I started shopping for my first Road Bike and friends recommended I check out Ted's. On my first visit I wasn't sure of what kind of bike I would need as I wanted to participate in Triathlons in the future. The staff (Ashan) were very helpful in outlining road bikes vs Tri bikes, all parts of road bikes and the components that are most important, and answering all my questions with a vast knowledge background and in a manner that ensured I understood and didn't feel like a "newbie". After getting a lot of great info I went off to do my homework and after returning with even more questions, they were happy to spend all the time in the world with me just discussing what would meet my needs best. They were always unbiased and objective to my reasoning on which bike I liked. Even though I visited twice just to talk and asked questions, they never pressured me on the sale or on a timeline by saying things like "this bike might sell..." or "make sure you decide soon...". This was an excellent way to shop and made it a stress-free decision to spend a few thousand dollars. After deciding on a bike, they went through an extensive and detailed fitting for my body type on the bike. Multiple staff were involved and they reviewed each others work which instilled tremendous confidence in me. With no gear, they walked me through what I would need and what I wouldnt, they helped select great sale items and they ensured that they would be there anytime I had follow up questions or needed adjustments. It was a great buying experience and the shop was very clean, neat, organised, and an overall great place to be. Pros: Prices, selection, overall experience, staff knowledge. Cons: Bike could have been cleaned prior to sale.

Update September 2021 We recently went back to Trek Kingston to have adjustments made to our bikes as we were having trouble both with our hands and one knee. Leanne spent an extraordinary amount of time with us adjusting our handlebars, grips and seats to remedy our issues. She was very patient and knowledgeable and wanted to ensure we were completely happy when we left the store. We have been on a couple of rides since the adjustments and our hands and knee are feeling much, much better. Bottom line is there is noticeable improvement. While browsing in the store I overhead other staff interact with customers and everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Like all others that have left comments about Trek I cannot overstate what a wonderful store this is for all your biking needs. Please go in and visit and you will see what I am talking about. You won't regret it. We travel from Belleville and wouldn't go anywhere else to have our bikes serviced. Thanks again Leanne and James for all your excellent help. We're so encouraged about choosing Trek Bicycle Kingston for our recent bike purchase! As new enthusiasts we've had a lot to learn about bike purpose, fit, and options, and the folks at Trek really got us going on the right path. We opted for a pair of trail bikes (dual sport and neko 3s) as we were looking at the K&P and Cataraqui Trails as our most common rides. Beth provided an amazing fitting and she supported raising my bike's neck to suit my body shape. Sue was especially awesome at helping us with defining our early purpose and features. The team helped with a new bike rack that suited two different car shapes and did a full tune up and the bikes have been running so peppy and smooth. We've put 12 hrs and nearly 250 kms on them now and they were the exact right choice. Our gear purchases : Bontrager helmets, rear rack and pannier bags to carry most of our stuff, and a few other items (kick stand, bells, etc), were all perfect too. These all help to make each spin a joy. We're very grateful for our new relationship with this great little Kingston ON bike shop.

Great people and great service! We had a couple of our bikes repaired and serviced. I will say that despite the ongoing covid pandemic the wait time was long but it is the new norm so not a complaint. What I appreciated most was the communication with the staff and their responsiveness to all my questions. I light of how busy they are this is certainly a double fist pump kudos to the TBK crew. Very friendly and upfront about cost and recommendations. I would like to have got into a bit more details regarding options for the fixes (in terms of which replacement parts are available) as my knowledge on this stuff is modest at best. I feel that the limited 'facetime' and how busy they are (due to covid) during the whole exchange is in part to blame.In any case I have been to many bike shops over the years including shops here in Kingston. Their passion for biking translates into excellent service. Also, let me just say that we live on the west side of the city with other bike shops much much closer yet we will continue to give our patronage to TBK.

My wife and I have recently purchased two bikes from Trek Kingston. The first person that I dealt with was Beth. Beth was very patient and listened to the things that we were looking for in a bike. She was extremely helpful in making recommendations based on what I had told her. We went through many options and landed on the FX1. The next person that I dealt with was Ashan, who was equally as awesome! He was able to assist me whenever inquired about the shipping arrangements for my bike (as it had to be ordered). Ashan made sure that the bikes were assembled perfectly and then delivered to our home. I also dealt with Leanne in regards to questions that I had regarding cycling shorts and she was very informative and knowledgeable about the products she carried. Overall the who purchasing experience was awesome! I would highly recommend buying a bike from Trek Kingston.

Nothing can beat the exceptionally high standard of service here. Not only are the staff very knowledgeable, they are exceedingly helpful and kind. Today, I had trouble with a lock I bought at the store (totally user error! A little embarrassing). I called the store to ask for a pointer on my next step, and they asked where I was and sent a staff member to come and help me! The staff member was there in less than five minutes and totally got me out of the bind. Even when it was clear the problem was my fault entirely, he was gracious and didn't let me feel bad or incompetent. The service call was totally free and out of the kindness of their hearts. More: they arrived faster than most ambulances!!!! I began by buying one bicycle there in April. Since then, my family has bought two more as well as all of my accessories for racing etc. I can't recommend them more.

Trek Bicycle Kingston is top notch with knowledgeable and friendly staff. I had been waiting for my bikes to come in with the Covid delays, through no fault of Trek Bicycle Kingston. As soon as my bike arrived I received a very friendly call to arrange my fitting. Both Ashan, Leanne and other staff (apology as I have forgotten some of the names) as well as their mechanic were involved in setting up my new road bike, and mountain bike to perfection. Even though it took some time finding the proper seat after trying out nearly a dozen seats they never waivered in their patience and commitment to getting the right fit for me. Amazing experience shopping at Trek Kingston. After a deal getting a Marlin 7 from another shop fell through because of numerous delays from the bike shortage, I went back to reading a bunch of emails I sent in search of bikes back in May.. Stumbled upon an email exchange between me and Leanne of Trek Kingston and I am so happy I did! They had 1 Marlin 5 left on stock and was about to settle for it however, Leanne was able to find me a Roscoe 7 instead! I should have went here the first time around if not for the 2hour drive but let me tell you, it will be worth your while! The shopping experience from over email and phone inquiries and in store was amazing! I will take my business here moving forward! Thank you again Leanne! Having a blast biking with the family!

AMAZING experience! We received speedy and excellent customer service. There were safe physical distancing practices that made the exchange 100% safe. We were able to wait while our product was installed, and we were given a discount on a product, rather than wait for another one to be shipped to the store. Friendly, speedy, professional and safe. A fantastic experience from start to finish, and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting a repair or bicycle product. During these times of COVID 19, bike rides are important for our family to stay healthy, both physically and mentally. Access to the TREK services and supplies are an excellent tool for our city during this time. I was also happy to be able to safely support such an important local business.

I purchased a new Trek road bike here in May 2015 and found Ted to be a true expert on road bikes. I purchased the bike with a deposit and came back with an appointment the next week for sizing the bike. Ted took the time and made sure the bike fit me (including shoes and pedals) and answered all my questions. Ted is also an accomplished cyclist-racer gaining his knowledge from racing experience. This is a super-clean bike shop with professional service and a wide selection of bikes. I look forward to many years of dealing with Ted as I try to become a faster racer. Their sister bike shop (Cyclepath) next door is also great and supportive. My wife and I have purchased 3 bikes mountain bikes here.

I have had excellent service from TREK in Florida and found the same here in Kingston. Although owned by different people the same high-quality merchandise is available. The service team are top notch and the sales people really know the product well. TREK makes excellent bicycles, and I say this as someone who has used other top rated serious road bikes for years. I can’t recommend TREK Kingston highly enough. When it came time to upgrade from my Cannondale to an E bike I chose TREK. These are expensive but appropriately priced high quality machines. Hi, I had found & called your store because I'd been searching for a Specialized saddle that was not longer being made but had worked very well for me prior to a cycling accident in 2020. You had it in stock...but I live 3hrs away from Kingston, so was a bit of an issue!I spoke to Leanne who was so nice & helpful. She arranged to have the saddle shipped to me & I received less than a week later. When I received my package, Leanne had included a nice little note wishing me success with the saddle. Trek was recommended to us by our son’s recreational therapist. He is 7 and has been unable to coordinate riding a bike until now, due to health reasons. He had 2 lessons with his recreational therapist before he was soaring on the Trek Precaliber. We purchased the same bike from Trek Kingston and had a wonderful experience. Leanne helped to find and adjust the helmet my son picked out, made sure the bike was properly fitted and made the whole experience even more exciting when he got his new bike certificate. Firstly buying a couple of bikes when you are not avid riders, you have lots of questions. The owners and staff are fantastic. They are knowledgeable and helpful and don't try to upsell you. They provide valuable information so that you can make an informed decision. I was so impressed with the owners after my first bike purchase I returned and purchased another bike and accessories. They never rushed me to make a decision. They provided information and urged me to read up and contact them if I had any questions. I did, and they responded with answers the same day. A real professional business, On Wednesday June 26th I sent a quick email to Trek bike shop inquiring if they could box my touring bike the next day for shipping to Ottawa. The next morning I received an email confirming that it was possible. After cycling from Wellington to Kingston, I arrived to Trek shop in the afternoon, I noticed their were very busy, but within a few hours the bike was boxed and ready for shipping. I would like to say once again, thank you to all the staff, I left a happy customer and I definitely will recommend this shop to my cycling friends that do go by Kingston, On. Gilles

Hands down the best bike shop in Kingston. Service is consistently excellent. They value your business and I've found that as we get to know the staff better, they go even more out of their way for us. For example, the other day I had my first flat and instead of just fixing it and charging me they taught me how to do it myself next time. Very knowledgable and they don't do the hard sell - they'll tell you straight up what you need for your level of riding. Gear selection is also really high quality. Bought two Trek hybrid bikes one year ago and they've performed admirably on lots of varied terrain.

I can’t recommend Cyclepath in Kingston enough! They have a great variety of new and used bikes for kids. With two kids to satisfy, I was grateful for the kids area with books and activities/toys to keep them occupied while the other was being fitted. The owner and his wife were very knowledgeable and were great with the kids when helping them find the right size of bike etc. We took home two bikes at a great price. They also have a trade in program for when they eventually outgrow them. I’m glad we went in as I’m certain I would have purchased the wrong size for my 8 year old!

I was attempting to do something that many stores do not like to see people do, put 2" x 29" tires on a DS 8.4 (typically 38x700c) for better off-road traction. Although the sales staff were unsure if it would work they did not attempt to up sell me on a new bike as most places would. Instead they questioned why I felt it would work and upon hearing my answers, they merely offered a bit of caution, suggested that I give it a shot and if I have any issues they were there to help. FANTASTIC. In the end it worked well and my faith in Trek Bikes and Trek Kingston is even stronger.

Visiting the store on a day trip… looking for something fairly specific. A member of the staff (Mike) searched the database. No luck, so he went the extra mile by calling the warehouse and arranging for the last bike of that type to be delivered to the store in a few hours. Came back at the specified time… and it was ready to go. Walked me through the features, let me go for a spin. All on a weekday walk-in visit. Awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in the car and drive a few hours to visit this store for accessories, service, or bikes for my family. Thanks, Trek… and Mike!

Went here with my bf today and the guy really did not want to help us, he told us he can't do anything for either of our bicycle questions. So we went straight to Frontenac cycle for a second opinion and got amazing customer service and was told my bike will be fixed and ready by tomorrow. FC also sold my bf the exact piece of gear that the CP guy said wouldn't work for his bike, and explained how to easily make it work. Two easy sales and fixes lost by a super incompetent employee. This man wanted me to give up on my beloved bike after he looked at it for 1 minute!!? :(

I just love spending time with the team at Trek Kingston. Have had my bike tuned and repaired here and each time it’s like a new machine. In the midst of the challenging business environment created by COVID, with frequent lockdowns and supply chain disruptions, the team at Trek Kingston still managed to deliver a great customer experience. They stayed in touch, kept us posted on a changing delivery schedule and, when received, had our bikes built, accessorized and delivered quickly and in perfect working order. All of this with professionalism, good humour and a focus on making sure we were set up for a great biking experience. We would recommend Trek Kingston to anyone.

This is a specialist shop so if you're looking for budget friendly bikes and accessories you may want to look elsewhere. That being said, for those who are really into cycling and are willing to spend more, they have great stuff. The best aspect is definitely the customer service though, best in the city in my opinion! Have always had a pleasant experience with them; they've always done a excellent job tuning my bike (including super quick turnaround) and never do more than needs to be done unless you ask for it. Highly recommended.

Super nice group and were able to get my bike fixed on the same day I brought it in which was great. (2022-07-21 update) Just purchased a new bike from Trek and they were super helpful getting extra accessories and helping me understand my new bike. Unluckily I only got 6km out on the trails and got a bad flat. I called up Trek the next day and they told me to bring the wheel in and they had a new tread put on within the same day for no charge. I hugely appreciate the people at Trek for doing this. Thanks!

I recently bought a bike from Trek Kingston and could not be happier. I was recently in a car accident and suffered a neck injury. The staff here worked incredibly hard to find a bike that kept my neck in neutral riding position. I ended up with the Verve 2 and it checks all of the boxes. Fantastic customer service. I had to order a bike and it arrived on time which during Covid-19 is not always the case. Whenever I contacted the store either via email or phone the responses were helpful and friendly including when I wanted to change the colour of the bike I had ordered. I bought my FX 2 disc and some stuffs 2 days ago and I loved it! The staffs are amazing! They are very accommodating. They have toys for kids so your kids will not get bored when you bring them. I made the mistake of going to Rick's Bike Repair previous to coming here. What a difference: No hard sell, very friendly, knowledgeable staff who took the time to know what I wanted and delivered. I got a great repair done, at a very reasonable price. Also, they can do email for repair status updates, which was very much appreciated.

Outstanding service! I had my son's mountain bike in for major repair in June. He uses it for getting to and from work. New rear hub, tires,and general tune up. They had him back on the road in two hours and the bill was very reasonable. They only replaced parts that needed it. You can bring your bike here with confidence!

Have gone here for many years, back when they were cyclepath/Ted's. Service has always been excellent and their entire team is always super friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are also very fair. Trek Kingston has great bikes and great service. They have been keeping an old winter bike with studded tires running far longer than I deserve. My everyday Trek commuter bike and Trek carbon-fibre gravel bike that is perfect for the K&P Trail are wonderful.

I love getting my bike repaired at Trek because the staff are no-attitude, kind, helpful and knowledgeable people who don't give me a hard-sell and don't recommend the most expensive option on repairs. Very rare and awesome place!
