"The worst mailing experience I have ever had in my life!! Not only is this location at fault but USPS as a whole is very unprofessional and uneducated to their own policies! I mailed something from this location to China, I was returning a Halloween costume that didn’t fit, and it had guaranteed delivery for October 11th with a guaranteed refund"
"A++++ ladies!! These ladies are given a hard time for doing their job! I cannot tell you the amount of impatient people at this location they have to deal with?! It is impossible to please a lot of the people but not all!! The Supervisor is superb! She looks out for us by making people follow the COVID rules, staying in place and the people get upset for little or nothing? Ridiculous!! Some of the customers are like grown kids?? Some come in upset and take it out in these ladies"
"As much as I enjoyed using USPS for shipping (50+ packages / week), I think it's time to set up a business account with FedEx or UPS"
"Wow! I just read a bunch of bad reviews here"
"This seems to be a lot of misunderstanding and negative reviews about this post office but from my experience I've had zero issues so what if it's understaffed or closes early I can work around any inconveniences these ladies do all they can do to help and I can empathize what their day is like"
The worst mailing experience I have ever had in my life!! Not only is this location at fault but USPS as a whole is very unprofessional and uneducated to their own policies! I mailed something from this location to China, I was returning a Halloween costume that didn’t fit, and it had guaranteed delivery for October 11th with a guaranteed refund. It didn’t make it there on time and didn’t even leave the United States until October 18th. All I want is my money back which is guaranteed on my receipt and no one seems to know what to do. I went back to this location to get my money back and the manger wasn’t there at the time so the woman working there said they couldn’t process a refund and told me I could either come back the next day or go to the South Blvd location. So I decided to go to that location and they couldn’t give me my money back and gave me a number to call instead. I go home and call the number and end up having to file an international claim. I asked the woman on the phone if I could just get my shipping money back and her response was “we have to make sure the other country isn’t at fault.” How can China be at fault when it didn’t even leave the US until a WEEK after the guaranteed delivery date? I paid $68.65 to send it back and the merchandise I sent back costs $219 and hasn’t even made it! This is ridiculous and all I want in my money back. Thanks USPS for not even giving me what I’m GUARANTEED! I will never do business with you again. UPDATE 11-23-17: After I wrote this review Sherry from the post office called me and asked me to fax my receipt showing that I have a guaranteed refund because it doesn’t show in their system that I do. So on November 13th I faxed my receipt to them and since then I have not heard back nor received my refund. WHERE IS MY MONEY It sickens me that they treat their customers like this. You all do realize that I have other options right?? I will be using UPS or Fedex from now on! I’ve had enough!!!
A++++ ladies!! Some come in upset and take it out in these ladies. Come on people give them a freakin break! The regular ladies there do all they can with impatient customers and still hold a smile. The substitutes ladies that are sent to help them are not as friendly or even try enforcing the postal policies and distance rules that frustrates folks. There is some concern about packages not getting delivered when they are picked up from this location. What happens to packages after they leave this office by carriers is public concern with those carriers? This should be heavily looked into for the people. Not the fault of the clerks but the 2nd phase carriers that are questioned?
As much as I enjoyed using USPS for shipping (50+ packages / week), I think it's time to set up a business account with FedEx or UPS. I've never been spoken to in such a rude manor in my life. Granted I've always just thought it was certain employee I dealt with but no, it's all of them. They are absolutely terrible and I feel no sympathy for them if they were to lose their jobs. It's finally becoming apparent now why USPS is failing year after year. I've been to other offices in Charlotte and they all hate their job as much as the employees at this location. Thankfully there are many other alternatives this day and age and I will be using them from here on out even if it is just a few dollars more per shipment. Avoid this place if you want to be treated like a valued customer. Other shipping companies will gladly treat you like a valued customer and take care if you in a professional and courteous manner.
Wow! I just read a bunch of bad reviews here. Feels like they are talking about a different place than the 1 I visit. I have been using this office for 4 years and have a POB there. Lines can get long at times, but I've not known them not to move pretty steadily... every time. Other than the tall gentleman, the folks working there are not necessarily rays of sunshine but they are POLITE and EFFICIENT. I find no need for more. Folks have commented about Fedex & UPS. I've received terrible svc at the S.Park & Uptown locations, but also excellent svc at both. My point is, there's no guarantee of better shipping svcs elsewhere, esp. when the prices are far higher. Let's try living w/o the USPS. After 1 week, we'd be begging them back. Nowhere else in the world are mail handling services as efficient & reasonably priced. I champion the USPS even with it's challenges.
This seems to be a lot of misunderstanding and negative reviews about this post office but from my experience I've had zero issues so what if it's understaffed or closes early I can work around any inconveniences these ladies do all they can do to help and I can empathize what their day is like. Between Sedgefield and Myers Park I'm sure there's a lot of entitled narcissists that come here and get offended over any little thing the fearless leader in glasses says or does she's just doing her job and I don't even take it personal. And unlike Wilkinson Blvd who's clerk had two of my media mail packages sent back to me on purpose The Park Rd Chipettes respect my movie business and helps me out with how the post office system works and any jams I encounter. But based on some of these frivolous reviews you can't please everyone.
Besides having to wait in an extremely long line. One of the employees was completely rude and bullying customers. She wore glasses. The other two women were very polite, thank you ! The rude employee was horrible and she charged me $10.90 for insurance that I did not ask for. She got mad and yelled at me when I asked her what was the estimated time of my package arrival. Shouting at customers to stay on the blue circle when all the adults were doing just fine etc.... I didn't realize until I got to my car she over charged me and I surely wasn't going back to get abused and stand in that line. That must be one miserable person and I feel bad that someone must be in that much pain :( Sending her love. If anyone goes be ready :)
I've been coming here only when I'm desperate, for a year. It's the only post office in the South Park area. This is the most under-staffed post office, with the longest lines ever! Not just Christmas week, but ALWAYS! Since I mentioned Christmas week... How in the world can you have 1 postal staff member working the window on a Monday, during the 12 pm lunch hour - Christmas week? One worker in particular, that others have complained about, is a short, African American girl, with glasses, and dreads. She yells at customers about standing on the blue squares on the floor, not blocked the 2-way door, and social distancing the line. She is so rude! The rest of the staff is pretty nice.
Horrible service always. No one looks or acts like they want to be at work. Girl that sits all the way to the left is disrespectful. The issue I had was not with her but made it about her by asking me with an attitude if I had a problem.l when I went back to the line. When I questioned it and said no. Then asked the other lady to take me before she started to escalate more . The girl who left early, ignored me when I asked her for her attention. Honestly this is the closest to my home. But they need to learn decorum. It’s sad. I hate coming here. Just ghetto and unprofessional. Do your job with a smile and that’s it.
Just went to drop a package off. Arrived at the door at 4:53. Package was already labeled and postage paid. Had the door closed in my face even after explaining that I simply needed to drop off. Package drop off box outside is non operational. I wish I could say that this is the first (or worst) experience I've ever had at this location, but living nearby it for 8 years, it's one in a laundry list of issues. Excessively rude staff that live to do the absolute bare minimum at all times. I get that you hate your job, but if your response to hating your job is to inconvenience a stranger, you shouldn't have a job.
It is hard to not fall in love with the Park Road shopping center or just how uniquely it’s laid out and all the things to do. This post office is kind of out of place here to beHonest and I really do think that it could be profitable for it to move to a different location. I can also see that it is suffering from very bad reviews. Either way if you go to the post office and it’s hard to feel bad about your day when you walk out and you were in that Park Road shopping Center.
Staff were nice enough, but the place was a straight up dump....there were piles of discarded mail strewn about the floor - enough to look like a seedy 1980's NYC OTB parlor. I was in there for 5 minutes and three separate people commented to the staff about how the place was a mess and all they said was "Well, I guess people are having trouble finding the recycle bins" - really USPS? Have a little self respect and clean that place up.....you're embarrassing yourself.
As a regular customer of this post office (at least once weekly, usually more) I have seen it all kinds of busy and the ladies are always helpful. It’s nice to know that when you walk in even if there is a line the workers are always doing their best to quickly work thru the customers - while also being able to maintain great service. In my experience I always receive what I believe is quality customer service and that is what keeps me visiting the same location!
It’s a post office, and at the end of the day they all are going to have a wait and most likely the people who work their hate their jobs. They work in a small shoe box after all so some may not be the most cheerful. I come here almost every week now to send back packages from online shopping or do mail orders for my blog. I find the staff to be helpful when they can be. They speed up the process and they try to get you in and out as soon as they can.
Terrible customer service, I walked in the door a couple of minutes before close to mail out a couple of DVD's and they had already closed down the desk for the day, had to resort to using the kiosk machine and ended up having a package stolen. Not saying it was stolen from this facility however it was coincidental that it only happened when mailing from this location. I mail out packages daily and have only had issues when mailing from this location.
The people here are always very helpful. Who every is rating it low is a spoiled person with no patience. Sure the line is long but it’s SP area. Things will be that way. Proper planning and patience takes away that frustration??? The ladies are always nice and courteous and adhering to COVID laws and federal laws. Most ppl have NO problem with this place. People please develop more patience for these girls. They are doing a good job!! Gosh?!
They've lost my bank card in the mail twice now. They said they'd make a note for the mail carrier. What does that even mean? They didn't even have my full information. I imagine someone is driving around with a mail truck full of post-its with the first names of the people who have called in and berated them. I would really do everything you can to ship something important by UPS. The people employed here aren't very useful at all.
I was completely caught off guard to be greeted with such enthusiastic courtesy at the Park Road Post Office. I was bracing for the typical apathy that I'm usually met with. Before people even approached the counter, the ladies that were working (Janee and another woman) didn't hesitate to ask customers if they needed help. They were cheerful and very efficient. I wish this was my experience at every location!!
Line is always long during the afternoons. Went in during off peak hours when there were no lines and postal workers continued their conversations while I was standing right in front of them waiting to be taken care of. They also lost my paperwork for my PO box and had to return twice to submit the same form. Even after that I was still receiving emails that the form wasn't turned in.
There's always a long line. There will be 4 employees visible with only one waiting on people. I often have to deal with a rude person, though not all of them are rude. I've seen a counter employee with a long line waiting just put up her sign that she is not available and leave. They mostly have surly attitudes and the customer service is awful.
The rudest clerk I've experienced to date, short tempered, controlling, non caring, talking down to the customer in front of me for not knowing how a battery is made. Also told a whole line to step back because someone without a mask was not standing on a blue spot, and would not do service until the rest of the line stepped back. Ridiculous.
The United States Postal Service is an amazing part of our country. I can send a letter anywhere in the country for less that a dollar. The stamps are beautiful and the shipping is great. However, this particular location is dirty, understaffed, and rude. Expect long lines and then if you have a question, to get no explanation from the staff.
I got my wrist slapped again at this post office. I didn't wait for me to be called forward and she made everyone know that you need to wait to be called before coming to the counter in the rudest possible way. Always feel like I’m back at school and being called out for misbehaving here. This is the last time I’ll be going to this location.
Mon Aug 25 - Witnessed an older black lady with her hair in a bun and name tag labeled "Trainee" yell at an elderly man when he didn't understand something she was saying. For no reason is it appropriate to yell at customers, especially elderly ones. My heart hurt for this man and I will definitely be filing a complaint with management.
I recommend going to Cannon Pharmacy USPS on South Blvd, right next to Auto Bell! Wonderfully friendly, welcoming professionals without the huge wait and rude staff at Park Road USPS. I vowed to NEVER return to Park Road and thanks to Cannon Pharmacy i haven't had to! Thank you to the Professional Staff at Cannon USPS & Pharmacy!
This is the only post office I will go to in Charlotte. Most of the workers are friendly and try to make conversation. I mail out packages weekly and I have never had an issue with this location. It is very small and occasionally the line can get very long. The location is great — surrounded by lots of shops and food!
Pretty shocked by the awful customer service experience I just had on the phone with an extremely unkind employee here. She was blatantly rude to me and lied to me, telling me she'd given me a phone number when she had not. I understand that this is a busy time of year, but I'm still shocked.
This is place only gets one star for the one man that works at the desk counter. He is so nice and always so helpful. The women who work here all are nasty and have horrible attitudes. I was once placed on hold for 11 minutes and had to hang up and call back to get my question answered.
Probably the most dysfunctional post office I’ve ever seen. All of the drop boxes inside are sealed up, so you have to drop your packages at the counter, which regularly opens 30+ minutes late (if they decide to open at all). Don’t waste your time and just go to another location.
Needed to ask a question about our home delivery on the phone number listed for our zip code.. Waited many dial tones to hear a message to insert a 'code'....and when I didn't the phone disconnected. Not a great service, but also not that I expected great service!
This post office sucks. Government employees are essentially worthless. 30% of the staff just left and the line is out the door. They might as well plan on waiting more than an hour to get to a window for assistance. Unions, Trump will take care of this!
Had 4 packages to mail. No wait. Processed by a kind employee that even told jokes and made my son laugh. I was in and out in minutes. This location doesn’t deserve the poor reviews. And the location has a self service machine when the lines are long.
If I could give this post office NEGATIVE stars I would..... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do not use this location! I can not tell you how many times they have completely JACKED UP my mail. Every single one of these people should be fired for negligence....
Never encountered such a rude experience until today at this post office. The women at the front are as rude as they possibly could be to the customers. I watched the person in front of me thank the lady that was helping him four times, and
By far the most disrespectful employees I’ve encountered in my life trying to send a package. They treated some non English speaking folks in line in front of me like they were stupid. They also were yelling at an older woman, because the
Although this post office is woefully understaffed, the people are quite efficient and helpful. I had mistakenly sent a package to my old box that had been closed but Kay was able to intercept it for me. Thank you for a great experience!
Package drop box is almost always locked. What's the point of a drop box if you can't use it. And the employees snap at you if you step a toe over a line on the floor. Would not have to be in the line if you unlocked the drop box.
Very understaffed. Staff is not friendly. The gift card kiosk is located in a bad place. It is 2:30 and one person working during a holiday with about 20 people on line. Need at least 3 people working especially this time of year.
Waiting in line for 15 minutes and paying $30 to get my package to Wilmington overnight was more convenient than driving it there myself. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful. I’ll be back 100%!
Always helpful and courteous ladies. Management is horrendously evil. She returned my paid box mail two weeks earlier, I missed major checks and cards updating my address. I notified postmaster and no reply.
The employees roam around acting as if they are annoyed they actually have customers. I've been in Charlotte less than 10 years and have only had to go to this location probably 5 times, thankfully!
This Post Office is being short-changed and therefore gets a bad rap. There simply are not enough staff to serve the number of customers they have. Complaints should be forwarded to the Postmaster.
They don't have enough people here, they cut their hours, and if you come in 20 minutes or sooner before they close, they get upset at you. Those folks they do have are typical bureaucrats...
The lady that helped me was rude and unpleasant. Was told I couldn't get a receipt for my package due to it not being today's date and I printed the label after they had closed yesterday.....
I have a new job that takes me into the USPS in Park Road Shopping Center at least once a week. Everyone I have encountered has been friendly, helpful, efficient, cheerful and helpful.
The post office gets a bad rap. The employees in this store care about their jobs and helping customers fulfill the mission of their trip. I would go back to this location anytime.
Mailed a letter from this PO (two stamps just to be safe). My letter was mailed to my address instead of the intended recipient. Nothing wrong with my envelope, the addresses etc.
The postage calculator says "more than 1/4 inch variation in thickness," not "more than 1/4' inch thick," you incompetent idiot. No wonder the USPS has such a horrible reputation!
Convention location, I can seem to time it just right before the rush. They seem a little short handed at times but not really their fault I'm sure. Everyone is fairly helpful.
Hours on google are wrong. They aren’t open until at least after 9:30. Well maybe even later. It’s 9:37 and still not open. Just one person locked in there sitting around.
Been here twice the past several Saturday mornings and there is hardly a line. If there is it moves quickly. The staff are cheerful and helpful. Thank you!!
The ladies at this location are awesome! They are as efficient as they are kind. I have had a pleasant experience every time I have come here.
I have requested both in person and online to have my mail forwarded to my new address and have not received ANY MAIL in several weeks!!!!!!!
Long lines, employees aren't friendly or very helpful, and they're usually out of the flat rate size that you need. Avoid if possible!
Has a meter at the front and 2 slots for mail. When going into the mail expect a wait and not a ton of smiles but the job gets done.
My experience here really made me wish they did away with USPS. I don’t understand how they can be this dysfunctional.
Wow... fantastic service and convenient location ... I wish there were more locations like this one ... blown away
2 stars because I still believe in the USPS but the two muppets working behind the counter are rude AF.
I printed a label to mail something and dropped it off here and they "lost" it. It was never recovered.
It’s so gross in there, there’s rude signs everywhere you look and Neenee has a horrible attitude.
Very rude staff every time I go to this post office the staff are very rude and disrespectful.
One person working at desk. Lots of people walking around . Five windows only one open. Crazy
They get the job done and they do it as quick as they reasonably can, what more do you need
Slow and not particularly helpful. The self service kiosk is broken as well.
Very poor Service , Don't go there for refund !! Online Refund is easy
Worst shipping experience I have ever had. UPS or Fedex from now on.
The man that works there is just horrible, complete trash
You cannot drop off parcels here. Don’t waste your time.
it would be nice if the phone number actually worked.
This is a very dirty facility. Service is horrible.
This place is ultra-convenient, friendly, and fast.
The worst post office i have ever been too. 0 stars
Th only worker just walked out with a line.
Worse service ever. Extremely rude workers.
No assistance on simple questions
Very clean and well maintained.
RUDE and so mean to customers!
Rude people working here
Terrible experience
Rude staff
