This one star review is specifically for the very poor customer service I received from the only female staff Nafisah re my two visits for a set of passport photos on 18 and 19 December this month. 18/12 - went in after 5pm to try to get a set of passport photos done. There was no customer around at the time and I was served by this Nafisah. I have thin curtain fringe that sits just around my eyebrows (doubled checked this with my local post office who was saying my hairstyle was fine on 17/12) and was told by this Nafisah that I need to cut off my fringe to show my eyebrows completely on the spot so she can take the photos despite I mentioned to her about what my local post office said to me about this - 1. What kind of customer service you d tell your customer to cut off their hair/ fringe on the spot or go get a haircut first then come back for a 20 bucks passport photo service? 2. I didn’t come in to get a nobody to told me off for the hairstyle I have nor get interrogated by a nobody on whether I am lying about what my local post office told me. (on a contrary, one of the other guys was very kind and he was suggesting whether I could pin my fringe up with a bobby pin!) 19/12 - went in again after 6pm to try to get a set of passport photo done again as I was unable to side part my fringe the day before. Was served by a friendly staff this time but the photo didn’t come out properly as there were some white marks on my face in the photo (mainly, in the mid of nose bridge, forehead and on the edge of my face). Noticed this issue while I was on my way to my car, so went back straight away to see whether this issue can be fixed. Saw this Nafisah at the counter again - 1.been told I need stand there and wait for 5 mins to be served while she s not serving any customer and pretending to be busy to put two white gloves on! 2. No question was asked about why I circled back to the shop in less 3 mins 3. After I explained the white make issue to the staff who took the original photo for me, she was trying to brush me off by saying it’s a normal thing and caused by the glass I am wearing which was clearly a lie - there are no white marks on my face in the second set of photos they took afterwards. Would only recommend people to get their passport photo done here by the guys, dont waste a second of your time to deal with this female staff Nafisah. **agree with feedback other people provided on this Nafisah, she is indeed rude arrogant and condescending. Retail is not the right job for you if you are having such attitude!**

I never left a bad review before. This is my first time. I work in customer service so have a lot of patience and understanding for people in any sales or customer service industry. Sometime people are just having a really bad day and need a break from time to time. Although my experience at Teds highpoint yesterday was really disappointing. I was hoping that when I went to the store (which is an hours drive from where I live) that I would be able to speak to a staff member about the different cameras and specs so i could make an informed decision before purchasing. The store was busy and I had no problem waiting but when it was finally my turn I felt like the person serving me was trying to get rid of me as quickly as possible and didn't really engage with my questions or take any of the cameras out of the display case to show me properly. I also felt really patronised, I had done some research but I am a beginner and was relying on the advice of the teds staff. I felt like he treating me like a time waisted rather than a genuine buying customer. I felt so uncomfortable in the shop that I ended up taking one of their product catalogue and to the food hall and looked through that instead and buying online. Like I said, I never leave bad reviews, but in a store like teds where the products are very expensive and where the adverage custormer is probably uninformed and overwhelmed by the tech specs, who is nervous about making a such an expensive purchase for something they don't fully understand, I had expected a higher level of service. Had I known I would have saved myself the fuel money and just bought online. And thank God for youtube reviews!

I am not a person who usually posts on reviews but my experience over two of Teds store was so that i feel the need to . Tried to purchase nearly $8000 worth of camera from Teds city store only to be told they would sell me one that needed to be sent to Canon for firmware update ( by me after purchase ), and were unaware this model batch of this camera had been recalled . Found a better deal at a competitors store and then went to Teds Highpoint to purchase $500 worth of extra batteries. The guy at highpoint was so un professional and rude and completely bagged his competitor and snapped at me as though i was at fault for Teds lack of knowledge. If i didn't have a shoot later that day requiring the extra batteries i would have walked out and spent nothing. Maybe this is a store for non industry purchase but they have no idea about those working in the industry. Also to be honest the middle aged man who served me was perhaps one of the rudest and most bitter shop assistants i have ever met. Perhaps sales and customer relations is not the right job for him. The one star I am forced to give to post this should have a negative in front of it ... it was Saturday the 2nd of April around mid morning ... i have detailed what has happened here in your Highpoint store .. the specifics are glaringly obvious ....

I went there on the 11/06 at 15:40 to buy a Joby Gorillapod 5k. I asked for price match with Digidirect and I showed the staff (his name is Alexander) Digidirect website and showed him the price they had. If the price offered by Digidirect cannot be price matched then he could have told me when I showed him the price. Instead he proceeded to check Digidirect website on his computer but then declined to price match it because "it's lower than our cost price" which is non sense. The store is offering a 10% off on other Joby's products but he can only offer me 5% off. Went to Digidirect the next day, got the product for a "lower than cost price" price. Thought it was worth trying because Ted's Highpoint is closer to home but guess they don't appreciate a customer. Lose-lose situation because Ted's lost a customer and Digidirect made a loss to sold me a tripod.

Wow! If I could add more stars, I would. I'd like to say how impressed I am with the customer service I have recently received at Ted's Camera Store Highpoint. A staff member named Nafisah went above and beyond to help me with my camera issues. Her listening, trouble solving and efficiency were exceptional. As a professional photographer, I can't tell you how much reassurance and trust this gives me with purchasing and using my camera equipment. We went to Ted's Camera House on Friday evening to buy my teenage son his first camera. Nafisah the sale assistant was so informative and helpful. She showed us a few different options and was very patient answering all our questions. She even went through different price packages. We went home to discuss all the options and returned today to purchase the camera, (ensuring she was there). Even today, Nafisah went through the invoice details clearly and suggested my son take up the free beginners camera class offered by Ted's. Thank you so much for the great service and advice!

Have to wait 15-25 mins for to be served and then when we decided to go with a specific product , first the price was on display was different to Ted's online store and second they said, they can't do a price match with other Australian retailers. There was close to $150 difference for a specific model. Hence, I ended up wasting 1 hour and went to another retailer to get it. Better do your online comparison before going there if you are buying a decent camera. Staff were polite and friendly, though.

Excellent advice and service. I was inexperienced in choosing a Mirrorless camera. Advice given was superb. Shown different cameras and explanations given as to pros and cons. Exchange police is unbelievable and very helpful if not sure and you’d like to try camera. Some stock is low and may be wise to call first but it is a very convenient store to visit. Staff very very helpful to order especially the manager Alex. A definite positive experience

Having shopped here several times in the Christmas rush I can vouch for the service provided at Ted's Highpoint. The young chaps are great and I received particularly good attention from Nafisah. Being inexperienced in photography I had many questions about different products and truly appreciated Nafisah's patience and knowledge. I have been there yesterday to purchase a canon camera with twin lens kit. They didn’t have it the in stock actually. But they tried to sell me the white box products (displayed products both camera and the long lens). When I asked about the seal for the box, I was told that the cameras don’t get a seal. When I asked them to get me the other new box, I was told that it was the last product they have. Fake people.

He put away the Sony A6300 Camera i wanted and i was there at the store about 10AM the next day to pay for it. I just bought a Fuji Instax Mini 11 kit. The price was 118$ but charged me 140$. When I asked on the showcase it was 118$ he told me "oh offer ended yesterday". But when I checked in website it is still on sale for 118$ . I think he just didn't wanted to re do the order cuz he already scanned the product. Ridiculous + it was my first experience in Ted's camera store

Just wanted to thank the sales assistant yesterday for showing me the sony lens. So sorry your boss or whoever that was that ruined your sale by taking over and trying to force a sigma macro on me. Went to Ted’s to get a charging cord for my 12 year old digital camera as I didn’t have one however Nafisah figured out the battery was the issue. I don’t think Teds cameras have a professionally level of camera shop , they need a lot of improvements to deal with customer quickly and give them a good quality picture. They stamp the picture with very bad quality stamp and we lost them all . Also the price is expensive if we compare to comparators .
