It needed a bit of servicing since then. Admittedly I weigh more than I’d like to and I ride hard but that’s where the beauty of these gentlemen come in. They are all passionate cyclists with an obvious love for the sport and great respect for anyone else who cycles (no matter how much they weigh, lol) They take it as a personal challenge and mission to solve whatever problem comes between you your bike and the ability to truly enjoy your ride. The only thing they don’t like and actually seem upset about is the time you will be off the road. Anyway long story long, these guys went above and beyond to make sure I was properly taken care of and that my bike is performing as it should or even better. And even if you’re a big shot Tour de Francer don’t frown upon the bike barn and get ripped off at some specialty shop. These guys know what they’re doing and want to see you happy!!!! Much love!

I've bought two bikes from Bike Barn for my son and daughter. My daughter's had to be ordered because it was last year during the pandemic bike craze. But Bike Barn were on top of the timeline and called me right when it arrived. I did purchase the maintenance plan, but have not brought any bikes here for service. Most of the staff are knowledgable. I've run across a couple of young employees who didn't know much about what they were selling except that they have two wheels and the pedals make them go round. To me, if you're working the floor in a bike shop you should at least know general differences in models and why one costs more or less than the other because that's what people want to know...why does one bike cost $2000 and one costs $1000, when they look almost identical. This is a general family bike shop, not a boutique shop, but somewhere in between. So better than Academy in terms of quality and service, but not high-end like some bike shops in The Heights.

My fiancé and I went in there looking for a road bike. The salesman was very helpful and we said we were going to look around before we decided. We went to one other bike shop in Kingwood and it was awful, I'm not even sure the guy knew what a bike was. So we went back and got a bike for my fiancé and a bike for me. They told us that they had a sale coming up and that if we came back with the receipt then they would give us the difference in the sales price. They were beyond helpful with everything. They installed the water bottle holders for us, as well as gave us 20% off accessories the day we bought the bikes. Came back a week later to ride with a group and the store manager, who was riding with us, noticed that my seat was too low and offered to fix it for me. He also helped adjust my gears and my brakes. All for free. I would recommend this shop to anyone whether they are beginners or advanced. The staff knows what they are doing and go above and beyond.

Ben is the guy who helped to get warranty parts from SRAM and install on my bike. He pushed SRAM for expedite shipping, called the warehouse to get parts, and put on my bike once he had parts. Great job! I used to visit Bike Barn at Cypress and like their service. Comparing to Cypress store, I'd suggest to make improvement on information flow. The email he communicated with me seems to be a public mail box for all store employees. I sent my original invoice of my bike to that mail box as request for warranty process. That information sank to the bottom until I called Ben several days later. Then I was told that the warranty was processed however no update was given until I called again and found the process didn't move as it'd be, which wasted another week. I left my bike to the shop on 6/10 and picked up on 6/27. The store employees are very friendly. I hope my 2 cents can help them to get improved.

These folks are freaking awesome! My son and I purchased 2001 GT IDrive 5.0 for $100 on Sunday morning. When we got it home I realized it needed more work than I was capable of doing in our short time frame, before we had to head out of town on vacation. I read the other reviews and by 1pm, we had made it in the door. The entire staff was very friendly and understanding of our needs and short timelines. We had two custom cables made, rear braking mechanism replaced, new chain, sprocket straightened, along with a full tune by 3:40pm. All for $109.33. Wow.....just wow. That is amazing customer service at a very fair price. This made my son's month. This kind of service may not happen to everyone, but it found us when we desperately needed it. I just bought my daughter a bike and accessories from this Bike Barn location and I have never experienced such awesome customer service ever. Not just comparing to other bike shops, but literally the best customer service anywhere I have ever been. Mack is awesome, very considerate and patient...not to mention extraordinarily knowledgeable and professional. My daughter and I needed the perfect bike for her to take to college with her and he fixed her up with the perfect bike and accessories that she needed and did not try to up-sale, but did take the time to explain the differences between the less expensive and more expensive items, which I appreciated immensely. We will be repeat customers and I look forward to working with the staff at this location, especially Mack.

Excellent experience at this shop. The employees are all super friendly and seem much more interested in getting you the bike and accessories you want and need rather than just making a sale. They're not pushy, they're not rushed, I can't say enough about their customer service. I've purchase a helmet, had a bike tuned up, and purchase some other accessories, and they've been great. The prices have been very reasonable, no different than what you might find online, but buying here you get to support local jobs and have fun conversations. This is a smaller location, so their selection isn't unending, but they should be able to get you everything you need. They also have a couple of riding groups that meet here, I've been told they are fun to ride with.

Living across the street from this store has cost me thousands of dollars, need a tire repair? Buy a bike. Need an accessory? Buy my wife a bike. Nice weather today…. Yup, new bike time. The team here is just regularly easy to work with, knowledgeable and laid back. 03/25/18 I walked in, asked to have a rear tire replaced for my road bike. I kid you not, I was asked if I could leave the bike for a couple of days. What? It’s a road bike, no a car! It takes less than 15 min to change a tire. I was going to buy the tire and do it myself, they have it in stock, but decided to leave the place instead. I will never step inside this place again, wouldn’t want the give them more work than they can handle. 2 days! Maybe they forgot the purpose of a local bike store, it’s the qucik fixes, I can have it delivered from an online store and replace it myself. Maybe he thought I was replacing the flux capacitor. Lmao I feel sorry for people that go to this place. Lucky for me I don’t live around.

We went in yesterday to find a new bike for my wife. She has always ridden big box store bikes, and I encouraged her to go here to see what they can offer. At the end of the day, my wife, my daughter and I all bought new bikes. the sales staff is incredible. AJ is absolutely the man. Everyone else is amazing as well, I'm just really bad with names(sorry guys!). AJ took his time with us to show us options of what would make sense for each of us, including my 10 year old daughter. If you want a GOOD bike, and you want to be taken care of by people who REALLY know their stuff and are passionate about what they do, then visit Trek Kingwood.

I went in looking for a road bike brake cable and Matt stopped what he was working on to help me. He was able to quickly locate a cable that cost $22 each, which is 400%-500% above the cost of Shimano or Sram. Matt assured me that they didn't sell anything cheaper and the cable was very smooth. I did return it, but that's on me. I don't own a dental practice or ride competitively, which is who the shop is geared towards. I bought a bundle of Shimano cables online for $10 with free ship. Whether you need a competitive edge, or want to feel like you need a competitive edge, Trek in Kingwood has the right equipment for you.

This place is overpriced the staff is not that helpful and I asked to borrow a tool for not even a minute or ask them if they could tighten the bolt and they asked six bucks to tighten a bolt! I went next door to AutoZone and asked if they could help me without hesitation they helped me. I had them work on my bike once to tighten my chain on my way home they tightened my chain but left my brakes disconnected and non-adjusted which caused me to wreck my bike. I do not recommend them I recommend going a few more miles to sprockets bike shop in Porter Texas.

I have had such a wonderful experience With trek over the last 9 months Getting new into the sport. They have treated me, my wife and kids (yes even my babies) with the utmost respect I've ever experienced. They've treated me like family And always ready to answer all my questions + assist me with my bike. The team there were really helpful and responsive. They found the bike I was looking for, ship it to the store, got it ready and stored in their facility, until I was ready to pick it up. No hiccups, no issues.I requested a specific set of pedals, and when I arrived they were installed and ready to go.I provided the weight of my kid, and the team adjusted the suspension of the bike right at pick up time, in a efficient manner. All in all, great service, and yes I would recommend Bike Barn to a friend, in fact I already did it.

I have been a customer for many years. These guys know their riders and bikes. It was a little intimidating going in the first time with my Walmart bike that needed repairs, but these guys treated me like I had a Madone SLR. Maybe someday! Staff was friendly and informative. They treated me like a fellow rider. They even showed me maps to the local trails, and even invited me to the weekly group rides. I could tell they love what they do, and they wanted me to enjoy my rides as well. Would recommend 100%. See ya on the road.

This shop is an oasis foothold in an urban area. I’d say it’s more than a bike shop it’s an important part to the community. I have to say I stopped in with lots of questions about bikes. I feel like I was really lucky to be assisted by this employee named Giovanni. This man is passionate about bikes and really knows the specifics of what he sells. They hovered over me when I entered the store. I took a wheel set to the repair department to have them trued and stress relieved. Got an estimate $16.00 to have the rear wheel bearing adjusted and $32.00 TO HAVE THE WHEELS TRUED Ans stressed relieved. When they called to say my wheels were ready I asked if they were stressed related No he didn't do that When I did pick up the wheels the hub they worked on was too tight when I checked out the price on the estimate didn't match what they charged Can't trust them

First of all I want to state that im a Special Ed teacher and Im in a wheelchair. I woke up this morning to a flat tire and went to work anyway. I called them and let them know my situation. I drove there during my lunch and they changed my tube out and brought my chair back out to my truck in under 10 minutes and I went to give him my credit card to pay and he wouldnt accept my payment and charged me a fist bump instead. If they read this, I want to say thanks again and I highly reccommend them.

Do not let them touch your bike!!! Shade tree "mechanic" created dangerous situation. Told me it was "perfectly fine mechanically"...they ran out of adjustment on the B-screw & frame contact so they used an over sized (about 2 sizes) nut to attempt to wedge nut against the frame for more adjustment to get the chain into the last gear. Clearly this "fix" would not last long and I discovered just what they did after about 2 mins of riding when this "fix" started to fail and causing problems.

Disappointed. It is the closest store to me. But one of the staff while polite and friendly, tried to make recommendations that shows either he does not know what he is saying or he thinks I know nothing. Up selling their parts and bike and keep telling me that I have a low end bike with low end parts only communicates that I should not take my inexpensive bike there. I do not feel that I can trust their advise or reasons for the need to upgrade my son's bike.

My husband and I were driving by going to get some lunch when I glanced at the shopping center it’s in and noticed something new. I said “I’m pretty sure that umbrella says Trek!” So we turned into the lot and were so surprised! We love Trek! Spent a while talking to an associate about trails, bikes, and gear and learned so much more about bikes. Can’t wait to get a new Trek bike and ride some of the trails they recommend. Great mechanics who really care about their customers. I’ve been using their tune up services regularly and have always been impressed that they take the time to learn about the customer, the bike, provide amazing service, and most of all are honest and transparent about what you need. TREK in Kingwood has great people working there and of course amazing bikes. Road, trail or commuter Trek bikes are the best. I have an older bike and have on 2 occasions meet the team there. I just got a new bike, and there was a little mix up with the order. Craig, the store manager, personally drove to another store location to get the correct bike for me the same day, and then he spent a solid 10 minutes after the store closed to help my husband load my new bike into our truck so it would be safe for the drive home. It really was some of the best customer service we’ve ever received.

These guys, and gal, have always been extremely helpful, honest, and treated me very well. Though I did not buy my bike there, they have always helped me with my own road bike for parts, repairs, and general questions. I will continue to bring my business there over and over. They do not seem to carry a lot of stock (which isn't their fault, ah hem corporate) but anything I need is ordered quickly.

This place works well with the customers, had a specialized rock hopper comp, and to be honest this bike was poorly designed, after having problems over a few months and even getting a whole brand new bike I was still having problems so finally was able to return it for a trek, receiving full credit for my old specialized, loving my new trek which I traded up to. Jason Burnett has always went above and beyond in customer service. I really appreciate his knowledge and I can trust when he tells me something needs to be replaced he’s not just trying to sell parts. He was talking care of my bicycles at the West University store also. Everyone is so nice to me. Jason is the reason I drive from China passing up other bike shops to have my repairs made.

I have purchased three bikes with accessories from this location. We have used them over the years for repairs and service on all our family bikes as the customer service and workmanship is excellent! Noticed my back wheel was wobbly on a late Friday afternoon. Brought it by Trek Bicycle and Craig quickly diagnosed the issue (ball bearings were shot) and replaced with new ball bearings while I waited. I thought for sure I would have to leave my bike in the shop for a few days but really appreciated the quick repair so I didn't have to miss the Saturday morning group ride.

Scott was very informative and helpful. I ordered a special bike and when it arrived they were able to assemble it and personally fit me that afternoon. They offered to adjust my fit anytime if I change equipment on the bike. They have service after the sale. They have resources to assist in most areas. Always support your local businesses when possible.

Craig and the team are EXCEPTIONAL! I have had nothing but pleasant experiences helping me find parts and upgrade my bike. The expertise even with non-Trek bikes is second to none. I brought my son's bike (following a small crash) as a walk-in. I expected it to take at least 24 hours to be repaired. They were able to repair it immediately and went above and beyond to make sure it was safe for him to ride. We received fantastic service and will definitely be using them again for any repairs and maintenance.

TEDDY was the most patient and knowledgeable sales peron we have had experience shopping with. We wish he was there when we bought a car. Nice place. I took my bike in for a few basic things, including swapping out the rear wheel for a different one. I asked them to save the old tire and tube. They couldn't find the tube. Great mechanics, whenever I get my bike tuned here everything feels perfect with smooth precision shifting - far beyond how I can tune it and far beyond what any other bike shop I've been to does. Normally I receive good bike service, but this time they dropped the ball. I got an Advance Service Tune-Up on my bike, the tune-up is good except they left the rear wheel rubbing against the frame and they did not clean the bike which is included with the servicing.
