This establishment has very hardworking and gentle staff, but is seemingly run by an owner that is more concerned with money, who cares not if the work is complete, but seemingly just about the money. Came in one day as my EPS light had lit up on my dash. Have frequently gone to this shop under its previous owners; who for years were kind, fair and honest mechanics. Without any communication of what was wrong, a very kind mechanic begins work on my car. After about 30 minutes of service to my car (which was simply just "cleaning my throttle") the employee asked the boss "TEE JAY" how much I should be charged. Without asking for further details on the service or checking, TEE JAY shouted from his strange, hidden attic, a price, a price that would make sense if the service was excellent, and the job was done. Whatya know, as I drive off, within 15 minutes, my car stalls in the middle of the road. Upon my return TEE JAY says to me "what would you rather we have done, charge you a large sum for a replacement up front?". A ridiculous thing to say. I would rather pay the fair price and not have to keep coming back. The problem with my car was misdiagnosed, the problem was not fixed, I was not informed on any part of the process and the shop-owner, who does ZERO mechanical work then gaslights me by saying that he "could've charged me a larger sum up front". What's sad is that the staff are actually great, it's just that there seems to be a greedy owner, who seemingly does zero of mechanical work at the helm. Will never return.

The owner is unhelpful, aggressive, and doesn’t take accountability for poor repairs and lost car parts. We went here multiple times to fix an exhaust leak/flex pipe. First repair held for about four hours and then the problem got way worse. It sounded like we were driving a go-kart. It didn’t help that we were on a road trip and when we called the shop, they said it was safe to keep driving. The problem got worse and worse and you could smell exhaust in the car. When we returned, they did a second fix and charged us again. After the second fix, we discovered parts were missing (two heat shields). When we called the shop, they said the parts must have fallen off when we were driving, which was impossible. My partner went back to the shop and even had to look through their garbage for the missing heat shields. The owner was yelling at my partner, blaming us for everything, and wouldn’t take accountability for the shoddy first repair or the missing parts. I do not recommend this shop at all. It’s one thing to have a repair not hold, another to not take accountability, charge for the second fix, and return the car without crucial parts and then yell at us for trying the get the parts back. We now have to buy new heat shields.

I needed the timing chain replace on my vehicle, they said they had to replace engine, which they claimed they did and I started having similar problems almost immediately . Took it back 4 times, check engine light was alway on. Finally car died and I had it towed back. They call and said it was an electrical problem that was beyond them. I had the vehicle towed to another shop in pieces because they didn't put it back together. The new mechanic had to put the vehicle back together and advised that there is no compression and that the timing change had slipped and that it didn't look like the engine had been changed. I'd avoid can't be trusted. ***In response to the owners comments I have attached our text message communication so, anyone can see timing. I got vehicle back Feb 2021 and paid you in full. It return with the same issue 3 times , it broke down finally in September and your top knotch team left my car in pieces and lie about the issue. Thank you for taking the time to clearly demonstrate your honesty.

DO NOT GO HERE. I initially went to TJ's with an issue with my radiator and an oil change. For one, they could not even do a proper oil change because I experienced leaking a week later. Secondly, they replaced my radiator and claimed to fix all issues. Charging me $500. Not to mention, they expressed paying cash with no tax and no itemized receipt would be required. A month later, my transmission then had an issue and my car would not move. I took it to another mechanic who then expressed that the previous mechanic (Tee Jay's) installed my radiator cut the line between my radiator and my transmission, and connected it with clamps! Not to mention... they put my radiator in BACKWARDS! Resulting in me paying $600 to fix the $500 work I paid them to do. Costing me a grand total of $1,100.00. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE CROOKS.

A year ago I had a flat at 7pm, after my regular garage was closed. Tee Jay’s is open late, until 11pm most nights, so I stopped in. As usual, they were busy. They always seem to have taxis and many other repeat customers. But one of the guys came out, and in 15 minutes had resealed my tire onto my rim, and charged me only $25! Since then, we’ve gone for everything with our old car and our even older truck. They replaced the pins and fixed the suspension on our car, repaired a leaking steering line, replaced the starter and fixed the brakes on the truck, and they always do good work at excellent prices. Had another flat this evening, and they repaired it an hour later, and again on charger $25!! I feel so lucky to have found them’

The best auto shop in downtown! Quality work for reasonable prices. I highly recommend! My car had a loud squeeky, rusty, noise due to the right control arm suspension. They fixed it in a timely fashion! The service was prompt (less than 24hrs) and excellent! Now, my car drives smooth like new without any noise. Also, they did excellent Brake disc pads/rotors replacement and my brakes are now running so smooth! I'm extremely satisfied with their service. Plus, the unique perk to this shop is that they open late hours, so it is perfect for those Last minute repairs or emergency situations. The manager (T javed) is very personable and has excellent customer service. I highly recommend their Services.

Tee Jay’s was recommended to me by a friend. The team quickly identified the issues with my vehicle including bad links and a seized front brake calliper. They also identified other parts with wear but still had some life left in them. They showed me everything in the shop with the car raised so I could see for myself. They ordered the parts required and had everything fixed within a few hours. They experience was better than all mechanics I have been to. Quick, honest, and fairly priced. My car felt so much smoother when I drove off. I can now drive with peace of mind and know who I will be going back to when I need repairs. Exceptional service at Tee Jay’s Auto!

My first time going here and it was a great experience. I drive an older car and while getting my tires changed at another place they told me my brake pads are worn. So the same day I googled around and found this place nearby. I called them and they gave me a rough $ estimate over the phone and a time window to come in SAME DAY. As soon as I showed up they were able to service my car, and all done within 1.5-2H. They were helpful and honest (which is what’s most important to me in looking for a mechanic) about what services I need and what I could do without. Very reasonable prices as well. Will definitely come back here in the future.

Bad customer service. Went to purchase a vehicle with a safety and said it would be ready on Tuesday. I pick up Saturday and nothings ready. He tried to sell me the car with safety even though seatbelt and brakes weren’t working. I gave him two more days to fix it before I pick up. When I go to pick up, all the brakes were not done and the engine light is now on. When I say I will not leave a deposit for the vehicle until engine light is off the owner throws a fit and says I’m too demanding. Don’t recommend buying any used cars from here. I definitely didnt.

The only reason I'm giving this dump 1 star is because negative 10 isn't an option! Place is absolutely terrible. Oil stains left on my driver's seat and steering wheel, funnel left in oil intake instead of the cap, it melted and burned my hoses. Long scratch and dent on drivers side As for the brakes, it was like they just threw a few wrenches at the car and hoped something would work itself out. Refused to repair any damages they caused. STAY AWAY *Edit* It is most definitely where I went to. Just south of Queen St. and just west of Jones.

Accidentally found this place when my radiator started leaking. I dropped by, the owner took a look at it and gave me an estimate to replace the radiator. The price was very reasonable - especially considering my car is 15 years old. They had it replaced within a few days. 6 months later my transmission failed. I stopped by and they replaced my transmission with another used transmission and my car is running like new. It's great to know that I have a shop where I can bring my car that's honest and reliable.

This shop does not even have a professional employee to repair cars. After checking the car, they cannot find the main problem of the car. He puts non-original parts in your car, you have to come here again a month later and then you pay again for a new part. Why? I spent my money and time in this shop and got zero results. You try to find better places to repair your car to be happy. I request the government of Ontario to conduct an examination of the employees of this shop and fire unprofessional people.

Nail in the tire. Went here. In and out in 15 minutes. Ali was very nice and helpful. Great customer service and very reasonable prices. Made some inquiries about other things. Will definitely be back for my car needs. ****** UPDATE: Went back. Iqbal is amazing. Customer service is actually amazing here. Did an oil change, checked my brakes, I messed something up when I did it myself and he fixed it. He also washed out the engine bay. Highly recommend this spot for auto needs.

We live one street over and decided to get a second opinion after Canadian Tire said my gf’s Volvo needed almost $5K worth or repairs due to a noise that I thought was related to a wheel bearing. As it turns out, it was only a wheel bearing so we had the repair done and afterwards, I also brought in my Subaru for some brake work. Fair pricing, awesome hours of operation and a super convenient location. I’d recommend these folks all day long.

I've had my license for over 25 years, and have had many mechanics throughout the years. The owner is fantastic here. He's honest. My car even broke down and it wouldn't start one day so I had it towed here and he got it started and said nothing was wrong with it. He didn't even charge me it I said Are you sure?. I can tell you it's really hard to find a good honest mechanic. When you find one, keep it. This is a great place

The team went totally above and beyond to provide amazing service. My parents' van broke down Sunday afternoon, and I scrambled to find an auto mechanic that would work on Sunday. Not only was the team willing to help us out, they actually drove to the side road where my parents had pushed their van. The repair took several hours on a seriously hot and humid day, and we are very grateful for their service.

Saw the good reviews and came for affordable winter tires and service. These guys didn't disappoint. I was offered tea and coffee during the wait. Even though we had a miscommunication, Javeed (who I assume is the owner) worked with me and resolved our problem amicably. Because his #1 priority was customer satisfaction, I will be returning and recommending this shop to others. Thanks guys.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I went here frequently before because it was cheap. Cheap until someone has to take responsibility, then becomes dishonest and shady. Luckily, a cheap part he broke allowed me to see the true colours of him. The payment to avoid a place like this is money well spent. Might not be as cheap for you. I would stay away for even average quality work.

Excellent service ! The owner I think (guy with the hat) was super friendly even offered us cold drinks while we waited for our car to be fixed. Very efficient and honest, explained in detail what the issue was and how it could be fixed. Hours are also great open on Sundays ! Highly recommend best mechanic we have been to!!

Brought my car in for some work after it had been sitting outside all winter. Needed a new battery, brake pads and rotors. Tee Jay's were very professional, reasonably priced, honest, and quick with their work. Got my car back to me the next day. I won't be going to any other mechanics for work in the future.
