Close and convenient, price was okay in the beginning of our rental but with in the the two years there my rent went up after a short while and then the system kept booting my rental insurance out so when I would pay my rent to my surprise it was much higher than expected only to find out the rent was raised and they said they had no proof of rental insurance so I had to show proof of insurance multiple times due to the system booting my info out which things very inconvenient. Apparently there’s new management which has made things even more difficult and upsetting. I’ve had some personal issues going on between moving to another state and the holidays plus recent deaths in my family it’s been very trying. Well thing is I emptied my storage the day after Thanksgiving which made me 2 days late. So when I went into the office to tell them I moved out then they tried to charge me for another full month. This was very upsetting, they did not care about my trials and difficulties they proceeded to say they still have to charge me. I spoke to a manager the next day and she did nothing to help me. I was upset but after another day passed I decided to go back and pay for credit sake but the manager sent my account to collections only after a few days late. This company is ruthless with no heart. Very risky place to rent from.

A couple months ago my friend and I came to rent a storage unit after a long day of moving. When we arrived in the afternoon, the sign said they would be back in 30 min. With multiple people waiting 50 min later the young male manager and the young female employee arrived with their food. No apologies for the long wait. After taking about another 30 min process of renting the unit we find out that they are closing in 10 minutes and we didn’t have time to store our things. We asked why would they rent it out to us if they weren’t even going to let us store our things? The manager blamed it on the new employee. We then asked since it was a ridiculous mistake on their end if we could still store our things? Even after the 1.5 hour process the manager did not let us store our things. The manager was so rude and entitled he didn’t care that they totally wasted our time and didn’t even apologize once. I asked him “Aren’t you the manager?” because this is just terrible customer service. In which he quickly responded “I am the manager” without even hearing my question and just ready to use the line. Its clear to me this place is ran by early 20 year olds and teenagers who hate their jobs. There are plenty of great storage units in San Diego so please save yourself the awful experience of going to this one!

I been renting a storage unit here for the past year or so..Idk why people keep saying that they're prices are EXCELLENT and REASONABLE!! No they are NOT? When I first got my storage unit the price was ok but they do take advantage it's a scam most businesses do where they give you a more "reasonable" price then they increase the price all of a sudden out of no where after a little while..my price went from more affordable to non affordable which makes it super hard to be able to pay for my storage unit and they don't care since it's a business if life happens, if you lost your wages, or had a family emergency ect you still need to pay the amount they raised it to if you want to keep renting your unit if not then you need to empty it which is what I'm being forced to do. San Diego and it's RIDICULOUSLY high prices don't help at all but in these times and economy it doesn't help when they keep raising the prices for EVERYTHING including storage? I been paying more than $300 a month for the past year and I will not anymore, I'm done and I can't afford it so keep your business and high priced unit's because I'm out!

It’s nice looking, clean, and new, but BOTH elevators are now broken. One elevator was broken for at least a month. People showed up with movers and trucks loaded full of their things and were desperately trying to figure out what to do at 5 PM. The movers charge exorbitant fees to unload things again and/or keep things in their vans. Customers received no advance warning. Many had to rent additional storage units somewhere else. They are also unable to retrieve the things they have in the storage. There is no date when the elevators will definitely be fixed and no offers of refunds or solutions. They haven’t answered their phones or left a message about the broken elevators either.

What a wonderful facility and great staff. I was moving and completely ran out of space and realized at the last minute we needed a storage unit. Within hours I was able to get a great rate on a storage unit and move it all in within hours. Shaun went above and beyond to help make everything run as smoothly as possible. He was professional, knowledgeable, fair, and patient. We had a ton of questions and complications. He made sure to answer all of our questions and made sure everything was taken care of. Shaun made sure the process went seamlessly. Thank you so much for making a stressful situation go so smooth! Highly recommended.

Staff was super friendly, well behaved, very professional and outstanding. We had made a reservation and had a few questions, Ruben made the entire process easy. We came into the office and we were well greeted. We toured the facility, floors were super clean everything was well kept. We had various questions and got the answers we needed. I highly recommend this facility. Easy to get to, no issues at all. This was our first experience with the storage and had our doubts. Ruben was very knowledgeable, professional and educated. My family had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the process and the interaction with the employees

This facility has horrible hours. You're not able to access your stuff past 6 pm. They actually shut everything down by 5:30/5:45 pm and kick everyone out. Also, there is absolutely no cell phone service OR WIFI in the building so don't try and call anyone or use your internet, it won't work. The front office was closed multiple times when I tried to inquire about a space. First time, I got there at 5:50 pm, which is understandable if they shut down early. The next time I came, the front office was locked in the middle of the day. Although it's a new facility, these operational issues killed it for me.

The location is not only super clean & well maintained, but the two gentlemen working in the office are so professional, and suuuuper kind. They both manage to assist the customers walking in and juggle the demands from the customers who are coming in/out of their storage and asking for a cart to transport their belongings from the unit to their vehicles. They make the process of renting a unit so easy & stress free. Thank you so much for taking the stress out of getting a storage unit. ;-)

FALSE ADVERTISING They quoted me one price over the phone, I made the reservation online based on the price they quoted. The went in the next day and they increased the price. Gave some lame excuse about how their employee made a mistake. NOT MY PROBLEM. They did nothing to try and resolve their mistake, just kept trying to sell me a higher priced unit. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. I walked out and went somewhere else.

One of the best deals for storage I have found in the area, brand new and clean, but closes super early. The elevator stops working 15 minutes before close which is between 5-6 pm. After that you can’t do anything to get into your unit unless it is on the first floor. Rented it to store my boards and can’t get them back in time after surfing.

Soo because they weren't smart enough to incorporate the system of leaving your ID when you get a moving cart..their carts got stolen. So they can't provide carts and expect people to move their storage. They said they aren't ordering more. Can't wait to move my stuff. Really bad for a new facility. Making good customers suffer.

Shaun was so helpful. He made the reservation process so effortless and easy. He showed me the space I was looking at and answered all my questions before I could even ask them. The location is new and just recently opened so the storage spaces are very clean. I would definitely recommend this location to my friends/family.

I was quoted exactly what I expected and they offered an insurance which is very reasonable for the amount of merchandise and property stored. I have to update. The manager called to “make it right”. I can’t give them 5 stars because it took too much effort to get here. But the did make it right. Poor. Bate and switch. Had a confirmed reservation for 99 per month. When I got there they said they were sold out. My only option was 109 per month

U-Stor-It was great at helping me get into a unit. Maria provided excellent customer service while taking me through the process from when the beginning to end. Everything from the lobby to the storage hallways was noticeably clean. I’m glad I picked this location to store my belongings.

U Store IT is the place to go when you want a reliable place to store things that you cannot keep in your house. The place is very clean and safe. Easy to access and the customer service is extremely helpful and always ready to help you and answer all the questions you have.

Here you will encounter a Great Friendly staff. The units were very tall along with reasonable detentions that allowed space to store multiple furniture items. The building is also air-conditioned to prolong the lifespan of certain items with in the storage units.

Shaun was very helpful! He was very nice and was very entertaining as well. They were very fast and took care of my needs. Great location and easy access to the units. If you’re looking for a friendly safe storage unit, I highly recommend visiting Shaun!

It's brand new only open for a month now. The only negative I have is the gate shuts off at 5:45 and that's too soon considering traffic and all 8:00 p.m.would be better for the people that work and just want to drop something off or pick up.

STORAGE GETS BROKEN INTO. Do not rent from here. All my sister stuff is stolen and gone.staff does not want to help and just tell you to make a police report. No one is wanting to help to identify or review cameras.

Helpful staff and quick response. Very clean facility with indoor parking and all conditioned units. The one downside is that they require you to obtain one of their locks, you can't bring your own.

Great place to get a storage unit fast and they have great first month deals. I reserved and got the unit in less than 30 minutes, the front desk people Juan and Maria took care of everything fast.

Online and over the phone payment systems, don't work properly. Went to the office in person to make a payment 15 mins before closing and doors were already locked even though they close at 6.

As others have noted, this place will reel you in with a lower price and then increase the price 50% or more within 6 months. Avoid this place, very shady business practices.

Total bait and switch scam. Rented a unit for 79 dollars, rent was raised twice in one year for no reason. Hours are terrible. elevator seldom functions properly.
