these workers are getting a lot of hate here, but I notice a lot of the issues are people taking out their aggression, customer error or exaggerating situations. this post office does need improvement but been dealing with this branch for over a decade and Parkchester post office is simply the worst post office I dealt with, this one isn't half that one in terms of toxicity . Many times it's the customer being abusive or taking out their frustration on tellers that have no control over how the post office works. quick tip, the Staples store down the street also takes USPS packages if you can't wait. And you aren't suppose to send packages with other companies and labels on it (it confuses the machines they use to sort packages I actually asked why) and the reason they lock the door 15 minutes before closing sometimes is because the post office is filled with customers and apparently the postal company doesn't want to pay for their overtime it's hours are posted, get there early if you can. Trust me at times they annoy me too, sometimes there is a nasty attitude but most times they are okay. I would give it 3.5 stars but with soo many people only commenting to bash them, I bumped up the score.
On July 6th and at about 2:50 PM today, I was in the post office located at 2100 White Plains RD, Bronx, NY , 10462. A female employee was treating customers unprofessionally, without respect and she was even yelling at the customers. This employee who refused to give her name and she claimed she is the one who is in charge and she does not care about any complaint made against her, refused to help a customer because the customer did not like the way she was addressing him. To add insult to injury, she kept on yelling at him and then she left her post, came out, stopped working, made so many customers waiting, challenged the customer face to face with and told him she will not provide any services for him as if the post office were her own business or private residence and asked him to leave. The customer called the police because he was not happy with the way she was addressing him. Then, she stopped working and called the police leaving all the customers so upset with her lack of care, unprofessional service and horrible attitude. The customer was not served and ended up leaving because he was afraid she would destroy his mail.
Heads-up there's a crazy postal worker. She likely posted that long review about Covid.Her name is Caldwell. She locks people in bc she's too lazy to go back and forth to open doors during closing time. She closes the doors 15 minutes ahead. She's a nasty, nasty person. When u ask her a question, she will not answer unless you wait on the 45 minute line to ask the QUEEN a question. She picks and chooses who should wear a mask to grace her presence. She's behind a 5inch thick glass, with a mask, and tells customers to go to the next window if they have no mask. I'm filing a complaint for being held against my will. She locked at least 8 of us in PO until she felt ready to open door. This is insanity!! I have it all on video. Hire workers like the ones that are still there. I can tell they were very uncomfortable with her gestapo tactics, but fear reprisal. She should not be working with customer service. Hire people that want to work, not a lazy, person that thinks we're in grade school with that stupid bell. 30 years I've patronized this PO. Never again!!
I had the same terrible experience as the previous post. This post office will not except any packages that are pre paid and pre labeled online using their own "Click & Ship" tools. I own my own business and have mailed hundreds of these packages that I pre paid and printed the labels the night before. But this is the only location that will not accept them. They flat out rejected my packages because the labels were printed last night even though the "ship date" on the tracking number is for today. They are wrong! They are very stubborn and don't offer any other solution. They don't care at all the inconvenience they are causing. They seem to have made up their own rules and will not budge. I took the same packages to a different location and they gladly accepted them without problem.
I’m so disgusted how the workers treat us .. the Spanish blond lady w/ glasses..had a nasty attitude.. I heard from others customers bout her.. why work in a place where u not happy.. I HOPE THEY Start TREATING US CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT!! I came with a T-Mobile package with their label and she didn’t want to scan it bcus it was heavy weight huh Is a prepaid label .. I walk to another post office and they took it .. the workers in whilliambridge were so nice and I had no problem taking the box ! I hope whoever is the boss of this building in 2100 white plains rd Bx ,talk to their workers bout how to treat the customers! If you not a people person then get another another job !!!
Went there on 3/18/21 at 1:10 pm while it was raining. Got there and notice one person only working, 4 people in front of me but people going to the front of the line since they were on the line previously. I just needed to get a receipt for a package I was sending out which was already paid for. There is no drop box for packages there. Was hot while waiting about 45 minutes. The worker was polite but felt bad she was alone and the line was out the door. Should put in a self service machine and a box for packages will help. I seen them in many post offices and they help if they are working. Wasting our time I work from home and business hours only 8 to 4 pm.
Apparently they weren't going to accept a package I was shipping because I needed a plain cardboard box? I do not understand exactly what the lady was saying because she was talking in a low voice. But she scanned it anyways so I have no idea why this post office has a specific rule about it? Never heard that before. I'm able to ship whatever it is in other post offices much closer to me. Maybe get better staff that knows what they're doing instead of ones that will reject pre-paid priority mail. Not my problem if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed before going to work. ️️
There was a woman here that had a real nasty attitude. I haven't seen her in a while. But I know exactly who they are referring to in the other reviews. The remaining workers are ok but my issue with this location is service is sooo slow. There's never more than 2 people working at a time and there's no self service or drop box like at other locations. Usually I print my labels at home and hope to be in and out but can be waiting in line for 30 minutes just to drop off a package.
I remember one time I went to ship a package to the front desk. The lady was around her 40s, black American. I gave my box to her and all of a sudden she had such a disgusting attitude. I don’t know if she didn’t get to eat, someone slapped her, but I wasn’t with the attitude. So I snatched a paper from her hands that she wanted me to sign with a went about my day. Don’t recommend going here unless ofc u live around the block and too lazy to travel :)
Worst Post office experience ever.Monday 9am,line sig sagging to the door. One window open with the worst customer service and attitudes, after 65minute wait how dare we be angry. Other co-workers there and no help or assistance. No self service kiosks or stamp machine. Then they wonder why business is going to the competition. The least they could have done was speak to the 40 people on line to calm the anger, even a bull---- excuse.
I printed out a label on ebay two days ago I brought the package to this location the rude woman with the bun asked me if I was aware that they cant accept packages unless it has todays date I have been selling for years on ebay ebay gives you three days to send the items out I never had this problem before I went to staples and was given kind service I will be going to staples for now on thanks for nothing usps
Nothing, I like nothing about this post office. They close earlier than most post offices. They do not even have a passport window. They don't do passports at all. And it's really small. They also have no more than two people working there, no matter how long the line gets they will never open up more than two windows, sometimes just one and some of the workers are rude. I hate coming here to get anything done.
Today is Tuesday, 1/19/21 and the post office is still closed. It’s 8:13am and we’re just standing on line waiting. The staff is rude and customer service sucks! I’ve been to post offices in Borough Hall (Brooklyn) and East 70th (Manhattan) and the service is 100% better all around. It is now 9:04am and the post office remains closed. No sign or anything. The website states their open.
Workers at this location are so rude. I was asking one of them a question and she was ignoring me. Until a man came up and started arguing with her for being so rude to me. Then she changed her attitude and pretended to do a better job. I dont understand why they have to be so rude. Its not like they are working so hard. They barely do anything.
I went today 08/21/18 in the morning to the post office and I received the worst customer service of my life, they was very uncomfortable and rude with me. They not ready to be working in the front with the clients because they don’t give good services and they so unpopularity. No all the person has quality to be working with the customer
There's a postal worker there that locks people inside the facility, and holds them against their will. The police was called once.. She locks the doors early, and does not let people out until the full line is finished. I rush in and out. I don't need to be locked in waiting for this crazy person to let me out holding me hostage.
Horrible post office experience. The USPS employee who works here by name of Renee is by far, the most miserable, unfriendly postal face I have EVER encountered. She is one of the reasons the postal service is losing customers and revenue. Great job Renee . Keep looking forward towards that pension you don't deserve.
This location is pretty small and always busy. I suggest going the first hour it opens during the week if you want fast service. The attendants are fast paced, sometimes offer conflicting info and may not be the sweetest BUT during COVID, their job is super valuable. Try and cut them some slack.
Poor service left with me with a bad aftertaste. Teller was on their phone the whole time….and left me hanging to talk on the phone in the back. There seems to be a bigger problem going on with management that’s trickling down to the whole operation. TLDR Wouldn’t recommend due to poor service.
I never leave reviews but this had to be said. Im not to sure her name but she’s a HEAVY set African American lady with glasses who is the absolute worst. If this place is your last option, by all means avoid going to her. The most disrespectful lady I ever encountered going to post office.
The black light skin lady here is very rude with an attitude she looks like WNBA Brittney Griner with a hair relaxer . She doesn't even try to help always rolling her eyes . Clearly she's miserable and hates her life . Her supervisor needs to fire her !!
Terrible service nasty attitudes from the girls that work there They should be fired for misrepresented the US Government at its worst Mental health seems to be a big issue and will eventually prove to be a personal liability for the us government
A women very unprofessional didn’t let me mail a perfume she was like I can’t ship it because the label says first class but I can’t change the label, it’s from an app. I always ship first class perfumes and they never say nothing only her.
I have never seen such bad customer service. A young guy at the window was so rude and the coworkers were mocking me. I have worked in the customer service dept for 20 years and never seen someone so rude. He wouldn't give me his name.
I went there cause I wanted to get some info and prices to send a box I had already prepared to South America, and all I got from the post office worker was: "check it on the internet, I can't give you information". Terrible service.

The lady was extra rude last Saturday. She shouldn't have any opportunities to work as customer service representative especially of UPS. It's 8:10am, still closed. Punctuality is their strongest side.
I still remember the time that the lady at that window treat me like I am a trash. I talked to me in the way that she is my dictator. I hate thia place. Espacially seeing people like her.
This location has alot of customers every day. They need to have more employees available because the waiting sometimes is alot. Overall is a good location to send your packages.

They don’t know how to handle an international mail. They gave me an envelope is only for U.S, and said “Everything’s out there” Yes, everything’s out of the post office.
If you have time to waste, go to this post office. The lines are terrible and they are understaffed. Plus the staff that is there, move with no urgency at all!
