Last time was charged extra for "shark" in fish packs, fair enough. The portions were small and so he said he gave extra piece. He didn't lol then over charged for less food both pieces 8cm in length . Chips were over cooked and gross horrible food. Tonight, thought I'd pass it off as a one time thing but.. Chicken was dry and had absolutely no flavour not even the burned bits. The meat was gross and smelt. Chips were recooked chips with no Salt and the veggies were gross, was also told one price over phone and paid almost $10 more. Was charged for gravy even tho it's included. This place has gone to the pack since the last owners and it was already in bad shape. Will not be going back

Do not bother ordering from here! We ordered online at 6:40pm. By 8 pm the food still had not been delivered so we rang and spoke to a lady who said that tge order was being packed as we spoke. This was obviously a lie as we did not receive our food for another 30 mins! . We waited a total of 1hr and 50 mins to receive our order and when we took the food from the bag the outside of the box with the fish was covered in oil, the fish and chips were greasy and soggy and the chicken parmagiana was half its normal size. We will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I am so impressed with the pork snitty and gravy in roll special and their chips. We stopped on an impulse and received very friendly service. In particular I was very chuffed when the manageress came out to the children and gave my pup a pat and some treats. That small gesture was so humanizing and rare; something that earned instant gratitude and respect. Their food was fabulous

Worst people to deal with the owner (ONLY) didn't want to discuss why I had cold and soggy fish and chips deliverd through menu log, when going to the buisness after waiting 2hrs for the food to be deliverd I wanted to go take the food back and get a refund so i went to the shop and was refused entry to the shop by the owner and her husband saying I'm not welcome in and refused to give a refund. Thank God for menu log because I was able to get a refund and I left the food at the shop door. Food might be ok but not worth the hassle. Buyer beware.

The chook shed has new owners now and more reasonable opening hours,friendly service and good fish and chip type foods

I have heard several locals say this place sucks but I thought they were pretty good until just now when I waited over half an hour for a schnitzel pack because someone withbme later ordered chips After the 5th time I asked to just give us what's ready while we wait for the chips so I don't have a sub par schnitzel pack and she yelled "stop!" So I waited longer for a soggy schnitzel pack I didn't enjoy Good service....

The chicken was so tender and juicy not dry at all the salads were amazing and the amount you get is great would recommend there services

Freindly service. Great food served here, burgers are decent, chips are yummy, wedges packs are really good. Decent drink selection in the fridge. The chook shed also does delivery locally which is great if you can't get up there. Good selection of salads to choose from too. Menu has the usual suspects that a chicken shop has and prices are decent. Definitely recommend this place.

Seriously disappointing!!! Ordered home delivery @ 6:40pm this evening- it’s now 8:15pm & no show... I contacted them approximately 20 minutes ago & they said it was being sent then. My husband who is T2 Diabetic & reliant on food at regular time has gone to bed without eating, my elderly mum cannot wait any longer.... MAJOR FAIL - Will DEFINITELY NEVER use again!!!

Terrible food and worse customer service. The ordered food was soggy cold and had more salt in it than the dead sea and not only that but when the cook was called out on it you abused my other half because she wanted a refund for inedible food. How do you mess up gravy so bad? No idea how or why your foods gone to the dogs but I'll be suprised if even they eat it.

This may look like your standard fish and chips takeaway but this is my number one place for chips. They always taste great and are always consistent, While you wait you can spot out all the "Easter eggs" around the shop. There are a couple of tables where you can sit and eat or just take it away. The is a small grocery store next door however they do close early.

Bought a chook this avro and it was pink and a bit of blood in the legs, dog loved it. Ive noticed that the chooks during the week are great cooked all the way through, weekends they are always under cooked, pink and somtimes blood, so wont be buying again. Fish is great, steak sandwich is great, casear salad is great, chips need to be cooked a bit longer

This place is so stingy. $5 of chips would normally be enough for my family of 4 as a side with chicken, now it’s only enough to feed to kids. I rang up thinking there was a mistake but apparently the manager “Jason” has changed the sizing. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not come back ever again. I wish it would let me tag photos in this review!

Jason has a heart of gold. I was trying to organise a Christmas lunch for a very lonely elderly client for Christmas Day and not only did Jason make useful suggestions, he showed real Christmas spirit by agreeing to deliver it as well. Who ever the new girl is here has ruined the service for me. The boys use to have it all together and lovely service. She made inappropriate jokes about the way I pronounced items on the menu and even gave me lip about the fact she didn't understand what I ordered. It's a shame because I use to love this place.

I didn’t enjoy this place at all!!! The hotdog was way too expensive for what it was and the bun was disgustingly dry. It all tasted very bad and we had to throw it out after a few bites. I’ve wasted my money on this place and I do not recommend that anyone should eat here. Waste of money and time !!!!

The owner is the kindest man I have ever met, he is always looking out for his customers, especially kids that wag school, he has a friendly chat lol and the food my god it's great, I have never tasted potato fritters anywhere in Adelaide these rock! So crunchy, now I want some lol 10 out of 10 xx

Ordered at 6:30pm, came to 7:50pm and nothing. Called to ask about our order and they said it has "just left". The place is only 5 minutes away. Took an extra 30 mins. They obviously lied and had just cooked it when we called. This is the second time this has happened. Never ordering again.

They forgot half my order, chips and gravy and chicken chipees but kept the coin of course .. Chook is moist but not tasty fritters were greasy ... I won't be back here .. -1☆ Not even to get my 8 bucks back

Bought a Chicken burger from there tonight and it was terrible. The bun was soggy, tomato was old and turning mushy, bacon was all slimy, it also had old lettuce. Absolutely disgusting. This was all after taking the first burger back due to the lady putting sauce instead of Mayo.

Very fussy and think how loverly the lady serving was catered to my fussy way...served a scrumptious chicken yuro wrap with salad and garlic sauce...was so tasty clean yummy food,won me and I'm fussy as I said...Go Chook Shed...keep the smiles and yummy chook coming. A new fan..

Our local shop so we have tried to support it. However, we've had undercooked chicken, and the amount of chips you get is now ridiculously small. The $8 large is what you would get somewhere else as a minimum chips. Sorry, but we will not be giving any more chances :(

My favourite lil spot for potato's/chips n gravy! So delicious for a really good price and wouldn't go anywhere else. Super friendly workers too Highly recommend!

Went there on 27/2/22 @6pm and ordered 2 chicken packs.I had the quarter chicken with chips,and my partner got the half chicken with peas,corn and carrot.They were both DELICIOUS meals.Great Service with a smile.They deserve 10 stars not 5.

Best yiros I've had in ages. The schnitzel pack we had was also very tasty and generous. The staff are very friendly too. Well done...we'll be coming back soon!

Was pretty average food fish smelt funny not sure if i was just put off by the runny batter on the inside of the crispy part hard to explain but was not sick in the night thats a bonus. However friendly staff and fast good service.

We got the hot packs. Was very enjoyable and the gravy is soo good. Very friendly staff. Only bit of feed back would be breath holes or leave packs open for a few mins. Thankyou for a very enjoyable meal.

It's not even 5PM on a Saturday afternoon, and after trying to call seven times and my call not being picked up each time, I gave up and decided to take my business elsewhere.

Was going to get a couple "woollies" chooks for Christmas but on recommendation from a friend, I paid a lot more from here. Very disappointed, under cooked, tough, tasteless.

Ordered a yiros pack from here and I found 3 hairs right at the bottom of my order under the chips I will never order from here again! Absolutely disgusting …

The best chicken we have tasted in ages, free range, consistent flavour, great service, great price.........what more could you want?......MORE!!! WE WILL BE BACK.
