Pretty disappointed by the services & errors made by this post office! The employees spoke to me in a annoyed/rude matter while they asked me questions about what I was mailing! This place has to be closed. This is my 4th time coming here to send mails because it is the closest location to me. I would say I had a problem every time I visited this place but I was kinda patient. Now, it is the last time I am coming to this location. They again didn't have a person to have enough people to help me out when another guy is having lunch. Ok, people may have a brake but please tell me how much it will take. No idea, they don't even know how long their lunch takes. One answer: I don't know, I don't know, come back later. When!!!! Go work somewhere else please if you don't know how to handle the normal situation and answer simple questions. I was trying to send my son's letter to Santa and they ruined the day. He was so excited. Now, he is mad. Btw, I was trying to get priority mail and use the self-checkout machine but it didn't allow me to get the right address because the shipping zip code was made up for Christmas (88888). So helpless, sad. Please, don't come here ever. That is my honest review. Don't come.

There’s a common theme here about the service and attitude. The big ogre ratchet looking girl with the big hoop is by far the worst I’ve ever seen. They have private conversation before helping customers who are in line. Also the other girl with the cashew shaped head that always has a AirPods in her ear also constantly on the phone and throws packages in the back without any care. I don’t know where they get these people to work is beyond me. Guaranteed no GED for either of them. They clearly don’t care about this job and to see many one star reviews should be a wake up call. I hope they read this. They probably too busy talking or trapping when they leave earlier than the closing time states just so they can go home to wherever sewers they come from. Parents definitely did not teach them any professionalism or work ethic

After reading other people’s reviews, I am glad to know I’m not mistaken in my perception of this place. It does look run down, unorganized, and it is small so it gets crowded easily. I didn’t even finish doing what I needed at this location and was livid when I left. The rude woman everyone else is talking about in the reviews fits the description of the same one I dealt with. She has no patience, not helpful, and condescending. I witnessed her treat other customers this way before I got to the front. She mocked me for asking about the payment process and to top it off when I went to fill out my package there was only one pen available in the whole establishment for all the customers waiting to fill their packages out. I DO NOT recommend this USPS location.

Worst usps office I’ve ever been to. The staff working here is rude and doesn’t want to help their customers at all. They asked me to drop off the unlabeled package at the drop-off location and said they would label it later. However, two days later, the website still showed "awaiting item," so I went back to the office to check. The female employee there didn't want to help at all and had a very condescending attitude. She didn't even look into my receipt, didn't check tracking number, nothing. I asked her how many days it would take for an update, and if I needed to call to check. She replied, I don’t know . You can call if you want.” Ridiculous

Beware! I rent a post office box here, and I didn’t have any problems until now. My mail is routinely opened and then stapled back together. Packages have been opened, only with them no one even bothers to tape them back and that’s if I can get my packages, as I’m usually told they are not there, even if I have proof they have been delivered. The problem really started when Paula left and someone named Kayla came in. It’s really sad that i have to stop renting a box here because it’s a hassle calling creditors and banks but this type of behavior is unacceptable.

The staff was very unprofessional with my international letter. First, she put the international stamp up side down without checking the front. I had to carefully take out and fix it. Then she put another sticker (international tracking barcode) on the bottom, which covered part of the address. She didn’t admit that she covered the address until I showed her then she fixed it. Lastly, she put the last sticker and torn off part of the letter by replacing it. As a result, she put all three stamps INCORRECT in the first place and NEVER apologized.

I showed up at 4:52 pm when it says it closes at 5:30 so i'm early. I heard the location sometimes closes at 5:00, but I'm still early. I try opening the door and the employee tells me they're closed. I said not according to your listed close time of 5:30 or your at-a-whim 5:00 pm. She was incredibly rude and notoriously dismissive with her scoff and eye roll. She locked the door on me and walked away. Several other customers came after me, and she wouldn't even address them. I hope she clocked out at 4:53 because she's 'closed'.

THE ATTITUDE From your workers are just plain RUDE!! I've never been talked to like that at a post office simply asking to scan a package. The place is dirty then I was told to go to the kiosk when absolutely no one was in line just so I can get a receipt for a prepaid label. How hard is it to do the bare minimum! If you hate your job quit! She had a complete attitude when 2 post workers sitting at the desk doing nothing. The machine didn't even have receipt paper I had to leave! If I can give zero stars I would!

Very rude staff. The lady slammed her fist on the counter while I was reading the price and the details on the screen before signing. She was as if I should have known the procedure and she even pointed at her watch looking at her colleague and shaking their head to shame me! It all took less than a minute. I understand some people grow up in shaming families but it’s really rude to shame others and make them feel like they are taking too much time. I hope this employee would address her internal shame and heal!

The one didn't open on time. I arrived at 8:30 which is the listed opening time (also stated on the signage in the lobby). At 8:30 a uniformed man came out, surveyed the lobby, clearly observed the waiting customers. At 9:00 it finally opened at it was the same guy behind the desk. I asked when they were to open and he said it was now 9:00 and the signs were just incorrect. He definitely should have said something to the waiting customers when he saw us waiting at 8:30.

Are kidding me...! End of last year, these guys did not have "rolls" of stamps for weeks..? They only had sheets of 10. This is the one product that the people go to the post office for. Now, I go there and has been "cash only" because their machines have been down for 6 weeks.! Are you kidding me? All 3 card reader machines out of service for 6 weeks, with no idea when they will be fixed. Who wants to handle cash in the Covid environment.. THIS PLACE HAS TO GO...!

The stuff is very rude and extremely unhelpful, I have a usps package wants to reschedule a redelivery time and he refuse to check the tracking number and try to push me to another office, and provide a randomly “street intersection” to let me go find their another office. And they corrected the address after I checked on the map and pushed them to give me an accurate address. “I’m suppose to serve costumers.” was exactly what he said to me. Am I not a costumer??

ZERO STARS. Terrible USPS, workers are very lazy. The person I talked to was on her airpods and phone. NOONE was in line and I was asking for a receipt for my packages with prepaid labels already and the workers said I had to "go to the self service to get the receipt" there are 3 self service machines and only 1 was working while there were 4 people standing in line to get labels. The same worker also has attitude when speaking to customers and assisting them.

Clerk was abrupt and gave answers that were unclear, and blamed me for misunderstanding. Apparently, 'what you need is in the lobby' was supposed to tell me that there was a display with mailing envelopes, rather than directing me to the self-service machines when I said 'I'd like to mail these shirts to my friend.' The place was clean and orderly, and had everything I needed, once past the confusion. I teach communications, so perhaps I am being too picky.

Dunno what all the bad reviews are about. When I went in there to ship a large box and an armful of mail all the staff had smiles. The first staffer that I went to was helpful but due to the size of box I needed to ship, the next lady over (Chi) took over and within 5 minutes everything was boxed, taped and submitted. Easy peasy! I got there around 2pm and there were maybe 5 people in line and people were getting processed in a timely manner.

I shipped a package by priority mail express international, with insurance and tracking number. My package never arrived and I came back here to inquire about my mail. And staff tells me: " what do you want me to do? The mail is out of the country and we can't do anything about it". How about insurance and me overpaying for a fast delivery? He didn't even look into my receipt, didn't check tracking number, nothing! Who pays them a salary?

A woman employee with huge earrings made a scene, called me a "weirdo" twice after I told her I was transgender, passed me on to someone else after I tried to repeat back what she told me three times, and made a big deal over me putting my mail on the counter next to her. I needed to because she indeed passed me onto someone else. She also said I needed to put a name with the return address. Given USPS' website, that is not the case.

Wow. What service. First off, the location inside the Bloc has moved, it's now on Flower just north of 8th. The size is okay and they have three mailing stations. But the woman who was standing next to the line asking if anyone needed any assistance was so patient and helpful. I've never ever seen anyone like this in any post office ever. What welcoming and hospitality. 5 stars all the way. I kind of love the post office now.

I'd give it a 0 if I could. Had a package sent from 2000 miles away. It was scanned in, but neither the package nor the slip showed up in or near my p.o. box. Anyone know the number to the inspector general of th post office? Be careful what you send. Someone has sticky fingers or just outright handed my MA to...NOT ME. And worse, they were so cavileer about it.... oh it happens.... they say! Ugh

I never had a good experience at this location and I have to ship out daily from there. The staff is unbelievably rude and they close doors 15 min prior to official closing time, every single day! Today 9 costumers stood outside asking to be let in at 515pm! The lady refused to open the doors! I have a business and rely on them to hold their commitment which they fail to do!

Very poor service. There were two female staffs, and either of them talked to customers in a cynical&impatient tone as if they owed her 2000 dollars for 10 years and never wanted to pay back and yet she had to serve them. Not even sure how these two ladies passed the hiring bar to work at this usps branch in downtown LA. They have literally no work ethic.

This place is a hot mess! They've posted signs they were closing at 2 because they were under satffed, out of stamps & money orders. They open whenever they feel like it it seems. They have 3-4 people but there is always a line. The staff can be rude or indifferent, like your wasting their time though they are being paid to provide a service.

The black female employees here are really rude and condescending. They speak with attitude and treat customers with no respect, even if the customer is being polite / respectful. I would avoid this location at all costs. Only go here as a last resort. Otherwise, please visit any other USPS location for a more pleasant experience.

I have had bad experiences with the workers here before hence I opt to use machines whenever possible. However, the machine was out today and sure enough I was treated with bad attitude (gum chewing, instagram scrolling and eye rolling). I am sure this will never get better; though i do hope things will be better eventually.

Horrible customer service. Can't remember the guys name but he's tall, leathery dark skin. In person he was so nice when I shipped my packages to my sisters house for xmas. Inconsistent hours. Can’t even check PO Box mail because I never know what the hours are. Recently they have been closed for lunch pretty often. Sometimes closed because their systems are down (even though I’m not sure what this has to do with checking my mail box). Pretty bad for a post office in my opinion.

Worst USPS location I've ever been to. Closed on random days and lunch breaks with no warning. Unprofessional staff who can't stop talking to each other long enough to acknowledge customers. Interior looks like a prison with scratched up walls and graffiti. Avoid at all costs unless you have no other option.

This post office has moved to Flower just north of 8th St. Not clear if this is temporary or permanent. Went mid-afternoon during the week and there was a very short wait. Staff were like at every post office everywhere. I would be miserable too if I had to deal with all these other reviewers.

Non functioning office that closes whenever it feels like it and just puts a note in the door. And no way to call ahead to check that they are open. Found this out the hard way when I carried a bunch of heavy packages there durning normal business hours and they were closed. Very unreliable!

I went there at 930, the sign on the front stated they opened at 9am and yet there was a line of people waiting for the shop to open up. I waited until 945 and nothing so I left. Trying to call the store doesn't do anything either because you get directed to the general USPS line.

This is my 5th time when i came in to this Post Office and it’s closed not on time. Google says it’s 5:30 , hours on the door indicate they closed at 3pm, but yesterday they were closed at 2:15 pm and this is not the first time they were closed at 1pm or 2pm . This is not ok.

I had left my packages them several times and each time is a night mare!!! Last time my package was going to Florida it left Los Angeles without being scanned and it reach NY after 4 days. It's a priority mail express and it finally got to Florida 7 days later.

The address may be a bit misleading. It is not actually in 7th street but in S Flower street in between 7th and 8th street next to LA Fitness. It is a full service post office and may get busy during peak hours. They have the option to pay with card as well.

Uncrowded, professional staff. In and out in about 7 minutes. One person to do triage near the front door, at least two more stations manned by humans, plus additional mail-your-own stations. This was the best postal experience I've had in years.
