Staff was extremely nice and worked with me while I was very emotional due to not feeling well…there are a few reasons I do have to rate it 3 stars though…1. My door was made of glass, and though the room did have a curtain I still felt I had limited privacy… 2. My CT scan took 8 hours to get results when they told me the longest it should’ve taken was about 3 hours so the medicine wore off and I was in pain again… 3. They told me what I had, knew I was in extreme pain, and didn’t prescribe any pain medication so after I left I was in pain for about 3-4 days even with taking otc things… 4. There’s no call button that’s in the room (and if there is one staff didn’t notify me where it was) I had an IV in me and needed to use the restroom and kind of had to wait until I saw nurses in the hallway and yell out to get assistance…The last reason (and this may not be their fault) when you go to this hospital they send a message to download an app to see a review of your visit and results of any tests you’ve had done while there…it’s been over a week and I have yet to see my results posted…overall very good hospital and minus these things I would highly recommend it if needed
Received a head injury in the ER in 2016, because I wasn't made a fall risk despite mobility issues (I use a rollator and wear leg braces up to both knees) and possible seizures, no bed rails. Fell out of bed, straight onto the floor, and rolling stool head first. I have permanent damage because of it to this very day. They picked me straight up despite neurological issues, ran me through a CT, and sent me on my way with my IV still in my arm. My mother took me to my PCP, luckily nearby, to have that notated and removed. They told me I was fine and the CT was clear. My PCP requested the CT only to find out that was not the case. I couldn't even write my name or speak for a long time after. Even if I'm on my death bed, I will never go back there if that says anything. NEVER again. They are luckily I wasn't alert enough to sue and that my family was more worried about me than suing them.
I was at Imaging at 7 am this morning for a CT scan with contrast. I was told to drink the contrast which I finished at 7:05 am and turned in the paperwork then. I was told I would need to wait an hour for the contrast to work. At 8:45 I was still waiting and asked how much longer it would be and was told they needed to finish that patient. I was called in at 9:15, 2 hours and 15 minutes after I got there. The tec doing the CT told me she had just gotten my paperwork then and she could have taken me much sooner if she had known I was waiting. Why was I left waiting an hour and fifteen minutes longer than necessary, why did it take the lady at the desk so long to send the paperwork back to the tec? I was on the verge of having to leave before getting the CT to get to my doctor's. appointment on time.
Giving 2 stars since surgery itself and their staff during pre-op and post-op were great but after hours care was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I was not able to get my pain medication because the on call doctor was extremely uncommunicative and unhelpful. They messed up my prescription 3 times and couldn’t get it in before my pharmacy closed. I asked if it could be sent to a different pharmacy since I was in pain and he told me since he already left the hospital (and it was only 8pm), there was nothing he could do for me. I thought that was their job to take care of patients after hours if you’re the on call doctor. I was in intense pain all night because of this. I will never be coming back here. I hope this gets taken care of so other patients don’t have to suffer.
Last week I had ACDF surgery at this facility. Everyone we encountered, from the person at registration to the housekeeping personnel were friendly and caring. The care team made sure I was as comfortable as possible at all times, even bringing me popsicles for my sore throat in the middle of the night and ordering food trays for my husband. I was also highly impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. My room was cleaned daily and the staff doing the cleaning were cheerful and friendly. The staff at the hospital in our town always seem like they've been run ragged and are chronically under staffed. I didn't get that sense at all here. From now on we will drive more than an hour to your hospital rather than take our chances at our local facility.
My family recently had our first experience with Southern Hills medical center. Mother had a hip replacement there last week, and from the moment we walked in, and until we left, was like no other hospital we've ever been in. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was! Second, how professional and friendly the staff was from the Lady at the front desk, our liaison, and the cleaning lady asking if there was something they could get for us. Every employee seemed to go the extra mile! Third was how awesome the nurses were in explaining every detail of what to do when we got home and the reasons why. The way they cared was outstanding!! I would highly recommend Southern Hills and in the future it will be our hospital of choice!
Today 10/24/2023 my Doctor referred me to Southern Hills Hospital for an ultrasound on my leg. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly and assisted with the patient check-in. I was then sent to Imaging. After a short wait Rachel came to take me to have the procedure. We were joined by Catelyn, both were very professional and attentive. I was very impressed with both of these ladies as they explained in detail what was going on through out the procedure. Their concern for the patient was obvious. They both demonstrated a desire to do the best job and care for the patients. Coodoos to Rachael and Catelyn.
My experience was EXCELLENT! I arrived for surgery at 5:30 AM and the lady who was at the desk was full of energy and it made us feel so much better that she was very friendly! Everyone from those with anesthesia, to the waiting room to recovery were very very amazing and kept my family informed of everything that was going on with me. Even during recovery the care that I received was second to none all the way until the time that I reached my vehicle and my family took me home! They even gave me a follow up call the next day! I definitely recommend TriStar Southern Hills and they have a 10*from me.
Every visit has been a pleasant experience. Very friendly people and answered anything I asked. Update 12/6/22 From then to now has been great. Shout out for the compassion, care and encouragement from Dr. Patrick Davis he is an amazing man! Thanks doc for the wonderful journey I am beginning for a healthier me. The nurses, patient care team, cleaning staff all amazing people. Not one time did I feel like a burden but simply the care and concern from each one. The excitement seeing me get to finally go home with a yay!! Thanks Tri-star Southern Hills and you dedicated staff.
My experience with this medical facility was by far the best I have ever had. I grew up watching my father in and out of hospitals and I myself have been in and out of hospitals. They provide excellent care while maintaining complete transparency. I felt at home and always informed with what to expect each step of the way. This also was my first IV ever to NOT leave a bruise. Post op- I felt safe and well taken care of. I would absolutely travel 70 miles again to have any procedure taken care of in this hospital. The nursing staff was amazing- each of them!
This for my daughter. She was brought their by ambulance for a dog attack. 2 hours before seeing a doctor. No offer if a gown when her pants had to cut off at scene. He finally stitch her up. Before they saying they would give her something never did. She was wet from him stitching her up . No blanket offered even when asking several times. Maybe 15 before discharded they bring her one smh. Her wounds were draining and still messing with dried blood. She had to ask them to cover them so would mess up her rides seats. They can have cared a lot more fir sure
Everyone here was great. I had lumbar spinal fusion surgery, and the entire staff was awesome. Dana, my night nurse, needs a raise. She has been absolutely incredible. So nice, professional, informative, and just overall amazing. I have never had a better nurse in my life. I like to give credit where it's due, and she deserves all the credit. She made my time here bearable. So if she sees this, thank you so much. I appreciate it more than you know. My day nurse was amazing to!!!! I can't remember her name but she was FABULOUS.
I had the BEST experience ever here. Out of all of the places I’ve been and out of all of the surgeries I’ve had, this tops it off. I had the best nurses, the best doctor, the best care. I couldn’t of asked for better! From the time I stepped into the door to the time I left I received nothing but the kindest care, patience, and understanding. Even the front desk people were wonderful. The nurses even gave me the sweetest little card to take home. Definitely would recommend going here and even going back if I have to!
I called to CANCEL my Dads appointments because he could not make it for that day appointment. Southerns hills schduler tells me I need to pay $25 fee becuase I did not give them 24 hour notice. I called at 8 am and his appointment was at 3:00 PM. I think that is is unjustfy and careless business opperation. I understand if missed my appointment but we did not missed it, I only called to CANCEL my appintment and they charge us $25. Shouthern Hills should be shamed about is immoral practice. Sham,Sham, Full of SIN!!!
I was in the waiting room of your Endoscopy area waiting on my sister's test to be completed. Behind me a woman was also waiting for her husband's test to be completed. The Dr called her on the phone to deliver devastating news on her husband's condition instead of coming to take her to more private location. That was disgusting and the most non compassionate display I have seen a long time. I would not recommend a place that has that much disregard for a patient/family getting such life changing news
I had an injured hand from a MVA. As I was waiting for x-rays and results the swelling was out of control. Three times I asked for an ice bag. The nurse said she'd get one. Never got one. Three times I asked for Tylenol. The nurse said she'd get it for me. I never got any. What I DID get was the opportunity to see my nurse sitting outside my door on her cell phone almost the entire time I was in the ER. The doctor was very nice and took the time to explain the results and discharge instructions.
I went for throwing up and diarrhea they gave me fluids and said everything was fine. Which it wasn't white blood cells were high showing I had an infection and dehydration. I called my Dr and ended up being admitted to a different hospital. And one of your people said I was treating the hospital like a motel 6 rude and I will never ho to your hospital or take my children there. They need to learn patient care horrible people in your Er. I even talked to charge nurse. Unacceptable care
I had a good appointment, the second time around. The first appointment was postponed with me waiting for my procedure because confirmation from my insurance company had not been completed. Rebecca at the front desk did much to assuage my impatience for over an hour and a half before we decided we could wait no longer. When I came back a week later, she remembered me, the process went smoothly, and Russell, the tech, did a splendid job of getting me tested in a very short time.
I was from out of town visiting my daughter and had to find an ER. She directed me here. Ended up needing my appendix removed. From the ER staff to the surgical team and nursing staff it has been all 5 stars. I felt everyone really loved what they do and that translated into exceptional care at every level. The facility is clean an up to date. There is a monitor I'm the room that is updated with all your current care Giver team and pertinent info. Five stars top to bottom.
On December 2nd, I came in with a sharp pain in my chest and my BP was 245/147!!! At first I was greeted by a great staff, after about an hour, a nurse came in with no name, I’ve never seen before and says I’m discharging you and start ripping the IV out and kicked me out and told me they needed this bed for people who was actually sick?! I am disgusted!! I had to go to Stonecrest and they admitted me.. I guess Southern Hill didn’t care if I lived or died!!
One day foot surgery on my right foot. I would highly recommend the hospital, staff was excellent and very professional. I can’t say enough good things regarding the treatment I received. I would definitely recommend the hospital and I would definitely use the facility again. My surgery was scheduled for 5:30 AM on February 14, 2023. Every thing was ready from the employees to the surgical room, everything was also super clean.
I have been to the outpatient center for mammograms more than once, and it is wonderful experience, very personalized. They take you into a small private room where you get into your gown, and then go a few steps down the hall to be screened. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. It is very conveniently located for me and you don't have to park in a garage. It was so much better than going downtown!
my mother 81 year old mother in law had 2 artery stents placed by Dr Mark Shelton and she was nurtured by two nurses Marian and Imelda. The Dr said it was a 50/50 chance of opening the artery and he worked hard to get it open and the nurses were patient, caring and funny(laughter is good medicine right?) I was so relieved by their professionalism and respect. Thank you again to each one
The staff was good but Dr Walker in my report gone say doesn’t look like I was in pain cause I was on my phone yea keeping me occupied from the pain hell ain’t like y’all had no tv or none on some people know how to manage the expression while having pain but I know if I every go again he on call I won’t be staying so if he there I prefer y’all to go to another hospital!!!!
The Womans Imaging Center at Southern Hills Hospital is a satelite facility which was wonderful. Parking was more available and closer to the building than hospital parking. The staff was just as friendly and helpful as at the hospital. I highly recommend using this facility if given a choice. It is more convenient and the care to patients is just as good.
The Staff was AMAZING! I had an outpatient surgery and Mary, Marie and all the staff I had the pleasure of being treated by were so attentive and caring. I was given misinformation from my Dr’s scheduler of my arrival time and they never skipped a beat getting me in and settled early. I highly recommend this facility as they have the best staff!!
I was asked permission to be checked in by a brand new employee. He was very polite and personable, and confidently asked his coach for assistance/confirmation as needed. Then, my imaging technician was light-hearted and efficient; got me in and out very quickly Ben though I was a walk-in (no advance appointment). Couldn’t have asked for more.
The intake person was a little bit rude because I ran 10 minutes later and she was ready to go home. She indicated she needed my intake info, which I had already completed on line. She eventually found it after I had already completed the documents. The technician was super excellent and did an amazing job. She was very, very kind and gentle.
Horrible hospital they treated my bf when we both had ear infection but didn't wanna treat me so I had to use my bf eardrops and also one time I was in labour but they didn't know apparently and couldn't give birth in that hospital so they had to transfer me to vandy all bc it was my first child and I didn't know what labour felt like
From the lady who greeted us at the registration desk to the lady who helped me get into our car, the treatment we (my wife and I) received was excellent! The care givers conveyed a real interest in my well being. Dr. King is outstanding in his personable , patient focused approach! I would highly recommend this facility to everyone!
This ER is the best and most efficient I’ve ever seen! The nurse and doctor that took care of me were absolutely amazing. The nurse and doctor talked to me and answered all my questions and were very nice. I can’t say enough good things about this ER. I would recommend this ER to everyone I know. Thank you for being so kind to me!
They got me in right away without a wait at all! The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was more than accommodating. I was having stomach pain so they started an IV right away to provide my body some comfort while they ran tests. Turns out it was just a stomach virus but they made sure to rule out anything serious first.
Concierge at entry desk was very helpful and positive; got me quickly in for my appointment, and the nurse tech was friendly and knowledgeable about what would happen with my testing. Expected to spend about an hour, maybe hour and a half; was in and out in roughly 30 minutes. Way faster and more pleasant than I expected!
Where to begin! So many wonderful nurses including but not limited to Theresa, Tammy and Janet in endoscopy. I had a couple minor issues with my iv due to my tiny veins and they were so comforting and like family. Crazy how in a few short hours you can become close. Glad to see there are still kind people in the world.
The staff and nurses were top notch. So helpful, polite and friendly! I don't think I've ever been to a medial office or clinic with such friendly staff and nurses. They really should be commended! The actual clinic is a total dump. I felt like I was in a some janky old hospital ER in a very bad part of town. Terrible.
In my whole life, I'd never had to go to an ER until I cut my finger with a kitchen knife which needed stitches. The intake nurse changed the initial bandage and cleaned the wound. I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes to see a doctor who numbed the finger and did the stitches. A week later, my finger is fine.
My recent surgery was a very positive experience in every way. All the staff were very relational & positive. In fact, after stopping for lunch in the cafeteria before leaving, my wife and I commented that it had actually been a fun day! The only downside was having to be there at 7 AM for an 11 AM surgery.
4 stars because EVERYTHING was great except for the food. Breakfast:The eggs were runny and gritty. Lunch: the chicken sandwich was extremely dry and tough. Dinner: the meatloaf looked like gelatin and was only edible with the gravy they put on it. Otherwise I rather enjoyed my stay recovering from surgery.
I had same day surgery May 2 at Southern Hills Medical Center. Dr. Patrick Davis performed my surgery. Everything went flawlessly and I was discharged home before noon. I was treated so well by everyone. Dr. Davis is the best! I am recovering nicely at home. My treatment could not have been better!
I've always had a good experience. Sad, but this was my 3rd hospitalization this year. With or without insurance, they treat me with respect and kindness. The cleaning people are the most kindest, sweetest individuals. They give you a warm loving feeling. Thank you for being top notch in my eyes.
If you have ever encountered Rebecca at the main entrance, your day will be golden. She knows this hospital very well and her fun and playful and loving attitude is everything. She definitely is a wonderful front desk receptionist/customer representative for this hospital. Blessings to her.
I was a little apprehensive going to Southern Hills since I live in Murfreesboro and use the hospitals there. I can say with a doubt I had excellent service from the greeting at the front desk to them getting me in the car to go home. The inpatient nurses, recovery nurses were all great!
Honestly the most amazing experience I’ve ever had with an emergency room! From the moment I arrived until discharge, the care was friendly, prompt, and efficient! I don’t have enough words for how impressed and appreciative I am! Thank you nurse, Lori and PA, Michael…incredible job!
I’m overwhelmed with the service received during an emergency situation. Every single staff member was 100% present & available to expedite our needs. Competent staff coupled with a positive, driven attitude equates to excellent service! This is truly the Chic-Fil-A of healthcare:)
I was very pleased with the care I received at Southern Hills Hospital during my recent, out patient colonoscopy. The nurses were especially attentive to my needs, both in pre op, during the procedure, and in recovery. All the doctors were professional, yet friendly and caring.
We are so fortunate to have this hospital in Nashville! Clean, comfortable, and the staff cannot be beat! Excellent care from the receptionists, nurses and doctors. It's never fun having to go to the hospital, but if you have to go, I'd highly recommend TriStar Southern Hills!
Good experience with the medical care but I do think the pre-registration questionnaire is very extensive for some elderly patients. For patients who don't have access to computers at home, everything has to be done onsite. Without help, it's a lot of paper work to complete.
In 2022 and early 2023, I have sent to Southern Hills, for several test, Out Patient & ER. Everyone who helped care for me was kind and professional. This made my experience more pleasant. Life is difficult when a person is sick and good care helps us to feel cared for
I was at Southern Hills this afternoon for an Echocardiogram and CAT scan. Staff at registration and all the technicians made me very comfortable and were extremely professional. I hope to stay healthy, but if I need medical care I will gladly go to Southern Hills.
The staff was very courteous and understanding of my needs. Southern hills is a very clean hospital and very efficient. It is a great location because my wife hates driving in traffic. Should I have any other procedures Southern Hills would be on top of the list.
The hospital appears to exaggerate its busyness and intentionally prolong waiting times, despite not actually being very busy. The doctor who treated me in the emergency room lacked expertise, but was pleasant and attractive. I regret to say this.
Unfortunately had to go to the emergency room 2 times last week but I wouldn't have rather gone to any other one. The care and attention I was given was remarkable. Super clean facility as well. I truly appreciate Dr. Burke and his whole team.
From the time we walked in the front door til the time we left after my out patient surgery was a great experience. Very nice people. My nurses in the surgery hold area were so wonderful and went above and beyond to make me comfortable, all
As a critically ill patient airlifted to thie hospital, I found the hospital to be a great one. Although I do not remember anything from the first 4 or 5 days as I was out of it, I found the staff, doctors, and nurses and other caregivers
from the front desk staff who checked me in to each and every health care professional I encountered along the way, this was a smooth, seamless experience. All employees were 10/10 and many went above and beyond by showing extra kindness.
Intake nurse was great. Otherwise really bad experience. I feel like my nurses would have been good but I never saw them due to another emergency in the ER. But instead of assigning another nurse to check in on me, they abandoned me for
I wish I could give 0 star. I brought my sister for extreme abdominal pain on 12/4 /23 around 2130. We waited patiently while she was suffering in pain for a couple of hour. I expressed my concerns to receptionist that her symptoms were
I was treated with respectful, caring and compassionate doctors, nurses, techs and staff during my stay. I appreciate the exceptional care I received. They were very thorough and I felt like the entire team was rooting for me.
Everyone was very nice n treated me good but after my surgery n I recovered I noticed my top lip was swollen n sore . I Dnt know what happen but til this day it’s just now going down … other than that I’m ok!!!
I have been in hospital middle management for 35/years and unfortunately I have had to visit many hospitals around the country. I cannot say enough great things about the absolute most caring and sincere
I sat in the emergency room with a broken hand for over an hour while the nurses found time to be giving each other jokes. No ice pack or anything else given. I lived near this hospital. It is the worst.
Staff were very helpful, Dr's showed empathy towards every treatment related to my mom's issue and some nurses went above and beyond to tend to my mom's Healthcare. Very happy with over all experience.
Terrible emergency room. My father arrived in an ambulance and was sat in a hard chair for 45 minutes with no medical attention. Being busy is not an excuse for horrific medical care.
I spent several hospital stays over the last few months. I enjoyed every aspect of Southern Hills. The nurses, the techs, the cleaning crew and meals everyone made my stays enjoyable.
They are great! Very attentive and very efficient in their treating me. Great friendly staff and they get you right and and right out. I recommend TriStar Southern Hills to anybody!!
I had a fantastic service and kind care from the hospital, the nurses, doctors. They were very personable. They listened and were so good with helping me feel good thru the procedure
I shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes for my appointment. If my appointment is at 12pm, I should be called back within a few minutes of that time, not 45 minutes. Do better
Had to be admitted for DKA directly from another ER. Transition was seamless and went smoothly. Had the best care from all of the doctors and nurses. Definitely 5 stars!
Rachel was an excellent ultrasound person. She was very friendly Rachel was a excellent ultrasound person. She was very friendly and nice knowledgeab.
The nursing staff here are best in KLAS. Incredibly kind, incredibly caring, always addressing my needs. Give these nurses a raise!
