I never thought this area is so beautiful, calm, peaceful, and gorgeous so much. It took a little bit of time and curiosity to explore around. I saw a lot of people jogging and walking along different trails. I hope I could spend more time running and wondering around. Such a great place immersing yourself into the beautiful Nature. I felt relaxed and calm after the visit

Never thought I'd be one for bird watching but everyone I meet on the trail is so friendly and willing to tell me what's around. Great views. Trails could sometimes use a bit more maintenance (wear shoes that can handle mud) but overall it's a fantastically calm and beautiful area.

Such a lovely place to go walking! Lots of flowers and other wildlife! We saw many cute ducks and no coyotes. Be warned there were a lot of gnats! But still incredible! And lots of planes and sea planes coming in.

Nice wilderness wetlands, marsh areas and waterfront walks. No amenities. Paid parking on UW campus. Popular area at times. Great place to see wildlife and families of ducks and geese (do not feed!!) Walk slowly and quietly and you may get glimpses of beavers and turtles before they dive into the water as you pass.
Very cool trail system with great great views of our waterways and Mt Rainier. Bunny rabbits are not as timid here. Some really cool spots with benches to sit or draw. I used to torment the geese in these wetlands in the early 80s when it was just swamp. This when I learned, once you're wet, can't get any wetter.
This is a wonderful place to birdwatch. The trails are well-maintained, and you can find quite a diversity of avian wildlife present during any season. It's serene and absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend taking a stroll!
I saw turtles and a blue heron on my most recent visit to the park. The gardens are always beautiful, no matter the time of year. I appreciate that the park is usually not that busy, it makes for a peaceful afternoon.
Wonderful place to get out and walk and enjoy scenes of the waterfront. If you are staying at Seattle Children's Hospital then this is a very close place to get out and clear your mind. Take a deep breath and relax.
Nice wetlands, but it's a bit over-developed to be called a "natural area".

Saw a kingfisher here for the first time, and recently there was a nest of freshly hatched pied-billed grebes. Best place close to the city for birding
This is one of the best places in the city to see an amazing diversity of wildlife.

Peaceful and calming trails, great water access for paddlers, and chunky beavers everywhere. Good times in the City.
Lots of bird species here (averaging 30 per visit), diverse habitats, wide paths, easy for social distancing.
If you live in U District it’s a much needed relief from the hustle and bustle of University street
I have ran here for years and love this place so much.
