The team at the Torrey Highlands Pet Healthcare Center is absolutely phenomenal. You and your pet feel welcomed and at ease every time you set foot inside. Jenna is outstanding and has a remarkable memory - I never have to remind her of my own or my pet(s) names, and she always knows exactly what we are there for. She even provided my kitten with a bag of free treats the last time we were there! The doctors and technicians here take special care to ensure your pet is healthy and that their visit at the vet is a positive one. The entire team is incredibly knowledgeable and is happy to answer any questions you may have and provide valuable advice as needed. We actually live walking distance from another vet, but refuse to go anywhere besides the Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center because the positive experience we have every time we are there is unmatched. This team cares for your pet as if it were their own.

We love Dr Wood and his team, they are beyond sweet & always so welcoming. The administrator Jenna is one of the nicest gals you will ever meet, she greets us & our pup Mochi with a wonderful smile each time and always offers refreshments - She really makes the office feel like home :) Dr Wood was very informative and so patient with all our questions. Rachel & Haley are just as great, they take the time to make sure all questions are answered and have made us feel very comfortable putting our puppy's care in their hands. After each treatment Jenna calls the next day to follow up and make sure everything is going well and there are no adverse side effects. This office is very honest with their costs upfront and affordable as well, I can't say enough great things about them. I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Wood and everyone at Torrey Highlands. I was so fearful about the health of my kitty, and not only was I kindly treated on the phone in my state of worry, I was welcomed and comforted in the office. Through each step, I was provided with the details necessary to move forward, the status of my cat’s situation, and felt eased by the guidance provided. I sincerely feel that my experience here gave me peace that my cat was in exceptional hands and felt confident in supporting her at home with the advised home actions for me to take prior to follow up. But beyond the technical aspects, when you’re in a state of worry about your pet, and you find a loving and caring veterinarian and office who soothe your panic, that is truly priceless. The minute you walk in the door, the caring staff welcomes you and your pet with a professional and endearing manner. Both my dog and I are often a little nervous for doctor visits but this team certainly puts your mind at ease. They are extremely friendly, caring and incredibly good at what they do. You will NOT find a better Vet in town than Dr Don! He takes the time to personally visit with you, explain the procedures and follows up on how the patient is...it’s nice to know they truly care. Dr. Wood did an extremely thorough and professional review of my dog's medical history which includes her current autoimmune condition. He answered my questions directly and encouraged me to ask any questions I had. He recommended very appropriate testing for my dog and explained clearly why it was recommended and how it would help shape her future treatment. All of the staff have been very kind to my dog and very friendly, and attentive to my needs and comfort. The practice seems to be set up to be very efficient without being rigid or rushed. I drove from Los Angeles and it was well worth it, without question. I have had dogs all my life and this is by far the best veterinary practice I have encountered.

We adopted a puppy from a local rescue and gave this new practice a try based on their expanded hours and that they have two vets on staff. We previously had trouble getting into our vet when our dog was ill so it was important to us to be able to get same day appointments for emergencies. Everyone has been super helpful and kind. When our puppy came down with a cold and had green discharge coming from her nose, they were able to see her on the same day. They always call and follow up which is also nice. The office is also very clean and well lit. They were also very willing to work with the rescue I volunteer for and I'm thankful for that. Thanks THPHCC.

I would like to thank Dr. Wood and his entire team for the great service we have received for Buster. I’ve never seen Buster that excited to go to other pet clinics like he did to Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center. Each time the moment he entered the clinic, he just couldn’t stop wagging his tail… I know we finally find the right place for him and I can completely trust them with my dog’s care. I brought my labradoodle Karma into THPHC last week for a routine check up and concerns over her lack of energy. The team was welcoming, professional, and seemed to really care about my fur baby. Dr. Woods took plenty of time to explain things to me clearly and provided tons of options so I could choose the best one for her. He followed up after the appointment with answers, and created a care plan moving forward. I can't say enough great things about this practice and all the people who work there. We had our first vet appointment today and we were more than pleased with the service! Getting a new puppy during COVID isn’t the easiest to get him socialized and it was important for us to be a part of our new puppy’s first vet appointment. They were able to close off the whole facility so we could do this. Dr wood sat down with us and covered bases we didn’t even know we should cover and educated us on important puppy issues we didn’t know existed. The facility was very clean and modern and the staff was extremely friendly and informative.

This clinic is absolutely the best Vet I have ever been to. First, I was able to make an appointment for the same day, we did not have to wait long to see Dr. Wood, his staff are super nice and attentive, and the fees were very reasonable and totally appropriate. Dr. Wood is very nice, very knowledgeable, did not rush, made a thorough exam, and really cared about Acorn my cat. He called the next day to give me the test results, and was happy to answer any questions. I would rate this clinic with the best rating you can give.

Dr. Wood and his friendly staff made our recent visit stress free and welcoming. It did not feel like we were at a Vet's office but more like being in a friend's home. Dr. Wood's knowledge and expertise gave me confidence that my boys were receiving the best care. Jenna and Casey made sure that our experience was positive from the scheduling process to check-out. Vet Tech Rachel tended to my boys with care to put them at ease. Overall, I would highly recommend Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center.

We love the team at Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center. I’m always greeted by name, with a smile, and my puppy actually enjoys the visit from start to finish. I never feel rushed when asking questions — I really have zero complaints and can’t say enough great things about the customer service and preventative care my dog has received. We haven’t needed anything more involved yet, but when the time comes I won’t hesitate to bring her here. It’s clear they truly care and love what they do.

We finally found our people! After three different clinics over the last 6 years, we have finally arrived at the right place. From the moment Jenna picked up the phone, I knew I called the right place. And when one of our dogs needed to go into oral surgery, I knew Dr. Metcalf would take great care of him. Everyone from the front desk, to the vet tech to the vet was superb and so kind! Everyone spent so much time with us explaining and really listening - which is huge in my book! I was also called the following day to see if I had any questions - amazing! Penny (my dog) LOVED them as well!

Such a fabulous Vet!! We have tried multiple vets in San Deigo/PQ and have had issues with lack of availability and a general lack of attention. Torrey Highlands Pet Health has changed all of that! We recently adopted a mini golden doodle puppy and finding THPHHC was a godsend. We haven’t had a dog in 40 years and we were nervous about his care. I love Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center! It was the only (and I mean ONLY) location that allowed me to be in the examination room for my puppy during the pandemic. Dr. Wood and the friendly staff made it very easy to understand my dog's healthcare plan and they are very responsive whenever I have questions. They also have an online pharmacy that makes it easy to take care of my pup's needs!

I have been taking my 7 year old dog, Nala to Torrey Highlands since they opened and it has been a wonderful experience. This is not your typical over crowded vet clinic, but instead a very boutique and intimate feel. Dr Wood and the whole staff provide the best care possible at an affordable price. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Great service always. Reception is amazing, care is very customizable. I also really liked that they were able to take payment in the rooms so my cat didn’t have to be stressed out in the waiting room where they were a few dogs. These vets are amazing: kind, patient, and knowledgable. This is the first vet our dogs have actually liked going to (even our rabbit was unbothered by his visits here)! THPHCC have been able to see our pets on very short notice more than once and saved the day! I can't recommend them enough.

First time at this facility. the receptionist Jenna was very kind and my dog Chopper the Beagle received a very thorough examination by Dr. Donald Wood. Choppers illness was discussed and we were advised what to do for him. The facility is very clean, and the fees are very reasonable.

We just got a puppy in Feb. We chose Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center because it's close to home. I've been so impressed by them. They are so welcoming and caring. The place is very clean. I trust what they say. I feel very comfortable with them so far. I would recommend them!
