I promise I have tried everything to have patience with this location. They all know the office complex I live in will not accept our packages when we are unable to accept them personally. So to put a stop to the cat & mouse game of trying to retrieve my packages(simply because I work the same hours as they operate) I have submitted in writing and online to have my packages held at the post office. This has never happened. Even when I went to address this personally, the ladies at the front desk give so much attitude and act as if it's my fault no there reads and/or follow directions. Here we are today once again with this same issue. The mail carrier pulls in front of my building, sits idle then pulls off. I have left a note on the door advising I am home which she would have seen had she gotten out of the truck and actually attempted to deliver my package. USPS is the only courier that I have issues with trying to retrieve any of my packages. I mean even the most basic task are not done. The carrier re-delivers returned mail. I write "RETURN TO SENDER" boldly, maybe I am using invisible ink because even when I physically take it to the location it comes back. You would think that with the constant build up of mail not addressed to me or the fact that there is a name tag inside my box the carrier would comprehend that the mail does not belong to me. I am highly concerned due to the fact that I will be moving soon and will need to forward my mail to my new address and I just do not have the faith that this is going to go smoothly at all. If I could give this location zero stars I would because this service is just so unacceptable. So I will have to be there Monday right when they open to prevent another 'missed delivery" This location really needs to restructure their staff and values because it all lacks any luster of service.
"Another" negative report for this local post office. Today I arrived here at 12:15 p.m to pay on my post office box, along with three other customers and the doors were locked, lights turned off. The time on the door stated 12:30 for closing time. One of the other customer said she asked on earlier visit that day and the clerk told her 12:30 p.m. was closing time. You know why this happens because the workers can get away with it. They want to leave at 12:30 p.m. and not be held up by late arrivers who might have had other errands to run or for whatever reason caused them to arrive at such a short time before close but the fact is, this federal agency stated a close time of 12:30 p.m and the customer actually thought the workers would abide by the responsible duty of their job. No one will probably read this review and question the workers of this occurring and it will happen again and your mail will keep being delivered wrong, offices will close when workers decide they are done for the day and we, the customers will continue paying for their "service." Strange how that works!
I have really tried to give this office the benefit of the doubt. I know the post office has a workforce shortage as well but if it's that bad they may need to begin a restructuring of their business. This location seems to be barely operating. There are days when I've gone over there to mail items and they're closed because they're out to lunch. Everyone is at lunch at the same time where you can't be open for customers? They're also completely closed some days with a sign on the door stating they're closed due to lack of staffing. This makes for an unreliable business for the public they serve and it's highly annoying. For those who sell online it's a huge inconvenience. I really hope they make some positive changes over here, not only for the customers but for the employees as well. You can tell by the vibe of the staff that there are some deep issues that need to be addressed and resolved in order to better position this location for success. Hoping that occurs soon.
A substitute carrier was filling in for my regular carrier and forgot to deliver a package to me but later than evening marked it electronically as delivered. I had to go through the process of filing multiple complains through USPS, file a police report, and dispute the charge with the company I made the purchase with. Then come to find out, it's just normal for them to mark things as delivered sometimes at the end of their shift even if there is a truck still full of packages. To top that off, Idina (spelling?) informed me over the phone when I asked her how it was my problem that their staff do not follow correct procedure, she told me "because you don't get your package" and abruptly disconnected the phone on me. Mind you I do not use foul language, but I do expect answers that make sense when things are backward. This lovely woman informed me that they will not be looking for my package, but if it turns up sometime then I will get it. Great service. Thanks so much!
I've visited this post office many times, and have always received excellent service from the people behind the counter. Their sad, soulless eyes are a little unnerving, though. When I'm waiting in line I like to watch the workers shuffling around as they move papers and parcels endlessly, tirelessly. Once, while a lady was taking forever to buy stamps, I imagined them being forced to wail unholy invocations into the uncaring night which will forever bind them: work day and night without care for the weather or personal safety, hope of gratitude, or any release but death. I was snapped from my reverie as I took a step forward in line. Pondering the saddened clerks and carriers, not permitted to cry, I envisioned them as gears endlessly turning, pressing hard upon one another, to drive the machine deeper through the mire. I salute you, O tireless postal workers, on this day, the feast of all souls. May the numbing find you soon.
I would rate a zero if I could! I received an orange mailer notifying me that they tried to deliver a piece of certified mail. I went up to the post office the very next day to pick it up and a worker there said it was not there so it must be out for delivery. It wasn't. Since I work full time and went up on my day off, my mom stayed home days following to see if it would be delivered and it never showed. She talked to a postal worker and they told her it must have been sent back to the sender! I NEVER got the "final" delivery notice. It was kind of ironic when I went to go pick it up at the postal office, another patron asked me if they lost my package as well. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes but it seems that this usps needs to hire people who actually care about the jobs they do.
Most of the time I get my packages but I had a second deceptive issue today. First time it said delivered when I have a video of the truck stopping in front of my house and the person never got out of the truck. Today it said attempted delivery and it's now held at the carrier for pick up. It did not need to be signed for and they were able get to my door earlier in the day. They delivered paper mail about two hours before they said it was attempted, but there was never a second mail vehicle near my house and no missed you notice, or anything saying where I can pick it up. Only reason I'm aware of the "attempt" is because of Amazon. USPS is the only carrier I've had lie about things being delivered.
They are very personable at this PO. So much more friendly and patient than Grandview and Martin City. I really love running in here where there is usually no line. The new mail carriers are really missing it lately so that's why I didn't give this PO 5 stars. They are literally missing my packages that I request for pick up on the website. They just leave them there after they come to my door to deliver the mail. Packages have been left right there, for days in a row! And our whole neighborhood is getting each other's mail. We all miss our faithful carrier, Shirley who was practically perfect in every way.
I was hesitant to go to this post office, based on the 2.2 stars rating, BUT I'm so glad I did! Teresa is a rockstar and so helpful! She was so patient as she expertly helped me navigate the passport application process and guided me through the forms effortlessly. Even when we had to start over with new forms 4 different times! I was so impressed with her friendly, yet professional demeanor as I witnessed her kindly, yet efficiently take care of at least 10 other patrons while I stepped aside to complete my forms. Teresa deserves a raise for her pleasant way and extraordinary customer service! Thank you!!
Went in to get a money order for 80$ and 200$ more was charged to my card and put on the money order that I did not ask her to do. She told me to come back in 15mins to reverse it and I came back and another lady said that could not be done. Now I’m almost 300$ out of money I needed to pay other bills. Had to dispute the charge. Biggest waste of time management needs to tell their employees to pay attention to what they’re doing before running someone’s card. No accountability was taken, no apology. took my money order and left no one said anything about her completely not doing her job right.
I have been up to this office twice now and had no problems. The first time was to figure out an issue with the delivery of a package and today was just to make sure my package made it on the trucks to be delivered today. Both visits were during the first hour they opened so it was very quick and the ladies were very helpful in locating and giving me the status of my packages. They could have been a bit more cheerful about it, but definitely were not rude or cold. Like I said very helpful and very quick customer service is all I have experienced.
I wish i had read these reviews before i mailed my property tax. I mailed two checks from this location ( Blue Ridge & Red Bridge on December 18th and one was property tax on my rental, as of today Jan 10th, 2022 they have not recieved it . Along with the tax check i mailed a check for some fragrance which they have not recieved. I didn't want to cancel the checks in hopes that they would show up. When i contacted the p.o. i was given a missing mail web sight to go check to see if it was there. Donot mail anything important at this location.
This is not the first time I've gotten a delivery notice and had nothing delivered. I've got cameras on my house so I've gone over the video to see if someone grabbed my packages but that wasn't the case. The package just wasn't delivered. In fact, I didn't see any mail delivered on my street and it's 3:00 PM the next day and no mail truck in sight. I even went driving around to see if I could find it. Apparently, I'm not the only one because our neighborhood social media group complains endlessly about the poor service we are getting.
There has been an "animal interference" with my package for 2 days in a row now! Now I have to wait until Monday for my package! Also visited last week to mail something out and the lady working was incredibly rude I walked up to the door at 8:30 and the woman walked right past the door went outside for a smoke break and then proceeded to open the doors over 10 minutes late and gave me and the other gentleman in the building unnecessary attitude! Would reccomend just going the extra few minutes to the post office in grandview.
I was 6th in line, women ahead of me were calling out hello is anybody going to help us? 10 minutes go by, now there's more people in line and at the door, I loudly shout HELLO and way off in the distance we hear I'll be with you in a bit. When does arrive she decided it was a great time to casually visit with the customer she helped, not while helping, AFTER they finished. 3 of us walked out. I hate that place and only went there as I was passing it anyway. NEVER again.
I dropped an application for an absentee ballot in the drive thru mailbox at the Ruskin postal station on Red Bridge & Blue Ridge on September 25th 2020. No ballot received back as of today October 19th 2020. Telephoned the KC Board of Elections today & was told application was never received. Too late to request it again. I am over 65 years old & will now have to vote in person. Beware..... Something shady is going on at that station..... Do not trust Ur vote with them.
teller was really rude over the phone. I was supposed to get a package Thursday and it got delayed till Saturday and i was just calling to check where it was because i'm leaving town today and i need to take that with me and i got cut off with "I can't there is nothing i can do" well maybe it shouldn't be at your facility for three days and you tell me it's out for delivery when it's been at your store and you wont even let me pick it up.
I have notice for the last few years my mail that looks like it's real personal has been tampered with . Opened up if it has the sticky labels even torn on the ends. I thought it was odd and contacted the companies that was send the mail to me. They were unsure what had happened. Just got mail yesterday from my po box . The information that look like checks or important letters tore open. Something not right
If I could rate it with half a star I would! The employees are friendly, but customer service is non-existent. I just get the feeling that management doesn't care. Just about every time I arrive, the line is out the door, and only one clerk working. You can hear others in the back, but no one else ever comes out to help. I've asked if they can get someone else to assist, they just say no. We deserve better!
Sent a letter out to Florida 2 weeks ago and they still haven't gotten it. What the hell is going on here? Update 01/27/22: sign on the lobby doors says their new hours are Monday to Friday til 8pm. Here at 4:12 pm and their door is locked and the prepaid packages I have to ship don't fit down their mail slot so now I have to drive elsewhere. Update: this location is ALWAYS closed when it should be open!!
Would give 0 stars if possible. The rudest facility ever. Rolling eyes and having an attitude when they’re the one that DIDN’T leave a note for our certified mail and then couldn’t find where our package was claiming it was somewhere but they had to look for it and would need an entire business day to do so. Fire whoever worked here on July 6th at 4:45pm cause all they have are attitude problems.
An average of 2.7 stars is a gross exaggeration as a rating for this place. How can the Postal Service wonder why they are a failing business considering they often don’t have any stamps to sell, and the employees they hire deliver customer service as a very last priority. I guess this is what happens when you have government subsidized businesses.
Called to track a SmartPost package return. Erica that answered the phone was very helpful, explained that I did drop package off at USPS store was correct but they hold till FedEx picks up. And explained to me that package was being delivered by an outside FedEx carrier. She was VERY helpful and in no way rude.
Crappy Mailman marks my packaged delivered and it was never delivered. When I called up to see where was my package, Per Sandra the mailman had so many packages he doesn't know if he delivered my package. What kind of BS is this! The worse of the worst! They all need to be fired and start fresh up there!
Had a great experience getting my daughter and myself passport at the Hickman mills location today. The 2 ladys upfront made my experience amazing. My daughter was very energetic and the older lady entertained her and answered ridiculous toddler questions until i was done with my business. Thank you!!!
Omg, I needed 2 passport photos why they send me away talking about I need an appointment. I wish when i applied for my passport i knew i needed 2 more photos. They only gave me 1. Grr. Then she gonna say it's cheaper at Walgreens or CVS...no it's not! Cheaper or not they should have gave me service.
Horrible customer service. The employees who were working the front counter were impatient, rude towards the customers and spoke to everyone in a condescending manner. They weren’t knowledgeable about their stores policies and refused to direct me to anyone else who might have had more information.
Absolutely terrible. I regularly must take people's mail to their homes and my packages go missing. I'm currently out a preorder i ordered months ago because they can't be bothered to do it correctly. Never in all the places ive lived have I had such a terrible experience with a post office
They held a package of mine on Friday. Come to pick it up as I have to be to work at 9 and they are close despite saying they’re open on google. No one is here the lights are off. You are a post office you can’t just not be open like seriously not cool. I’d give you ZERO stars if possible!
We'll be honest with u , I didn't get my mail they losted every time and get mails to me with not my address , I convince you to not go this branch any-more and I saw every branch in south kc like this but the branches in metro kc is perfect and the best one at 75th street and troost kcmo
At times I feel the service is stellar, other times I feel a racial divide with the counter people. I just ask for help, I'm a light skin women and the other individual another color. I wish things were different in this city in general and not having to deal with dividing lines.
They don't have stamp machines or scales or anything in the lobby, which is a pain, because there's always a wait. Everyone's pretty nice though. Even the customers tend to be kind because we're all stuck there together and everyone can see it's not the workers' fault.
Delivered my package to the wrong address - let me know that was what happened, and they'd have the carrier pick it up and redeliver. Great! Except, that never happened and any attempt to contact the Post Office's Customer Service members was met with zero response.
Phone number listed on website is a dead line. Then on google they just list the 800 USPS number. Unable to contact this location without physically going there. Packages routinely late after tracking has stated it's been sitting at this location for days.
Would rate 0 stars if I could. I don’t think anyone works here. says my package has been delivered and it has not. Called 21 times over 4 hours and have still gotten no answer or help to where my package is. Absolute garage service as usual from the USPS
Waiting for my mail to be in the box. The postman sits here for 35 minutes texting on his phone inside the van!!! Talking about he is in break, which is a lie because he was just over the other side of the complex “on break” texting again!!
Worst experience of my life. The workers here were totally unprofessional and highly degrading. They should not be in this line of work and reprimanded immediately or removed from the US Postal Service. No wonder everyone hates you guys
This place is crap. THey lose stuff, and deliver it to the wrong house all the time. We have even had mail stolen before it gets to us, and had video of the person who stole it using the item. Told the manager there, they dont care.
EVERY TIME I go in the counter for service, the workers are very pleasent. Sometimes I wonder why are they so nice to everyone? But after while, I just figured they're just being decent human beings. thank for you service!
I sell on Poshmark and the post office has been extremely helpful to my business. They have all the supplies that I need. I can also go online and have them delivered. Great customer service. Also plenty of P.O. BOXES
Teresa is horrible she needs to be removed does not know how to deal with or speak to the public does not obey a post office rules or policies also another young lady there was even worse could not get her name
After receiving such poor service in Grandview this post office was an oasis of good service. Thank you for letting me drop off my prepaid packages without having to wait in line. And the staff was friendly.
There is no five day delivery . Last week he delivered on Sunday. Went to the station was told they deliver five days a week . This is not true , employee at station was nice, but this station is the worst.
Rodney was working the counter for an appointment I had. They were able to get me in and out quicker than I thought and made a process I thought would be painful very simple and easy. Thank you Rodney!
How hard is it to read an address? I regularly have strangers delivering my mail to me, and I regularly have to take mail to other houses. Absolutely useless mail carriers and no one seems to care.
Every package I get, they leave it NEXT to the mailbox in the GD street. Twice now I've seen that lazy tvvat just throw it on the ground and twice someone stole my package. Lazy p.o.s. carrier.
I always have a wonderful experience here. Teresa and Willea are always quick and helpful. The managers that help at the front desk from time to time are always pleasant and helpful as well.
We had a pleasant experience at this post office. It was quick and easy to get our sons passport application submitted at this post office. The staff were very friendly. Teresa was amazing!
Haven't received mail in weeks been waiting on important mail. Get the staff together this is sad and unprofessional. The last time I seen a mailman was on a Sunday. We gots to do better.
I don't receive my mail anymore because a car parked in front of the mailbox so we have to track down the guy to get our mail I've also called up there and they are very rude
It was HORRIBLE the lady that answered the phone to help me track a package. Told me it was not her job to do that and hung up on me. They need customer service REINFORCED!
Theres a man with a beard that is so rude and arrogamt he should be fired him and another female who was not Teresa started jumping at me and arguing with me on a 2 vs 1
Mail never delivered on time.. informed delivery is a joke.. carrier comes when they want to.. sometimes after 800 at night elderly cant handle business at that time..
It's ok they usually get the mail out quickly or at least for me ...but not all the time..they have their downtime moving slow a lil sometimes but it's good
Made an appointment for a child passport application. Arrived early and they got us all set within 12 minutes. Easy and painless. My post office of choice!
Worst PO in kc rude to customers, lazy delivers who try to find any excuse not to do there job and they have lost or stolen multiple packages of mine.
Hickman Mills postal location. The supervisor, Steven is very rude and doesn't have answers to any questions. Not sure how he became a supervisor.
Keep finding my mail on the ground instead of in the mailbox. And all of the scanned mail that shows in my email account isn't always there.
I had issues with missing mail twice now and the staff has been super diligent in trying and succeeding to locate my packages! Great job
4 years of complaining and sharing concerns about missing mail By approaching supervisors and assistance Supervisors...they dont care
I have grown up in this area....still here 30 years later. Neighborhood is not great but it will turn around. This is a great place.
These people are very rude & unprofessional I would not recommend using this post office for any of your needs!
Not good at delivering the mail daily. Mail sent to wrong address. Long lines when going into the post office.
Friendly, helpful staff. They actually want to save you money on shipping things and do a good job of it too!
I would rate this zero stars if I could. They don’t deliver your package!! Don’t waste your time with USPS!
The staff is not friendly, sometime outright rude. I utilize FedEx on Hickman Hills Drive when possible.
There are 3 customers but only one employee. I've been waiting for half an hour to send a document.
50/50 chance your package won’t be delivered. I’d choose a different carrier if you have an option.
Zero customer service. Packages arrived at location and given to customer without being scanned.
Always a nice experience. The postal clerks are always very helpful and as fast as possible.
These workers need re-training. Smh sad how they act. Knowing! There on Camera.
I gave three stars because sometimes I receive my mail a day or two late.
I wish they would stop sending me bills!! #SomeNerve #GetBetter
Waiting on my mail from Saturday still haven’t received
Canceled our appointment without giving a reason.
Google maps is wrong. Head south off blue ridge
The employees are always helpful with a smile
They dont PICK UP mail, from the mail box.
The disrespect that they gave me
Lazy, unprofessional, arrogant
Quick professional help
