Mum died on 2nd May 2015. I called these guys because of the beautiful, wicker casket on the website. Turns out it was an excellent decision. Everything about my experience of these guys was great. Colin was frank, helpful, and patient and put up with all my indecisiveness and disorganisation, and was still giving me advice and letting me change my mind about things even on the morning of the service. Absolutely none of the awful, unspoken pressure to buy a stiff looking, fancy wooden casket like I experienced with with my Dad's funeral years ago with another funeral company. Colin actually recommended the free cardboard casket, but we chose to buy the wicker basket. We had a service at Centennial Park with the casket up the front, and loads of people commented on how beautiful it was and asked for the name of the funeral director so they could use them. I called another funeral director for a quote, and it was all sympathy and sales talk. So glad I went with these guys.

I contacted this company on the recommendation of a friend whom had recently attended one of their funerals and said it was beautiful. From the first contact I felt the company was very professional, responded to my many questions rapidly, even on weekends, and just seemed kind and compassionate. Our celebrant was Joelie and all the feedback from people who attended was that the service was one of the most beautiful they had attended. On the cost side of things, there were no surprises, everything was clear and although this was the first funeral I had arranged, from what others have said, the cost was very low. I wanted to dress my person who died and be with them for a time. This company went out of their way to make this happen, no rush, just absolute respect for our family and our deceased. This experience has left me feeling in awe of the amazing people who work here because its clearly more than a job, its a calling. Highly recommended.

Mum had left instructions to use The Natural Funeral Company when she had passed, and I can see why she had picked them out. From the first point of contact with Colin on the phone, to the organising in person with Grace, they proceeded with a gentleness and understanding you need at such a sensitive time. I was intimidated at first at the thought of planning a funeral, but Grace guided us through and did all the heavy lifting during the process. She was clearly very experienced and was able to provide lots of advice. The funeral proceeded without a single hitch to speak of, which allowed us to instead focus on saying goodbye to mum. Everyone commented on what a lovely service it was and how it was just what mum would have wanted - it couldn't have been done without Grace and the team, thank you so much.

It really is a tough situation to deal with when a family member passes away. Making decisions so soon is very hard. I made the initial enquiries on behalf of Mum who was struggling dealing with the loss of her son. This was the first time we have used the Natural Funeral Company. We are satisfied we made the right choice. Based on our experience we would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. Saying goodbye to my Nan was so hard. I've never have to organise a funeral before and I was so unsure of where to start. But I am so glad that we went with The Natural Funeral Company. Because in all honesty, Grace was an absolute godsend. She was so patient, so caring and it felt like family, helping family. She treated my Nan with the utmost respect and care as she did the family left behind. The service was wonderful and one that my Nan would have been proud of. We had a tricky family setup to navigate so required genuine help with planning the funeral. I even felt alittle sorry for our funeral director at times but what a man, what a team. Dealt with everything as specified by his terminally ill client, was direct and civil when family members were requesting other options, offered suggestions as a professional when we were unsure on the answer. Professional, comforting and they seem to take a real interest in the personality of the person that has passed. Would definitely recommend Colin for anyone going through such an emotional experience.

To all who cared for me and my family when my mum passed suddenly a big thanks. Right from the two people who picked up mum from home to the wake following the service everything was done right. My family phoned a few funeral directors when it happened and these guys were the most direct in answering the questions we had without the sales talk. I don't think I've ever been to a more unprofessional funeral. There were jokes made, inappropriate comments to the young children of the deceased, we were sat on top of other graves rather than the foot of them and the children were not acknowledged until the very end and that was very flippant at best. If this was a budget funeral then I hope it didn't cost much at all. We went away shaking our heads and said our own goodbyes in our own way later
