Went to take my mother in law out for dinner for Mother’s Day. I called this morning on the mobile number on their Instagram page spoke to a lady and booked a table for 7 adults 2 kids she replied with a table for 10.. okay! We arrived at 6:45pm for a 7pm booking to be told that we don’t actually have a reservation, but the gentleman said not to worry he will sort out a table for us. No one attended to our table to give us a menu or take drinks order I had to ask a worker, he gave us 2 menus. We pretty much knew what we wanted to order, but continued to wait for someone to come and take our order, finally after 20mins someone came to take our order. I ordered two platters, shopska salad 2 bowls of chips, soft drinks & cocktails. We waited 1.5hrs for our food as we asked where our food was as people around us that came after us had already ate and left we still waited. They all looked confused as our order had been lost they then said it will be 15-20mins for the food to come out but they will bring complimentary bowl of 4 rock hard potatos and a plate of bread with cheese.. now the food was great.. not to mention the jug of coke no sugar came out flat and we asked for the kids 2 bowls of chips to come as the kids were getting restless, the man comes out with wedges saying they don’t have any more chips and this is the last serving that they had, again fine. Then come to ask for the bill he brings the receipt to the table I check it and go to pay as it totaled to $217 we thought they have given us a discount for the total muck around, bad service and inconvenience I get to till to pay he realises he gave me the wrong bill and our bill was $350 with Mother’s Day surcharge to add to it.. To say I’m quiet disappointed is an understatement the service was absolutely terrible. It’s such a shame!

Last night I have visited this restaurant for my grandmothers 70th birthday. This was the first time I have visited this restaurant and will be the last! We ordered drinks and waited over an hour and half to get them. We had missing drinks that we kept following up on, which also took another half and hour of our time to get told they sold out. Ordered a jug of coke to get given no cups. Once again followed up to get cups to being told they need to wash them as they don’t have clean ones. We ordered our food with our drinks, we waited 2 hours and still didn’t receive any food!!!! We have watched people being seated way after us to them already getting there drinks and full meals before us and we were still waiting for our food and our missing drinks 2 hours into our booking! We have all one by one got up to talk to staff to ask what was going on and why it’s taking to long. All we got was staff thinking it was a funny joke and says a half a** apology and still issue not resolved. The music was so loud to the max in the restaurant that we had to yell to talk at the table….last time I checked this was a restaurant not a nightclub. The staff was useless and not helpful at all. We ended up leaving and going to the RSL instead and got the best service and our correct drinks! We also got our food within half an hour of being there. I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone! I will definitely be spreading the word of how horrible the restaurant and service was!!

I’ll never go back! I was a customer before the move to Horsley park and never had any issues with the food or service. Since they moved the food and service had dramatically downgraded and that is why I’ll never return. I turned up for my booking ontime was seated and ordered and they asked if I wanted my sons chicken nuggets and chips first as the mixed grill would take longer. I accepted. One hour passed… I asked where we my sons chips and nuggets where they bought them out and the chips and nuggets were bone cold. I asked if they could change them and they came back with the chips warmed up but the nuggets still bone col and was told the food would be 20 minutes more wait. I was so disappointed they served my son cold food and only re heated chips but what really annoyed me was others who came after us we’re getting food before us. Never again! The old shop was perfect the service and food was excellent! I’m Slavic and if I were the owners I’d be embarrassed serving cold food…. In our culture it’s just embarrassing! And what on earth happened to the music? There is no atmosphere none what so ever!

Be prepared to get the trifecta… Terrible service. Cold flavourless food. Loooong wait times. You. Have. Been. Warned. …and you will be charged exorbitantly for the pleasure. Our reservation was for 7pm. Table gets cleaned but not set up. Ignored for a good half hour. Drinks order taken but not advised for half an hour that one of the isn’t available AND got charged for it! Finally some of us received our food after waiting an 1 1/2 hours for the food to be brought out and it was cold and flavourless. Half the table ate as the other half watched them eat. Garbage on a plate. Wait staff don’t know anything about menu items The entertainment was abominable. I have a headache. You’re better off to have a peanut butter sandwich and stay in. The rave reviews are either family, paid or reference the Canley Vale one from a lifetime ago. 0 Stars if it were possible.

Disgraceful service. I had to rearrange the tables to be comfortable. Had to ask for glasses and table water,wine glasses, then a plate. Waiter spilled food all over table and missed my out fit when brought sizzling dish. I had to ask him to clean up and bring me a clean plate and cutlery. He screwed his nose up. When dishes arrived there was confusion. Taken back 3 times to kitchen to sort out as couldn't see the cashew nuts. Finally found one at bottom of dish. Five of our dishes had 1cm chips on the rims. Of bowls and plates. Finally my masuman curry arrived 25 mins after all my guests had finished eating . I had to ask 5 different waiters where my food was. I Got ignored. Not good enough. Finally the music was unbearably loud. In considerate towards the guests. We left hurriedly. Only good thing is my massuman curry was very tasty. Lift your game.

Wow... we had SKARA and it was de-lish! We chose the LOVEČKA which is a meat patty FILLED with cheese so when it's cut, the cheese oozes out - just YUM! The bread was soft with crisp crust which accompanied perfectly. We also got MAKALO which is a watered-down yoghurty dip with garlic and it allowed the taste buds to tingle with another delight The RAKIJA had a beautiful smell and was easy to drink compared to some Need to go back and try the Thai menu next time Food aside, the Female (Thai) owner is such a beautiful soul and welcomed us and made sure our time there was enjoyable The musician that was playing was a joy to listen to as he was a one man band and did amazingly - AMZA well done Ambience wise it is smaller than I thought but so clean and has a warm feeling All staff were very accommodating Definitely will be going back - 10 out of 10

I miss the old shop. Please bring back the bbq window section, that is why we come there, it made us feel welcome & excited to see the bbq being made, people love seeing things like that. Too much wasted space around the band, there should be seats there, please Low the music volume down, if people are comfortable they will buy more products. Used to be a cozy place but now its all spread out too much & you feel alone even if your table is full of frends. Please we need the front door closed as its too cold in the winter the air blows in all the way inside where ever you sit. Needs more tables close together. Add posters of tourist places on the walls.

If I could rate this place more than 5 start I definitely would. This place has amazing food and experience! A fabulous mix of Thai and Balkan food, they had a large variety of choices. The quality of the food first class all served with fresh ingredients, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach so the portion sizes were HUGE which is really good and great value for money. The service was also first class as I was always checked up on by the waiters and the owner if I needed anything else the owner of this place is very genuine and friendly as I had a great chat with her. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone especially families.

I love the unique fusion of cultures at this restaurant celebrating delicious Thai and European Macedonian grill cuisine! I also really enjoyed the beautiful live traditional Balkan music making me feel like I was in Europe. The European mixed grill platter was so impressive - an amazing variety of meats and flavours, perfect for sharing! The Thai dishes were just as stunning in presentation and taste. A very uniquely plated pad thai, beautifully steamed fish, moreish pineapple fried rice, super tasty pork belly, and crunchy entrees to name a few! Definitely had a great time here and highly recommend for good food and good vibes.

I attended this restaurant for a combined birthday lunch. This place ticks all the boxes - food, drinks, service and ambiance are all fantastic! The owner, Penny, makes you feel like you're dining around the dining table with family. She personalises your experience and ensures you feel comfortable and satisfied. Penny was extremely helpful when catering for my allergies, letting me know what I could and couldn't have. I highly recommend Skara Rama 5 if you have a love, interest or curiosity in Macedonian and/or Thai food. If you value great food and excellent service, this is the place for you!

When we finally got some food, it was ok, but we had to ask twice to get just some bread untill we got our meal. Our meal finally came after nearly 2 hours wait!! And they didn't get it right. But I just ate what I finally got. My friends went for the Serbian music and food, while the musician was good, it was way too loud and constant. So we basically couldn't talk for the whole two hours wait. Terrible organisation, they were even visibly arguing in the kitchen. I don't think I'll go back

We went here tonight without a reservation. The staff pointed out a specific table and said the table would be free after the current customers, so we left our name and number. We waited 30 minutes and saw the table leave, but didn't receive a call so we asked after another 10 minutes (to allow for clean up and such). We were then told that the table was in fact booked, and we were out of luck after 40 minutes of waiting. Extremely unprofessional. I have been here before and the food is relatively decent but overpriced when you consider other similar options in the area (would recommend twelve spices or lao village)

Great Korean fried chicken. Manager was beyond amazing. Atmosphere is somewhere between a restaurant & fast food outlet. It's a bit noisy, people seemed to eat & run.

I used to come a lot to Canley vale , service was amazing, food was fantastic and atmosphere was on point. So I thought I’d bring my mum for her Mother’s Day dinner at their new venue. This place had made me so embarrassed for bringing my mother there I will never be back this is the last time I will come. Took 20 mins to get table water , asked multiply times for it , then they forgot to tell us that they ran out a certain dish after waiting for an hour . Food was salty and cold. Use to love this place but not after tonight’s service / experience wouldn’t come back again

Great place to take your family for some Euro/Asian cuisine in one place. Perfect location plenty of free parking. Kids safe and enough room for them to play around without worrying. Traditional Balkanic spirits ( rakija ) must try it Balkanic Music which is perfect for great Atmosphere . Food is amazing! The owner and service are friendly. HOWEVER… the live music is extremely loud! Even though ppl got up and danced but I could tell when I looked around to table even our table .. ppl rarely talked to each other. For me .. what’s the point to have dinner together when you can’t even enjoy the food and talk with your family and friends at same time? Wouldn’t come back here again ! Come for Mother’s Day dinner and it was terrible never again ! Ordered 3 lemon lime and bitters never received it . After hearing great reviews, i decided to take the family out to enjoy both thai and balkan traditional foods. Unfortunately one's expectations were not met, especially with the mains. Thai too sweet, Balkan too bland; all the desserts we wanted to order were unavailable also, a thai restaurant with no fried icecream :(. Overall disappointment, hoping that was a one off day due to the weekend heatwave. Please check your glasses and jugs prior to serving to ensure they are clean. P.s amazing thai chilli chicken wings for entree

horrible service took close to 2 hours for our starters which is absolutely discombobulated, many people wanted to argue with my table as we got our food first which I believe is unacceptable will never come back here again I only like their bread very fresh. Ran out of resources very quickly and tried to negotiate with my table and kept promising a certain time for when our food will be delivered to our table. Just terrible! They obviously tried to make a killing on Fathers day and failed. Very slow service, to many tables, not enough staff. Took over 2hrs to get the mains. We walked out. Never again. It took over 20 minutes just to get table water after asking four times. It was loud and the seats were very uncomfortable. Oh and the toilets - disgusting. Just don't bother.

Had the mixed grill for four, brought some friends and everybody loved the food! The meat is to die for and the bread is served hot. Typically European with the live music. (If you don't like it loud then you might not love it like we did). Also had cold beers, cocktails and mixed drinks (they have a great selection of drinks and dessert also), just a shame we couldn't even finish the platter to try some of the Thai because we were bursting at the seams!

Thai and Macedonian cuisine is fantastic. I’ve tried about 11 dishes and been there for various functions over the last 7 months. So food is fantastic, live music is fantastic as well but at times a little too loud. Waiters are good always going beyond to assist. Overall great experience. Love it and will be going there again for sure. Last time we had the meet barbecue it was cooked perfect with old family produced marinated and seasoned perfectly.

Service was barley existent despite it not being busy. Food was below average.sausage on the meat platter was like rubber and the chicken skewers were raw. Been here a few times a while ago and it seems to of just gone downhill. Definitely the last time ill be back. Only enjoyable things Were the cocktails hence the 2 star review. The mezze board was also half decent. The man who took our order was very nice.

This venue is an amazing experience and so unique, with a combination of authentic Thai and Macedonian food. Great live music and really friendly staff, you will even get to meet the owner Penny, who makes this venue even more special. This is definitely one of my favourite dining spots, also be sure to try the honey Rakia. 10/10

Have been here a few times now and it has been amazing every single time! It has an extremely unique offering as it offers a mix of both Macedonian and Thai cuisine. The Hokkien noodles with chicken were some of the best I have tasted, the same goes for the Mixed Grill. On top of that the customer service is great with the owners and employees being very friendly. This place is definitely worth a go!

Went here for fathers Day, 1 hour 45 minutes to get 6 glasses of water, 1 coke, and a white wine, 2 hours for 1 entree, what a joke, told them, not paying and walked out, they over booked the hole restaurant and couldn't manage how many people were there. Tolits are also disgusting, and stuff was hopeless, DONT GO HERE

We had a great night a couple of weeks ago .Service was great ,food was awsome we had a mixed platter for 4 and it fed 6 of us with some added fries.We had a few drinks and nice music .for $300 reasonable.The only thing it’s bigger now and it was very cold ,not cozy like the old place.And yes the music needs to pause sometimes so we’re not shouting constantly.

Absolutely loved this place iv always wanted to try Macedonian food,so my friend recommended this place. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes. The food was mediocre at best. The crispy pork with vegetables and oyster sauce was probably a 3 out of 5 but the duck curry was not even a 2. It was so diluted and bland. The best thing on the table was the fresh chilli.

Had a really good time at the restaurant, the mix meat grill was amazing loved it! Good atmosphere friendly service and staff looked after us. The music was the best the owners wife got everyone dancing very welcoming we will defently coming back with a bigger group of friends next time.

What a wonderful fusion of Balkan and Thai food! We came in for lunch and had a number of diverse dishes. Everything was tasty, portions were large, and the service was friendly and fast. Looking forward to attending on a weekend evening when they have live music too.

Amazing place to eat in Sydney, the food is great! The owner was walking around making sure everyone was taken care of. Live band was also great, it’s great to celebrate Balkan culture in Sydney along with some Thai food!

Oh man the food was watered down. Absolutely no flavour. No chilli taste not even salt! I've never been to a Thai restaurant that had Ox Tongue that smelt so bad we didn't even tried it. So gross... But at least the service was ok. Then

Horrible service took 1 hour and 20 mins for a mixed grill. Asked 2 waitresses to ask for where the food is got no response. We just left and said we aren’t paying for it.

Cavernous restaurant with lots of open space. It's never at capacity bit somehow the waiters don't come when you want them and food is slow to the table. Staff are friendly. Food isn't remarkable. But at least you don't have to queue.

The live performers were so loud we had to walk back out and ask for takeaway. The food here is good but unlikely to return. It’s so loud you can’t even order food properly let alone have a conversation with the people at your table.

Skara Rama5 Is the best place to be if you want great food, Drinks and etc..., They have really friendly and awesome staff there and a singer live there too, I highly recommend Skara Rama5. Also, Thank you so much for making my 30TH

Interesting to find a restaurant with dual cuisine. This is not a fusion of cuisines but two separate menus.

Where do I begin… Waited 2 hours for drinks, asked 3 different waiters who were totally run off their feet.
