I require a visa to visit Thailand as a simple tourist. No issues with that. However, if I was still living in my country I could request e-visa via the official website and get it in almost no time at all, but since I live in Japan apparently I have to jump through hoops and prepare ton of documentation. Guess what. I WON’T. Why do I have to go through much complicated process here in Japan compared to my home country? Why do they need eg. paperwork that my employer exists and that I am employee there as well as that my company allows me to go abroad?! That is not a concern of the embassy. I am not looking any special treatment, I just want the same thing as if I was in my home country. Thailand is a country that lives from tourism and this particular embassy is just a deterrent for people to visit Thailand and it’s disgrace for the country.

I have a mixed review. I would have surely give 5 stars for the friendly, helpful and polite japanese staffs who made the process faster. However, the thai staff in the reception is very rude and impolite. I had to print some papers, so I tried to ask her if there is a printing machine there but before I could even say excuse me, she screamed at me and said only for thai ! Something something. By the way there is family mart just 3 or 4 minutes walk away from this embassy that has printing service and the staffs will even help you print. There is a free WiFi reception there too so you can send your photos via line app to the printer assuming you don't have Internet service.

I'm truly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the Thai embassy in Tokyo. It's genuinely heartwarming to see their dedication and assistance. In a world where complaints often overshadow appreciation, the embassy's remarkable support stands out. I hope other embassies take inspiration from their humanity and efficiency. My heartfelt gratitude to the entire embassy staff for their outstanding work!

1. Sending email to embassy for inquiry, recommends phone call, Calling replies by machine and recommend the calling time in the evening. While calling during to recommended time slot, again the same machine replies but not successful to talk. 2. Visa application is not accepted without appointment. Appointment can only be taken from one month later for about a month. Please improve!!

It is so embarrassing, they are welcoming tourist to the countries and then they will giving you much harder process for a simple 10 days Tourist Visa. I am free to live all the Europe countries and travel there unlimited.…! So embarrassing. from now on, I will not go your country and never suggest any of my friends and relatives to go your country anymore..!

The worst embassy ever ! I called to the operator to ask things but she want to drop the call faster.and I call them to know things, she don’t want to answer my questions and want to drop the call faster and then she suddenly get angry and she said that I will never go to Thailand again she will cancel my visa! I mean what the F.

Worlds bad embassy of thailand in japan. They misguide people and beside having all documents they don’t accept my application form the staff is so rude and have no ethics to talk and deal with people. I recommend to everyone don’t apply visa from thai embassy japan. They are devils.

Fill in passport renewal form ahead of time; then book appointment time on the online system. On the day of the appointment, we were a few minutes late but the desk clerk had clear instructions where to go and we were done!

Terrible process of getting a visa and more paperwork required than for a PR. The staff is very unfriendly. They should modernize the system an allow online applications, considering it is 21st century...
