This review is for two VERY LARGE moves for St Austin Catholic Church and School. Unicorn Moving and Storage moved our school Pre-K through 8th grade from their temporary location into a brand new 6 floors building that was still an active worksite which required accommodations on Unicorn’s part. A week later they moved the parish staff from their temporary location into the new building. Unicorn works on an hourly basis instead of a weight basis. Their bid was right on target with other companies that we interviewed. As it turns out, the final invoice was below budget which allowed us to give their moving employees a nice bonus. We went with Unicorn for several reasons, all of which proved to be right on target. We were so impressed with their very well thought out strategy for loading the trucks. They were so flexible and able to pivot as things came up during the move-out as well as the move-in as it was an active construction site. Charles, the owner, Chili, their salesperson and Brent, the foreman of our moves met with us several times to walk our temporary campuses as well as our new building, so they knew exactly what to expect. In both moves we had to do some shuffling of furniture that was not being moved at that time as well as loading. They were very accommodating with that part of our move. The school move required six trucks. They loaded one day, stored our things over night and unloaded the next day. For the parish office move it was a one-day move-loaded and unloaded using two trucks. We had the best moving crew for both moves! They were efficient, had a system for delivering boxes and furniture to the 6 floors. They were friendly and had such positive attitudes. They were careful with our furniture, and so accommodating when we changed our minds on where an item was being placed. They are professionals all the way around. This has been the best experience we have had with a moving company!!! We will be using them again in the summer of 2024 when we move our priests into their new rectory. I hired Unicorn Moving Storage with the expectation of a smooth transition for my 1-bedroom apartment move. Regrettably, the experience was fraught with issues. 1. Misunderstanding of Instructions: The movers arrived unprepared to move the entire apartment, causing unnecessary delays. My initial inventory list was only meant as examples, but it was mistaken as the complete list of items, resulting in confusion. 2. Excessive Time Consumption: For a mere 1-bedroom apartment, the move took more than 10 hours. This was not only unreasonable but also unprofessional, given that previous moves in Austin for a 2 bedroom took less than half this time. 3. Property Damage: Our entertainment center was broken during the move, adding further frustration to an already challenging experience. 4. Unsatisfactory Resolution: Unicorn Moving Storage’s response was to offer a minimal 1-hour discount, a gesture that does not come close to compensating for the time, stress, and damage encountered. 5. Overall Disappointment: From miscommunication to inefficiency and inadequate problem-solving, my trust in this company has been entirely shattered. I strongly urge potential customers to consider other moving companies. The lack of preparation, professional execution, and proper resolution make Unicorn Moving Storage a choice I deeply regret and cannot recommend.

Unicorn moving is EXCEPTIONAL!! They were very responsive, gave an accurate estimate, and provided excellent customer service. Jesse, Shawn, Darrel and Jose were fantastic!! I used Unicorn to move apartments across town. Victor and Caleb showed up on time and were extremely professional. I cannot say enough about the service. From past experience, I was afraid of letting someone else move the old antique pieces I have. After watching Victor and Caleb wrap and move my other furniture, i was confident that they could do it. All three gentleman showed up prepared to work. They were each extremely efficient while making sure to take care of each belonging as if it was their own. Robert and Jorgen came earlier than scheduled and did a fantastic job. Easily crushed the entire move without breaking a sweat. Super nice, easy, fast, and professional. Great customer service both on the phone and in-person. I submitted for a quote online and within 2 minutes the office called me back. They had a good connection and spoke clearly and plainly, making everything very easy. They scheduled me for last-minute work for the next day in under 18 hours with no extra fees for it being so last-minute. I'll be happily scheduling them again in a couple weeks for a larger job.

After researching and speaking with many moving companies, I decided to go with Unicorn. Kimberly in sales was responsive, helpful, and answered all my questions. Our movers, Darrel and Jose, did an excellent job for us even though they were short one man. It was a long distance move but they got in done in one day! They also used care with our antiques. The price was fair and the manager even extended a credit for the missing 3rd man (nice!). I would recommend this company to anyone; they are fair and honest, and great at what they do.

It was my first time hiring professional movers. My wife and I were having a hard time deciding who we can trust to move us. We chose Unicorn Moving after reading the reviews. Rick Moseley, Eddie Gavin, and Andrew Ibarra just wrapped up our Houston to Round Rock move, and they were awesome. I hired Unicorn to pack up several rooms, including the kitchen and my closet (which was not an easy feat). The first two days went smoothly, the move from Austin to Houston did not go as smoothly but they had Israel and Juan drive back to Houston to get things squared away. I would definitely recommend Israel to be your foreman as he was so kind and accommodating. All in all, they did a good job and corrected anything that I was not happy with.

Jørgen and Juan were phenomenal and so very professional! They made me smile while I was dealing with a difficult situation with my closing process. They made an excellent team. Best moving company! These guys did an amazing job moving our entire warehouse - shelving and racks included. They were on time, efficient and organized. Everything arrived safely and they did it all in one day! They brought four trucks and seven guys to get the job done. Easy to work with and great communication during the planning process. The movers worked so hard and had a great attitude. Will definitely use Unicorn again.

Great service and efficiency from scheduling to moving day. Tammie got back to me immediately and was easy to schedule with. When they day came, Chris, Caleb, and Jessie were absolute pros. They arrived on time and immediately got to work, and worked hard! Everything got moved quicker than estimated, and with no hiccups. Had an awesome experience. Was fast, efficient and help was easily available on the phone. The move was scheduled, paid for and wrapped up in under a week.
