This is the WORST post office I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They are understaffed and overworked. I have filed a complaint with consumer affairs against them. It took them two months from the time I moved in to rekey my mail box so that I could have access. I lost critical mail during this time. I was not able to get my mail and after multiple visits to the post office where they offered me no solution, I escalated the situation to a supervisor at which time they told me to fill out a card and hold my mail until the end of that month but I would have to go back and collect the mail in person as it would not be delivered to me. When I went back to collect my mail they had LOST all the mail that was held and had NO EXPLANATION and NO SOLUTION for me. They lost my $3000.00 wedding photo package, my medical benefits welcome package plus cards, my insurance ID's, my AAA membership cards, and other critical pieces of mail. When you go into the office they do not care and they do not offer any solutions whatsoever. I have yet to retrieve this mail and I have to go through the process of waiting for the complaint to be filed, although I do not believe I will get my items back. I called the post office to make the complaint and they escalated it to consumer affairs. Probably a strategy so they don't have to deal with it directly. My mail is continually and regularly delivered a month late, or not delivered at all and no one at the post office has any idea what is going on. They have a dismissive "I have too much on my plate, go away annoying customer" attitude and each employee there should be reprimanded, fired, or they should adequately staff this place to get these disgruntled workers some help. SHAME ON YOU US POSTAL SERVICE!! It is disgusting to be in such a helpless place while they hold all the power and operate as one of the worst and least efficient organizations that exists.

I gave it 1 star because there are some friendly helpful workers at the front. BUT the Manager that is here is very bad. With how she treats employees how are they not filing a lawsuite for how she speaks and treats them. I forgot her name but she is taller lady with brown hair. I used to go here often for work and i had to deal with her few times. She is so condensing to customers.. Discriminating for sure. Acts as if she is so bothered by everyone. Doesn't want to be there. She must be related to someone at the top to keep her job. The employees were talking bout how she was never there and hopefully be quiting soon. Despite her the office is very hot in summer, humidity is bad and it smells so bad by the door. The really need to clean it. Bleach treatment needed for sure. Dust on cards, sticky candy by the walls and nectl to the lock boxes people were sleeping so it might be hard to get to your po box. My shoes always felt sticky when I walked out. Lines always extreamly long and parking lot is not only extremely difficult to get in and out of but small. Go to eastridge

I have had a PO box here since 2013 and this has been my neighborhood USPS station since 2012. They are grossly understaffed, frequently lose my packages, they are badly disorganized, employee morale is horrible and the overall process and management of this office seems eternally broken and completely lacking in professionalism. Be prepared to stand in line for 30+ minutes for even the simplest tasks any time of the day. It's rare that I have to go into the retail part of the branch, but when I do I dread doing so. For box renters, they have a service door and call bell with posted hours of service, but the posted hours rarely seem to apply and they usually ignore the call bell. I still have my box here, but I ended up getting a box of equal size at a nearby PostalAnnex+ in 2015 at 3277 S White Rd. They are much friendlier and easier to work with, but a little pricier. I send anything of importance to PostalAnnex and use the USPS box for general mail. This USPS station is long overdue for -- and in desperate need of -- a management, process and employee-morale overhaul.

I live in the Villages in San Jose. Two days ago I put a critical letter into my mailbox for delivery to my hospital. I found that same letter sitting on top of the wooden support for some of our mailboxes. There were also two other letters that had been posted in a neighbor's mailbox sitting on top of the structure also. It is clear that the idiot that was to pick up the mail must have placed our letters on top of the structure and then forgot them and left them to the elements and anyone that walked by. I saw his truck sitting in front of our 4 mailboxes for close to 5 minutes the other day during the pickup. Now my letter will not reach my Kaiser center in time for my critical evaluation by a Kaiser committee. Several of the neighbors have complained about the service we are receiving from the USPS drivers here. I demand that you dismiss that incompetent driver that has jeopardized my medical treatment due to his/her lax service. No wonder the USPS is losing a fortune every year. You have hired a bunch of losers that don't care.

I dropped a letter in the mailbox in front of the post office, but it was lost and never delivered to the recipient. I submitted a search request and sought help from the post office employee. What I get is the unprofessionalism and irresponsibility of the people who work here. You will be treated as a liar if you do not have a tracking number or receipt. And they see me as a liar. They said many people said they sent letters, but they did not. I told them I didn't need to know what other people were like. But in my case, I'm 100% sure I sent that letter. They talked to their customers like a criminal, they told me why I didn't confirm with the recipient, why I had to send first class mail, and why I didn't send priority mail or something like that. It was the questions of why it was unprofessional and irresponsible. If I had another choice, I believed I would never use USPS.

A tragic mess,lack of duty and pride a Small office bring hammer by more then it was ever to expect when it open,i should know I was here when it was built. We can expect them to handle it all as well as collect and manage to assure it destination! Yet! I do agree more help is needed up front,and the reason maybe be share hours? while other are cut down so staffing fully would be a Negative..So,a game is play or what other reason can it be? surely, the are enough postal workers to do the job up front,and if they not happy Campers maybe what they should do is find another camp ground too be,we appreciate if the lines could just keep moving..that a smile is better then Anger.....that keeping a job in this state is not easy so why do things to loose yours?

Junk service attitude, I wrote the wrong address for shopping on Amazon, and then I called the post office and no one answered the phone. I contacted the merchant and called the post office and asked him to keep the goods for me to pick up. After I went there for a while, I said not here While asking me to go to the other side, I went over there and said that it was here, but the printed list proved to me at this post office. This side said no, saying that it hasn't arrived yet, so I gave her the list and kept it. When I got off the phone, I said that I would keep the goods for me to pick up. I went early the next morning and he said the goods were sent out. That attitude was really bad.

The work place attitude is the worst. The head of this post office never returns calls, doesn't handle complaints, doesn't manage his carriers so we don't get our mail consistently and he is a big Mr. ATTITUDE. Not only is the service bad, but most people don't know there are small posted traffic signs which will get you a ticket with a big fine for turning left into the post office parking lot. ( see photo) Mail early. Also, don't count on the insurance paying you if something happens. They almost always deny claims. Try another service. Better delivery times, happier employees, and they give credit on their delivery flub ubs.

This is one of the most helpful and efficient locations I have visited so far. We had a missing package and thanks to this office we were able to locate it and retrieve it. Shivpartap Singh, Harvinder Sangha, and Kuldeep Sanghera were super helpful in making this possible. I would like to thank them so much for their assistance and truly going out of their way to help. This office is quite busy, yet they took their time to resolve the problem. What an amazing, kind, and helpful staff this location has! Thank you so so much!

at 11:00 am on August 19, 2021. I came here and sent a letter. The female staff member named (( UYEN )) me. she is also vietnamese like me. but she has a very impolite service attitude to say is very rude. When she found out that I spoke Vietnamese, she changed her tone sharply, I don't understand how she could hire such a lousy employee. Because there was a long line waiting, I didn't want to argue with her. I understand why this place has so few stars. I have never seen a woman as rude as her in my life.

Worst post office I've ever came across. I went in to the station and every employee was so rude. I was disgusted by the way the spoke to people. They were raising their voices at costumers and giving them attitude. I have called the station and no one picks up. The phone just rings and rings until it disconnects. When I did get the chance to speak to someone he gave me so much attitude and basically told me that the package that was undelivered to my house is in a huge pile that's too big for them to look through.

The carrier on my area submits my packages as delivered around 2 and 3 pm while he shows up at 6 pm every evening. He isn't accurate with delivering and that is tampering with my mail. My package showed delivered at 2 pm and arrived 9am next morning. I asked the carrier why this was happening unlike before. His reply was that all packages need to checked in by 3pm. It absolutely makes no sense, this is the 6th time he has been delivering unprofessional. He said I was his last stop so he needed to do it that way.

This is the 1st time I have to leave a negative review for delivery service. My package said delivered but was never here. I checked my camera an hour before and after and saw NO DELIVERY! I’m extremely disappointed with USPS, especially the Hillview location. Ive received letters with the wrong address before, packages marked as delivered but came in a day later. Now, my package never even come. I contacted USPS VIA EMAIL and still no reply. BE CAREFUL! The employees here are not honest at all.

I have never wanted to go inside a USPS office unless my circunstamaces force me to . And I have to go here because it's close by. As for the reason why, everyone is so hasty and no one want to give a smile or talk softly. In these recent times, thing has changed, or it's what I saw personally. The staffs are very helpful, speak softly and they smile, they laugh a lot; the customers have an easier time understand and follow through. it really smoothens such a stranding process. Hope they keep up

I'm from out of town and I don't expect anything less wherever I am. Thus, this location did it all. Both women at the front and especially A Maria that won't give me her last name were passive, rude, useless and condescending. She did not take the time to explain anything and when I continued to ask questions, she answered impatiently and short. Customer service should be prime but apparently not at this location. If you want a good day, try at another location.

Worst Service of All!!! I paid for a mailbox to be added to my friends mailbox 2 months ago and they still have not put me on the box or in the system. When my friend went to check they gave her so much attitude and they just were straight out rude. They're extremely useless, they do not answer their phone when I finally got through to them after the 7th phone call they put me on hold for another ten minutes. They lost my package that was transferred over to them from UPS. I have a tracking number from UPS confirming it was transferred to this post office and they claim they did not receive it at all and were not willing to help me try and find it, they just said I was out of luck.

i put my letter at my single mailbox with the "letter waiting to pick up" lever in the UP position. Its been two separate days now and i see the letter is still there without being picked up. Called the Alvin St PO to complain but could never get them to answer the phone after repeated attempts. I CALLED THEM AND THEY WONT PICK UP! Guess what? Apparently 2 of my packages said "delivered"and when I came home to check I had NO MAIL. Like no advertisements or grocery papers or anything. Address Change is an important step for people moving into their new home and MARIA made it EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT and DID NOT help with the process at all. Very very RUDE and Unprofessional. Always crowded and you'll have to wait for a long time for your turn. Do not come if you are in a hurry. However, the staff are very friendly, patient and helpful. One of the staff showed me clearly and thoroughly what I had to do to solve my problem, and didn't forget to put a smile on her face after wishing me a good day. The way they work is way too slow, though.

Twenty minutes before the time on the door said the office close'd. The rude disrespectful staff told me "We cose....you get out reave" THIS IS NOT A MISSPELLING. They told me this then processed to talk in their native language insulting and making fun of me. *FYI if you want to work for the post office being rude and not speaking English is a requirement.

This Postal Office has the worst reviews and review score in the entire Bay Area. I think the people that work there want to try their best, but they come across as UNHELPFUL AND DISHONEST. I've known other locals that also have had terrible experiences there. Maybe give the employees a pay raise, or hire more people so there's less stress on employees?

This is BY FAR the worst PO I have ever been to... EVER!! Lines go out the door, 1 clerk, maybe 2, but the second is likely to go on break or lunch or leave for the day before you get halfway through the line. The delivery service that comes out of this post office is horrible I'm constantly getting everyone else's mail but my own, neighbors deliver it days later. sales normally start on Wednesday I don't get the ads until Friday if I even get them. This has been going on for years this is the worst post office ever

Send a package more than 3 months ago. Didn't get to the destination. After it come out from the USA, nobody get responsible and it get lost. The other countries will find any excuse to make it disappeared. Not even insurance will help. Tracking number is never found. It's all a joke.

This is a real post office with retail items, P.O. Boxes, drop off service, and everything else you need or want from a post office. The staff are friendly and helpful. The staff speak different languages as well. It's clean and air conditioned. It's right off of Tully Road.

The mailman did not left any notice at my mail box or my front door when he didn't delivery package, but the mailman updated tracking number and said: " Left Notice". This happened many times, I'm very disappointed their service... in fact, they are very poor service.
