I visit this post office location every Saturday to send out my business' certified mail from the previous week. It normally ranges between 6-15 letter size envelopes. I chose this location because it's close to home and the staff are always pleasant and professional. However, the last two visits (including today) I was assisted by Kelly and did not receive the same high quality customer service that I was used to. I had 13 certified letters that needed to be processed. I did not require the return receipt option and had all the receipt cards completed and affixed to each envelope. In a failed effort to maintain efficiency, she moved so fast that it caused her to spend more times on correcting her mistakes than processing the letters. But, what made it worse was the fact she told me she had to suspend my transaction to wait on other customers as they came in instead of completing my transaction. Each time a customer came in, she suspended my transaction, told me to move to the side and waited on them and completed their transaction entirely and returned to mine. She did this four times. After the 4th customer, she attempted to wait on the customer after and I stopped her and told her that I would like her to finish my transaction and I did not think it was fair to keep putting me off. These customers were not just dropping off items. They were sending packages and letters just like me that required her to ring them up, ask questions, tender money and receipts. Why was their transaction more important than mine? I have never experienced this type of treatment from the other ladies who work here and their service always exceed my expectations. In the future, I hope this won't happen again as I question whether this a policy the post office maintains. If it does, I plan to report it to the Postmaster and find another location that will conduct the business more reasonably.
Rarely do i leave a review, but after several terrible experiences here, I must. Of all my experiences the following is by far the worst. I showed up at 445 to mail a very important package. The line was backed up which it usually is. I waited in line for 15 minutes as the clerk moved slowly and was talking far too much when there is a line out the door. At 458, the clerk stopped and said she would only take two more customers because she was closing and wanted to go home. Everyone that had been inside well before 5 was turned away after waiting in line for God knows how long and she let us stand there knowing we wouldnt be helped. Absolutely horrid customer service. Now i go to the UPS store down the street. Costs a bit more but the clerks are friendly and there is never a line.

Around 20 minutes beforehand she told two people behind me she would get through all of us, and would take lunch at 1:45. At 1:35 she promptly said never mind, come back in 45 minutes. I would have left much earlier if she had given me heads up. She was rude to everyone and only could say that if there were complaints we could call. She had poor customer service skills and was entirely SLOW! I witnessed her walking away from customers to put lotion on her hands, etc. I will not be utilizing this station, and will go out of my way to not utilize USPS as much as possible in the future.
Wow! I have never been in the post office for more than 10 mins. (In and out). I needed to get a P. O Box for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service I received from Kelly! She was very Polite, clear, and welcoming to me and my girlfriend. She treated us with a kind smile and helpful words. Her and her coworker Yvonne were working together in harmony despite it being a little busy. Yvonne took on all of the costumers that were in line while we were talking with Kelly. She was also very nice and efficient. I am actually looking forward to talking to them again soon when I come to check my mail. Thank you to the both of them for their service!

I've tried calling to complain, but it's a never ending recorded loop, enduring you never talk to a real person. I don't live in the best part of the neighborhood, there are porch lofts about every day, so now I'm an easy target since it looks like the mail is piling up because the post never gets out in the box! Epic FAIL.
Lazy..... Work for the government just want to get paid to do nothing. Big surprise Carriers from here drive by your house and mark packages as attempted delivery and no access to location. I live right off the main street. First house you see coming in and last one coming out. Yet, mail carriers can't seem to see the house like its invisible. I have made street numbers clear. There is nothing obstructing views to the numbers. I cant understand why is so hard to see my house. I am right ny the street. Only thing I can guess is lazy...
I got to this post office at about 4:50, super flustered picking the first box I could find, which was way too big but I didn’t care. I get up to the counter and the lady was like you don’t need to be spending this much on shipping and gave me a padded envelope that fit everything I was shipping. Not only did she save me money, she went out of her way to help me when it was about closing time. She even said she was the only one working that day, and she took time to help me. Thank you and save USPS.
I am a very nervous person when I’m not sure what I am doing but the ladies here made me so comfortable! Not only did they go above and beyond to help me with my entire shipment but they were patient and kind when I almost covered the shipping barcode. To top the entire experience off a very sweet woman that was checking her mail gifted me with the items pictured! I will be back and with much less anxiety! Thank you for the outstanding service!
Wonderful experience on a Saturday in December. 4 stars as only one woman was working the desk. She knew what she was doing though and had people moving through the line relatively fast. She also was very pleasant, even when I forgot the apartment number on one of my packages and needed to look it up on my phone. Prices are outrageous, but that is just the times, and would be similar at UPS/FedEX.
The lady working was the ONLY one there after a holiday (labor day) and was so nice and speedy. She had short curly hair but I didn’t get her name. There were a ton of people in line and she did such a great job and handled everything quickly and kept a positive attitude. Only negative thing to say is I’m not sure how she could get a break with all those people and no one else working with her.
Everyone that works here is extremely friendly, respectful and helpful. There is rarely a line and when there is, you can tell they’re doing their best to get everyone helped in an efficient manner. Never had an issue here, other than the hours posted online not matching up with the actual hours, but that seems like an issue unrelated to the service and people who work here.
Yvonne was an absolute pleasure! I cannot speak highly enough on her attitude, work ethic and personality. She is one of a kind! I had had a bad experience with the clerk about a week ago who shipped something unshippable costing me more money and time than I had..Yvonne was so apologetic and corrected everything flawless. Walked in at 4:58, and was rudely and repetitively informed they are “closed” even though she had other people in line, the door was unlocked, and they are open until 5. Doesn’t sound very closed to me. Someone should teach this lady some customer service because she has none. No wonder this place has a 2.2 rating.
Ratchet a** post office is ratchet. They no longer provide pens. Yes, pens. She literally had one in her hand i asked to use and she refused to hand it to me. They don’t play lol I had to walk out to buy a motherf***ing pack of pens at Harris Teeter just to write the address on my nephews birthday card. Send pens.
Today, I found the service person behind the counter very helpful and cooperative as I was preparing my papers to be mailed. She told me what was necessary and what wasn't, both very helpful. I expected to spend more time there sorting things out, but because of her unsolicited help, I was out in a few minutes.
I think they are definitely trying. I was in line for about 15 minutes, but that just depends upon the time of day. They were surprisingly helpful and kind and even gave me a spare box to help me save on the cost of shipping. I pick this one over any others I've been to in Charlotte so far.
I really had a great experience here. I am starting to mail more and more as I sell stuff. The staff was very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. It could be because I try to stay extremely respectful and show a lot of grace for working people. Who knows. Definitely would recommend.
Horrible. Arrived at 9:15am on 3/29/23 and they were closed. 45 minutes after they were supposed to open. Tried again at 4:30pm and was told that their systems were down so they couldn't mail anything out. Save your time and go to another location or to UPS/Fedex.
I go out of my way to come to this location because of Yvonne! She is the kindest, most patient clerk I’ve ever interacted with. She has an answer to every question, and always knows exactly what I need to do even when I don’t! USPS, give this woman a raise!!
They "close" before closing consistently. I rarely got my mail-- I had people to resent stuff to my house because my PO Box's mail was always returned to the sender or lose. Get there early to purchase but don't depend on them for receiving mail.
Wonderful customer service and friendly helpful staff. People who leave bad reviews on this type of service have never dealt with the public. These people do a great job and deserve better treatment by each person they serve, do better people.
There's definitely something going on with Postal employees. They are so rude and nasty for no reason. This location has a couple of nasty employees but there's one that goes above and beyond to help but she's outnumbered by the nasty ones.

I went to this location to mail some certified letters for my company. Kelly was friendly and professional. The construction on the building is inconvenient but that has nothing to do with the staff handling my transaction

Although the line was out the door (only 5 people are allowed in the lobby at one time due to covid), the staff was friendly and efficient. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes during the lunch rush.
What in the world would you not have a place where someone can drop a letter off outside? No blue box no mail slot? That makes absolutely no sense and it's completely inconvenient for the public.

This used to be one of the worst post offices in Charlotte but is really good now. All of the staff is efficient and work quickly.
For years this location has distinguished itself with consistently poor service, and there is no apparent desire to improve.
