""Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)" When you use USPS at this location, expect to see this a lot"
"We arrived as soon as the post office opened this morning (6/16/23) but apparently the employee behind the desk did not feel like doing his job! The first words out of his mouth were, “Hurry up and get your packages, because I take my break at 10:30"
"They’re NOT delivering our packages and they have said 2x’s they did a “delivery attempt” for 2 days and nobody was home"
"I’ve had a box here for more than 20 years, & until recently parking has always been available"
"Tried to open a PO Box at this location since it's one of a few open on Saturdays (though an employee mentioned it's not going to last long since they don't have business on Saturdays)"
"Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)" When you use USPS at this location, expect to see this a lot. But don't waste your time hunting around your front door for a delivery notice. Why? Because they didn't leave one. And when your doorbell doesn't ring all day, don't call the repair man to come fix it. The postman was on your street but did he ring your doorbell? Of course not! That would require getting out his truck which he really doesn't want to do because he's stoned to bejeezus (and reading your mail is way more fun). Never ever ever use this facility unless you need an excuse for not doing something that required a timely shipment. Out of 8 recent USPS shipments (eBay, please please let me use UPS! Please!), 5 got screwed up. 4 got "Notice Left" despite someone being there pretty much all the time and one wound up in my neighbor's mailbox despite having MY address on it. Well done USPS. You're only achievement is filling my mailbox with useless, earth destroying flyers that nobody ever looks at. You've made the case to get entirely defunded. In fact, let's abolish the USPS, all mail becomes electronic and UPS and Fedex do the shipments. At least then, there's a fighting chance.
We arrived as soon as the post office opened this morning (6/16/23) but apparently the employee behind the desk did not feel like doing his job! The first words out of his mouth were, “Hurry up and get your packages, because I take my break at 10:30.” Then when I started to load the packages next to him he was very snappy and told me to wait. I was simply complying with his original barking order to “Hurry up!” Then, he proceeded to tell us that we had chosen a bad day to come to the post office because his computer was not working. Unbelievable!! Instead of trying to fix it or sending us to the postal worker beside him, he said he could not mail our packages. Since when does a computer glitch mean that mail can’t be sent?!! He sent us to a tiny post office around the corner assuring us that it would be much faster and easier for us. First of all I have never been turned away from a post office because of a computer problem, but where he sent us was not set up for large mailings at all. It took 2 and 1/2 hours to mail 50 packages of the same exact thing!!! I tried calling to speak with a manager but no one picked up the phone. He just had no desire to work. Just do your job sir!
They’re NOT delivering our packages and they have said 2x’s they did a “delivery attempt” for 2 days and nobody was home. Well, I’ve been home the past 2 days and nobody knocked or tried using the call box so I could let them in and they didn’t try to leave it in the leasing office! USPS has no problem with their workers lying! There are NO receipts/or slips left on our door, or at the leasing office or in our mail box that says they made the attempt. If they were required to leave a slip that would at least show proof that a postal carrier was actually on site. But no...clearly all they have to do is electronically lie and say we weren’t home. This has happened more than 4x’s now!! What will it take to change it? Probably nothing since USPS takes no pride in the service their SUPPOSED to provide. No wonder people would rather use UPS or FedEx!
I’ve had a box here for more than 20 years, & until recently parking has always been available. While the USPS staff are quick to say ‘we don’t control the parking’ - I’m paying to use this location & now you can’t park there consistently. They no parking is technically allocated to them since new owners bought the parking lot. Today there’s simply no one at the booth to let anyone in the parking lot. Most of the surrounding blocks are a red curb... AVOID THIS LOCATION- GO SOMEWHERE MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. The guard came back- turns out he goes to lunch daily from 2-2:30. If he’s gone push the call button at the gate & cross your fingers haha... New info: staff says they will lose all parking in the lot some time soon.
Tried to open a PO Box at this location since it's one of a few open on Saturdays (though an employee mentioned it's not going to last long since they don't have business on Saturdays). Completed application online, came on Friday and wanted to check available PO Box numbers - person in charge wasn't there and was asked to come back on Tuesday. 1 HOUR WASTED! Came back today (Tuesday, July 5th) - person in charge of PO Boxes still not there. Supervisor, Ed Digroni, was completely unhelpful and useless. ANOTHER HOUR WASTED. And then they wonder why there's no business and they have to close certain locations, cut down hours, etc...
I always go there and they’re legit. Yesterday (12-19-2022) I had three large priority mail envelopes and he said the spiel that’s is normally said for boxes. Then I blurted out “Oh, they’re just gift cards” and he waited till I was done paying. I didn’t even see the work he did, ever so quickly he plunked the three Priority Envelopes down to the floor. Two of those Envelopes, so far, got to its destination I normally trust, but this time, it was a bit shady. He truly shouldn’t say that packaging spiel for Priority Envelopes, Because, you really can’t fit that stuff, into an envelope, dude. Get real and don’t steel.
The staff working here are friendly and sometimes not slow. But, my gripe with this place is that NONE of the pricing shown on the pricing displays for domestic and international shipping is accurate. When I asked about it, the postal work laughed and replied, 'oh, no, those prices aren't accurate anymore'. And that was her entire response. No 'oh, sorry', or 'yeah, we need to update those'. Nope. She acted as though everyone walking through their doors should instantly know that the prices POSTED ON THEIR WALLS are all wrong. W.T.F.
The employees told a crowd of customers waiting for over an hour past the advertised opening time that they couldn't open the post office because they "lost the key." This location already significantly restricted its operating hours, and now they can't even manage to keep the new hours. They never actually keep their posted hours. Not to mention that the neighborhood is like a disgusting war zone. I strongly recommend avoiding this location in favor of a safer, reliable, competent alternative.
Who ever is in charge of the parking lot is dum . I was patiently waiting for the post office to open . Not even causing a ruckus and just on my cell phone . The guard told me to wait outside of the property and I told her that I would wait on the side walk . She also kicked me out saying that I’m still on private property. I told her to show me where does that show i cannot stand on the sidewalk .. once other people start to show up , nothing was said .
When it comes to sending important documents, I trust this Post Office for its outstanding value. The registered mail service here is second to none in terms of affordability. While the service quality is generally excellent, there have been minor delays occasionally. However, the value for the price paid far outweighs these minor inconveniences. I'd recommend this Post Office for anyone seeking a cost-effective way to send important mail securely.
Never pick up the phone and always say they can't access the building even when my phone number is on the package to call. But even then, I'll have my tracking texts come to phone and when it says "Delivery Attempted but can't access building, I'll race outside to see if I can catch them and there are ALWAYS people in the lobby. I'll be outside in less than a minute and they're gone. I honestly hate this place.
I recently used this Post Office for express mail delivery, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. The staff was incredibly efficient and friendly, ensuring that my package reached its destination on time. The quality of their service was top-notch, and the value for the peace of mind I got was worth every penny. I'll definitely be using this Post Office for all my future shipping needs.
I went in this morning to drop off a package and there was no one at the counter. Instead I was directed to the location around the corner on 1055 N Vignes St which has a very long and stagnant line out the door. It's a very pretty location with great parking, but I'm not sure why they weren't taking packages today. Don't know if this during is all of COVID or if I just got unlucky!
I can't say enough good things about United States Postal Service. I needed to send a time-sensitive document, and they not only ensured it reached its destination on time but also provided excellent tracking updates. The attention to detail and the commitment to service quality is unmatched. You won't find better value for your postal needs anywhere else.
Once again my mail has stop coming to my apt got s new mail carrier and my mail stop coming called four times to have it fixed one lady was nice and got it fixed named Maria Just recently it has stopped coming agin - I know I have mail because I get the email alerts... I had an urgent mailing task, and the team at this Post Office handled it flawlessly. They guided me through the process, provided helpful suggestions, and even took the extra step to ensure my package was securely wrapped. The level of professionalism and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. This is definitely my go-to Post Office!
I recently visited the local Post Office and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service I received. The staff was friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to assist me with my mailing needs. It's rare to find such dedicated professionals who genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Highly recommended!
I simply love this P.O. The history, the location. The art on the walls . It's staff have been nothing but helpful, kind. Great prking avail. When you go,just imagine what life was like when this building was first opened and you just may feel the heart and soul of L.A. …
Carrier just cannot seem to find the correct address and still marks 'Delivered'. About 40 lost packages in the last 4 years and still manages to lose packages when I had a Hold Mail Request. This post office is just pitiful when it comes to reliability.
Poor service. Package said it was in transit and that notice was left. Mail man came in and said he didnt have a package for me. I called and there was absolutely no answer. This has happened to me 2x already....Poor Poor service....
Every time I come to this particular USPS the staff are incredibly helpful and patient. Parking is easy, line moves quickly and all the staff are kind. Thank you for making Christmas shipping easy and stress free! ☺️☺️
Dreadlock clerk is the most wonderful mailclerk imaginable. Dude goes the extra mile. Helps customers and his co-workers always ask him for answers. Tells you how to save mobey on postal services too! Hes ideal...
Friendly, helpful staff -personable and often go above and beyond to help. This historic post office is lovely inside - with murals and amazing doors - good to acknowledge the hard-working workers!
The United States Post Office Terminal Annex in front of a Chevron and near LA Placita (900 Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012) looks like a Church. I guess they worship the mail, lol
Helpful staff at Terminal Annex, good place for all USPS postal needs. Gated parking but the attendant was away when I got there causing a backup trying to get in.
Beautiful Building also the location is important historic place in L.A. Lot's of culture museums, churches and Olvera street is very famous.

don't know what the bad reviews are for, this place is great. Wonderful service and efficient postal workers.
This post office hasn't put up the American flag in months, no patriotic workers there. Shame on them!
Worst service, people work at the front desk are so lazy, they need to go to UPS or Fedex to learn
It took 3 minutes of rings before anyone answered...Then I was on hold for 30 minutes...
Quieter than most other locations. Ample parking. Staff here are always very friendly.
Paid for a P.O. box there and they kept loosing my mail AND they were unfriendly!
Super good staff!! They tried their best to help me. Super friendly!!
Always a good place to go for your postage and correspondence needs.
