I am only going to review the stadium and the facilities itself. They were perfect. Immaculate grounds, the bathroom facilities were like a five-star hotel. Absolutely wonderful. The courtyard in front of the stadium was again wonderful and the parking structure for the stadium was state of the art and confusingvas hell but more than adequate. Overall very well kept grounds. The stadium deserves a five-star rating. The reason why I'm only reviewing the stadium and not the experience is because the experience should be a negative zero if there is such a thing. Horrible inept hired security personnel who didn't know where to direct me. I ended up in the confusing main parking structure. It's separated into three different areas for the stadium events, the dorms and a oned off area for employees of a company whose name I can't recall. I got lost a total of three times, two of those times ending up where the dorms are, thinking I was headed back to the front of the structure but it was on the side of it. If it wasn't so hot and humid and I wasn't wearing a knee brace I would've walked the incline, but I honestly didn't know where I was in relation to the entrance of the parking structure! I arrived at the school at 1:15 pm for my nephew's football game that started at 1 p.m. I knew my family was going to be tailgating so I was directed to the tailgating section. They weren't there. I drove down to the entrance of the stadium where I was informed by yet another security personnel that the tailgating section is in the same place that I had just left but I needed to ask one of the security personnel. Like an idiot I did exactly what he said and I ended up at the exact same spot, on a crest overlooking the stadium on the home side. It was now 2:25 in the afternoon and I finally figured out the parking structure and rode a golf cart shuttle to the stadium entrance. I was informed by a very helpful gentleman that there is No visitor tailgating section because the visiting school didn't inform the University of San Diego that they Needed a tailgating section. They also told me that I couldn't enter with some brownies I made for my nephew so I had to return them to the car in the dreaded parking structure. I had had it and texted my family that I was just going drive the two and a half hours back home because it had been too frustrating, but thankfully they talked me out of it. My younger nephew came and found me and walked me in to the game. After all these delays I walked into the stadium at 1 minute past 3 p.m. By that time I didn't have to present my ticket that I paid for online. In the end I was able to enjoy giving my nephew his brownies and celebrating the win with him and the rest of the family. What a horrifying experience for anybody who's not from town who did not know their way around. I was misdirected 3 different times including once by an older security person who put up a fight with me that the stadium does NOT have Visitor and Home sides. Even though I told him that the University of San Diego website has a very clear map of home and visitor sides in the stadium (and another security guard showed me that there are home and visitor sides), this older staff person walked away and waved me off to do "whatever I wanted" because there's no home and visitor sides. I had one great experience with a Hispanic middle aged driver of one of the shuttle golf carts who pointed out what building was what, how I could get over to the stadium, where I should park my car, where the restrooms were (then drove me there) and encouraged me to stay so I can meet up with my family. He was exceptional and to my shame I do not know his name. I do know that I'm eternally grateful to somebody who took the time to explain things on a hot California summer day to someone who was not from the area.

What a fantastic place. The tailgating spots are great they are shaded and overlook the football field. They allow in and out access to the football field. There were multiple food trucks with a fantastic selection of snacks. They have ample beer and wine and seltzer offering at their snack bar. You have to get a wristband and have your identification verified in order to purchase alcoholic beverages and you will be limited to three. The drumline of the band is in the stands which makes for a fun game watching. Great fans a very nice stadium and parking wasn't that bad.

What an amazing field! Get ready to exercise but hey we all should get more of that. Only reason for the 4 star was the snack bar. Fish taco had 1 tiny piece of fish, wouldn't buy that again. Chicken tenders were lacking the portion that we all are used to. Small beers for 13$. Portions were tiny , prices were really high for bad snack bar food. Sad that such a nice park has such poorly managed snack bar. Whats wrong with giving quality and good portions I we pay so much?

Nice smaller stadium, terrible traffic routing. This is a much smaller school than SDSU and UCSD so the stadium hosting the two local soccer and rugby teams makes it a tight fit. In 2020/2021 the San Diego Loyal football club and the San Diego Legion rugby team called this stadium home. Large crowds will have to navigate an open circle intersection which is not built for large crowds and vehicular traffic at the same time. Get there early!

Went to watch the Loyals vs LA galaxy, the ambient and game was nice, but the seating was horrible. 10 mins in and my back was hurting no type of chairs, just a huge bleacher. Make sure to bring something comfy to sit on, and I hope your good with being crowded because you and your neighbors are going to be shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh. Also, people take your seats so be ready to ask someone to move.

Torero Stadium is a nicely designed, intimate sports venue on the campus of the University of San Diego. It holds just over 6000, making it adequate for college, high school and smaller professional sports. It is the current home of the San Diego Loyal SC of the USL (United Soccer Leagues) Championship. One thing to note, most of the seating is concrete, so invest in a good, thick cushion.

Suggestions if you assist to this stadium: Bring a small umbrella (Big is a no) when is a HOT day. This stadium don't have shade to stay sitting for long periods unless you are vip (just few hrs of shade for them). Bring "SEALED" bottles of water because Hydroflax or other liquids are not allow. Unclear big bags are not allowed just small ones (size of a small clutch bag or wallet prefer)

USD Torero stadium is a extremely nice facility and staff! Everything's clean, easily accessible and there's a remarkably smooth pre-game entry and after-game exit flow without the normal congestion. They also sell great game day snacks and drinks too. This is a normal experience, not just a one time fluke as i've attended the majority of this seasons (2023) football games️

Good parking at the structure if you can get in but otherwise park at the County’s Office of Education parking lot. The stadium has good restrooms and a nice quad area with space for several food trucks / tents. For the San Diego Loyal games, it would be cool if the kids activity area was pushed over a little into the large, unused space instead of where everyone is trying to walk.

This was my first ever visit to this stadium and it was a great venue. The event I went to was part of a 6 team Rugby tournament that came to the San Diego area this year. Apparently this site is the home stadium for the San Diego Legion, a rugby team. Not sure if all of the events have concession stands, but today there was a food truck and some other stands with goodies for sale.

Hopefully the loyals will be playing in a new venue next year in mission valley. Torero seating access is good for 18 to 23 y/o but treacherous for my 73 yo body. Nothing to hold onto descending the bleacher steps. Gotta hold onto partners shoulder to balance my gait. Next season ticket renewal I'm asking for easier access seating.

Home of our Major League Rugby team San Diego Legion!! If you can go see a game you should! Major League Rugby is a fast paced, hard hitting, full action sport that is better than watching football by a 1000%. The SD Legion are in first place and looking good for the championship this year!!!

  • Christian ktm

SD loyal home stadium and the atmosphere is energetic. Staffing was kind to me when asking questions . It's a great place to bring the family . Parking is free during the soccer event at the general parking. A shuttle will pickup guests and take them to the stadium .

  • Joseph Bodden

Job gave tickets for soccer game.. was my first time but really enjoyed the energetic crowds and true love for game / team.. will add this to my list every summer and catch a few games. Stadium clean expensive to drink beer here but guess all apart of the experience!

Great University, at the Terrero Stadium, to watch a winning Soccer team. The San Diego Loyals won during the last two minutes of the end of game. Great variation of food and delicious catered Lemon, Thyme Roasted Chicken with bourbon BBQ for the members.

  • John Sielaff (OBTG)

I was there to watch the SD Legion play. I have a bad back so the steel benches we're really rough to sit on for 3 hours. Otherwise, it was a beautiful Stadium. I would think with all the money that university has, they can get a larger Jumbotron.

  • Tom Hay Bauer

A good venue for SD Legion Rugby! Parking is free for the rugby games, but the one ramp was already filling up more than an hour before the game so get there early. You will find food and other fun things in the plaza adjacent to the stadium

  • Jennifer Lyons

We attended an event. You have to park in a lot or on the street. If you park in the west lot a shuttle will be provided to you. It is a steep walk up to the stadium. Limited parking at the stadium site. ADA shuttles available..

  • Nick Ponczka

Great place to watch a game! Whether it's soccer or lax, there isn't a bad seat in the stadium. The bleacher seating can get tight, but that makes it more intimate of a crowd. A decent variety of good and drinks as well.

  • Dave Melvin

Nice stadium. Great place to watch Rugby. Traffic in area very congested and exit from parking structure took a while. Security was telling traffic to do the opposite of what the police directing traffic were doing.

  • Joshua Mount

I'm no college campus connoisseur, but this stadium is gorgeous. The Spanish style architecture that defines the rest of campus bleeds right onto the field. There's no doubt your in Torero country here

  • Chris Gallegos

Easy to get to. Parking was pretty painless. We've been there a few times for the San Diego Wave games and always have a blast. Seating is not too bad. Usually a good variety of food vendors.

  • John Nylander

Great stadium for a sporting event. Not a bad seat in the house. Home to the sorta new MLR Legion rugby team. Fun game to watch! Will definitely go again. Oh... and free parking!

  • Jaymes Spiekerman

Seating isn’t optimal it’s like a high school stadium, but adequate enough. The staff are friendly and the line was very fast. Plenty of vendors selling food, drinks, and gifts.

  • Connie Martinez

Great place to watch San Diego Wave FC. One major suggestion. Put up tents or something fir the players! Ridiculous they have to sit in the sun then play in the sun. C'mon SD.

  • Kyle Davis

Great location for USL team. Stadium has lots of character. Could use some more watering holes nearby, or allow tailgating of some kind. Very happy with the experience!

  • Mary Ann Abbott

Soccer games have never been so much fun and safe, enjoy watching the loyals and the Wave without the rowdy behaviour and on a clean family friendly beuatifull campus.

  • Lina Castro

I have been here for a Loyal game and a Legion Game. Both times had a blast! FYI: It's a bowl style stadium so you walk down to your seats versus up.

  • Bob Masters

Smaller stadium allows for seats to be closer to the action on the field with lots of food options. Temporary home of the San Diego Wave FC.

  • sammuel goodwin

Had a great time. Rugby needs to build more popularity in the U.S. It is such a good sport. Better than football! Yes, I said what I said!

  • Peggy Falkler

I deliver catered food there and work for San Diego Loyal soccer team home games. It's a great place to work with and for watching games.

  • Dennis Burke

A really good setup for SD Loyal games. Good parking with many shuttles from the garage. I liked the food trucks and beverage options.

  • Andrew Christensen

Fun venue, seats are quite close to the field, and the food vendors were fantastic. Bonus points for some awesome SoCal sunsets.

  • Jay Robinson-Duff

Small stadium without many bad seats. Great place to see the San Diego Loyals play. Missing railings on the north side stands.

  • Nichole Peterson

Such a great venue to watch SD Loyal or Wave FC soccer! Great service, friendly people, and the best fans in Section 109!!!

  • MJ Springer

Watching the SD Loyals play home games here was brilliant, the food trucks being a real treat. Parking is a fair hike away.

  • Kim Bieder

Great stadium for soccer. Love the university campus. Easy to park. Concessions were run by students and quite slow moving.

  • gunner503r

Fantastic stadium to watch a San Diego Loyal game! The atmosphere is always energized! The food options, phenomenal

  • Aljoša Kodrič

Nice litlle stadium, a large selection of food and snacks at the stands around the stadium, the prices were solid

  • Maurice B.

San Diego Loyals vs Orange County, Great game and atmosphere with a team that wins. Final score 2-1.

  • Anthony Gonzalez

Great venue to view a game. The high cost of the drinks and food are definitely a turnoff

  • Natasha Souza

A nice smaller stadium. We watched a rugby game there and it was all in all pretty good.
