"During my search for more authentic Mexican food, we found this place"
"I called to order and i asked do you guys deliver and she said yes but you gotta tip the delivery guy because he lives out off tips that was the first thing that made me feel uncomfortable since i just had miney for the food then next i proceed to order and send my husband to pick up the food"
"It’s hard writing this review because Taqueria San Pedro used to be one of my neighborhood takeout staples, but it’s evident that the quality of the food has gone down and the prices have gone up"
"We went for dinner at Taqueria last night and the food was fantastic! We don't speak any Spanish, and the people working here don't speak much English"
"Order 5 entrees separately, 3 quesadillas, one burrito, and one order of Flautas"
During my search for more authentic Mexican food, we found this place. The inside is really small, with just few tables. But, I also heard that they have recently done some renovation, and expanded the space a bit. And there it was, to the left side of the cashier counter, a new space with interesting wall murals which was still work in progress. The menu had ample amount of offerings, but we didn't really know what to order. That happens when you are not super familiar with authentic food items... I wish if they had more pictures on the menu, so that we know what they look like, and make it easier to order. While we looked over the menu, they brought us some chips and very small amount of salsa. They were ok, nothing special. We had some fruity milkshakes which were pretty good. Then ordered three tacos each, which were very reasonably priced and they were tasty. While the tacos and milkshakes were good, the service was not so much. We didn't even get a glass of water, but maybe we had to ask for it. I don't think they came to ask if everything was ok, not even once, but this is not that kind of restaurant here, it seemed. It is more of a quick bite or to-go order kind of place. But, that also makes you feel not very welcomed. I always appreciate warm service at a restaurant or any eatery place. I don't think I will go back, but it was a good to experience an authentic joint. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.
I called to order and i asked do you guys deliver and she said yes but you gotta tip the delivery guy because he lives out off tips that was the first thing that made me feel uncomfortable since i just had miney for the food then next i proceed to order and send my husband to pick up the food.Up front when i ordered i asked for her to put sauce in my bag instead when my husband went to pick up she said no no sauce she wont be able to handle the spicy which it makes no sence since she doesn't know me,then to top it off it was supposed to be 11 dollars for the order but when he picked it up she charged him 12 i have gaven him a 20 dollar bill and he came back with only 7 dollars which mean she took and extra dollar and pocket it.I sent him back to get my dollar and she got angry at him and said are you serious for a dollar amd she reached in the tip bowl in other words this woman tipped her self with my money what a thief and then after arguin for my own money she took it out and gave it back with attitude. and of course that its not the right thing to do.Tacos where good but they need a new honest good humored person working there.
It’s hard writing this review because Taqueria San Pedro used to be one of my neighborhood takeout staples, but it’s evident that the quality of the food has gone down and the prices have gone up. An order of nachos here used to cost 7.25, and as of now they cost 15$. Even pre-pandemic their food prices had been rising an ridiculous amount and now it’s just tripled. The quality of food has most definitely gone down as well. An order of nachos used to come steaming hot and the container would be jammed pack with beans, chicken, and tortillas. Now your food comes soggy, half cold and half empty. I can’t confidently say that with the way Taqueria San Pedro is currently operating that I would ever order from there again.
We went for dinner at Taqueria last night and the food was fantastic! We don't speak any Spanish, and the people working here don't speak much English. If anything, that added to the amazing experience! The food was all authentic, and the ambience was what you would expect of a small Mexican restaurant. It was all so good, that we went back for breakfast today! The portions and quality of the food was excellent! My wife tried as best she could to finish her meal, but it was a very large portion. I endured through all the fantastic sauces over rice, beans and chorizo eggs. If we come back to New York, we will seek out this authentic Mexican experience again!
Order 5 entrees separately, 3 quesadillas, one burrito, and one order of Flautas. First of all, the 3 quesadillas came in the same plate, even though ordered separately because it’s for 3 people. Toppings for the quesadillas were for just one order which is disappointing in itself. My burrito was HUGE. Fully loaded with rice and beans but where’s the CHICKEN. UNREAL, whoever was in the kitchen tonight did not give to F’s. The flautas come with rice and beans on the side with a salad and NONE of it got here. Chips and Guac are bland because the guac is watery and has no flavor. Very disappointing experience for my family do not recommend !
I simply adore this place. I have lived above them for over a year, and their late night taco salvation is the stuff of legend. I have now tried every variety of taco the make and there are quite a few) and I can heartily recommend each and every one. My two favorites are the vegetarian and shrimp versions. The vegetarian is thick and hearty, two or three of those and you’ll be full all day. The shrimp are rich and light, and taste like they should be $20 a pop. The staff are kind, quick, and no-nonsense. I love them all and you should take any opportunity to eat here!

Food is amazing but there service is the worst n the lady is talking to other people while on the phone with me n she then starts screaming at me these poeple need to be trained other then the service the food it amazing this place needs to be shut down ASAP someone esle needs to take over this place she leaves me in the phone for 15 mins then hangs up on me this lady needs to be fired I’m going to talk with the owner about her because She should be fired she’s the worst n to see his plus only losing money because of her
Very unsanitary. This place had a C rating just this past summer. The kitchen area is always dirty. And the freezer for the "paletas" (ice pops) is in bad need of a defrost, cleaning, and disinfection. I don't understand how people eat here. And if anyone is disabled, it will be impossible to get inside. And the staff there look at you like you disturbed their lunch hour when you ask them a question. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE FILTH AND NASTY ATTITUDES
Amazing salsa!! Great horchatas, great steak tacos (they came out very hot!) nice big space to dine, comfortable chairs. Definitely authentic Mexican, no fancy weird tacos thank god. Will definitely be coming back again and again. Service was good too, I don’t think people are rude, just do t speak too much English maybe? But this isn’t the place to go if you want to be dotted on. Came on a Sunday at 3:30 and it wasn’t busy at all, server was attentive!
Good food! I had steak enchiladas with red sauce, which was delicious and hella spicy (just how I like it). My girlfriend had 3 tacos and she said they were good but not great. The chicken in her chicken taco was cut very small and was very dry. The steak in my enchiladas we cut very small but it wasn't dry, so I definitely fared better. I think if the meat was in bigger pieces and her chicken was more moist it would have been an "excellent" rating.
Really authentic Mexican food - with great service. Flora & the other waitress are really sweet, attentive & nice women who take extra care of the customers. The food isn't fancy but delicious, real Mexican cuisine & it's affordable. This has become my new go-to place for some tacos and a cold corona.

Food was good and fresh but the service over the phone was the I've encountered. I thought the place was closed and had to call twice. The rang more 20 times, finally answered the phone with an attitude because she was busy. Got the order wrong with missing items. Requested menu-never got them. Extremely rude girl. She needs a brake. I will never order from this place again. Must train the employees on how provide good service.
This place always gets my orders wrong, they give us guacamole that taste like pure hot sauce. Their menus say rice and beans on every menu but when you order if they tell you it'll cost more if you want it. We ordered a chicken quesadilla from them and they delivered steak, which is fine so we went to get it changed and they gave us an attitude. We gave them around 5 chances, which I think is enough. They suck.
WARNING!!!!!Today Feb 27th, 2019 I ordered a Carne Enchilada burrito and an agua de orchata. While I was eating my burrito, I bit something unusual. There was a piece of glass in the burrito. See the picture. When I called back, the manager said that he was going to send me another one in replacement. But I really don’t want it, it’s very dangerous to serve glass. So be careful when eating at this place.
This place have amazing tasty tacos any kind of meat tacos here in this spot taste wonderful. The only thing is that the tacos here little expensive but is worth it. Their Loaded Nachos with everything in it and chicken also taste amazing, this place sells beers and have seating for you to eat in the restaurant. If you're looking for a Mexican food spot you should definitely come here.
Rarely do reviews but I had to this time, most of the times I order food from this place it’s either the bean or the rice is bad, they leave chips of bone inside the barbacoa and the portion is bad for the amount of money a plate of Barbacoa costs.

The place for tacos uptown! Welcoming service ensures quick and filling meals alongside the coldest beer you could want with authentic Mexican food. Excellent food, low prices, friendly and efficient service makes it my place for tacos and beer. Some number of summer afternoons were spent out front people-watching.

Our food was brought to the wrong table, my rice and beans were cold, they brought us sauce and took it right back and gave it to another customer, when I was given my food I had wait to even get a knife and fork (I ordered a platter). The food was okay but if I had a choice between going here and somewhere else I would go somewhere else.
I really liked this place. Fresh food, quick service and great customer service, all workers are friendly. I ordered a chicken bowl and tamarindo juice, it was pretty good. They accommodated my requests. Chips and salsa also good. Coming back for sure.

Low prices - eat like a pig for under 20$. Mexican coffee was fantastic. Chips and salsa not good - salsa tasted like ketchup. Enchiladas with mole - the mole is really fine with very good chocolate. The style here is pretty spicy hot! Cheese and crema very good. Rice and beans outstanding. Very friendly like in Mexico.
I've been to this Mexican restaurant about three or four times and each time the female with the heavy makeup behind the counter is VERY rude. Service is bad and the food isn't that great. I only come here because it's close to where I live but I guess I will have to travel for better service! TWO THUMBS DOWN.
This restaurant was exceptionally clean. The attendant didn't speak English but had a young lady there, acting as an interpreter. I ordered a smoothie & a grilled chicken wrap & both were delicious! Their prices are pretty moderate too. If I'm in this area again, I'll be sure to pop in! See you soon! Enjoy!
Rude hostess and she wears gloves that touches everything from the phone, calculator, pens, money, receipt book,.doors and garbage. Whats the use of wearing gloves to protect the items? Smh ...not even worth one star... I really want to get them a negative one star they don't even deserve that.
Definitely just okay. Came for lengua tacos but they didn't have any that day. Complimentary chips were stale and salsa was grossly sweet. I ordered a barbacoa and bistec taco; they were decent size and tasted basic.

Lil spot with zero frills, food is seasoned well and the portions are good for the price, delivery was quick and correct. That -star was for the deserts: the worst flan i’ve had in my life. It was bland, syrup was weird, tasted like fridge. Yuck. Just get fresh stuff and you should be fine.
The quesadillas are delicious!! -I like the steak quesadillas better than the chicken quesadillas. Not to say their chicken is not good, I’m just a steak person!! This is a must place to try some good authentic Mexican food! FYI I’m Mexican and when I taste good Mexican food I know!!
They happily delivered to my house on this cold day and we agreed on a higher minimum. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into seasoning the meal and proper presentation. It was delicious, authentic & arrived hot still despite the cold and the distance. Thank you so much!
The restaurant was clean. It is small so the place felt intimate and cozy. The food was well done, and tasted authentically homemade. I enjoyed it. I suggested the place to my friends so the pressure was on for the food to be good and they were happy with the food they ordered.
Incredible food, such great staff, and awesome prices! Spanish soaps playing in the background's just the icing on their delicious dulce de leche cake.

I used to love this place but, today on March 1rst 2021 I ordered horchata drink and it had way a lot of cinnamon in it taste just like cinnamon and not the common Mexican horchata Drink, And my ham torta was salty really salty I’m very disappointed...
Easily one of my favorite taco spots in the city. I typically go for the al pastor or chorizo tacos or the bistec quesadilla, but my roommate is a big fan of their burritos. The portions are always great and delivery is usually faster than estimated!
WORSE PLACE to eat, waitress was extremely rude, disrespectful, yelling whenever you asked her a question, utensils were dirty. We got food poisoning after eating here.

This location came up as a suggestion. My friend and I decided to go and see for ourselves. We ordered the chicken fijitas. The portions were sufficient. The seasoning was on point. Pleased with the cost of the meals. I suggest this location :-)
Been here 2 years ago one morning and the Lady was frantically getting ready for the shop. We were hungry and all she had were tacos. Let me tell you their tacos are probably best in town LOCATED UPPER MANHATTAN. Now I'm back and happy to
I must say that the chicken taco's and the chicken fajitas are incredible by far the best I have ever eaten well worth the 40-45 for delivery all 3 times the girl at the counter was very friendly when i first walked in and asked for a menu
After further reflection I see that my last review was left out of anger and frustration. The staff is charming and understanding and very attentive. Food is really delicous and practical when in a rush. Please come and try their dishes.
The food was sooo good. I was about to give up on ever finding a really good Mexican food place in NY. I'm so glad I decided to try them. The nachos and the flautas platter was delicious. Definitely, definitely ordering from them again
I was hesitant to go to the restaurant due to the B rating on the window. The tacos were to die for pure and simple, my friend tried the chicken taco, the chorizo taco, rice and beans. I will visit again and open until 3am! Just go!
My first time there. Had my favorite. Done just right. I'll be back. Recommended by a friend.

100℅ Authentic and legit Mexican food. The Tacos are delicious, I love the pastor, lengua and enchilada tacos. Order the pic de gallo with chips, it is very fresh and delicious. It's very inexpensive too.
Great hole in the wall place for authentic Mexican food. I swear by their huevos rancheros. Decently priced, good portions. Not open for dinner, sadly! But they just expanded and added a new seating area
They recently expanded the place. There's a lounge/dining area now. A few dudes going at a bucket of Coronas looks like a good time. The food is delicious (tortas, baby!) and the staff is very nice.
Best mexican food I have had in the city. They have barbacoa and pozole sometimes on the weekends. They have a quesadilla with handmade tortilla but you have to specifiy it.
Very good traditional mexican food. Good tasting food. It is not the best looking place to bring a date but for lunch and take out it is the best mexican food in the area.
Beware: B rating outside of door. Makes sense when you go in. Not the cleanest place. Food is average. Service is just okay. Chick working the register is pretty rude.
Attention. ... This restaurant is closed on 7/31/19 by health department for really bad unsanitary condition like rats and food not store at 42 degrees or lower.
Bought vegetarian tacos and i was disappointed because they're a little pricey and the meat tacos are less which makes no sense because meat is more expensive.
Great food! ENCHILADAS were just right! Service was friendly and prompt. Catalina was friendly and hard working. I will come back Here next time I’m in Harlem
Been coming here for years now live in the neighborhood for years plus work for a local Latino station and friends and co workers love the services and food
Terrible burritos($10.80). Poorly wrapped and messy, fell right apart . Have had better for cheaper price ($5). And the wait for the food was frustrating.
The best Driving school Go Green Driving School on Broadway 151...lower rate available and special discount if you live in a 20 blocks ratios...up to 30%.
The first time me and my wife went there the food was very good as of 6/2/22 the food was terrible the Burrito taste bad never going back there. …
I stop here on my way home from work. I order and it's ready to go by the time I arrive. The food is great and the people there are always friendly.
The burritos are huge! Nice people, minimal wait. I do recommend.

Waooo! Really authentic Mexican food made fresh at time to order incredible taste experience one of the best mexican restaurants I ever discover
Nasty and rude service from the lady on the phone , and she got our order wrong. In my opinion I rate this place a negative -10 zero stars
It takes a little time to get your food, but simply put, they may serve the best tacos in the area, and all the food here is worth trying.
The Tacos are delicious, I love the pastor, lengua and enchilada tacos. Order the pic de gallo with chips, it is very fresh and delicious
Very friendly staff and the orders are super fast! Everything is just amazing there. I will be coming back often and they accept cards.

Excellent food, great customer service and always a clean place and restroom. Not too far from the house is an added plus.
If you're looking for a place to grab a quick bite this can help. If you're expecting great hygiene, not so much.
Over the phone, bad customer service. The girl who answered was rushing too much while I ordered. Really bad.
This was our final meal as we headed out of the city. Got 4 tacos that were absolutely amazing! Authentic.
Decided to try out a Torta from here LMFAOOO the water bottle is for size measurement Def not Worth trying
I order enchiladas last month and inside the was a live roach.... No wonder it was close by health dep.
The cake was delicious and it looked good. Best ever but the decorations was normal nothing too fancy.
The food here is almost every time good. But the wait is ridiculous and delivery is even worse
Best nachos and tacos in the neighborhood. Mostly on time and the steak nachos kick butt!
Love this spot . One of the best Mexicans restaurants I've been to. Highly recommended
Best restaurant ever food is amazing margaritas the best delicious ❤ …
Food is autentic and good portion sides. Try everything you can't go wrong.
Delicious food nice place and very polite staff and very celan place super
Best tacos in Harlem! They have table service and they also deliver.
Some of the best Mexican food in the city. Massive burritos for $10.
So good. Excellent food. Friendly workers. Unbelievably low prices.
Workers are attentive and nice. Steak and chicken tacos are great!!
Taqueria San Pedro is the best place to get authentic tacos Uptown.
My fav tacos place in NYC! Super friendly staff & awesome food!
Currently my favorite restaurant in NY. Super fresh tacos.
Great food at great prices. Try the quesadillas and tacos!
Amazing Food. Have a cold Carta Blanca while you wait!
