Like any other track and field stadium, it’s definitely of high quality and at a good location (not the campus). The field is especially well built for other sports, and there are good bleachers to view the stadium from. Not as massive as some other schools like UC Berkeley, but it does the job. Be aware of the opening times as they can be locked for the NCAA Cross Country or Track & Field teams.

The track is in superb condition and the location is amazing. The track is reserved for University of California San Diego students with no external access when they train. I was there for a business trip and went for a spin in the early morning, so no problems.

Great place to run with San Diego Supercomputer Center folks. Thursday Noon Track workout example. 2 X ( 4 laps @ 15K pace/200 easy, 3 laps @ 10K pace/200 easy, 2 laps @ 5K pace/200 easy, 1 lap sub 5K pace /200 easy).  One lap easy after each set.

Nice field - technically not open to the public but I've seen people jogging there and no one is really anal about it unless the gate was locked or sports teams are training.

Love this place! Beautiful, wonderfully well cared for track and always a great place to run. Bring your own water!
