Recently Tarrytown took over RX Health in Rocky-Hill CT. The service has been horrible. Last week we needed medications for a group home participant going to camp. The meds were ordered ahead of time and was promised to be delivered on Wednesday because prior to leaving for camp the participant would be staying with his family so meds were needed by Wednesday evening. When they didn't arrive by Thursday afternoon, I was promised they would be delivered by Thursday evening. This meant the participants plans had to change. On Friday morning meds were still not delivered. I called and explained that we needed these meds asap and that the house was going to an event and to please instruct the delivery person not to arrive before 9 pm. I was promised this would be taken care of. When we arrived from our event, there was a note on the door that the delivery person arrived at 7:23 pm and no one was home. I called after hours pharmacist and he arranged for it to be delivered by 10:30pm Friday. A few days of crisis was not warranted on this. Next up, Another participant arrived home from a family visit on Sunday and the family had taken the labels off a few of the medications being returned. State law says my staff cannot administer those meds without a pharmacy label. I was made aware on Tuesday and called RX Health/ Tarrytown and explained that we could get by with everything except we would need a 7 day supply of Depakote before we receive July's new monthly bubble pack. I was told this was understood and a 7 day supply would be delivered asap. Well, it's Friday and still no Depakote. The person will be going on another family visit for the weekend and she leaves at 4:15. She has no Depakote for Saturday. Again, I call and now I am told that they didn't send it because they had sent a full months supply the previous month and she should be all set. I once again explained the issue with the family and removing labels and they said they will check with billing to see if they can send. OMG! They need to send. Now they are saying they can have the meds ready in an hour but I have to drive 20 miles to get it. They can't promise a timely delivery. GET IT TOGETHER TARRYTOWN! ZERO stars

As a West Austin Realtor, I can run in for room scent for an open house, a decorative piece for a table, books and toys to keep kids occupied in the car or a great housewarming gift. Their selection is lovely and specially curated by the owner. Three generations of the Newberry family have been keeping Austin medicine cabinets well stocked and given hours of advice for what ails us since 1941. Over the years they’ve added compounding medications and even administering vaccines. They even do free gift wrap and delivery. Generations of Austinites have relied on @TarrytownPharmacy.

I made an appt for covid shot online but found an earlier one, so wanted to cancel to free up the spot for someone else. I could not find a way to do it online! So, I called the pharmacy directly, but they did not seem to know how and put me on hold. Finally, they came back and said it was cancelled. BUT, I then got another email after the appt date thanking me for getting the vax there! SO, I don't know if the appt was really cancelled. They need to fix their site to give a clear way online to cancel. There is a button on one page to reschedule/cancel but it did not work-- did not take me anywhere to do that. Please fix this. It was so hard to get the appt (vax rollout with probs this time) and I hated to waste that appt time!!! Thanks.

A few months ago I had a COVID vaccine at the Tarrytown Pharmacy and had a good experience (the cost covered by my Medicare insurance) so this week I booked an appointment there for an RSV vaccine there. Later I was contacted by them that I would have to pay part of the charge for the vaccine. I am over 65 and I have Medicare and a Medicare Advantage insurance policy, so why would I have to pay? I phoned them and they couldn't explain why I would have to pay, so I cancelled that appointment, went to HEB and no charge for the RSV vaccine at HEB! It clearly states on the Medicare website that anyone over 65-years old will be covered. So I don't think I'll be back to Tarrytown Pharmacy for obvious reasons!

This is an amazingly wonderful pharmacy. My doctor charged me $900 for the first Shingles shot and said there would be another $900 for the second one and said my insurance would not cover these shots. I got the first shot at the doctor’s office and then called Julie at Tarrytown who assured me my insurance would cover the second shot possibly with a very minor copay and to come whenever I was ready for that. Thank you, thank you Julie and Tarrytown Pharmacy, one of the best pharmacies in Austin!

The big pharmacies do ok. But I love going some place that has real customer service as a focus. You don't always need it, but when you do it matters. And even when you don't need it it is refreshing...My wife had a prescription that has a very bad taste as a side effect. She asked the person on the phone about it and got some ideas. When I went to pick it up, the tech had researched what particular flavors were best at countering that taste and wrote it down for us. That's service.

Got my covid booster vaccine at Tarrytown Pharmacy and the online scheduling and appointment was very easy. They get this done like a well oiled machine. The only thing to plan around is the parking and time of day. I made a 3pm appointment thinking I'd avoid rush hour but I didn't factor in the school across the street. I think they must get out at 3pm because it took less time to get the vaccine than to get out of the parking lot.

Tarrytown Pharmacy is the best, offering a wide variety of items from gifts for adults and children to health remedies and medicines. They have been at the forefront of offering vaccines in a timely manner with an excellent online scheduling feature better than any other pharmacy I’ve seen. And the fact that it is locally owned makes it the top choice for me every time.

They are the worst pharmacy, shipments never arrive on time, they leave the medicine in the mailbox when the weather is super hot, they collect the money for the medicine immediately! My husband and I went to Tarrytown Pharmacy for our COVID booster vaccine. Making the appointment was easy. When we arrived our paperwork was not ready, but that process went quickly as well. Everyone we saw, from start to finish, was polite and friendly. The overview of the whole pharmacy is very nice.
