This post office makes me never want to step a foot in another Postal Service ever again. I paid $100 in certified restricted mail. 2 of those packages came back signed from individuals who are not the recipient, 1 package was delivered to the wrong address, 2 packages are lost and the last one is sitting somewhere in the post office for the last 3 weeks. I went down there and the first manager I spoke to promised to give me a refund after waiting an hour and a half I was giving a $5.30 refund I was Furious so I left the post office and decided to call the USPS customer service they told me to go back down there and explain to them the situation, so that I can receive a refund but when I arrived there was a new manager there by the name of Marlon he began to explain to me that the USPS customer service has nothing to do with the post office and that each post office has its own set of rules pertaining to certified restricted mail which really had had me baffled. after an hour I received another $5.30 refund but nothing for all the other packages. they took my information down and said they would investigate but I haven't heard anything since. this post office providing me with the worst customer service experience possible I wouldn't even wish this post office on my worst enemy!

I went in for a Change of Address form. After giving me the form, the lady asked me to politely step aside so she can help the next person while i filled it out. After I filled out the form, a new register opened and the older lady there said she can help me. I give her my completed change of address form she says we no longer accept these forms and that I have to go online. They gave me a form, I filled it out, and then they wouldn't process the form they gave me. She said they accept this form for elderly people or the deceased or if I have problems with the online form to come back and then they'll accept the form in person. I've changed my address numerous times, this form is standard and it works in USPS even in different states. The form itself states it's the official form and that if not done in store it can be mailed in as an official document. Not only was the lady incorrect but she was also extremely unprofessional. I was already in the store with the form filled out in my hands, and they wouldn't accept it. Extremely unhelpful, extremely unprofessional. Terrible post office. Don't go here if you want to get things done.

Someone who does the mail sorting at this location is a #Thief. My packages usually arrive here and are shipped off a few hours later to my local tempe office. well with my most recent package, it arrived on Nov 9 and conveniently left on Nov 14. Being very eager to get my package that should have been here a few days past I waited at my post box. When my post master Gregg From the1962 E Apache Blvd Tempe office (super helpful as always) went to retrieve my package from the back of his truck only to show me that it had been torn in the corner of the packaging and the side slit open. He said he was going to turn it into his supervisor and have it investigated. This is truly a disgusting act, as this was a gift for my child and to have #lowlife feel up a package and then decide that they can just take it as they please and get away un-noticed . Disgusting, Despicable, Makes me Sick. Now I know most of your workers are remarkable but there Is someone there stole my kids gift And I would like Someone to get to the bottom of it. Much Appreciated please get back with me and I can provide the track number for this said package

I run a non-profit that provides students in need with laptops. I had an urgent situation last week wherein I had shipped a laptop to the wrong student. I went to my local post office but they were not much help. So I went to the main post office on Van Buren and was able to speak with Henry, whom I believe is the supervisor. He was amazing! He immediately contacted the post office in Tucson where the laptop was being held and put things in motion to resolve the issue. Henry went above and beyond to rectify this situation which was clearly a huge error on my part. He even reached out to the student to whom the laptop should have been sent and after having had a day when he was not in the office, he called me upon his return to make sure all was resolved for this student. This was at least a 4 day effort to get this all straightened out, but Henry hung in there until the end and not once made me feel that I was pestering him, even though I was a pest. (smile) Thank yo so much Henry!!

Great place to take care of your shipping needs, occasionally busy, but, typically you are in and out under 5 mins. Night crew is awesome, knowledgeable, friendly and don't blink in eye when you get there at close, just make sure you are there by 9:29, and try to be prepared so it's quick, then they never complain. I never had any problems minus one lazy move on my part, but it was resolved eventually. Most of the customers are friendly and typically considerate of others. I only use them unless not an option. Better service checking in with staff than dropping in the bins, was recently disappointed by the time it took to process a couple I left in the drops just after closing time. Small stuff, overall 5*. **Please note that Sunday hours are 10-5 for Passport pictures, and they just might help with other needs if super nice and keep it simple. Kudos to all the staff, upbeat and personable, they make you want to return,; good model for the rest of the country.

Mary and the entire staff working today 10/6 deserves a customer service award for our experience today! We had a passport appointment for our 6 day old daughter, and went above and beyond in assisting us in getting a photo for her. We had not scheduled an appointment for the photo just the passport, and had gone to 3 different places who all said they wouldn’t do infants. I was extremely stressed and worried since we just had the appointment for the application, we’d have to reschedule and try and figure out somewhere else for the photo. We’re traveling in less than 6 weeks, so it was important for us to get it submitted as soon as possible. They were so patient with a very fussy baby and spent extra time with us making sure they got a photo that met all of the requirements. I wish I had gotten everyone’s name but literally everyone working at 1145 today was amazing and I hope they all get formal recognition.

This branch is absolutely amazing Always friendly, even now with the holidays here, these folks are like no other postal branch I have frequented! I actually drive 20 minutes just to use them. Plus it helps that they have the best hours in the state of AZ!! I mean, open until 9:30pm and Saturday having a last pick up time of 9pm, come on people!!! Doesn't get much better than that, but then to add to this some of the nicest, friendliest customer service and postal staff workers to these extremely convenient business hours..... you guys are super heroes in my book and deserve MORE than 5 stars! Keep it up folks, I have the utmost respect and most sincere gratitude for you all. I will go miles and miles out of my way to use this post office! This has been my favorite post office for many years. I have never had anything get to it's destination as quickly as it does from here. I swear there's some sort of breech in the space-time continuum here. They have great hours and late pick-ups. Almost every employee I've interacted with is exceptionally friendly, helpful and seems to genuinely enjoy their job. Today I went in, on a Sunday, to submit a passport application for my son. They are appointment only on Sundays (the passport website says walk-ins on Sunday, but it's wrong). It took some begging and an appointment that didn't show up, but they took our application almost right away! I always tell my husband how this post office is magical and yet again, they did not disappoint! :)

Now I'm not going to lie, if this was the regular post office as a whole I would be giving them a one star. I have a very large online business and we have shipped out of our home 5000 packages this Christmas season alone. There are quite a few of those packages that are lost and probably won't make it in time for Christmas. However I just want to say that at this location I'd come here at night with sometimes 300 packages and the night manager has helped me every single night. He's been accommodating and super friendly. There has been a couple nights where if it wasn't for him my packages would have gotten out in time. I'm really grateful that he was as friendly and helpful as he was to us!

I used to give this location 5 stars. They have the friendliest staff I've encountered at any USPS location. That said, this location is open until 9:30 pm, which is often a lifesaver. However, you must bring the items up to the counter to be sure they go out. The drop-in bins claim last pickup is at 9:00 pm (weekdays), but twice now I've made the trip down there, dropped my packages in the outgoing bins (both times it was roughly 8:50 pm), and twice they haven't gone out until the following day. The first time, I thought it was just a bad luck fluke. Twice however makes it clear they don't follow their own policies. Based on the above issues, I've downgraded their rating to 3 stars.

I had really bad experience with one of the employees. Her name is Mary and she is very unprofessional. She told me that label on my package needs to be additionally taped on the sides and said that I can buy scotch tape from them for $6!!! There was a tape sitting on the counter next to her and I asked if I can use it. She replied rudely that I can but I have to move so she can help another customer. I sad that it’s gonna take a minute and asked her for help but she ignored me and kept saying that I need to step aside. I couldn’t believe that someone can be such a bad person and provide such a horrible service.

Horrible customer service, Terry was very rude. Me and my husband had made some errors on the passport application. Instead of correcting us. She literally made us feel stupid. She gave us 30 min to redo the applications and when we waited in line she took forever with another customer and said no I’m sorry your appointment is past due. Yet it took longer due to her being slow. Taking her sweet time. Then she started to talk to us in Spanish. Keep in mind the whole time we spoke to her in English. I was angry and annoyed yet I never disrespected her. She should take some customer service.

The post master who delivers from this location to 5104 e. Van buren st. Is incompetent. I have changed address at this post office, McD and am on lease at these apart ments. Even after today with me putting green slot he still hasn't delivered. He is costing me money during virus pandemic. I got laid off due to virus. I need new id for work. Have waited over a month to receive still isn't here. I had to have them resend. Plus today it said my new debit card that my stimulus check should go on also was supposed to come today. Its horrible post masters act this way around times like these.

Unfortunately we had some major issues with this post office. We had an issue sending envelopes out. The issue turned out to be on THEIR end. Despite this fact, we were absolutely mistreated by the supervisor of the post office. She spoke to us in an extremely distasteful way, and acted as if we were a burden. We will not return to this post office, and will follow up with a phone call to make sure that people are not treated like that. It is not often that I leave a negative review, but unfortunately this situation, and the customer service that we experienced justified it.

I use USPS a lot in my business and have visited many different locations. This location at 4949 E. Van Buren is by far and away not only the best post office location I have ever visited, but one of the most customer friendly locations of business I have been to. I have many times driven out of my way to take my packages to this location instead of another USPS location simply because I knew that the experience would be better, faster and more enjoyable. I don't know what is driving the staff there, but a very well deserved kudos to all of you!

STEVE KREATZ , is a imbecile , his life revolves around pointing the finger and swinging from politicians nuts , his life is a waste and he's probably one of the guys causing a scene at the post office because he feels his Trump black dongs and hate literature have priority over other people online sales , oh and this post office is great , they close at 930 weekdays and 5 on Saturday. As a regular customer going to buy stamps , mail a package or do anything else one might do at a post office, it's pretty typical. Fairly slow, never enough agents when it's busy. Though the ones that are there working are always very happy and eager to help you. I also utilize the business side of this location because of my job and the business I'm in. On the business side, they always have enough agents and they quickly get me in and out of there. Again, everyone working in this area is always happy and eager to assist you.

The worst services of all times! I tried to send a package to France, paid $60 for money back "guarantied" delivery within 5 business day. A month later the package was returned back to me, and after two month of calling and spending hours on hold, trying to follow up and get my money back all I heard was: "I am sorry, we are not responsible for the package once it left USA, call France to figure out why they didn`t deliver it. We can`t do anything for you. Good buy!" My question is, why would I ever go back to them again?

I went there on Sunday , they were they were useless , the supervisor is slow as molasses ! The other guy had to ask questions for everything. At the beginning of the month you should have more workers , one hour for two people.They need to have one line for passports and appointments , because they take forever. I waited for over a hour. They call next in line which was me , then his next word was any appointments.I could have been sitting there all day not knowing they take appointments first and don't tell you .

Maricopa County Elections Dept states it takes 3-5 days for an absentee ballot to reach them once it's mailed, that the post office is slower than it used to be. I find it very hard to believe that any piece of mail from Phoenix to Phoenix would take more than 1-2 days. It used to be overnight delivery. I called the post office at 6pm & spent several minutes navigating their phone system only to be told they were closed. Their website, however, states the processing center on Van Buren is open until 9:30pm.

This post office is in my opinion the best in Phoenix. They cater to you and help you in any way they can. They also have very easy access and are the main hub. Having your package here is a sense security. They have plenty of parking and always carry free shipping supplies for priority mail. Easy loading and unloading if you are mailing packages. And hands down the best post office to do business with if you own or operate a small business..... My favorite Joe

A month ago we scheduled a passport appointment for our family. We were given the option to choose a Sunday. We got all the way here and no one was in sight. The place is closed. Yes, this frustrates me because my whole family is on a different schedule, I’m the only driver, and it’s difficult to schedule appointments without me having to drive 100 to the same place. So it would have been nice to get this done since we all were able to get together. SMH

If you just drop it in a box here it will take 2-3 days for it to get scanned in and they can't explain why that is.. and I'll never for get my first experience with Kimberly at the counter when you told me "Whew..you should get some gum or something." because I had just dropped my cigarette in the ashtray outside. Rude staff... poor service... and wait until your packages disappear.. YOU WON'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK IF YOU PAY FOR THE LABEL ON EBAY.

Two people running Windows 13 people in line, there are people ou the door in line I can't see ..... one PERSON IS helping a lady with 50 boxes for last 20-30 minutes. So the other one take 3 people and closes his window. Now we watch one guy helping one lady for another 20min! And now 2nd window guy is chatting with 3rd guy....who could care less about helping anyone! Most horrible postal experience I've ever!

I was at the facility on the day they first opened. I saved a lot of money sending 55 heavy cartons to the far east. There were delivered in timely many in perfect condition. I made the mistake of using an other shipper and the experience was poor. My use of USPS has been strictly personal. Not once was a clerk rude or lacking vast knowledge. They are thorough, know their jobs and offer advice.

Experience was awful as priority was given to specific customers and a worker would not carefully listen to what I needed it to be shipped.Attitude was given to me by this specific worker called Judi and this worker didn't care to listen to any of my concerns. Not only she was unwilling to help but also provided me with wrong information till I proved her wrong. I will never go back....

Mary doesn't enjoy her job at the post office and it definitely shows in the way she treats customers. It seemed like she got a kick out of watching me struggle to prepare my package, and didnt lift a finger to guide me in the right direction. Only came to this location for their convenient hours, but will make arrangements in the future, so I don't have to visit this location again.

A post office that is open after regular business hours! A person at the door to help you figure out which forms you need to fill out! Friendly and helpful postal staff! This isn't an episode of the Twilight Zone.... It is the best post office in all the land, or at least the best post office in all of Phoenix. Not happy! Apparently they have a package I ordered Dec. 1, 2016. It made it all the way from China, to be delivered to one Phoenix post office to this post office on Dec. 16, 2016, and is still sitting there! What is the problem? Does anyone even read these ? What do I have to do to get my package delivered? Estimated delivery was between Dec. 10-31 Feeling frustrated!

I just love that I can come here on a Sunday morning and get the best possible service from the post office ever! A beautiful redhead named Natalie was so pleasant and welcoming! I feel so amazed! I guess it depends on your energy. She and I hit it off and I am so in awe that a piece of mail or package can be delivered so beautifully and efficiently in this big world!

Great ppl at the warehouse recieving,, oh how nice and accomodating they were,, wish all the warehouses are like this,, had an appt for sunday 14th at 2pm,, checked in on Saturday 13th at 9am,, they unloaded me around 11.50 am Saturday, and on top of that ,, they were so kind helpful and professional,, keep up the good work guys

I will never ship through the post offixe again. I trusted the employee on how to ship and it was incorrect. So now my package has been somewhere, no one knows where in alb since the 31. And not I e person can confirm which location to SEND someone to pick up. Worst experience I've had ever shipping. Never again. I'd rather pay the Arma ND leg to shop FedEx

Clerk 21 helping in sending out a document and let me just say how great she is! She has amazing customer service skills, very nice, patient and made sure we were aware of all our options! This is what customer service should all be like helpful and courteous. I also overheard the other employees and the also were very good to the customers

I like coming here. Othe guys I work with aren't big fans of it and I get it, there are some things they can work on here and there, but it's a simple drop/hook here for the most part and they're all nice here. Everyone stays out of your way when you're backing trailers and they do everything they can to check you in and out pretty quick.

I drive from Casa Grande every evening to deliver my packages to this post office. Most of this staff at this location is very friendly. Judy and Jack are really helpful and go out of the way to help and give assistance to their customers. The lobby inside is open 24 hours and the retail desks stay open until 9:30 PM which is huge plus.

Best experience! Did not managed to get the name of the gentleman who helped me, I had 11 very light parcels, I did not ask for help, on hearing that I have that many, he pushed a trolley out for me, serviced with the greatest smile! The rest of the employees service with great energy and smile, what more can we ask for in this world!

My package has been sitting at your facility for over a week now; since the day the label was made and shipment was received. I paid for guaranteed shipment by Christmas. This is unacceptable. I have had multiple issues with USPS this year while Amazon and FedEx have been exceptionally prompt with their deliveries.

The staff is excellent and knowledgeable. Sometimes there is a wait, especially if you don't pay for your label up front, but it's not another out of the ordinary for the Post Office. Staff is very nice. Also, the only thing I don't like is that they close earlier than before, but that's not a deal breaker for me.

I drive all the way from Scottsdale to this post office even though I have two post offices closer, one within a two mile distance. Due to the friendly staff, helpful, feels like the one I was raised with in the beach town Laguna Beach. I go there at least twice a month for my business and personal. Deborah

Yesterday, on the last day of Tax filing 2021, this Post Office was one of the few in Phoenix that were open till late. It was crowded, but what a pleasant surprise, the line was being attended fairly fast. Anthony who attended me was friendly, fast and helpful. Thank you Anthony for your great attitude.

85026 missent. Returned to Phoenix at different zip code After 2 days departed. 1 day and 6 hours later departed again. 24 hours later it is in Atlanta Will be 3 days late if I'm lucky. I'm in Alabama. USPS please hire people that can read and weekly drug test . Clean up your act and be smart for once.

They could not care less about their customers. They just let their phone ring for days without answering. Out of 30+ attempts to reach them, the phone was answered once and then just immediately hung up without even a "hello". Anyone in the private sector would be fired for such egregious apathy.

Tried calling them to ask the lobby hours because I know the lobby isn't open till 9:30 but when I called I couldn't even talk to a real person trying for like 20 minutes and when I ask the automated machine for their hours, they gave me the same hours as I saw on the page as displayed hours open

Best post office ever. As a small business owner, it is extremely important that my packages are SCANNED, handled with care, and moving in a timely manner. I live practically next door to the post office on 20th St/Camelback and still drive here to drop off my packages. I love you folks!!

Without a doubt the most efficient and best Post Office in the Phoenix/Metroplex! Staff is consistently friendly and helpful. I go out of my way to patron this post office versus the post office within 2miles of our house and business. Why, because they operate as a post office should!

I've been to the Van Buren location and the location on thomas, and the Van Buren location has always been better. I shipped a huge pogo stick that weighed 20lbs today, and the woman that worked with me was super nice and surprisingly unfazed. Ended up being about $20 cheaper than ups.

7 spots to serve customers and only 1 open with 15 people in line and the one that is open is processing passports for a family of 5. Typical government service in action. Now after 20 minutes and 5 people walking out they opened up a 2nd line smh the epitome of poor service.

Do not expect them to be here at 8am like their posted hours. It is now 8:09 and the doors have yet to be unlocked. At 8:10 someone came out and said "someone should be here in a few minutes" VERY rudely. Don't think you can come here before work before you will be late :).

This is the best post office ever. My family lives in Illinois and Indiana and I'm always sending packages. The entire staff will joke around about anything and everything. Judy is my favorite but I love them all. And, they are open late too, big plus for me.

Passport was a complete sham we told him what we wanted and he messed it up! Total hack job worst experience ever. Do not go here for passports 3 out of 4 were done wrong… hire competent people breathing should not be a criteria for employment

This is the main postal sorting facility for Phoenix maybe even for Arizona. If you want your box to have less delays drop it here. It could shave off a day, or two. Never had a bad experience here like most post offices have to wait in lines.

Wow after spending 40 min in line I get to The counter and the employee says I'm 1 minute late to get the package to be sent overnight One minute late after staying in the line for 40 minutes unbelievable but believe it it just happened

I have been waiting on a package which I tracked several times. It has been sitting in your post office (85026) for 9 days now without moving. Which made me miss a very important deadline. If I could rate less than 1 star I would.

This has to be the friendliest staff I have even met at a post office. There never seems to be too much of a line, which is so rare for the post office. It is clean and a large post office site. Highly recommend stopping here.

They have the most flexible hours in Arizona, being open until 9:30pm! Low staff turnover, and friendly. Always a reasonable waiting line when there is one. A vast roomy parking lot so you never struggle for a space.

Went to this location Christmas Eve and was in and out in under five minutes with friendly helpful faces! I have been here on several occasions since and had nothing but super fast and friendly service.

Before I walked in, my project for bulk mailing was a mess, but Mr. Mike was super helpful and patient. If you have questions about bulk mailing, Mr. Mike and his colleagues will save your life. :)

Just left this Post Office and could not have had a better experience. There was no line, all the necessary supplies were available, and Steve was very helpful. This is my new favorite location.

Best post office location in Phoenix. The staff here is excellent, this location has later hours than most locations, and its more spacious/has better parking compared to other post offices.

Only two clerks and both were very slow!! Both had one customer each ahead of me and I must've waited 15 mins before one of them finished with the 1 small package for his customer. Wowwwww

This is the best post office I've been to in the valley. The employees are friendly, capable, and willing to help. There is often a line, but I find that at most post offices.

Bad experience. Made an appointment online to apply for a passport only to find out that this place is closed Sunday’s. Some major updating has to be done on their part.

The lady that helped me was very friendly and helpful. I was able to get my shipment done and get all my questions answered. Thanks for making my task a stress free one!

This is the main Post Office for most of the Phoenix Metro Area it is an SCF and if you bring your packages here they will go out faster to the main network.

Never opens on time .so if your in a rush please don’t come exactly at 8 maybe 830-9am . This has happened to me 3x already . I’m here right now waiting .

Clerks are always helpful with a smiling face. This USPS store has extended business hours and it is very convenient to drop off items after the work.

I love the friendly, speedy, competent service at the Van Buren main post office. And, in addition, they are open late hours. What a win, win!

This post office scanned a package of mine (on its way from Utah to Missouri) as delivered at 3:51am and the package then disappeared.

Big location, well maintained, all shipping supplies available. They also have PO Boxes available and a self-service area.

The three women that work the clerk desks in the morning are awesome and deserve some recommendations by their employer.

The 24 hour self service facilities are great! You can weight packages and buy postage with credit or debit.

Used to close at 9pm. was the only thing this post office was good for. closes at 5 now, total waste.
