The Professional Locksmith sent an unqualified technician to install a multi-point lock for us. He didn't realize that the handedness of the lock was interchangeable and stated that he couldn't install it on our door. I later figured out how to change the handedness in just a few minutes of watching YouTube videos. It required multiple phone calls to get a refund for the $45 service call charge. Along the way, I was surprised to learn that The Professional Locksmith is under the same management as Quick Key Locksmith & Security Chicago.

We needed a top lock (jimmy bolt I believe it’s called) and knob rekeyed. What was initially going to be a simple job became more than originally thought and involved a lot of troubleshooting. Nathan was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining everything and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done not only correctly, but up to his standards (which are high). You’ll get nothing but quality service with Nathan. I would have no hesitation calling The Professional Locksmith again.

I’m so aggravated right now these people had me wait from 11am to tell me at 6pm there’s no one available I made an appointment for 4pm-5pm called at 430 just to confirm. It was confirmed to get a call saying it’s a HOLIDAY and no one is available !!!!!! THIS IS CRAZY on top of all that she tells me on the phone it’s the technician not us. I literally had this same service on the same care and the guy came in your Professional Locksmith truck. What a Day.

Nathan from The Professional Locksmiths came out to replace an exterior lock. There were some complications that made it difficult to rekey. Nathan was friendly, courteous, and informative throughout the entire process. Additionally, and most impressive - he was tenacious and wouldn’t leave until he got the job done right. I am a satisfied customer!

John and Lee were awesome, quick, efficient and answered all questions. Installed a deadbolt keypad which seems like a great product, and they had it in the van with them. Also rekeyed a few other locks in the house. In an out in under an hour. And I was able to get them to come in same day too. 10/10 would recommend.

Nathan did a great job at fixing our building door. He was thorough in his assessment, identified the problem quickly and fixed it on the same day. He was very patient throughout the process even though he had to run back and forth to grab the parts and it took much longer than anticipated. Highly recommend Nathan!

Nathan was extremely helpful in helping us fix our door and re-align the strike plates with the deadbolt. He also gave us the rundown on our options if we should just replace the cyclinder or get a new lock all together! We will use him again once we decide on our next steps.

I had a lock replaced a few months back by them and it failed. They came out did the right thing and didn’t charge for replacing it. Nathan did amazing work. It was absolutely professional the entire time. Highly recommend this company and hopefully you’ll get Nathan!

Our technician was phenomenal! I sadly did not get his name, but he was able to educate my fiancé and myself about how it all worked, next steps, and truly so easy to work with. Hopefully we don’t have to use them again, but if we do, I’m calling them first!
