mad that this store allows dogs. Not just service dogs, but all dogs. It's disgusting, people pet them and then touch the clothing on the racks, & then other people like my wife & I, who are ALLERGIC to dogs, touch the clothes and get sick. It's disgusting and INCONSIDERATE that no one thinks about the feelings or consequences of people who are ALLERGIC or VERY ALLERGIC to dogs. This is one of the most inconsiderate things I've ever heard. Either way there's dog fur in the store, and pet dander, whether ir be visibly on the clothes, not visible on the clothes, or IN THE AIR, which for sure it is. My wife and I used to love shopping here. Now we are not able to. Chicago please take into consideration the health and people who are allergic. This is the most inconsiderate thing that's been done in this city in a long time. It completely disregards the health codes and more. It's disgusting and it needs to be changed. Dogs should NOT be allowed in these stores!!! And that's a fact

I love TJMaxx and come here often. The store itself I love but I had a really bad experience last time I went to this specific store. I went to the dressing room and tried clothes on, when I was done I handed back the few things I didn’t want to the employee. As I’m walking away the employee is talking to another customer and makes fun of one of the things I had tried on and was laughing at me for it. Then (I believe it was the manager) was talking to another employee and was pretty much YELLING at her because she accidentally put dresses away in the wrong spot. She was so rude to this poor employee and embarrassed her inform of everyone. Poor girl just made a mistake. Then the manager went over to another employee making fun of the girl she just yelled at and was talking bad about her loud enough for everyone to hear. I’m not one to leave reviews but this really was really awful and hope something can be done.

Honestly I love this store. Just disappointed by behavior of female employee “ JAN POLINO”, old/ blonde hair. Accidentally I lost my phone and I asked this lady very gently if I could make a call to my husband via store phone. Very abruptly she said, “ No”. Very disheartened. Later some stranger gave me their phone and I was able to call my husband. I hope you don’t have to face such situation ever in life. Be little bit generous and understanding, won’t cost you anything. And it’s not like I asked for your personal phone. I asked to make a quick call from store’s phone. People like you make me feel humanity is lost now a days. ☹️

Smaller than the one down the street they replaced this location has the beauty and jewelry on the first floor whilst every other department is on the second. Due to the size constraints this location doesn’t offer as many choices per department. The store is clean and they staff friendly. My only complaint is that they don’t wrap your glass purchases as they do in every other Maxx. You have to ask to wrap jelly and soap that is in glass containers. I had a whole 1L pump of rosemary soap shatter on some brand new dry clean only clothes.

Very bad experience waiting for a price chech up and the cashier Mark and other African American ladie took like 20 min. They went to fined another same pants and I told them that a saw a ticket in the floor in the fitting room but I didn't check of one of my garments .... So we went to the fitting room to get it and the other African American ladie said that it wasn't the price .... So for the attitude they were racists.... I had around $100 of purchase didn't get anything after waiting 30 min... Never going back there

Don't really like this TJ Maxx I had a sales lady continuously ask if I needed help, and was I looking for something in particular. Felt a little harassed maybe because I'm latina, but I ignored her. So did not feel comfortable. They also do not have kids clothes or shoes. Their store is a little strange as the registers are on the 2nd floor so when I was leaving the lady yelled out you have to pay for that! I showed her my receipt and left. Will not be going back to this store anytime soon.

This is my review after visiting the new location. I LOVE TJ Maxx. But this new location is not great. If you're looking for tons of inventory, friendly customer service and versatile options, look elsewhere. I've been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this TJ Maxx leaves something to be desired. Check out the Fullerton location if you're looking for a classic version. I will give them this, the store is very clean and the new location is much easier to find.

Apparently you cannot return Home Goods items to TJ Max. I checked online “Google “ before I trekked to the closest store only to be told that is incorrect and TJ Maxx has no control over what Google writes. Google says you can return items it may take a little longer but yes you can return items. So I’m not happy and the person behind the counter could of been nicer with her response. She clearly wanted me to go away. Customer service at this store gets one star.

I have one of the greatest customer service in the service team. One staff member, Pablo was outstanding and helps me until find the perfect gift. He was very kind, patient and nice. He exceeds the way of customer service. Otherwise, while I was checking out the management was not very helpful with their team and don’t seems to be satisfied with anyone’s member hard work. That’s the reason that I see they don’t keep / get good employees.

This is definitely a small T.J. Maxx in comparison to other stores around the city, I’m not sure what other reviewers were thinking. Selection is fairly limited, and there is less clearance selection as well. If you’re just generally shopping for nothing in particular, then is a good option. If you’re looking for something in particular, I would not recommend this store, as the selection is so variable and quality is hit or miss.

Can I actually review at TJ Maxx store? Absolutely I can in this location is one of my favorites. Friendly staff. People in the fitting room are always very outgoing and make sure that everything you need is there for you to Try-on. Overall I would say that if you’re going to check out at T.J. Maxx location this is one of them they always has good deals and you’ll find something that you like if you’re a T.J. Maxx fan.

The new location. "Great!", you'd think, "Nope", I'd say. Before you'd be able to find anything at the store and, since T.J.Max moved to the new location some time ago, everything got worse. First of all, the selection is not great, as it used to be, second thing is they are trying to fit as much as possible in such a small place. It really difficult to walk over there! A good thing, Target has two locations nearby :)

This TJ Max is pretty small and simple. I recommend coming here if you're merely trying to browse or find something generic. They may be out of exactly what you want. I'd go online to shop if I was looking for something very specific. Nonetheless they have so many random things that you can find some clothes, home items, or shoes. Overall fairly safe and fun shopping experience here.

This branch is one of the small T.J. Maxx but if you are lucky you can find good things. They have very good workouts outfits and equipments but you must check regularly since things are getting sold out quite fast here. You can find yoga equipments(mat, blocks, bets and even ring) with reasonable price here. Check here before ordering from Amazon.

I used to be one of the valued customer of TJ Maxx for how many years already, but sadly when they transfered to a new location, they haven't serve the best now. I miss the old TJ MAXX. I dont like the attitude of some of their staff. Some we're too disrespectful to the customer and I hate the fact that they only have limited products. Sad life.

I love TJ Maxx!! There is no exception here! I enjoyed myself way too much!! Get me some clothes, cologne/perfume, socks, underwear, planters, sweats, shirts, clippers, hats, games, kitchen supplies, candles, bed and bath items, coffees, popcorn, etc. Always having a fun time at TJ Maxx!! Summer is the best time for buying planters at TJs!

I used to like going to this location, but it got worse since they moved to a brand new building across the street. The new store is smaller and that probably explaines the limited selection that they have now. They also completely got rid of all children's items, such as toys, clothing, etc. I miss going to the "old" TJ Maxx.

This TJ Maxx is a miniature version of some others that I have been to. The downstairs has a small connection of luggage, handbags, and bathroom washes such as face, shampoo, makeup, and body. Upstairs is a tight collection of the usual Marshall/tj Maxx, without much of a men's section that we might expect from larger stores

I was falsely led to believe about a loyalty card that was indeed a credit card by the cashier. Do not, I repeat DO NOT get any kind of card here unless you know first what you're getting into which was a hassle to cancel. The store itself has decent selection of stuff specially if you're looking for gifts in a hurry.

Typical TJ maxx store. It's not one of those big stores but you will find most of the items you typically will. It's relatively new so it's still in a nice condition, clean and it looks like they reorganized it. Don't look for kids stuff cause this store does not carry kids items like toys and clothes.

This is TJ Maxx's best location. Its always clean and easy to shop around. They always have new selection and it goes fast. So make sure you get something you really like or it won't be there next time. The staff is super friendly and i really like how they employee people of all ages. Its awesome!

I love TJ Maxx, but not this one. The staff is terrible, rude and unhelpful. Me and to others if seems as if it's this big annoyance that you're around. Maybe it was a bad day for them today, but the attitude of "well sorry **shoulder shrug**) is not acceptable customer service in my opinion.

I always enjoy shopping at this location, but today I was blown away by their employees when I reported that my keys were lost. After checking the lost and found they were on a mission to find them before I left and they did. So grateful for the diligent and helpful employees. Thanks again!!

I visited this location with a friend who lives in the neighborhood; It's definitely smaller than it's original location which was a half a block away....I lived in the area a decade ago and a lot of businesses have closed, relocated or downsized long before the pandemic...

Terrible customer service! We’re not able to return the dress and get my money back to my credit card( that was used with a purchase)only store gift card... it took 10 minutes to cashier to figure out this with the help of store manager. Any other tj maxx but not this one

Well organized and jam-packed with bargains and savings and also things that nobody really needs that will end up in a landfill next year. The employees work very very hard to maintain order out of so much merchandise. But clean and The sales staff is very helpful.

I had a wonderful shopping experience at the jewelry counter trying to buy a gift for my mom. Lisa was so helpful in showing me options and giving me various gift ideas. Its surprising to find great customer service at any store now a days, but Lisa was awesome!

Proud to be a Maxxinista! This TJ Maxx is my staple and although it can be hit or miss, they have stocked inventory - especially of handbags! Friendly employees and very good about doing returns. The top name brands always go the fastest, so keep trying!

Make sure you don't forget your points card if you have one as they will tell you "we don't do that" if you ask them to look it up. That really bothers me, but overall I've found some great stuff there and generally like this location.

I was here over the weekend and I loved my interaction with one of the employees at this location. This was my second time coming here and a lady named Lisa helped me pick out some make-up. This will be my favorite TJmaxx from now on.

I come here to get a lot of decorations and household items for my apartment. They always have a great selection and great deals. If you see something you should buy it sooner rather than later since they frequently update their stock

The first t.j. Maxx I've been to that didn't have a baby/kid section. Couldn't get my kid anything while I was there. Disappointing. It was very crowded and the aisles upstairs were a super tight fit. Hard to push a stroller around.

Went to this store yesterday looking for some jewelry and I was so happy with the service I received from Lisa. She was so nice and had such a great sense of humor. Definitely will be coming back to this TJMaxx from now on.

Looking for something particular, selection was a bit slim. There were several people shopping finding what they wanted. It's good to have the store in the neighborhood. I like shopping there, I did make a purchase.

They've done a decent job re-organizing the store so things are easier to find now. The space is a bit on the smallish side so variety of items is limited but still a lot of interesting finds at reasonable prices.

Went in search of home decor and wasn't disappointed. Great variety for kitchen and bathroom with low prices. Friendly staff and well organized. Wouldn't recommend for men's clothes however, very small selection.

Destiny A was the cashier that helped me today and she was great! Very patient and took her time wrapping each of my fragile products. I appreciated how she did not rush me and was very respectful and thorough!

Everything here is very reasonably priced, and I have found some very good items. My only complaint is there is no Men’s shoe section, which is unlike any TJ Maxx I have ever been to.

I was really disappointed with the men’s section. We went for just some nicer long sleeve shirts and there were barely any to be found at the price points you’d expect at a TJ Maxx.

There is a good variety of everything to buy there and it is relatively cheap! Service is good too. The only complaintI have is that some sections are a little messy or unorganized.

TJ Maxx is always a little hit or miss.. kind of just the nature of the store. But this location is such an improvement over the one that used to be across the street!

Most Staff there were friendly and kind although I felt one staff was being a bit sexist when I wad trying to buy makeup as I am a male who identify's as a female.

This used to be my go-to place for unique jewelry but then I went to the place on Broadway they had so much better inventory. I should have gone around sooner.

If you're looking for cheap branded items including clothing, they will have it. Don't expect the entire range but if you're lucky they may have it in stock.
