If you have thick, curly hair, I would not recommend. The individual who I saw seemed very overwhelmed by my hair type and texture. After a cut and color which I was charged nearly $250 for, my hair looked nothing like what I had asked for. I completely understand that working with certain hair types can pose a challenge and that you may not always be able to achieve the look that you desire. Had my stylist been honest with me that she could not get my hair to look that way, I would have understood. Afterwards, I was not satisfied so I decided to reach out to the salon/stylist. I emailed and called for over a month without receiving any response. The customer service at The Beauty Room was incredibly disappointing. The stylist was also a bit condescending, as she stated that she never received any of my attempts to contact her. Thankfully, with both emails and phone calls, you can provide proof. I was able to get a refund through my card company, thankfully. The Beauty Room and my stylist were less than helpful in resolving this issue. I will not be returning to The Beauty Room as I was very disappointed by my experience with them.

I went to Amanda Wippler with above shoulder curly hair dying for some better shape. Went 5 times to a curly hair salon not completely happy each time the last straw being not shaping my short hair anything like I wanted. Found Amanda and one other stylists profile on The Beauty Room website that I liked because they both stated curls and short hair as an interest to them. Booked with Amanda and my experience was 5 star. The Salon is beautiful, just my style. Amanda was very personable and really listened to my needs. Shaped my hair into my vision, added some defining balayage..had me in a week later to make some adjustments to my curls as they were naturally. Didn't push products but the salon has a nice wall of products in the lobby with descriptions on display very nice. I hope to make this my hair home. Loved it.

Happy is an understatement when I learned Renee Michelle Herskovitz was coming back from NYC to MN and landing at the Beauty Room. Renee has been cutting my hair for years and her talent for the perfect cut was readily apparent while she was in NYC. I bounced from stylist to stylist, never happy with the results. Why I try to justify the airfare for a haircut! Renee does a combination of wet and dry cutting and I am easily able to replicate the look on my own. Renee is so nice and listens to you; there is no attitude or judgment. Renee is worth the drive, for me more than 50 miles roundtrip, however it still beats airfare to NYC.

Erin did my hair yesterday and it turned out exactly like what I had hoped for. I had a terrible haircut a few days ago from a different place and I truly believed it was unfixable. It was way shorter than I wanted and uneven. Erin could tell I was apprehensive about getting my hair touched again and she did everything in her power to make me feel comfortable. She is a genuinely nice person who enjoys what she does, and most of all she is good at it. I absolutely love my cut and color. The actual place is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. There are a ton of places to park. Erin is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone.

Emily surpassed expectations on my hair with a fantastic, well thought out color correction - so happy with my end result. Added photos of the blended “after” she gave me. (the stripey is before, from another stylist at another location) Truly exactly what I asked for. Need a hair therapy from a botched color? Emily is your girl. Thank you!!!!

Used to love it hear- but last time I was in I didn’t get the service I requested. I scheduled a partial foil for $85 as quoted by the owner and was charged $130 for a half bayalage (what is that?). Called twice before speaking to the stylist who said I should have told her I didn’t want the service I didn’t know she was upcharging me for.

I got a lip flip done by Amanda and it was amazing. Super fast and easy, minimal pain and I had no swelling/bruising. She was super thorough and walked me through the whole process and answered all my questions. The procedure itself is subtle but helped boost my confidence a ton! I will definitely be back soon!

I’ve been going here for multiple years and they always have amazing stylists/colorists. They do cuts, color & extensions - currently I go here for both cut and color! Bailey specializes in Balyage, she’s amazing! And Isaac is amazing with hair cuts as well as bleach & tones.

I get the best cut and foil here from Lindsay. She always asks for your feedback throughout the service to make sure you get what you want. She also recommends great products that will change your hair styling game. Every cut and foil I get is exactly what I'm looking for.

I’ve had my haircut by Stephanie and my color by Bailey. Both did an excellent job! I appreciate stylists who listen closely and take time to consult with the customer. I also appreciate when stylists are honest with their feedback about what will look best.

Holly at the Beauty Room is the only person I trust with the highly esteemed honor of cutting my hair. She's amazing at her job and a great person. Also appreciate Beauty Room's high cleaning and sanitation standards especially in the middle of Covid.

2nd time I call and the receptionist is extremely rude. Such a bitchy attitude when i just had a question. Only reason why I'll be keeping my appointment is because I really enjoyed the consultation I had with the stylist.

Abby is the most qualified Hair Colorist of all times. I am so obsessed with her work and she is truly fun and passionate about it. For the perfect combo, I get my hair cut with Charlotte, she is so great!!!

Holly is the best!! She does my bleach and tone (which is not easy) - and I won't ever go to anyone else. She has years of experience in color, cuts, and extensions. I highly recommend her.

Nice salon where stylists rent space. It's well kept and quite comfortable. Small parking available in the back or street as well. Everyone is friendly and my stylist, Holly is fantastic.
