I've never used a travel agency before - always opting to book flights, hotels, excursions etc myself. However, my sister recently booked a holiday to peru for us and our respective partners using Trailfinders, and I was blown away with how well organised it was. I can't comment on the process of arranging the holiday as I wasn't involved in this, however can certainly comment on our experiences whilst on the trip. My wife and I have since said this was one of, if not the, best holiday we have been on. All of the guides we met in peru were amazing, and were always waiting for us in the right place at the right time. Is the price higher than if you were to book it all yourself? Probably yes. However, that additional price is worth it for the peace of mind you get that you'll be taken safely to where you need to be with a friendly local host who has a wealth of knowledge and passion about what they are speaking to you about. Definitely a trip of a lifetime, and would not hesitate to use trailfinders again in the future for multi city trips like this.

We visited the Manchester Trailfinders branch over the weekend and had the pleasure to deal with Tabitha. We established shortly after sitting down with Tabitha that we wouldn’t be able to use Trailfinders’ service as we were looking for a backpacking holiday. However, this did not affect the customer service we received from Tabitha. She went absolutely above and beyond what we expected and sat with us for 30 minutes to help us plan our holiday and give us ideas/tips - which are completely invaluable. We came into the branch with 100’s of questions and no real plan and left feel so much better and organised. We are really grateful for the highest standard of customer service we received and the patience Tabitha had for our many questions. We would hope for/expect such service if we were paying big money for a travel agent, but to receive it without being a ‘customer’ was so appreciated. This particular experience makes us want to return to Trailfinders in the future for future trips. Thank you, Lauren and Conor.

Really disappointed with Trailfinders in Manchester on deansgate, went in to book a cruise flights and hotels with a cost of £7k (a lot of money for me) to be served by a blond hair lady (dont know her nsme)who didnt want to be in work, no interest in my holiday, or chit chat and made me feel uncomfortable. My understanding is if one member of staff starts the quote off and u come back later to book it and get served by another member of staff then they dont get the bonus and in this case we got poor service so walked out and went to my local little one off travel agent and booked the holiday with them who's customer service was fab. What also made it worst was the hotel they suggested in china cost more than on Expedia which I showed the lady on my phone.... and she wouldn't match the price or ask a manager.... sorry lost my custom.

Booked our honeymoon with Trailfinders and they have been brilliant throughout. James Mercer put together the perfect trip, was brilliant with some of our queries and changes as circumstances changed at our destination and, in the end, everything went brilliantly. The ViewTrail app was incredibly useful from booking right up to the flight home. We had one issue while on our trip (nothing to do with Trailfinders, we had a flight cancelled and were left stuck in an airport with staff at the airport being very unhelpful), but the Urgent Assistance number we were given meant that we were quickly put into another flight and, in the end, only had a slight delay whereas we could've been stuck for a significant amount of time. I'll be using Trailfinders in future and recommending them to friends and family.

This is a fantastic travel company. I dealt with Peter when planning my holiday. He had excellent knowledge and provided a first class service. If you ring back regarding a query, you are always promptly dealt with and staff go the extra mile to sort out your problem. I rang regarding a problem with my booking and Harry was extremely helpful in dealing with this. I really appreciate the polite and professional way Trailfinder's staff deal with you. I understand it is not always possible to change a pre booked itinerary, but you can be confident that this firm do try their best to accomodate. I have used this company on two other occasions and my experience has been equally as good.

Amazing travel company. They got us home at the early stages of the Covid pandemic. So helpful at a really stressful time. Nothing too much trouble. We needed to get home from Australia when botders were closing. Trailfindres did it for us. Darren was exceptional. When we got home our insurance would not pay us anything after 2 months for the curtailment of half our trip. Spoke to Darren again about this and he told us to contact Trailfinders Curtailment department. In less than a week we were refunded all the unused part of our trip. We were amazed at the speed. Will use Trailfinders again and recommend them to others. Trailfinders are the very best. Thank you.

We have used trailfinders on 2 occasions and would not hesitate to re book if the prices are right. The customer service is spot on, they actually listen to what your needs are and no pressure to spend more than you have budgeted. When I phone up, it is displayed on their monitor and address me straight away by name, very clever system. Low deposits on booking with a hotel stay or full payment if just flights.( I think) We book by phone but there are stores all over the UK & Ireland to drop in to. The agents/advisors are experienced travellers, so have a good knowledge of the destinations world wide and offer good advice and suggestions.

Trailfinders specialise in putting together custom holiday packages, so this is the place to go if you're after a holiday which strays from the standard "7 nights in one place". I went in recently to get an idea on prices for a trip I'm thinking of booking later this year. I didn't have an appointment booked, but I didn't have to wait long to speak to one of their travel experts. He went through different flight options with me and pinpointed hotels they recommend in the areas I'm planning to stay. I'm intending to go back to make a booking with them when I have the dates and locations for my trip finalised.

Booked a short break in Dubai with trailfinders in Manchester. Other than the actual shop experience the overall experience with them was flawless. We had an issue with my wife’s visa and the tele staff were absolutely brilliant and super helpful, they called back when promised and I felt that they really are about everything going perfectly. The flight, transfers and hotel surpassed all my expectations and I would not hesitate booking with them again. I think in future I would just avoid the shop as it didn’t really impress me that much and the staff there were a little indifferent with a walk-in booking.

We went in looking for our honeymoon. The lady that dealt with our booking was Tash. She was very good, she listened to what we wanted and came across very professional. We where both made to feel at ease and offered tea or coffee whilst our enquires where taking place. As myself and my Fiance have different holiday ideas she listened to what we both wanted and came up with a solution that would cater for both of us. We booked it with her as we felt that the expertise and recommendations that she gave where brillant. We are now looking forward to enjoying our honeymoon thanks to going to Trailfinders.

Just come back from Tanzania. Week long safari followed by a week in Zanzibar. From the minute we first met Peter Beswick at the Manchester store and booked our holiday right through to the end of our holiday everything has been perfect. The booking process, management of the booking and updated information throughout was well managed. As for the holiday, it was amazing. Everything ran to the itinerary and all of the service providers locally in Tanzania were professional and well appointed. Amazing knowledge. Advice, patience. We booked a holiday of a lifetime to Canada, and then on to a 7 day cruise to Alaska. We booked with an agent called James Mercer, absolute asset to your company. His customer service was exceptional. I was worried about booking this holiday, but James reassured us all the way. He gave great advice, and suggestions to add onto the holiday. I would definitely use Trailfinders Manchester again, and definitely calling you James.

We booked our honeymoon to Thailand with James Firth at the Deansgate, Manchester branch, and from the first visit in branch all the way up to a check in call once we landed back from our holiday, we were looked after by James. I have tried 3 times today to phone Trailfinders for some information, i have been on the phone 40 min twice and now on the phone another 15 min and still waiting. Doesn't fill me with confidence, just wondering about booking elsewhere. What if I needed to phone while on holiday, it would cost a fortune. It would help If it said where on the queue I was but instead there is just a very annoying recorded message aaarrrggg

Summary:- DONT USE TRAILFINDERS, MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS YOURSELF. Detail:- I have used Trailfinders a number of times times in the 80s and 90s them being the premier adventure holiday company. It seems that they have lost there way. My first hand experience now is that you are better making the arrangements yourself. Use the internet, to find what you want, Trailfinders just make it more difficult.

Just returned from a 5 week trip organised by Craig Stewart. The service we received from Craig was fantastic. Everything on our trip of a lifetime went like clockwork. All the hotels recommended by Craig where great, transfers where on time all plane journeys and connecting flights where brilliant. Thanks Craig for the trip of a lifetime. Always get great service and advice when visiting Trailfinders, much more than a travel agent. The travel consultants are knowledgeable and they have specialists for all parts of the world. Paul Hills has always given us great service, advice and works hard to ascertain exactly what you want, then finds the best options for you. My go to place for long haul travel.

Our trip last month to Singapore, New Zealand and Australia was absolutely brilliant. Particular thanks to our adviser Craig Stewart for all his help and support. All the travel arrangements, tours, hotel bookings and car hires went extremely smoothly and greatly added to our enjoyment and sense of security that all would be well throughout our four week tour.

Staff very helpful and very knowledgeable. They can help with everything from flights only right up to full luxury package holidays and everything in between. They are the only travel agent I use as they listen to what I want and work with me to get me what I want, not what is best for them. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I booked flights and accommodation. Good service when booking and taking your money, but could not answer a simple query later on for me. They also would not give me the breakdown cost of my flights and accommodation. I needed this as me and a friend were sharing the cost of accommodation, so made it harder than it had to be.

Every aspect of our holiday was exceptional. From the value and professionalism presented by TF to the magical stay at Marbella Nido Corfu - who's team, environment, services, suites were stratosphericaly beyond expectations or even aspirations. We have used trailfinders many times and always been really good. We urgently needed to get home earlier than planned last year and they sorted everything for us. Much prefer using a company than booking online as the back up is really good. Hope they can help this year as we are in NZ with cancelled flights at present.

I contacted Trailfinders once my holiday fell through. I informed Matthew Harvey what I wanted regarding a new holiday. He was very helpful and made some useful suggestions. The itinerary was presented to me in a very timely manner and fit in with the holiday dates we had. He was very friendly and professional.

After a brief hiccup with our plans, our trip to Venice and transfers went smoothly. Hotel was great and a short walk to St Mark's square. I would give 4.5 / 5 but there is no facility to do this. The agent was unavailable at the time of enquiry but a minor quibble at the end of the day.

Always good, sound advice, used them many times over the years and cannot commend them highly enough. On our last trip our flight was cancelled on the day, Aer lingus didn't want to know but one call to trailfinders and a replacement flight was found and our cruise saved.

I have had absolutely fantastic service from Peter and Tasmine at Trailfinders whilst booking flights and a camper van in Canada. I would highly recommend going through this agent - always available on the phone and deliver excellent customer service consistently.
