Between 3:30PM-4:30PM today I stopped at three separate Atlanta USPS locations (1190 N Highland Ave, 822 Ralph McGill, and 455 Moreland Ave) and none were serviced by employees even though this was during store hours. The doors for the Moreland Ave location were actually closed and locked entirely even though it was an hour and a half before close. I don’t know if USPS employees are supposed to be paid to do nothing but I certainly don’t pay taxes to fund lazy employees who are going to close early with no reason. This is absolutely unacceptable and I want an explanation.
I’ve been to this post office several times and they are never, ever open past 3:30, even though their hours are till 5pm. I just got here at 3:45 and they’re closed with their usual system is down sign. I’ve also been in here before and the man who usually works here was kicking people out at 4pm. I’m not sure if they’re understaffed or what. If it’s after 3pm, they probably aren’t open. Plus, the guy who is always working in there is always a little unfriendly.
This is where I have my po box. Always helpful. They are closed for lunch so do check the hours before you come. Edit: the main two employees retired from here. Ever since then if you have more than 5 packages they send you to another post office. What good is a post office that won't ship packages? 20 pieces is to many? I understand ot takes longer to serve customers with more packages but isn't the job of a parcel carrier to ship packages?
This guy was EXTREMELY RUDE! All I asked was to use some tape to finish taping up this package. He refused and said I needed to purchase a whole entire roll of packaging tape. I have been so many post offices and they have never done that. He didn’t even take a look at the package to see what type of shipping I needed. But the moment I walked up to him he had a MAJOR attitude what a complete and total A$$hole! Beware of this post office!
The Post Office voice mail is the WORST ever - and that is an extreme thing to say. I think it's centralized. When I finally figured out you couldn't get a person by answering the questions the automated system asks (or hitting zero), I finally got a recording that says the wait time is 42 to 62 minutes - just to answer a simple question! We'll see if they actually call back in the next hour and two minutes.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I was told there was a 5 package maximum by Jordan. He was very dismissive, rude and condescending. He refused to tell me the closest USPS. The other customers and I were baffled by this new rule and his attitude. He says he doesn’t have a supervisor. I’ve emailed USPS and will follow up. Avoid unless you want to be intimidated and belittled by a 300lb guy.
Staff here is rude every time. I was on line to return a package and needed to buy tape to seal it. When I got to the counter I was sent away bc the package wasn’t taped. You’d think they’d want you to purchase the tape before using it. But okay I taped it on the spot in 5 seconds. She didn’t care and refused to accept my package and beckoned to the person behind me to service them. What a power trip…
Just probably had the most enjoyable post office visit ever. Thanks to Renata and staff! Was helped in the lobby area with picking out the right packaging and labels, then no wait for mailing a bunch of packages. Fun, friendly conversation...Everyone in this location was super nice and helpful — full of smiles. This will now be my go-to spot for shipping things in the future. Wow... thanks y’all.
Terrible, rude service here—imperious guy behind the counter would not let me buy a single international first class stamp five minutes before they closed for their lunch break with no one else in line. He took obvious delight in being a jerk. I’ve purposefully avoided going here, which I think is his goal—a P.O. with no customers.
I came in 5 minutes before they closed for lunch. I had my item and label ready to go. While putting the label on the package, they told me they would be closing in 2 minutes. I told them it would be ready before then. They immediately closed the gate on me. Why would you do that? They were also out of Flat Rate envelopes.
this place is NEVER open. The last three times ive tried, it was closed even though it was during stated hours of operation. At this point i will gladly pay more to ship stuff at ups or fed ex. at least they open when they say they will. The death of the US Postal Service cant come fast enough. privatize this sucker
Supposed to open at 9am, at 9:20am still closed with blinds drawn. A line of 10 people all gave up and left. This used to be my absolute favorite post office in Atlanta and sadly, I won’t be coming here again. A few weeks ago they were also randomly closed during scheduled hours due to “technical issues.”
This is THE most reliable post office within a 10 mile radius. Seriously. Open when it should be, closed when it should be and has parking. Anyone who has rated this place poorly has clearly not tried to go to nearby locations. I don't need my postal worker to smile, I just need them to send my mail.
Worst customer experience I’ve ever encountered. Man at the counter was very rude. Don’t come here if you would like them to tape anything (as a piece of paper on a package, because they won’t) very sarcastic and rude as if he hates his job. Won’t be going here ever again.
I went to this post office because it was on my way, and I LOVE it. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's such a huge contrast to the slow, rude post office near me in Decatur on Ponce. I will go out of my way to come here instead of the one closer to me. Thank you!
This location likes to close the office way before the time posted on the door and on the website. Whoever was in charge 12/19 should just look for another job. I have an important package to ship and leave work at 4 by the time I get there it was closed.
Incredibly rude man that works here. Complains about scanning packages, complains when shipping labels are not printed in bulk (my computer won't allowit) then complains when customers use mail slots to avoid having to deal with him.
I’ve had to come to this post office twice in the last few weeks and I’ve always received wonderful and friendly service. Mr. Reece has helped me both times and I’ve never had a line or wait. Highly recommend this location.
Mr. Jordan, was acting like he wanted to fight everybody that came in. He said no you can't do that to everybody in there. Look like he was on steroids, he needs to be in a gym somewhere working on he's customer sev ice.
The customer service clerk needs a serious attitude adjustment and retraining in proper customer service. This was the worst post office experience I have ever had, this man does not belong in front of customers.
This place loses packages constantly and has no customer service available, always "Call the 1-800 number". I've migrated my entire business to FedEx as the price difference is just not worth the headache.
Lunch break from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. The employee was kicking out everybody at 1:24pm . He said he need to wash his hands to get ready for his lunch... He was very rude . All costumes was in shock.
"Let's make our hours as inconvenient as possible so that we don't have to deal with any customers!" No wonder they lose so much money every year. Glad my taxpayer dollars are so hard at work.
Mr. Jordan is the best clerk I’ve ever worked with at any US post office. I had to be there for a while and heard him with all the customers. This guy just makes your day better.
Unbelievable they are so rude, very bad service. What is unacceptable is that we have this service in such a nice community. Vahi deserve a better post office service!
I go to this post office sometimes at 4:45 and it is never open. This has happened 3 times in the past few months. I am giving up. I am not sure if it is still open.
Closed between 12pm-2pm daily for lunch. You do realize your customers use their lunch hour for this type of task, right? Also, a 2 hour lunch? Must be nice!
Obviously avoid post offices when you can, but this is the best experience I’ve had in atlanta thus far compared to four other post offices I’ve visited.
Worst USPS location in the city. Have visited several times during posted business hours to find the service counter closed. Frustrating.
Rude service and poor customer service. I now drive past this USPS to use another USPS location purely based on the service and staff.
This was the most easy post office experience of my life! No line, helpful attendant, and they had the cute stamps I wanted in stock!
FYI they are now closed 130 til 230, despite what it says on the paper they left in my mailbox, the USPS website, and google
Drove from the other side of town to get mail during normal hours but found the office to be closed. Very disappointed.
The location and space remind us of New Orleans. Love that this post office is closed for lunch from 1:30 pm - 2:30pm.
Offer package drop off, I waited in line for 30 minutes just to drop a package off that handled all postage online.
Came in at 1:20 pm; shade was pulled down with this sign on it. Music playing in back office. Sweet.
Went with my wife to return some stuff and we had the rudest customer service we have ever seen
This is the only mail service location I use. Very helpful and I've never had a problem.
Local post office love the staff this store is always busy they handle you quickly!!
Love it. Great customer service. Don't go during lunch they're closed for am hour.
Always super clean. Very quick service. The employees are very kind and helpful.
Called 22 times without a vm or someone picking up.....USPS is terrible
No employees here, even though it's outside their stated lunch hours.
I got there at 9am when they opened and had a great experience!
Closed over 30 minutes early with no signage or reason to why.
My favorite place to ever send mail from. V friendly folks.
Great service and central location for a post office box.
The lady working at the counter is neglectful and rude
Closed at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Over an hour early...
before you go here, call them.. 'today is O.K.?'
Terrible attitudes and they always close early.
The staff is incredibly rude and dismissive.
Mr Jordan was a pleasure to deal with today
Love this location. Staff are friendly.
Worst customer service. Don't go here.
Closed window 12 minutes before 5pm.
Great attitudes here! Refreshing!
God only knows when they work.
The staff was rude and short.
Poor customer service.
