This place is a scam. AVOID! The front office manager told me she was charging me $80 for my 10 minute exam that confirmed I needed an emergency root canal. I thought that was so kind since I’m a new graduate student who literally lost my employer-based insurance the day before this appointment. Turns out she had no authority to do that and two weeks later, Tend started texting me at 7a telling me I had a balance and even after I explained the situation they went ahead and charged my card without my consent. What a racket. The least professional experience I’ve ever had. Involving your customers in your broken office policies and charging cards without consent is fraudulent and I will never recommend your services to anyone. This place cares more about quotas and profit than their customers. Do better.

Summary: Avoid at all costs. Failed to bill my insurance correctly and charged my credit card instead; unable to get refund. Went for a regular bi-annual cleaning, and the office mis-filed the claim with an old dental insurance of mine and then billed my credit card without any notice when that failed. I had to reach out to Tend to re-submit the claim to my current dental insurance when I found out about the credit card charge via e-receipt. Six months and a dozen phone calls with customer support later, I still have not been refunded the charge on my credit card, though my dental insurer has confirmed payment to Tend. Absolutely predatory and fraudulent behavior. Customer support and the office manager have exhibited zero accountability in following up with me to resolve the issue as promised.

I wish I could give 0 stars. While the technicians are friendly, the dentists and orthodontists are awful and spend less than a minute with you during any visit. They provide no explanation of treatment plans, especially the orthodontist who works here. It is also impossible to get anyone to answer the phone to change or make an appointment. Worst of all, they have charge my credit card without authorization. I have two unexplained $250 charges on my credit card that Tend cannot explain, but will not refund me. I have been fighting with them via email (because no one answers the phone) for a month and still have not received a refund or explanation. This place is a complete scam.

Tend Cobble Hill is absolutely the best!! I used to absolutely dread going to the dentist and would put it off for as long as I could. Ever since going to Tend Cobble Hill & seeing Chris Damurjian as my dental hygienist, I actually enjoy my visits. Tend is extremely clean (& a cool space), you can watch tv while they do your cleanings which is a great distraction, and they are so thorough. Chris is the absolute BEST! He is so friendly, very knowledgable, very patient and goes over everything, and makes cleanings quick, painless, & thorough. He even gave me a gift for my birthday this visit! I can't recommend Chris or Tend Cobble Hill enough!

Appointment was cancelled for the second time at this location. Last time, right when I arrived, this time just 45 minutes before my actual appointment. Disappointed. Please at least send an email confirming a cancellation. It doesn’t even show in my tend profile that my appointment is cancelled, the appmt just disappears……. Tend handles everything via email and text EXCEPT for cancellations, they call you or leave a voicemail hoping you will reschedule on the spot. If you have a real job that requires you to actually work, not listen to random voicemails 1 hr before you took time off for your appointment, too damn bad :)

I arrived early and was talking to the front desk person to make sure that everything was all set with my insurance. The process was taking a little bit longer than expected and the dentist came over to check to see what was going on. When the receptionist told them the situation they got visibly frustrated. The dentist then typed something on the second computer and the iMessage ding went off on the receptionist computer. Dentist walked alway and receptionist told me I had to reschedule. I still had some time before my appointment. Not a fan of how the dentist handle the situation. The receptionist was kind and helpful.

My experience at Tend was amazing!! I’ve always hated going to the dentist but they had a lot of ways of enhancing the experience. I got to choose what show to watch during my cleaning and the flavor used for my dental cleaning. More importantly though, they were so detailed in explaining what was going on with my teeth and what the x rays showed. I’ve always only had a very vague understanding of the x rays taken during dental checkups but they were detailed and answered all my questions. I look forward to maintaining my teeth here and also getting my wisdom teeth out here. Glad I tried it!

Love the care team and reception staff at Tend in Cobble Hill. They are responsive, courteous and always happy to help, especially Sky. Sky is always professional, patient and takes time to answer questions. One BIG area of improvement for Tend is with their billing team. Poor communication, lack of clarity around billing and little to no responses to my email leaves me feeling frustrated and not confident in their abilities. Definitely doesn’t match the in person experience you get with the team. Please fix this and you have a 5-star experience.

Just a fancy office that’s about it. I regret getting braces through them. They have multiple locations but never any appointments. Local dentist offices have appointments for emergencies but Tend never does. You’ll have to wait months to get something fixed. They always cancel appointments but god forbid a patient is 10 mins late they won’t see you at all or charge you for cancellations. Strict policies only apply to patients but not their disorganized establishment. Is there a shortage on orthodontics or Tend just has a high turnover rate?

I’ve been a patient since they opened and went to the flatiron location before that. Their whole staff is super friendly, diverse, accommodating and the medical staff is very qualified. They can do pretty much every service in one place and scheduling is super easy. The space itself is super nice. They are efficient at figuring what your insurance covers and they work within that framework. They tell you the costs at every stage so there’s no surprise bills. I’ve sent friends and family here and they all love it. We call it the Zentist.

I absolutely love this practice! This was the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. Julia was my hygienist and she was so friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. She made me completely at ease and gave me a pain free cleaning. Dr. Chen came by after the cleaning and she was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel like I was be oversold on any treatments/procedures. I got a thorough and honest evaluation of my teeth as well best practices to improve my oral health. I can’t wait to visit again in 6 months.

I had such a positive experience going in for a teeth cleaning at Tend. The team was really caring towards me, and I appreciated that they let me know what they were doing at every step during my appointment. They also told me the what the cost would be for a cavity filling, and asked if that was okay before doing the procedure, which is a level of transparency I’ve never experienced from any medical provider before. Would definitely recommend Tend and already have my appointment to go back!

It’s okay! It definitely feels like a business is running this, and that they rush the appointments to try and fit more people in. My old dentist carefully cleaned teeth for 60+ minutes, they finished in 25… the hygenist messed up the X rays for 50 minutes the day prior , not even capturing my teeth in her photos , and then they made me come back instead of finishing the appointment …I would prefer a local dentist who cares more about his or her patients .

The details that I seen was the reception greeted us and promptly started to help us appreciate it that the technician that came down to do the work and service my teeth was polite and the cleaning and the evaluation of my teeth were done superb it's the first time I walk into a dental lab or dental office and I walked out smiling thank you Tend.... PS I like to smile alot... Hope my fish brings a smile on your face too.... See you soon...

I am very impressed with Tend in Cobble Hills, I am a person who doesn't like dentists, but since going to tend, they have completely changed my mind d....they are caring, very easy going,they make me feel right at ease from the minute I step inside the doors. Today I was about 20 minutes late for my appointment and they still saw me even though they have a 15 minutes grace period.....I would refer anyone I know to Tend.....one ❤️

The dental hygienist was the best I've ever had. I fell asleep while she very thoroughly cleaned my teeth. She walked me through every step. The facility is modern and clean, although the bathroom fixtures can be upgraded (little rusty shelves and trash can, etc). The front desk team was very pleasant. The dentist herself was very short with me, straight to the point, I guess. Lobby can use more seating.

Love this place! I never loved or even somewhat enjoyed going to the dentist, but I love this place. The people who work here are awesome. I recently sadly moved away from the city but came back to this location for my cleaning. Marielly & Diamond were especially helpful and awesome! Thank you both! And thank you everyone at Tend for giving me an excellent dentist experience.

Ruby was great and talking me in and getting me set up for the appointment. She explained everything very clearly and did a great job with the cleaning. Both her and Dr G took all my questions and gave thorough and accurate answers. Overall great experience. I love that this location is so close to where I live.

First visit at the Cobble Hill location for my cleaning and the service was exceptional! Friendly staff-Sky at the front desk was super helpful explaining the cost for service. Ruth the hygienist was excellent with the cleaning. Dr. Park was thorough with the dental exam. Def going back!

The BEST! Alysha, Diamond, and Dr. Chen are amazing! Best hygienists and assistants ever and Dr Chen is truly the best physician I’ve ever had across any specialty. Lilith, the front desk associate, gave me tips to see her native Paris as well. Actually looking forward to next time!

Unnece$$ary services. Price gouging. A revolving door of staff. A filling spackled like a stucco wall. When I wrote Tend directly, they called me (nice) to say my note “was too long. Didn’t read” (wow) Finally got a credible dentist on what is certainly my last experience w Tend.

My visit at Tend was the best I have had at a dental office. The TV aspect of this visit made me feel comfortable since it made me keep focus on the show I was watching instead of the sound of the drilling noise. The hygienist was very thorough and patient with me.

Always an excellent experience at Tend. I went in today to get my Breezy Braces adjusted and it was a quick and easy process. I’m very happy with my experience here so far and the staff is amazing at explaining the process and answering any questions you may have.

Excellent consult with oral surgeon Dr Peter Chen. Very professional, great communicator and gentle disposition. Great experience with Manager Christina as well as Dr Sarah Vu on consult. Cobble Hill office has an excellent professional team to help/support me!!

Easy to schedule appointments, everyone’s nice enough, facility is beautiful, and they have plenty of shows you can watch to distract you. It was as comfortable as it can be.
