I’ve learned of the Irish Plumber from one of my neighbors who used their services a couple of years ago. They have re-done almost the whole plumbing of my house, a bungalow built in 1965 in Kanata, after it went through a basement flooding this spring. The works were comprised of namely: 1) replacing building drain from water meter to base of main plumbing with 4 inch Abs pipe; 2) replacing kitchen stack and floor drain; 3) installing a Mainline backwater valve with inspection box on sanitary, and 4) installing customer supplied electric hot water tank. Michael and his helper (Michael) were very professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. Everything was completed on time, in two days, as indicated. The quote was lower than some of the competitors, fair, and tied up to the work that was performed. It gets hard work to chip-in and re-surface at least 50 feet of cement floor. The area was cleaned up after the works were completed. In conclusion, I can only say that the Irish Plumber has done a great job. I am strongly recommending this company’ services.

A very professional and personable team of plumbers . Michael and his assistant arrived on time and quickly assessed the job and provided a fair quote on the spot. The installation of our new shower tower progressed quickly and when an unexpected complication arose, Michael consulted with us to arrive at the best solution. Perhaps the best part of the experience occurred after the job had been completed. Upon using the shower for the first time, we decided that we were not happy with the placement and wanted it moved a little down and to one side. After contacting their office, arrangements were made for Michael to return first thing the next business day. They moved the tower exactly as we wanted and DID NOT CHARGE US for the return visit even though their was no fault on his part. First class work from first class individuals. If you need any plumbing job done, big or small you need look no further than Michael and his team at The Irish Plumber.

Wanted a few toilets changed, a vanity installed and a piped fixed. Got the appointment within a reasonable delay. The young plumber was Ok, seemed knowledgeable He had a friendly apprentice with him. The only thing that I really didn't like was that the plumber doing the work had to call everything in for prices and it didn't feel like the company trusted him to be professional. Considering we had a very young plumber and an apprentice, I felt the costs were high and it all felt a bit like a scam. They also wouldn't give a ballpark range for prices until they showed up to do the work (a toilet install should still have a range - the plumber on site actually had a price range but not on the phone). They also charged a $40 fee for coming over. I think that fee is fair if you don't go ahead with the work but feels ridiculous as an add-on to an overpriced plumbing service. I wouldn't go out of my way to call them back.

It can be difficult to find a quality contractor to trust with your home which is why reviews and word-of-mouth is so important to narrow down candidates. That said, The Irish Plumber is very highly rated and deservedly so. Right from the call-out to quote on the work (basement bathroom rough-in), up to scheduling and completion of the work, everything was spot-on. Price-wise, Michael's quote was very competitive and reasonable compared with the other quotes we received without the feeling that corners were going to be cut. Quality-wise, we were very impressed by the professionalism, attention to detail and how accommodating Michael was to doing the job the way we wanted (even with last minute changes). Michael had a great apprentice to help out (Thomas) and they made sure to leave our house tidy at the completion of the job. Highly recommended without a doubt!

We had outstanding service from The Irish Plumber which started from the first phone call where everything was clearly explained and an appointment set up almost right away (they also contacted us the day before to confirm everything was good to go). Our plumber (Mike) was able to arrive early (he called first to ensure that was okay, of course), quickly assessed the two jobs we needed doing, and provided a reasonable, up-front estimate before doing any work. He was extremely polite, professional, and did an excellent job that we are completely happy with. He completely cleaned up and ensured the job was fully completed to my satisfaction before he left and we were able to simply e-transfer the money to pay the invoice (minor thing, but makes it simple). I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing work done.

There is nothing that can prepare you for frozen sewer pipes. My toilet began to flood after flushing and as my washer began to empty, all of the water came rushing out of the toilet flooding my kitchen and leaking into my basement. I had no idea what to do and how to make it stop!! I called the Irish Plumber in a panic and he walked me through shutting the main water supply off and assured me he would come as soon as he could. I have never seen anyone work so hard to resolve a problem in my life. Mike worked tirelessly from morning till night trying to unplug the lines and finally had to dig through frozen soil to replace the frozen pipe. Mike is the most patient person I have ever met. Words cannot express my gratitude!!

The company was very professional in terms of their reception and the plumber was on-time and extremely polite. My problem was the ridiculous price estimate to sweat off the cap on two pipes and replace them with shut off valves under our sink. I think this would have been a 30 minute job at most including all preparations and the estimate was $400, which is on-top of the call out fee of $60. When I initially called, I had asked to get an idea of the cost but they said they cannot estimate the cost until they are on-site. When I heard the $400 cost I refused to have the work done. Instead I just paid the call out fee and did the work myself.

After searching online for a plumber to fix a leaky handle in my shower, I remembered that I saw The Irish Plumber’s truck outside a neighbours house a couple of weeks ago, and decided to give them a try. The fact that I was able to have an early morning next day appointment was a definitely bonus for me. Michael was very polite and worked diligently to fix my issue, even explaining what was wrong and how it was fixed. He was up front with with all pricing and I felt very comfortable dealing with him. I will definitely use them in the future for any plumbing issues that I have.

This being my first experience with the company, I was very impressed and satisfied with the services provided. I had called in the morning for a quote and had the work completed by the end of the afternoon. Michael and Greg were courteous, respectful and professional. Several options for the work to be done were provided with no sales pressure. My questions were fully answered to my satisfaction. Work was completed in a timely manner and areas were left tidy. Looking forward to testing the new laundry tub and sum pump.

Called about a week ago to move an external faucet and cap a gas line leading to an outdoor BBQ to accommodate a new deck. Michael from the Irish Plumber responded quickly and set up an appointment. Showed up late and quoted us around $200 to replace a gasket for a water supply valve and toilet connector hose. We declined. Not sure if this is a fair quote (maybe it is), but I did it myself by watching youtube and spent less than $20 on parts. Nothing bad to say about the company, just sharing my experience so people will have an idea of the cost. There is also a $60 dollar trucking fee which I think is standard.

Our plumbing problems were handled efficiently and professionally. He was punctual, polite and mindful of keeping work areas clean. He put up with my many questions and my hovering about while he worked. The prices were very fair. Perhaps most of all, I found Mike to be a nice guy. I am definitely going to recommend this company and will have them help us out with our office plumbing needs in the future.

I called the Irish Plumber to help me out with a faucet installation and Michael was able to accommodate me on the same day! Michael was able to install the faucet very quickly and it was done at an agreed upon price. He even supplied and installed better shut-off valves than the ones I had. I would definitely recommend the Irish Plumber and will use them again for any future plumbing work.

Impressive! A major job that required basement trenching for a new bathroom, laundry room and relocating the hot water tank. Mike did it all in the time projected and left it prepped for the finishing of the rooms. My original symptoms were contradictory. Michael took the time to identify two independent issues - which explained the contradictory symptoms . He promptly fixed them both. He highlighted his 2 yr warranty. This reassured me he fixed the problems to last. Great to know if I need a plumber again I know who to call and I'd recommend him to friends for quality work.

The plumbing team arrived later than the given window, but that's expected in their line of work. They were kind enough to waive the $50 call up fee for that. in addition, they also fixed a leak that was not due to their action without charge. they are confident in their work and has a 2 year warranty.

Fast and friendly service - we had a main sewer piper crack, so we decided to re-route the whole stand in the basement - he did all the work himself, including breaking the floor, pouring the cement and cleaning up in one day with little no no interruption to our lives. Great work!

We had a nasty basement drain back up on a Sunday afternoon and Michael was able to get out to fix it on short notice. He did a great job fixing our plumbing problem that day when nobody else was available until the next day.
