It is a local pub with relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Dishes are classic pub fare, perfectly prepared. Good value, too. Edit: Returned again for a 3 generation family lunch. We had excellent service and everyone was happy with the meals. The squid schnitzel was the favourite (and one of the reasons we booked in there). What looks like a modern building is actually quite old and was known as the Kent Hotel. It was modernised into an Art Deco building and a staircase still remains from that era. There are photos on the walls documenting how this hotel changed with the times.

Treated like a princess My father be over the ...no negatives at all.. not one person unhappy every one smiling treated too good .hot day didn't feel like communicate cation but my attitude changed at bar had Chat amazing two lady's bar staff ..if U want fair service or best in Adelaide pop in won't be sad ..best two bar staff I've came across ..in shock too good .dad be happy thanks anchor ox

Myself and my partner went to the port Anchor this evening for a meal, both having the roast lamb. The service was excellent, We were very well looked after and the food was beautiful! We finished with the sticky date pudding which was outstanding. We will defently be back very well priced, good sized portions. Very rare to be able to get a good pub meal for the price these days.

They have been closed during the Covid ordeal but finally they have reopened, albeit on minimal customers and staff. They did not disappoint, as usual they have the best food and the friendliest staff, all for an extremely reasonable price. Highly recommended, can't wait for our next meal there. 6 stars out of 5!!

Food is typical pub fare but very reasonably priced. Most mains are around $20. The dining room is clean and neat although not particularly elegant or stylish. There is a small hot and cold buffet consisting of vegetables and side dishes for the meals. Service is quick and friendly. Popular with pensioners.

One of the port's great hidden attractions. Its tucked away off the main drag but its a great place for a reasonably priced, very tastu lunch. Next time you're in the port and looking for good old fashioned pub lunch give it a go, no place for trendies.

The person serving behind the bar was coughing while making coffee , didn't put hand over his mouth, the toastie was lovely. Couldn't drink the coffee as we were put off, he didn't make the toastie so was ok to eat.

Go there for birthday at least once a month. One meal sent back to tough, Snitzel, second one needed a steak knife to cut. 4 of our group who always get lemon, lime and bitters complained that their drinks didn't taste right. Reply was

The food is AMAZING and they have an Awesome salad and veg bar which is full of delicious food. Staff are Very friendly and helpful. It’s so clean and you can even see into the kitchen which not many places have that kind of openness.

The best tuna patties ever! Large serving, great prices, quick service. Salad bar has a good assortment of fresh salads to choose from or roast vegies. Nice well presented pub. Well worth a visit for a meal, you won't be disappointed.

Chef cant even stick crumbs to meat . Evey schnitzel decrumbs it self while you eat it so your left with a pile of greasey crumbs and a anaemic poached bit of meat. This place used to be 4 star at least but barely 1 now

Had dinner here when I lived in area, perhaps once a week. Revisited last Sat 1st Dec as usual beer battered fish, out of this world. Fancy chips too. Salad and veg bar still the best. Staff great, always.

Had a lovely pork roast. One person had barramundi and avocado she said it was the best. Nice hot meal, friendly service. Clean premises, nicely set out table spacing.

Used to be a great pub with great value meals. Now the prices have gone up significantly and a $20+ basic meal comes with 8 chips or 1.5 icecream scoops of mash.

Introduced the squid schnitzel to someone new and they loved it as much as me!!! Never fails to impress!
